Everything was silent for a brief moment as if time had stood still. Lori was readying her powers in case these thugs, whoever they are, got out of their van and planned to shoot up the whole place. It was almost like time had stood still, but then, something frightening happened. A grenade had been thrown out of the broken shotgun window, and many cops hid behind cover. Luckily, thanks to Lori's quick thinking, she picked up the grenade and threw it right above her and shot at it with a fire blast so the explosion wouldn't hit the ground and not hurt anyone, then two of the armed thugs came out and one fired an AK-47 machine gun, and another fired a desert eagle. Before Lori knew it, it became an all-out shootout between the cops and the bad guys. For Lori, she hid with two police officers behind one of the cop cars so she wouldn't get a bullet in her flesh.

"Officer, who are these guys?" said Lori

"Members of the Red Macaw gang." said the lead officer on the scene. "a dangerous gang that has been terrorizing Royal Woods for months now since they moved from New Orleans." then he fired his shotgun at an incoming gang member. "These guys are really dangerous and armed to the teeth."

Lori looked on to see how maniacal and dangerous this gang were and realized that the officer was right. "Armed to the teeth" would be the perfect way to describe them. They had many kinds of weapons on them from pistols to shotguns to machine guns. But, nonetheless, Lori had to stop these thugs from causing any more damage. She rushed forward and dodged many bullets coming at her "Matrix" style. It was a very scary situation, but she was also feeling... excited to be in the thrill of this conflict.

Avoiding a punch from one of the gang members, Lori managed to kick another gang member in the groin from a jump, as fast as an arrow from a bow, making the brute scream in a high-pitch voice, and keel over from the unbearable pain. Nothing was more painful to a man than getting kicked in that area.

"Ay!" the gang member exclaimed as he was doubling over.

One of his colleagues got mad and tried to swipe at Lori with a machete, but Lori was quicker and fired a wave of flames at his right arm, making him drop his blade.

These gang members were realizing that Volcano Girl was no pushover, and not someone to trifle with. They also realized that with her fighting against them, they cannot win, considering the fact that she had already incapacitated two of them.

"Come on, girl." said one member. "I'll take you on myself!"

"I wouldn't literally get your hope up if i were you." Lori readied herself. She dodged a punch from the bad guy and then another, and noticed that the goon had a pocket knife on him, trying to stab her with it. She caught his arm and was trying to hard to keep the knife away from her skin, but it looked like she was losing. But Lori had an idea: she spat in the guy's face, making him grossed out, feeling his right arm being grabbed, and then Lori gave him a powerful uppercut, making him crash into a nearby telephone pole.

Now Lori was not playing around. She fired more blasts of flames at more of the armed thugs, catching some on fire, but many of them dodged behind the burning van. Little did they realize that Lori, thanks to her new powers, she was able to withstand the intense heat, and she just walked over to the van, over the flames like a cool hero in a movie, and began kicking some more bad guy butt with her skills. It took a little while, but Lori managed to tie up the remaining baddies, and tossed them over to the cops.

The ones who were not bound were immediately cuffed by a couple of officers. Once again, the day is saved by Volcano Girl, who smiled at seeing how everyone was safe again. One of the officers walked up to Lori and recognized her. "Thank you, volcano Girl." said the cop. "You have done it again."

"Oh, well, you know." Lori flustered. "I was just keeping the peace around here."

"The Red Macaw gang has been trouble for a little while here." said the officer. "We don't know why they moved here from Louisiana, but they have been a thorn on our side for a while. Well... up until now when you stopped them. We'll be sure to tell the mayor about your heroic act you have just done."

Lori smiled again. "Thank you officer.

The thugs just glared at her as they were being hauled away in the police cars to prison. The teenage girl was feeling very proud of herself for stopping another act of crime and villainy. This new superhero was, indeed, starting to grow on her like a pair of perfect-sized shoes. Alas, it wore her out and felt like going home to rest for a while, and watch the rest of Dream Boat with her entire family. When she returned home, she was happy to see that there was still a couple more episodes of this marathon left, and promptly sat down to relax herself.

"How was the chase, Lori?"

"It was crazy." the eldest sister sighed. "But i managed to stop those goons."

"That's my girl." Lynn Sr hugged her tightly.

When it was lights out later on at night, Lori was looking at the sky and at the starts to wonder what other crime could be stopped tomorrow. Sure, she was new to the superhero lifestyle, but she knows that crime never sleeps like she will. But even superheroes like her need some sleep. She promptly crashed into her bed and dozed off for the night

Throughout the morning, Lori was searching around the area to look for more crime to stop, and while in her superhero outfit, was met by a little boy who wanted an autograph from her. "Excuse me, Volcano Girl," he said with a pen and a book. "Can i please have your autograph? his mom walked up to him from behind.

"Thank you for saying please, Mason."

"Of course I can give you an autograph." Lori smiled. After she did just that, she hugged the young boy. "Stay safe, Mason. And stay in school, ok?"

"I will. Thanks Volcano Girl." then Mason hugged her back before walking with her mom down the street, very happy to have gotten an autograph from his favorite superhero. Lori was smiling on at the boy being happy, and she was startled by some voice.

"Ah kids." said a male voice that sounded smooth and suave. She turned around to meet a young man with black hair almost touching his shoulders. He also had a blue leather jacket and some dark blue jeans. His face was a little pointy at the chin, and his eyes were blue. "Living happy-go-lucky lives without a care in the world. It just warms your heart.

"And... who are you?" asked Lori.

"Oh, of course. Allow me to introduce myself." He bowed. "I am Leon Strenger. And you are Volcano Girl. Am I correct?"

"Yes." Lori looked a little uncomfortable. "What do you want from me?"

"I just wanted to show you my ice cream parlor that I just opened. It's called Leon's Lickery."

"Oh. Well it is a little warm right now." Lori said. "Ok, I'll literally have an ice cream cone. Though it may not be as good as Aunt Pam's."

"Au contraire." Leon chuckled. "My ice cream is far superior to her. But come on. Being a superhero, you can have the first one for free."

"Ooh. Sounds nice." Said Lori.

as she walked down a few blocks with this stranger, the place looked really nice with a bit pizzaz in it with snowflakes on the billboard and the title of the place in cursive.

"bienvenue, milady." Said Leon. "Step right up."

as Lori walked inside, the atmosphere felt a little cold. But hey, it was an ice cream parlor, so it shouldn't be a big surprise. "Funny, there's no one else here."

"That's because I have just opened this morning, silly girl." Leon smiled. "Now, what would you like to order?"

"Just a chocolate cone."

"Of course. Let me fix that up for you." Leon did just that and fixed her the treat she wanted, and it looked so yummy. "Here you go."

as Lori was enjoying her ice cream, it tasted so good. Little did she know that: Leon raised his left hand and was aiming it at Lori's head, but by happy mistake, Lori sneezed and pulled her head back and saw that there was a piece of ice on the wall next you her, "what the literal heck?!" She exclaimed. "What is going on here?"

"I guess the jig is up." Leon sighed before raising his other hand and trying to freeze Lori with ice blasts. "Call me the Snow Flaker."
