Happy Thanksgiving and welcome all to my newest and brand new fanfic, Yugioh: Land of the Champions! This story will see if three different duelists can meet up and try to win of the toughest tournaments they've ever been in. Now for the rules of the story. I will be using all of the current OCG/TCG rules of the game and also I'm using both the current OCG/TCG banlists (OCG Current: April 2024) - (TCG Current: September 2024) and combine them to make one list for the story (I will use banned cards if I have to and will update the story to use the newest ban list changes when I have to). Link and Pendulum monsters will be seen and I'm going to try to use decks I've never used before to make this a very fun story. I will also use cards made by myself, other writers and cards that are only in the manga and anime as well. Also, I'll be using American names, but if the Japanese names are better (Destiny Hero and Sin monsters for example) are better, I'll use the Japanese ones. Also, when I use a "Hero" monster, It'll stay as Hero instead of the TCG way of HERO and also, for cards that are created by me and others, I'll put in GY instead of graveyard. Also, this story takes place about 8 years after Yusei Fudo Defeated Z-One in one of the best duels ever seen by anyone. With all of this said and done, let's get this story started! Like all of my stories, this story will be dedicated to my wonderful and loving mother who sadly passed away on September 1st, 2021 and for my uncle I lost in 2023 and my aunt who I lost in 2023 as well. This is for you all!

Inside of a well-lit office, A tall middle-aged man wearing a grey suit and with brown hair and glasses was watching a Computer screen. In the small office, 2 other guys that were his sons where wearing black suits as well and working on their laptops as well.
The one at the desk sighed and replied, "We need to find three duelists that will crush anyone in their path in the tournament we started up se we can recruit them for our team."
His older brother only nodded and then the younger guy looked at his cellphone and replied, "This is our lucky day right now. The Final Match of the Tennessee State Championship at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville is wrapping up now and the final match looks like to be a good one, dad. We should look it up."
"Load it up for us, son."
He nodded as he quickly did so.

At the Tennessee Championship at Dothan's biggest sporting arena, the tournament was at its final match. The female duelist on the right was a duelist by the name of Bailey Colemon. She was a tall 5'7 duelist that wore glasses who wore a beautiful purple skirt and a large red shirt and she had a tattoo of a eagle surrounded by red and orange flames on her chest that said LIFE DREAMER below it in black letters and both of her arms were covered in sleeves of flower and various other tattoos as well. Defending her was a Golem Dragon (DEF: 2,000) and a Alexandrite Dragon (ATK: 2,000) as well as 1 facedown card as well as 2 cards left in her hand. Her name was Ashlee Grace Erickson and she also had the words DRAGON QUEEN tattooed across her chest in black letters that was also surrounded by small red and pink hearts as well. Her opponent was a brown-haired lady by the name of Martha Worthingtom and he controlled a facedown card and no other facedown cards with two cards in her hand.

Ashley nodded and replied, "Your a tough duelist. I end my turn now."
Martha drew a card and replied, "I summon my Sunlight Unicorn."
As she sat the card down, a beautiful blue-haired unicorn appeared (ATK: 1,800) and she replied, "Let me check the top card."
She did so and it was her Mage Power and she grabbed it and equip to her steed (ATK: 1,800 - 2,800).
"Attack her stronger dragon!
"It charged and rammed its horn into the dragon's side and it roared and before it shattered into small shards of light (Bailey LP: 3600 - 2800).
"Gotcha there! I end my turn now."
Ashlee drew a card and resumed, "I tribute my Golem Dragon for my Des Volstgalph."
The rocky dragon vanished and the large desert-like dragon appeared with a roar (ATK: 2,200) and she resumed, "I now activate Stamping Destruction!"
The dragon lifted its foot it and slammed it down quickly and send a shockwave and smashed her Mage Power card to bits (Martha LP: 3300 - 2800) and then her dragon let out a small roar (ATK: 2,200 - 2,400).
"Destroy her Unicorn!"
The dragon roared as a burst of fiery energy shot out, reducing the Unicorn to a cloud of fiery smoke & ash (Martha LP: 2800 - 2200) and then the dragon let out another small roar as a small burst of flames struck her down (Martha LP: 2200 - 1700).
"There you go. I End my turn now."
The dragon's boost went back down (ATK: 2,400 -2,200) and Martha drew a card and resumed, "I'll set a monster and a card and that's my turn now."
She drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Mirage Dragon."
She played the card and the beautiful dragon of light appeared (ATK: 1,600) and she resumed, "Mirage Dragon, attack!"
The dragon let out a fiery burst of light and a Large dog appeared on the card (DEF: 800) and the blast blew it to pieces and then two more Assault Dogs appeared (ATK: 1,200 x2) and she resumed, "Attack again!"
The dragon roared and then she resumed, "I activate my Gravity Lash!"
The spell appeared and her dragon roared (ATK: 2,200 - 2,400) and then it roared in pain (ATK: 2,400 - 700) and the small burst of flames shot out and the dog let out a loud growl and the growling wave smashed through the fiery attack and it shot out and smashed into the Dragon, blowing it to shards (Bailey LP: 2800 - 2300) and a nearby announcer nodded and replied, "Folks, that was quite a move to destroy her dragon and take out a decent monster as well.
"That was really a cool move. I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
Martha drew a card and resumed, "I activate Pot of Avarice."
She took a Sunlight Unicorn, two Hyenas, a Thunder Unicorn and a Hypnocorn and shuffled the cards into the deck and drew two cards and resumed, "I summon The Fabled Catsith."
She played the card and a small cat appeared a low meowing noise (ATK: 800).
"I tune it with one of my Dogs!"
The cat let out a hissing noise as it split into a single white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through a Assault Dog, which turned into 4 white stars (*1 *4 = *5).
"I already did the chant earlier, but I summon my Thunder Unicorn once more!"
The mighty steed covered in electricity appeared (ATK: 2,200) and Ashlee groaned and replied, "That thing again?"
"Damn right it is! I use her effect to weaken your monster."
A burst of electricity shot out and struck the dragon (ATK: 1,600 - 600).
"Take it out now."
The mighty dragon went in and slammed its horn into it and it blew it into little shards of light (Bailey LP: 2300 - 700).
"Your move now, girl."
Bailey drew a card and she smiled and resumed, "I activate my Call of the Haunted."
The trap appeared and a Wish Dragon appeared (ATK: 700) and she pointed at it and it vanished as two smaller dragons appeared with a roar (ATK: 0 x2).
"I tribute both of them for my Tyrant Dragon!"
They both vanished and the huge fiery dragon appeared with a mighty roar (ATK: 2,900) and she sighed and resumed, "You win this one. You really do have what it takes to be great."
"Thanks for that, Martha. Attack her monsters to end this duel."
The dragon roared as let out a stream of hot flames and they struck, burning Assault Dog to ashes and then it let out a second burst of flames and reduced the Unicorn to fiery cinders and another small burst of flames struck her down as well (Martha LP: 1700 - 0) and then the announcer smiled and replied, "Our Tennessee State Champion is Bailey Coleman!" the announced yelled out.
Everyone began to cheer as Martha walked up to her and she smiled and replied, "Good dueling, girl. You deserve this."
Ashlee smiled back as the shook hands and then replied, "It was honor. Call me up if you want a rematch."
Martha nodded as she walked away as the crowd continued to cheer for her.

Back at the office, they were all impressed.
He nodded and resumed, "A powerful Dragon deck That is a really clever deck and she'd be a great star in our tournament."
The taller guy resumed, "She'd be perfect, dad."
He nodded and then younger one resumed, "We have a duel finishing up in Dothan, Alabama right now, dad. I'll load it up for us."
Their father nodded and quickly did so.

At the final round of the Florida State Championship, a girl and a boy were dueling for the final match. The guy name (A muscular guy named Anton Rechanov who was born and raised in Moscow, Russia before moving to the US 5 years ago) was a tall duelist and he wore a blue shirt and black jeans and he had a Vorse Raider (ATK: 1,900) and a Dark Blade (ATK: 1,800), 1 facedown card and 2 cards in his hand. The girl (Her name was Madeleine but liked to be called Maddie for short) was a blue-shirted woman that wore a shirt that a large image of a Lion and Tiger facing each other and blue shorts with a belt in it as well as well as well as glasses for her outfit. She had no ink of her own own and she had a facedown monster and that was it.

Anton resumed, "Time for me to battle some more. Vorse Raider will attack facedown monster."
It rushed and a Flying Kamakari #1 appeared on the card (DEF: 900) and it slashed at with its axe, cutting it in two. The remains shattered to bits and she nodded and resumed, "I Special Summon my Harpie Lady 1."
She played the card and a harpie with green feathers and a magenta-colored bodysuit appeared (ATK: 1,300 - 1,600).
"Your move now, lady."
She drew a card and then resumed, "I summon my Hunter Owl."
She played the card and owl-like warrior with a crossbow for a weapon appeared (ATK: 1,000 - 2,300).
"I attack your Dark Blade."
It aimed its crossbow and a arrow shot out and struck down his Dark Blade and blew it to shards (Anton LP: 3300 - 2800).
"Your turn now, sir."
He drew a card and resumed, "I Switch to Vorse Raider to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that's all for me."
She drew a card and then resumed, "Owl attacks now."
It fired another bolt and it shot out and struck down his Vorse Raider and blew it to little bits.
"I attack with my Harpie Lady 1."
The harpie flew in and a Morphing Jar appeared (DEF: 600) and he slashed at and blew it to little pieces of rock and she looked at her last card and she smiled and quickly discarded it and he discarded his last card and both drew 5 cards and she resumed, "I'll set a card for later and that's all for me."
He drew a card and then resumed, "I activate Change of Heart on your Harpie."
The infamous Spell appeared and her monster was pulled to his side of the field and she groaned and replied, "I forgot that evil Spell was unbanned in the first place."
"I tribute your monster for my Choju of the Trillion Hands."
The bird lady vanished and a golden statue-like Fairy appeared (ATK: 1,600) and her monster let out a weakened chirp (ATK: 2,300 - 1,500) and then he resumed, "When Choju is Summoned, I can grab a Ritual Spell Card and a Ritual monster from my deck."
He grabbed 2 cards from his deck and resumed, "I now activate my Synthesis Spell Ritual Spell."
It appeared.
"I'll tribute my monster and summon my Lycanthrope."
The Fairy vanished into glowing particles appeared and a savage Werewolf appeared (ATK: 2,400).
"I attack your monster."
It let out a howl as it went and slashed at the Owl and it let out a loud chirping-like noise before it burst into fluttering feathers as its broken crossbow clattered to the ground (Maddie LP: 3800 - 2900) and he nodded and resumed, "Now you take damage for each Normal monster in my gveyard and I have 8 right now."
It howled as 8 fiery skulls shot out and slammed into her (Maddie LP: 3250 - 1650) and he resumed, "That ends turn for now."
She drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Monster Reborn to bring my Harpie's Pet Dragon that I discarded with your Jar."
She played the card and the beautiful bodyguard of the Harpie ladies appeared (ATK: 2,000) and she smiled and resumed,"I now activate my Hysteric Party."
She took a card called Swallow's Nest and discarded it as her Cyber Harpie Lady (ATK; 1,800), Harpie Queen (ATK: 1,900) and her Harpie Lady 1 (ATK: 1,300 - 1,600) appeared and then her Dragon let out a deep roar (ATK: 2,000 - 3,200) and then her Harpies glowed (ATK: 1,900 - 2,200 ) - (ATK: 1,800 - 2,100).
"My Harpie's Pet dragon attacks now."
The dragon roared as a burst of hot flames shot out and struck down his Lycanthrope and it let out a deep roar before burning to ashes and leaving a pile of hot ash & soot behind (Anton LP: 2800 - 2000) and he nodded nodded and then resumed, "Your a great duelist, lady. Go for the win."
"Thanks for a great duel. Attack him directly."
Cyber Harpie Lady swung her whip and it struck him down and then her Queen went and slashed at her with its talons (Anton LP: 2000 - 0) and the female announcer nearby nodded and replied, "Folks, we have a winner! Your Alabama State Champion is the one and only Maddie Erickson!"
The crowd cheered as she smiled to the people watching the duel.

Back at the office building, The CEO turned off the duel and he replied, "That Harpie deck is really powerful and that other guy's deck isn't too bad either."
Brighton then replied, "Two great duelists. This tournament will be a smashing success, dad. Don't you agree, Evan?"
His older brother only nodded and then the younger guy looked at his cellphone and replied, "This is our lucky day right now. There's a duel ending soon at Walt Disney World right now, dad."
"Look it up for us, son."
He nodded as he went back to his computer.

At the center of the massive theme park, the final round of the Florida State Championship Duel Tournament was going on. It was down to the final two duelists. The duelist on the left was a guy about in his early 30s wearing a white shirt and blue jean shorts and sneakers. He had a thin body as well and he had a Flamvell Grunika (ATK: 1,800) and a Blazing Inpachi ATK: 1,850) on and he had 3 cards in in his hand and 3,000 lifepoints left. His opponent was a blonde-haired woman wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans and she had glasses that covered her blue eyes and her neck and arms were covered in colorful flower tattoos and her knuckles had DEMON QUEEN tattooed across them and she was doing fine. She had a faceup demon-like monster know as Alice, Lady of Lament (DEF: 2,000) and a 1 card facedown and 3 cards of her own in her hand and 3,600 lifepoints of her own. His name was Sidney Matthews and his opponent was Kara Williams and was the end of his turn and he had a decent lead.

Sidney nodded and replied, "I'll get around your Alice soon enough, Kara. Your turn now."
Kara drew a card and resumed, "I tribute my Alice for my Summoned Skull."
She smiled and vanished in a cloud of black & green smoke as the one of most powerful one tribute Normal monsters appeared with a deep roar (ATK: 2,500) and she resumed, "I attack your dragon."
The wings glowed as a huge burst of electricity shot out and struck down her Dragon and blasted it into fragments (Sidney LP: 3500 - 2800).
"Your turn now, sir."
He drew a card and resumed, "I'll switch my Warwolf to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that's all for me."
She drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Stygian Street Patrol."
She played the card and a demon-like biker drove onto to the field (ATK: 1,600).
"Summoned Skull attacks first."
The wings of her giant FIend glowed as a burst of electricity shot out and struck down his Blazing Inpachi and it burst in a fiery cloud of ash & smoke.
"Optlciops is next."
The biker glowed as a burst of black flames shot out from its engine and a Morphing Jar appeared on the card (DEF: 600) before the flames struck and eroded the jar to dust and both discarded their final cards and drew 5 cards and then more flames struck him as well (Sidney LP: 2300 - 2100) and then she resumed, "That'll do for now."
He drew a card and resumed, "I'll activate Fire Recovery."
He discarded a card and a Neo Flamvell Shaman appeared (ATK: 1,700).
"I now summon my Guerilla Kite."
She played the card and a large demon-like kite with small spiked spheres attached to it (ATK: 1,600).
"I tune my monsters together."
The small Kite glowed as it split into 4 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through her Shaman, which turned into 3 white stars (*4 *3 = *7).
"I now Synchro Summon my Gaia Blaze, the Force of the Sun."
She played the card and the huge fiery Pyro-like Warrior appeared (ATK: 2,600).
"I attack your monsters and I can thanks to its effect."
It quickly charged in and rammed its fiery spear and stuck down his Street Patrol and blew him and his ride to pieces and then he went in and rammed his spear into the Skull and it moaned and exploded into dark sparkly sparks (Kara LP: 2600 - 1500).
"Next turn you are done for. I end my turn now."
She drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Dark World Dealings."
The Spell appeared and he drew a card and took a Flamvell Guard and discarded it and she drew a card and discarded a Kuriboh and she resumed, "Since a Fiend monster went from my hand to the graveyard and it's not a Damage Step, I can Special Summon my Diabolica the Draconique General from my graveyard and I did so with your Jar."
She played the card and a large female demon with the body of a demon-like dragon appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"I now summon my Archfiend Soldier."
She played the card and the demon soldier appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"I now banish my Stygian Street Patrol that's in my graveyard to summon my Gil Garth."
She banished the card and the metal Fiend appeared (ATK: 1,800) and she resumed, "I equip my Diabolica with my Black Pendant."
A beautiful necklace appeared around his neck (ATK: 2,300 - 2,800) and Sidney nodded and resumed, "You are a very talented duelist, my friend. Go for the win."
"It was a great duel. Diabolica attacks first."
It went and slammed his trident into his Synchro and it glowed dark red before it exploded in a fiery shower of ash & soot (Sidney LP: 2800 - 2600).
"Remaining monsters, end this."
They both rushed in and they swung their weapons and struck him down (Sidney LP: 2600 - 0) and the announcer nodded and resumed, "Your Florida State Champion is the one and only Kara Williams!"
Everyone cheered as she raised her hands in victory.

As Kara received her trophy on air, he closed out of the duel and the CEO nodded and replied, "What a ending that was."
Brighton nodded and replied, "What a duel that was indeed. That Fiend user has some amazing skills, dad."
His brother nodded and replied, "We need to invite her as well, dad."
"I know we do. Call up Duel Corp in Miami and see what they have to say about who's getting invited."
The older son nodded as he got up and left his father's office and then Brighton replied, "Can I be a part of this tournament too, dad? I want to show off how my new deck is."
His father nodded and replied, "Of course, son. If you do duel in it, you won't get any special treatment from my side or Duel Corp's side during the tournament as well. Also, you cannot tell anyone your my son at all."
"I'm fine with that, dad. I want to show you and the world how I duel."
"Good. Go order us some Chinese food for dinner and we'll talk more about it later."
He nodded as he got up and left his office as well and then the CEO got up and looked out of his huge office window as well and he smiled and replied, "This is going to be a fun tournament."
