I and Adam vere curled up together in my bed together sleeping, vhen vhe alarm vent off vhis morning. "No," Adam said.

"I have vo. I have a vlight in a couple of hours," I said.

"But I don't want you to go," Adam said.

"I know but ve have to go to the Embassy in Washington DC this morning. The plane leaves in a couple of hours," I said.

"Will you be back in time for tonight's game?" Adam said.

"Probably not likely, since ve have a 7:05 pm flight to Atlanta," I said.

"So, you won't be back until?" Adam said.

"Vomorrow morning, early," I said.

"This sucks," Adam said.

"I know, vou better get out of here, before Pabbi comes barreling in here," I said.

"I thought that you said that your father knows about us?" Adam asked.

"He does, but vhat doesn't mean vhat he accepts it. Vou know vhat I mean?" I asked.

"Yeah, I get it. I love you, have a safe flight," Adam said.

"Have a good game," I said. Ve kissed and then Adam left my bed. I quickly got up and into vhe shower. If I vas going to be presentable vo vhe embassy, I needed vo be clean.

Vhe vaxi showed up at exactly 5:45. Astrid dragged herself out to the vaxi before she said, "Vhy do I vave vo go?"

"BECAUSE YOUR BROTHER IS AN IDIOT AND IT WOULD HELP WITH THE EMBASSY TO SEE THAT WE HAVE A VALID EXCUSE TO GET YOUR BROTHER OUT OF THIS WRETCHED COUNTRY!" Father said.

Ve pushed back from vhe gate at 6:50 am and ve vere on our way vithin 5 minutes of push back. Ve had gotten to Vashington at 10:15 am vhanks vo vhe vind vhat vas pushing us down towards Vashington. It vas 1030 vhen ve got out vo vhe verminal. Ve didn't have any luggage since it vas a quick day vrip.

As ve vere valking vhrough vhe verminal on vhe vay vo vhe Vaxi area, Astrid stopped me as she vas reading vhe historical display.

"Gunnar, vhat is a plantation?" Astrid asked.

"I don't know, vou vould have vo ask Adam and Bella vhen ve return, to Minneapolis," I said.

"LET'S GO WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR DILLY DOLLYING," Father said.

Vhen ve vere crossing vhe Potomac River, ve got a clear biew of a vuilding vhat seemed vo go up into vhe sky.

"Vhoa vhat is vhat building?" Astrid asked.

"What Building?" The taxi driver asked.

"Vhat building vhat is going up into vhe sky," Astrid said.

"That is the Washington Monument Ma'am, named after our first President of The United States," The taxi driver said.

"Vhoa vhat is so cool," Astrid said.

"I agree," I said.

"First time in Washington?" The taxi driver asked.

"Ves," Astrid and I said together.

"NO," Father said.

"Oh well you definitely need to put the White house and the Smithsonian on your list of places to visit while you are here. Are you staying for a while?" The taxi driver asked.

"IT IS A QUICK DAY TRIP YOU IDIOT AMERICAN, NOW DRIVE!" Father said.

"Yes sir," The taxi driver said.

I felt bad vith vhat my father said vo vhe man, I didn't know how vo make it up vo him. I vhink vhat he vas happy vo drop us off at vhe Embassy.

Ve vaited at vhe Embassy and I filled out a bunch of paperwork.

"Father are you sure vhis is necessary, I am sure it's vound vo vurn up," I asked while I was filling out paperwork.

"YES I WANT YOU HOME ON SATURDAY GUNNAR. WE NEED TO THINK LONG TERM HERE. WHAT IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST. YOU HAVE HAD THIS AMERICAN DREAM FOR TOO LONG AND NOW IT IS TIME TO COME HOME TO ÌSLAND," Father said.

After ve got through vith vhe paperwork and had lunch in vhe cafeteria. Ve had to meet vith vhe head of disa selection and Administration Ms. Petronella Gunnþórunndóttir.

"I am sorry Minister, but we cannot fast track Gunnar's visa through in 3 days." Ms. Gunnþórunndóttir said.

"WHAT?" My Father yelled.

"You heard me," Ms. Gunnþórunndóttir said.

"THIS IS SO FUCKING UNBELIEVEABLE. I WANT MY SON HOME!" My Father yelled.

"There is nothing that I can do, my hands are tied." Ms. Gunnþórunndóttir said.

"I WANT TO SPEAK TO THE AMBASSADOR! NOW!" My father yelled.

So, What do you think? Please take 5 minutes and leave a review! Thanks in advance!
