AN1: This IS part of the Kairi Uzumaki story. This story takes place in yet another 'world' before Naruto goes to the Keyblade Graveyard in Kairi Uzumaki. I was intending to make this once Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 1 came out but I never got around to writing it. I just finished reading chapter 13 so anything afterwards will not be referenced in this story. Like ALL Kingdom Hearts Worlds there are ripples in the timeline of the franchises so certain parts of the history are changed (aka the 'Naruto world' that MY Naruto is 'similar' to canon but 'not exactly' the same.)
Aka I will be changing lore feel needed and certain characters will be saved in ways I know would not happen in the canon Boruto series.
For sake of timeline. This takes place after the events of "Uzumaki won't play the Game of Thrones" as that story implies, he is 'testing' his Rinnegan while this story appears he can fully use it without any issues. Plus, other abilities that he does have in the main Kairi Uzumaki story even if he hasn't used them. Remember just because you have a lot of tools in your tool box doesn't mean you have to use them all at all times. So, he can use these abilities in the main story too even if he hasn't shown them yet.
Chapter 1 Himawari wakes up
After a very harrowing situation The Hidden Leaf finally got a moment to rest as unknown to the village the sentient 'God Tree' Jura had decided to make a strategic retreat. Boruto was near death after being sniped by a high-power and high precision beam of chakra from Jura which narrowly avoided his vital areas. Jura implied it was not an intentional miss but rather he was surprised that Boruto vitals were not hit despite his long-range vision. Sarada Uchiha was holding her arm which had been sniped by Jura after she tried to pick up the 'Soul Thorn' that contained the chakra of her father Sasuke Uchiha.
Konohamaru Sarutobi was currently standing and looking at Boruto with a complicated expression. Unknown to him he was being affected by the Shinjutsu called ' Omnipotence' which caused him along with the world's perception to be warped to think Boruto Uzumaki was just an ungrateful outsider who killed his adopted father and mother Naruto and Hinata Uzumaki. Konohamaru was a top tier Jonin and former student of Naruto Uzumaki who he had been rather close with looking up to Naruto Uzumaki as his older brother figure in their youth.
'He did save Sarada but Boruto is still the brat who is a criminal in Konoha who tried to kill Kawaki and is the reason Lord 7th is gone…' Konohamaru thought resentfully as his hands were shaking from in anger and confusion.
Sumire Kakei was a young girl roughly 16 years old was cradling Boruto Uzumaki in her arms as he had fallen unconscious from his wounds letting him rest on her lap. AN2: Sumire had a not-so-secret crush on Boruto or rather Boruto Uzumaki. Omnipotence had affected the collective memories so Boruto was no longer seen as the biological son of Naruto and Hinata Uzumaki. However, Sumire and Sarada wee unaffected retaining their original memories despite the collective no longer believing their claims.
Konohamaru then walked up to Sarada as he squatted down to check on her arm.
"It looks like the shot missed any of your bones directly however nerves are pretty bad… You still need to get your arm checked out." Konohamaru noted as he looked at his student with concern.
Sarada winced but then shook her head. Sarada Uchiha was the only child of Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno being about 15 years old and a Genin.
"This wound is nothing! Worry about Boruto! He needs help!" Sarada insisted as Konohamaru frowned and looked at Boruto who was being cradled by Sumire.
"…. Uh… Boruto…" Konohamaru mumbled as he was still conflicted about helping a known criminal who he personally harboured negative feelings towards for crimes he believed he did.
All the sudden Himawari Uzumaki woke up who was the second child and only daughter of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga. Himawari or more commonly affectionally called Hima had inherited her mother indigo hair and her father's blue eyes and whisker markings albeit only two instead of three.
"Ow… What happened?" Hima asked as the Nishi the sensory type Leaf Ninja assigned to her protection fussed over her even as she waved him off.
"Himawari! Are you okay?" Konohamaru asked the daughter of his mentor with clear concern.'
"Konohamaru-Sama… I am alright. My wounds have healed." Hima assured him before she noticed Sarada's bleeding arm with wide eyes.
'Those wounds. They seem to be non-lethal. I should able to heal them with Kurama's chakra.' Himawari noted with serious eyes.
Unseen by everyone else there was a man high in the sky wearing a brown cloak that hid all his facial features and black pants with ninja sandals.
"I think this might be the first time I have actually seen the sensory barrier surrounding Konoha. It's rather intricate and refined. I suppose it makes sense as this 'Konoha' is a few years more advanced than the one I came from after all." The man noted as he blinked and revealed two different eyes.
The man's right eye was red with a black pinwheel with three stretched triangles evenly spaced around the pupil that each curve at the top around the eye to form a circle. It was a ' Mangekyō Sharingan' with the shape of the right eye of Obito Uchiha.
Meanwhile the man left eye was purple with 6 rings going throughout the eye with the rings getting smaller the closer to the pupil there were. The three inner rings also had three tomoe each totalling 9 tomoe. AN3: This was Naruto's unique Rinnegan which was the one that was 'seeing' the invisible chakra sensory barrier surrounding Konoha.
"I love Tou-chan and Old Man Second seemed like a cool albeit uptight guy and I love using Flying Rajin. However, I will say Obito's Kamui Right Eye's ability to move to any place without having to use a marker sure is useful and cool to use. Not as fast as Flying Rajin but being to use it freely like this sure is nice." Naruto muttered to himself as his right Mangekyō Sharingan appeared to spin to prove his point.
Naruto focused as he saw the various injuries as he crossed his arms.
"It seems Boruto took some serious damage from Jura's beam attacks and is about to collapse. He got shot in the chest but it appears by sheer luck or perhaps destiny itself it missed his vital points." Naruto noted as he looked down with sadness and sympathy on his face.
"Hima has just woken up due to Kurama's well new Kurama's chakra being replenished enough to heal her wounds. She isn't my kid but I can't help but worry about her sigh." Naruto sighed but had a look of fatherly pride mixed with amusement as he let out a small laugh.
"Sarada is mostly okay except for her right arm which got shot through. It seems it went through her arm but didn't sever it or anything so it will be an easy fix as well." Naruto commented as he couldn't help but smirk at the daughter of his best friend from another world.
"Kawaki's injuries are already fully healed and he had annoying smirk on his face huh? I guess his priorities of killing Boruto hasn't changed despite the danger of the God Tree 'children'." Naruto mused as he frowned down at his alternate self adopted son.
"Konohamaru…. I wonder if he will freak out if he sees me? Will he recognize me now? He is technically older than I am at least physically so this might blow his mind." Naruto asked himself as a proud smile appeared on his face at the thought of his apprentice being a Jonin in this world.
"Sumire…. So cute! I mean she isn't my kid or anything but she is so cute! I wonder if has a fan club or anything? She probably doesn't realize how pretty she is or how lucky anyone who dates her will be!" Naruto babbled on cheerfully before catching himself with a cough when he realized he was going to start an endless ramble. AN4:
Naruto ducked without looking when Delta sent a kick at his back while they were both flying.
"Consider that your only warning!" Delta claimed as she recovered from sailing past from Naruto who still had his hood up.
"Isn't a warning suppose to come before you attack? Or has Konoha changed its rules?" Naruto retorted with a raised eyebrow not that Delta could see. However, this question and tone seemed to only make Delta even madder.
"Hey you! I don't who you are but If you a threat to Ada or Kawaki I will kick your head clean off!" Delta warned with an angry expression as she put her hands on her hips.
"Ah yes… Delta the cyborg who has been enchanted by Ada and only cares about Kawaki due to Ada asking you to protect him." Naruto commented as he weaved away from several of her kicks with ease keeping his hood down.
"Stop dodging and take it like a man you pest!" Delta yelled as she spun around to charge up a stronger kick.
Delta sent out a kick from her right leg with full power at Naruto who just stood there and didn't bother to dodge this time. Delta smirked as she thought she had the mysterious man on the rope thinking that there no way he could take the kick at point blank range. To her shock Naruto placed the back of hi left hand out and stopped the kick instantly.
There was a massive shockwave of air that curved around Naruto and boomed behind Naruto but Naruto was unphased as he caught her kick with the back of his hand.
"What?! That's impossible! What are you?" Delta demanded loudly but with a hint of fear on her face.
"Is that all you have? You aren't the same level as Kawaki let alone Boruto so you are not on my level." Naruto stated stoically keeping his face down. AN5:
Delta yelled out as she sent out her left leg for another full power kick which Naruto blocked with an open palm before Delta had a sinister smile.
"Take this and vanish!" Delta yelled as her eyes glowed pink and chakra infused into her eyes. In moments they throbbed a few times as pink chakra gathered.
Naruto merely raised an eye as pink eye beams of chakra shot out of her eyes and flew at Naruto. Naruto merely released Delta's legs and put his right palm out. Delta let out a yell of triumph as there was a massive explosion from her beams hitting their target and there was a smokescreen as she stretched her legs.
'Whoever that guy was hitting hm felt like hitting metal warm. I have no idea what he was made of…' Delta thought as she winced slightly from how sore her legs were from hitting his arms.
However, she did not let any of her exhaustion show as she laughed with her arm closed.
"Take that you asshole! My Destruction Beams negate any sort of regeneration so not even that damn Hokage could heal from the damage! There is nothing left to bury except a pile of ash!" Delta bragged before she opened her eyes and narrowed when she felt a breeze of wind hit her from the smoke.
"Impossible! I know my aim was perfect! There is no way you could have survived!" Delta claimed as she put her arms in front of her in a guard.
"Hokage huh? I am guessing you mean Naruto Uzumaki? The 7th Hokage? I can only assume you don't mean the 8th Hokage as he not really a front-line fighter anyway." Naruto taunted as he waved his left hand making the smoke cover get pushed aside. This revealed Naruto with his right palm out and him completely unhurt from the Destruction Beams.
"That is not possible! Even if you used your arm to absorb the hit that arm should be gone! There is no way you are unharmed! You must somehow dodged! Well dodge this!" Delta claimed in denial as she charged up her beams up.
This time she sent her Destruction Beams as continuous beams as Naruto just hovered in the same place with his palm out.
"Fine. I shall how you this time what happened." Naruto sighed as his left Rinnegan appeared to spin its tomoe not that Delta could see.
To Delta shock her pink Destruction Beams seemed to be absorbed into Naruto's hand almost like they were water being drained away. Delta eyes were wide as Naruto was able to absorb her chakra completely without any issues as soon the beams lessened until she stopped panting lightly from the chakra drain.
"Pant… Pant… What is that power?!" Delta demanded panting and glaring.
Naruto didn't say a word before he seemed to vanish in a burst of speed that Delta could not react to as he put a single fist into Delta gut.
"Cough?! Blgh!" Delta cried out as she collapsed around Naruto's fist with his fist stuck into her stomach and her body lying onto his arm.
"You might know this as its not popular in the History books at how powerless the previous Kage were against Madara Uchiha. However, Madara absorbed Old Man Onuki's Dust Style: Atomic Dismanting Jutsu a jutsu that turns anything including chakra into literal dust with a single palm. Madara was a reanimated corpse so he wasn't even at full power unlike me who is most certainly not a corpse. I simply used the same ability to absorb your Jutsu. It might be produced from a Ninja tool from your enhanced eyes but its chakra so I could absorb it." Naruto lectured before he noticed Delta had passed out from the punch.
Naruto shifted her so she was lying against his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
"Even without the Rinnegan I could have simply had it phase through me using Kamui but hey If I can have practice using these abilities I might as well take it." Naruto mused as he stared at his right hand which had absorbed the chakra.
Naruto head tilted up as he smirked as he put his right hand on his hip.
"Ah… I see… Delta's little tantrum has alerted the sensory Corp about me. Might as make my official appearance inside the village." Naruto noted as he glanced down at the village in the distance.
Back with Kawaki and others
Before Himawari was going to heal Sarada's arm using her newly discovered ability to heal being the KIyubi Jinchuriki everyone in the small group looked up.
" Attention Kawaki and Konohamaru-san! Delta's chakra was just active and spiked a minute ago!" Someone from the sensory Corp told them inside of their minds.
"Delta…" Kawaki mumbled as he looked unconcerned but frowned.
"Her chakra spiked? Does that mean she is fighting someone outside of the village?" Konohamaru asked seriously.
" It appears so but their fight was rather short. Delta's chakra has plummeted which means she was likely knocked out! Her opponent chakra only appeared for a short moment but whoever they are they are very strong! Their chakra is off the charts!" The Sensory ninja replied urgently making the entire group on ease.
"Delta-san was knocked out instantly? Who could have done that? Her combat prowess is one of the highest in Konoha and for her to be knocked out means they are very strong." Sumire noted with a uncomfortable expression.
"Oy! Where are their chakra's? You can still find them right even if Delta is knocked out right?" Kawaki asked rudely ignoring the annoyed expression Sarada was giving him despite cradling her arm in pain.
'Kawaki should just shut up! If he didn't blame everything on Boruto he would be locked up and not giving out orders like he belongs here!' Sarada thought resentfully as she could feel hatred trickling at the back of her head which she kept in check.
" You see the thing is… Their chakra just vanished just now! Completely gone! We cannot sense them at all!" The sensory ninja warned as the entire group was on edge.
"To hide from the sensory Cor like that must mean they have the ability to completely extinguish their chakra like the Ōtsutsuki clan like Boruto for example." Konohamaru noted looking down at the unconscious Boruto with a frown.
"Or Kawaki too." Sarada retorted getting a nasty glare from Kawaki and a sigh from Konohamaru.
"Sarada… Whatever issues you have with Kawaki can wait. This is urgent issue." Konohamaru lectured as Sarada bit her lip from retorting.
'You should take your own advice when it comes to Boruto! Sensei!' Sarada thought angrily.
"Or they can use Space-Time Jutsu to appear out of nowhere?" Naruto suggested with his voice appearing a few feet away from the group.
Everyone eyes widened when there was a ripple in the air and Naruto appeared in a swirl that gradually grew larger until he appeared in the flesh with his cloak on and Delta in his arms. AN6:
Naruto set Delta gently against a wall who looked relatively unhurt besides being knocked out.
Kawaki left eye transformed into Kokugan(Black eye) form as the iris turned golden with 8 spokes coming out from a circle of gold in the middle that was his pupil. From the pupil the spokes came out forming a wheel like format around his eye.
Kawaki left eye pulsated as he focused on the stranger's chest.
' Sukunahikona' Kawaki thought as he sent chakra through his eye.
Faster the most could respond he sent chakra rods in microscopic size flying at the stranger. He enlarged them when they neared the stranger intending to send the rods into the stranger body and return them to normal size inside of their body. This would cause critical damage as the rods would expend to the size of swords while inside the person's flesh. This was his intention to subdue the enemy efficiently and quickly.
This happened quicker then most people could react but to Kawaki and everyone shock, Naruto effortlessly step to the right as the chakra rods zoomed past him and enlarged back to normal size onto the ground behind Naruto.
"So fast… I couldn't even see Kawaki-kun's rods until they hit the ground in normal sword size but whoever this person is dodged them while they were in their tiny size." Sumire noted with awe.
"Dammit! Another guy who could avoid them!" Kawaki hissed in anger at the technique he inherited from Isshiki Ōtsutsuki failing again. First it failed against Sasuke's God Tree clone Hidari and the leader of the God Trees Jura. Then it failed again against Boruto who he grudgingly admitted had surpassed him in strength over the three years.
"Ah so this is the chakra rods shrunk using Sukunahikona' and returned to normal size using the same technique. They are stored in the Daikokuten alternate dimension till they are needed, correct? It is certainly an impressive jutsu and for many a death sentence as most people cannot see the rods and feel them until they are already inside of you ready to be essentially detonated when they return to normal size and tear flesh apart." Naruto noted with a slightly impressed tone as he bowed slightly.
"How do you know about that?!" Kawaki demanded as his left eye was still in its Kokugan (Black eye) state.
'This isn't public knowledge! Especially Daikokuten! There is no way he could know I stored them in Daikokuten!' Kawaki thought in panic as he imagined Naruto and Hinata just hovering there unmoving in a place where time itself did not pass.
"Kawaki! Stand back!" Konohamaru warned as Kawaki leapt away as Konohamaru formed hand signs.
" Fire Style: Majestic Flame Jutsu!" Konohamaru shouted as he shot out a massive number of flames in the form of a stream of reddish orange fire towards Naruto.
Himawari, Sumire and Sarada had to cover their eyes with one hand due to the intensity of flames.
Naruto showed no fear as he formed signs quickly as well.
" Water Style: Water Wall Jutsu!" Naruto replied as he formed a shield of water from the air itself that formed around Naruto from all directions.
The fire hit the water and evaporated instantly making a huge steam cover.
"Dammit! This guy can use Space-Time Jutsu, can move fast enough to dodge Kawaki attacks and even use Water Style powerful enough so my Fire Style cannot get past!" Konohamaru noted in shock as he looked into the steam.
Unseen by the others Naruto used the steam as a cover as his right Mangekyō Sharingan tomoe spun as he used Kamui to 'slip into' the ground bit by bit until he vanished altogether.
'Say what you want about Obito but travelling like this is definitely travelling in style.' Naruto noted with amusement.
The steam soon vanished as Kawaki turned his arm into something resembling a broadsword due to the body modifications done to him and waved it. He growled in anger when he saw the mysterious man completely gone.
"Where did you go? Come out coward!" Kawaki demanded angrily as he waved his bladed arm out.
"Kawaki! Calm Down! Whoever this person is clearly very dangerous! We need to take this time to plan out instead of waving your arms in anger." Konohamaru chided which Kawaki mostly ignored.
Sarada clenched her fist even as she used it to brace against her broken arm.
'If Konohamaru-Sensei was not under the effects of that making him think he is Kawaki older brother instead of Boruto then he would not be giving him so much leeway.' Sarada thought sourly.
"Sarada-chan! Watch out!" Sumire yelled getting Sarada to snap to attention.
Naruto appeared out of the ground quickly from the head up like some sort of ghost rising out of the solid ground like it was water. Everyone turned to Sarada whose eyes were wide.
"Now then. Time to heal you up Sarada-chan." Naruto stated warmly but Sarada was still afraid due to not knowing who it was.
Naruto grabbed Sarada broken hand gently but she still winced in pain.
"Sarada-chan! Leave her alone!" Sumire yelled out in concern for her friend.
Sarada eyes widened when golden chakra was released from the mysterious man's right hand and was inserted into her broken arm. He released her arm a moment later and using that same hand he batted away more of Kawaki's shrunken chakra rods despite him not even looking in Kawaki's direction.
"Dammit! He can even parry them without looking! What a troublesome asshole!" Kawaki stated angrily as his left eye's Kokugan had pulsated to send a dozen shrunken chakra rods which had expanded after being batted away by the stranger's hand.
Naruto took a leap away when Konohamaru sent a barrage of kunai at his feet.
"Sarada-chan are you alright?" Sumire asked as her and Himawari ran up to her and squatted next to her sitting form.
"….." Sarada didn't say a word as she just stared at her arm with a shocked expression.
"Sarada-chan?" Himawari asked with concern as she prepared to heal her like she intended to in the first place.
"Sorry… Actually, my arm is fully healed. Whatever that man did fully healed my arm in an instant. Matter of fact it feels like I am well rested." Sarada noted as she stood up and moved her arm several times without wincing to show it was healed.
'Just who is that man? He doesn't take off his hoopd but for some reason my vey soul is telling me he isn't an enemy?' Sarada thought in wonderment.
Naruto jumped until he was close to Himawari who looked shocked. The last thing Himawari saw was blue eyes looking into her own. Before anyone could react, Naruto snapped his right middle finger and thumb together.
Time itself seemed to stop as everything stopped moving even the small amount of dust in the air just froze as Naruto looked down at Himawari who eyes were partly rolled up the back of her head as if she was falling asleep.
"Thanks X-blade for stopping time for me. This will help me get a private conversation with Hima without interference." Naruto noted as he felt a warm beat in his heart showing appreciation for his words.
"…. The entire world including the other dimensions located inside this 'world' has been frozen. Take your time although as soon as your talk is done time will resume." The X-blade feminine voice warned Naruto who nodded in appreciation.
Naruto stared into Hima's half lidden eyes and smiled as he felt his and her consciousness merge together as light appeared in his eyes.
Inside their shared Mindscape
Himawari blinked as she was a bright room that looked like a blue sky all around them. The dog sized Kurama was standing behind her looking just as confused as she was.
"Kurama? Did you bring me here? All I remember is that man in the hood looking at me and then I woke up here." Himawari asked looking down at Kurama with a curious expression.
" No I did not bring you here. I do not know where we are but this does feel familiar for some reason." Kurama admitted as he bit his lip in concentration.
They both turned around when they heard a chuckle. Kurama growled as his tails stood up as he got intro a protective stance as he leapt in front of Himawari.
"I brought you both into this shared space so we could talk without any interruptions or fear." Naruto explained but his hood was still over his face so only his voice could be identified.
" Himawari. Stand back. This guy feels dangerous." Kurama commanded as he gave the hooded Naruto a wary look.
"You sure are protective huh Kurama?" Naruto asked as he lifted his head and his hood fell down to his shoulders.
" It can't be… You cannot be here!" Kurama hissed as Himawari eyes widened as well.
"Papa? You're the one who helped out? No, you are not Papa! Papa is much older than you!" Himawari asked before she shook her head.
'But he looks like Papa! He has the same spikey blonde hair as Papap and those blue eyes I would recognize from anywhere! He looks just like Boruto as well!' Himawari thought not realizing she was comparing Boruto to her father as Omnipotence was still continuing to alter her perception so Kawaki was always her older brother and facts like differences in appearance would not register in her mind anymore.
"Sigh… About that… I guess you could say I am not your father but I am Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto acknowledged as he placed a hand under his chin and used his other hand to rub his forehead as if he was trying to massage a headache.
The smaller Kurama hissed as he let out a threatening growl showing his small but sharp teeth.
" You dishonour everything He stood for by wearing his face especially to his daughter and me!" Kurama let out a shout of anger.
Himawari confused look vanished as she took a stance as one fist was in front of her and the other was behind her as she leaned forward with her front while putting one leg behind her.
Naruto rather then being mad merely looked amused as he looked at something behind them and put his hands on his hips.
"Calm down…. Kurama… They don't mean any harm. I haven't properly explained it so its on me." Naruto chided playfully as both smaller Kurama and Himawari fell to their knees as they felt a killer intent like nothing before.
"Uh! This feels so intense. Like there is a building trying to crush me." Hima mumbled as Kurama growled before he looked behind Himawari with wide eyes.
The aura vanished allowing Himawari and smaller Kurama to stand up as they turned around to see a MASSIVE darker orange Kitsune Fox with 9 tails. He essentially looked the same as the Kurama that was standing next to Himawari but at much more massive scale.
"So big… We feel so tiny compared to him. Together Kurama and I are not even the size of one of his eyes." Hima noted with wide eyes as the Smaller Kurama frowned and crossed his small arms.
" He certainly feels like me when I was complete and I can sense trace amounts of something around him. That is likely chakra inherited from Naruto due to being Jinchuriki and Tailed Beast. That is good enough for me." Smaller Kurama noted as he gave a nod and the massive Kurama gave a toothy grin.
Hima looked rapidly at smaller Kurama then Big Kurama and finally Naruto who was smiling down at her. Her expression gradually became more hopeful as she looked at each person till she looked almost pleadingly at Naruto.
"Are you really…. Someone like Papa?" Himawari asked as she placed her hands together in prayer and looked away as if she could not accept false hope.
Naruto smiled as he gently placed a hand on Himawari's soft long hair and rubbed it affectionately getting Hima to turn to him with a slight blush as a familiar feeling went into her stomach.
'He feels so much like Papa…' Hima thought as she looed into the familiar blue eyes and whisker marks.
"I am not your father but I am Naruto Uzumaki. We have all the time to talk so let me tell you a story. The story of Naruto Uzumaki the saviour of all the worlds out there and the inheritor of the X-blade." Naruto stated as he let out his hand leave Hima's blue hair making her let out a pout and whine.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to do that!" Hima claimed although her blush showed she was enjoying the small amount of affection she was getting.
Naruto laughed as he brought his right hand back to Himawari's long hair and ruffled it again making her let out a sigh of contentment.
" X-blade? What is that term? It does not seem to be something related to chakra or even those jerk Ten Tail clones." The smaller Kurama noted with a raised eyebrow.
" Calm down. You should know by now if Naruto says he will explain something he will do it." The bigger Kurama yawned as he gently picked up his smaller counterpart and placed him back into Hima's arms even as she was getting her hair ruffled by Naruto."
"Alright the story starts with the X-blade which was essentially the beginning of everything of all worlds seeing a vision about a saviour. A vision that the Sage of Six Paths Hagomoro Ōtsutsuki also learned about. A prophecy of a saviour being born as 'a boy who frolics with Tailed Beasts who would save the world.'." Naruto started as Hima looked interested while both Kurama nodded their heads.
"The difference is in this world it only referred to Naruto Uzumaki saving this world from threats like Madara Uchiha and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki however in my world it referred to me rising above my world and being the one to save many many others as well." Naruto noted with a notably sad smile which Kurama and Hima noted with narrowed eyes.
"My history bares remarkable similar oath as your father pretty much to the end of the 4th Ninja War where I learned about my destiny and a truth that was hidden from me by the X-blade itself." Naruto commented as Kurama and Hima were fully invested in this story.
One series of explanation later…
" So, you never had to deal with Isshiki at all in your world?" Smaller Kurama asked in disbelief as both Naruto and his Kurama nodded.
"That's right. It's one for the ripples that makes my world so unique even among the many versions of events similar to what happened in this world. In my history Kaguya triumphed over Isshiki before they ate the chakra fruit and she actually wiped him out completely to the point he failed to get a vessel or Kama to extend his life. However, this had a side effect of making Kaguya much stronger as result as she triumphed over a threat that was meant to be stronger than her." Naruto explained as his Kurama let out of breath of annoyance. AN7:
" From what we have seen of various versions of him including the Isshiki that died in this world… Kaguya was certainly someone else but she was still a thousand times better in the long run then Isshiki. That 'man' was really the worst of the worst." Naruto's Kurama growled looking disgusted when he said Isshiki and annoyed when he talked about Kaguya.
"Man, Isshiki sounds like a real piece of work! He is still causing problems for this world after his death huh?" Naruto noted as he sat down with his counterpart daughter and both versions of Kurama behind them.
In a rather amusing pose Himawari's much smaller version of Kurama was sitting on the head of Naruto's vastly larger Kurama who looked amused.
"Papa…. I mean… Naruto-san…." Himawari started awkwardly as she looked startled at how comfortable to be around a younger and alternate version of her father despite having just met him.
Naruto smiled kindly at her and put a hand out gesturing to the spot next to him. After a moment of hesitation Himawari nodded and sat next to Naruto who laced a hand on top of her head. Himawari flinched before relaxing when Himawari leaned into his touch.
"Hima-chan can I tell you something?" Naruto asked with kind eyes as Hima looked up at him innocently.
"Yes? Uh…. Naruto." Hima asked deciding to just call him by his first name.
"I am kinda jealous. Despite what has happened to your father, he did get his goal of becoming Hokage and having a family with two wonderful children. I can admit I am jealous he had such a pretty wonderful daughter like yourself. It's still hard to believe a version of me has a part of himself walking around Dattebayo!" Naruto rambled on proudly as the Kurama let out a laugh.
"That's embarrassing ya know? I mean you aren't even as old as Konohamaru-Nii-chan or at least look that old! Calling me pretty is super embarrassing and weird!" Himawari whined with a notable blush on her double whiskered cheek as she fanned her red face looking away from Naruto's teasing smile.
"However, what I am most impressed about with you isn't the fact you are a Jinchuriki like none other or that you have version of mine and Hinata's blood inside of you. Do you want to know what impresses me most about you?" Naruto asked as his gaze turned gently and longing.
"Hmm? What does impress you about me?" Himawari asked as her blush faded and she looked genuinely curious.
"…. It's your kindness. Despite what has happened to you and your family you still retain a smile and don't hate the world. That is something that a lot of people would not have. It's far easier to resent the world for taking away the things you have rather then being happy for the future to be better. That Kindness is your real strength Hima-chan." Naruto told firmly with pride shining in his blue eyes.
Himawari eyes widened as she patted her cheeks and looked down at her hands.
"Papa…." Himawari couldn't help but mumble making Naruto's eyes widen when she saw the longing in the young girl's eyes.
"Hima…." Naruto mumbled as he put a hand out looking ready to touch Himawari's cheek but he held himself back and left his hand a foot away from his counterpart's daughter.
"….. Sigh…. You might be stronger than before Naruto but you are like humans at your core. Unable to show what is really in your heart because you fear another person's reaction." The Kurama inside of Naruto commented with a sigh as he waved his massive tails lazily.
"Kurama…" Naruto replied with a warning look as Hima looked down and had her hands clasped together.
" ….. He's right Himawari. If there is something you want to say or do you should just do it. Nobody here is going to judge you or anything." The reincarnated smaller Kurama told Hima with a gentle tone.
Naruto raised an eye at how much soft spoken this Kurama was and when Naruto turned to the Kurama inside of him with a questioning look. Kurama looked away and closed his eyes and frowned.
Himawari bit her lip and looked up at Naruto with a begging look. Naruto face grew soft as he put his arms out waiting for her.
"Papa!" Himawari cried out as she ran into Naruto's arms and cried her little heart out.
"Hima… I am here for you." Naruto told her warmly as he held the young girl and rubbed her backgently even as she buried her face into his stomach.
Both Kurama had a soft smile as they watched their respective Jinchuriki hug and give each other comfort. They both shared a look of understand as they knew that Naruto and Himawari were aware this was not the reunion, they needed but they still accepted each other's feelings in stride.
In this frozen moment of time, it could have been a few seconds or minutes or even hours passed as each Uzumaki just stood there and accepted each other warmth for however long they could.
"I miss you so much Papa! I know you aren't my real Papa but your hug reminds me so much of him!" Himawari cried out as her tears had dried up mostly but her loneliness and hurt was clear in her voice.
Naruto just closed his eyes as he used his right hand to wipe away Himawari's tears away and gently placed a hand on the top of her head as Himawari let out sigh as she continued to enjoy this brief comfort.
"I am jealous of the other me who has this wonderful daughter who loves him so much. One of my goals is to have a family and if my children is even half as wonderful as you are then I would consider myself lucky." Naruto told her sincerely as Himawari blushed but kept in the embrace.
After another unspecified amount of time Naruto pulled away but kept her at arms length using his hands to hold her shoulders. Both Uzumaki had huge smiles on their faces as they seemed much more at ease now.
Naruto then saw the outfit 'his' daughter was wearing and he frowned.
"Hmm… The pants are fine but that shirt is far too short for someone your age. I can see your stomach and that means everyone can." Naruto noted with a disapproving tone as he crossed his arms after he released Himawari's shoulders.
"Eep! Don't look! Baka Papa!" Himawari declared as she put her arms over her chest as she blushed with bright red cheeks.
Naruto's Kurama let out a hearty laugh while Himawari's Kurama looked like he wanted to sink into the ground with an annoyed expression.
"Proving my point Hima. You are a growing girl and I can understand that but you are still far too young to date let alone expose yourself like that." Naruto stated sternly as a fatherly tone leaked in without him noticing.
"Papa…." Hima whined sounding just like a young girl who was being told no by her father as she pouted.
"Sigh… I wonder where you got this dressing code from? I mean Hinata and your mother covered up pretty much everything when she was your age. Even when she was a few years younger she still wore fully covering clothes that covered almost every inch of hr skin besides her face." Naruto commented as he lazily waved his hand as an imagine of Hinata at age 15 appeared in their mindscape.
Himawari eyes widened as she saw an imagine of her mother as a young woman years before she was born. Hinata had the same dark blue hair as she had and similar length flowing down to her back. Hinata hair was a Hime style cut in the front showing a portion of her forehead and not obscuring her eyes. Unlike Hima bleu eyes, Hinata had the lavender eyes that Hima had saw from her mother's clan members. Hinata was a few inches taller showing her slightly older age. Hinata wore a lavender and cream hooded-jacket with cream-coloured sleeves. The jacket wasn't fully zipped showing her Leaf Headband wrapped around Hinata's neck over mesh armour. She wore blue pants that reached down to about 2 inches above her ankles. Hinata wore black low heeled ninja sandals that ended a few inches below her pants.
Hinata had a notable curvy figure as breasts could be seen bumping against her jacket and a trace of her slim waist could be seen from how form fitting her jacket was.
"Kaa-chan… She looks so beautiful and happy." Hima noted with wonder as the imagine of Hinata was giving a soft smile.
Naruto smiled and nodded as he gave Hinata a look of longing before he waved his hand making the imagine vanish. Hima gazed at the imagine for a few seconds with a look of longing before she sighed and looked back at Naruto.
"Your mother is one of a kind. I have seen your father's memories and I can safely say Hinata is the love of his life and you and your brother are entire world to him." Naruto assured her with a warm smile.
"Nii-chan too…" Himawari mumbled as she looked uncertain for a moment.
Himawari missed Naruto clenching his fist as an ugly look of anger appeared on his face for a moment.
'Kawaki… You baka… Turning the pure love Hima has for Boruto and turning it on its head.' Naruto hissed in anger before he reigned in his anger with a gentle smile.
Himawari's Kurama caught the look of anger as he gave Naruto a curious expression.
Himawari then bit her lip nervously making Naruto look at her worried before Hima looked up at him.
"Hmmm… Papa? Do you think Aunty Kairi would have liked me if saw me?" Himawari asked making Naruto look at her in surprise. He saw her playing with her hands nervously making him smile.
'Just like a younger Hinata huh although I can sense she is a lot like me too. Quite the perfect blend of us or rather them.' Naruto thought as an imagine of the 7th Hokage and his wife appeared in his eyes.
"Keep in mind I haven't actually met Kairi myself. This entire journey or ather series of journey is to make me worthy to be able to meet her at that moment in time. Dattebayo!" Naruto admitted making Himawari giggle at his usage of 'ya know' like her 'brother Kawaki' used to.
"However, judging by what I have seen of her and the way she is now. I am pretty sure she would adore you albeit she isn't that much older than you are either so she might be abit creeped out being an Aunt already." Naruto commented as Himawari had a wide smile as she blushed lightly.
"Aunty Kairi… I mean your sister Papa… I mean…" Himawari babbled as she realized she was having difficulties separating who was and wasn't her family making Naruto smile as he shook his head.
"It's alright. We might not be your real family but I know it would make us both happy if you consider us at least your friends." Naruto told her warmly as Himawari looked wide eyed before a few tears ran down her face.
"Hai… I understand Papa." Himawari hiccupped as Naruto just smiled and wiped away her tears. He then patted her cheeks getting a chuckle from Hima.
"Do you think she could visit here when you find her and save her from that fate she is going to face?" Hima asked nervously as Naruto sighed and put his hands back onto his chest.
"I can't promise anything. I honestly not sure what Kairi will do after the war is over. It is possible that she will just return to the friends she has made and go back to Destiny Island and live her life there. For her that might truly be her home. Not Radiant Gardens she barely remembers or Konoha a place she has never truly been to." Naruto admitted calmly although he could not help but have a look of sadness making Naruto's Kurama frown but stay quiet.
"That's not fair! You are risking everything for her including your own happiness and you are saying she might end up just leaving you aside and go home to a place she knew before she realized the truth?" Hima snapped making her Kurama smile slightly while Naruto eyes were wide with shock.
"Hima…. Whatever choices are, are her choices. I won't make her come back to Konoha just because its where my home is." Naruto stated firmly but Hima shook her head.
"If that truly how you feel then why do you look so sad? Don't you get lonely just having you and Kurama on all these worlds you will have to go to just so you can have the chance to save Kairi?" Himawari asked passionately as she gazed up at Naruto's blue eyes with her own.
"…" Naruto was silent unable to make a response as he looked genuinely shocked at Hima's words.
'….. I am the saviour and I gotten used to being perfect so everyone can depend on me… It such an easy reflex at this point…. However, with one look this child… A child of a alternate me has seen through all these walls and seen what is really in my heart… What a child… She truly is a kind child…' Naruto thought in realization and pride. AN8:
"….. Yeah, it does get just a little lonely and yeah, I can admit I am not so perfect it wouldn't break my heart if Kairi ended up choosing her new life and forgetting about the bond we should share as siblings." Naruto admitted as he looked down in shame and had a few tears running down his face.
Naruto eyes widened when he felt Hima's small body tackle him and give him a warmth and comfort he hadn't felt in what felt like ages. Hima closed her eyes as she buried her face into his chest.
"It's alright Papa! It's oaky you feel this way! If anything, I like you more for admitting things like this! It makes me feel like I got to know you in a more real way rather then being the saviour you are simply Naruto Uzumaki!" Himawari shouted out proudly.
"… Thank you Hima… You truly are a kind child and I am happy the other me has a such a sweet and pure daughter." Naruto stated honestly as he wrapped his own arms around her shoulders as the Uzumaki just embraced letting their pain drain out of them.
Both Kurama both had similar looks of pride as they watched their Jinchuriki comfort each other for what could be several minutes or hours.
Hima kept holding Naruto before she looked at Naruto's right arm with a head tilt.
"Um Papa? Can I ask you something that is kinda weird?" Hima asked with a nervous smile as Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"Sure. I feel we trust each other at this point so ask away and I will do my best to answer honestly." Naruto assured her with a warm smile and nod.
"…. Why does your arm not have bandages on it? Every since I could remember Papa right arm from the elbow up has been wrapped in bandages and he never taken them off." Hima asked with her eyes bright with curiosity and innocence.
" I would like to know that too. I noticed it before but that arm does not have he chakra of Hashirama Senju in it. It feels like an arm that is naturally part of your body." Hima's Kurama noted looking curious as well.
Naruto resisted the urge to glomp the younger girl at her cuteness before exchanging a look at the bigger Kurama who rolled his eyes.
"Ah right… In this world Naruto Uzumaki lost his right arm due to his fight with Sasuke Uchiha at the Valley of the End which in return destroyed the left arm of Sasuke Uchiha. Both fighters lost their dominant arms. Naruto Uzumaki would later get a replacement arm created from the cells of Hashirama Senju that could function and process his chakra pretty much as effective as his own original right arm. While Sasuke Uchiha decided to not get a prosthetic and instead adapted using his weaker right arm as his only arm and readjusted his fighting style with one hand and one-handed hand signs." Naruto noted with a nod.
Hima looked sad for a moment at the description while smaller Kurama merely raised an eyebrow.
" Are you saying in your world that you did not lose your arm along with Sasuke's?" Kurama suggested but to his surprise Naruto shook his head.
"Nope. We did end up destroying each other's hands like in yours. Its just in mine I used Six Paths powers to restore our arms to their original state although I admit it took a vast amount of chakra even for someone like me." Naruto explained with a chuckle as he used his right hand to rub his cheek proving his point.
Hima turned to the smaller Kurama with a questioning look.
"If this Papa could do why did Papa not do it in our world?" Hima asked Kurama innocently.
"…. We never thought it would be possible to do something like that. Honestly it sounds absurd if you are not the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki but hey this proof it is possible." Kurama admitted as he looked down with a frown.
"Don't be sad Kurama! I still think Papa and you are awesome!" Hima assured the smaller looking Kurama who closed his eyes but had a small smile.
"Perhaps in your world Naruto's six paths chakra fused with his own and Kurama's chakra so it was no longer possible to activate it to the same degree during the 4th Ninja War?" Naruto suggested as Smaller Kurama looked interested at his theory. AN9:
"Of course, that is just speculation as despite what people think I don't have all the answers and can only make guesses." Naruto added hastily as Hima just giggled at his flustered expression.
"Alright Papa we will just accept your answer." Hima answered sweetly in between small giggles making Naruto smile.
"That reminds me. Six Paths power can restore missing pieces of people back to their original state and restore life forces of people who aren't dead. So, when I rescue Sasuke, I will restore his left eye back to its original state." Naruto noted as hi eyes softened when he said Sasuke's name.
" You can do that? I heard Sasuke's left eye was completely destroyed. Healing Ninjutsu would not able to heal that sort of damage." Smaller Kurama noted as Naruto nodded.
"I can restore his eye because it is part of Sasuke's being. I couldn't restore Kakashi-Sensei's Sharingan that was stolen by Madara because it was not originally his eye however I could restore Kakashi-Sensei original left eye because Sensei is alive." Naruto explained somewhat matter of fact as smaller Kurama nodded.
"Alright Papa. I feel Sarada will be happy with that. I know she misses him dearly despite him being treated as a criminal for helping Boruto-kun, he is still her father." Himawari noted brightly as Naruto briefly winced when she added the 'kun' to Boruto's name.
"Boruto… That's right. His right eye was slashed so I will need to restore it as well when I get the chance." Naruto noted with a sorrowful expression.
"Boruto-kun…. I don't mind you healing him or even restoring his eye but I feel a lot of people in Konoha will be mad if you do that. They still really do not like him and even keep calling him a traitor after 3 years of him leaving the village." Himawari noted as her expression seemed to be a mix of sadness and pity.
'Hima…. Her memories of Boruto are swapped out with Kawaki so she likely doesn't hate Boruto like the rest of the world but she doesn't love him like she should. To her Kawaki has always been her brother and Boruto is the boy that her parents adopted and that she grew to like as an adopted sibling.' Naruto noted as he resisted releasing killer intent at the injustice of it all. The bigger Kurama gave Naruto a look of pity as he seemed to be able to guess Naruto's thoughts. Hima's Kurama had narrowed his eyes as he watched how angry Naruto felt for a moment.
"Hima? Can I ask you something and its very important you answer me honestly." Naruto asked with a serious expression as he released the girl who sat next to him.
"Yes? What do you need to ask me Papa?" Hima asked eagerly.
"Sigh… I know Boruto is considered a nation wide…. No, a world-wide criminal who should be killed on site. Even after helping Konoha out more then likely will have his chakra sealed and interrogated after time has been unfrozen." Naruto started as he closed his eyes but could feel Hima's pained emotions clear as day.
Naruto's Kurama could feel just how impressed his reincarnated counterpart that the X-blade could freeze time for an entire world and even dimensions in the broader world.
"Boruto-kun…" Hima mumbled as Naruto opened his eyes to see Hima look down at her lap where she had placed her hands and nervously played with them.
"…. What do you think of Boruto? Not what Konoha or anyone else says about him but your feelings on him right now?" Naruto asked as his tone with gentle but also firm showing he wanted an honest answer.
Hima closed her eyes as she seemed to be thinking rather seriously about the question before she opened her eyes and had a small but pained smile.
"I still remember the day when I first met Boruto-kun. He seemed to be kinda rude especially when it came to Kawaki-Nii-chan but what I remember about him most was how lonely he seemed. He seemed like someone who never had anyone to call family or friends. He seemed like he kept everyone at 5 feet away to avoid getting disappointed. However, I also remember he sacrificed his own arm to save me and Papa from Delta-san chakra beams but still tried to play it off as something inconsequential." Hima started to explain as Smaller Kurama once again felt a burst of anger when she said 'Kawaki-Nii-chan'.
' Why does he keep getting so angry when she refers to Kawaki as her brother? He is not mad at her but rather the phrasing itself? I can even tell my other self is feeling indignant although I cannot understand how Naruto can love one child of his counterpart but be annoyed at another child.' Hima's Kurama thought as he briefly narrowed his eyes.
"Everyone says Papa and Mama were killed by Boruto-kun three years ago and tried to kill Kawaki-Nii-chan before hand. However, I still think Papa and Mama are alive and that Boruto-kun must have fallen down a dark path to want to hurt them or Nii-chan. So, if it all possible I want him to change to be the person I considered a friend if not a secondary older brother." Hima admitted as she smiled softly. AN10:
"I know there are people in Konoha who think I am being naïve and would be angry if I said these things to Hokage-sama or Konohamaru-Sensei who hold Boruto responsible who these crimes." Hima added as she looked down in shame.
Hima let out a sigh of relief when Naruto brought an arm around her shoulder and her close to give her comfort.
"Honestly, I feel you are very strong and kind. It is much easier to just go with the crowd and if someone is considered bad to just think of them as bad. If there is anyone who understands that sort of mentality it's a Jinchuriki like your father and I. We were hated and ignored by the vast majority of Konoha when we grew up as it was generally accepted that we were a threat and someone who should be feared. Even the children who didn't know why their parents or adults hated us just picked up on it and went with the adults' lead." Naruto told her as Hima looked down in sadness.
" He's right Hima… Both of Naruto's suffered due to this village but they chose to not let that hate consume them." Hima's Kurama noted with the bigger Kurama giving a single nod.
"Papa…" Hima whispered as she leaned into Naruto's warmth.
"….. I really didn't want to be the one to tell you this but you and Boruto deserve to know this." Naruto admitted after a minute of silence as he now looked rather pained but resolute in his resolve.
"Hmm? Is there something that involves me and Boruto-kun? I don't want him to get hurt or anything." Hima asked as saw how pained Naruto looked.
" Is there something we don't know about?" Hima's Kurama asked his full-size counterpart who clicked his teeth.
" Sigh… This all happened because of one idiot's selfish desire and ignoring what someone wants to keep them alive." Kurama growled making both Hima and her Kurama look at him in confusion.
"Papa?" Hima asked Naruto nervously who took a deep breath as he stared into her counterpart's daughter's eyes.
"There is a truth you must know even if it's painful as I know keeping the truth hidden doesn't make it go away." Naruto stated mournfully.
"Boruto is your real brother and not Kawaki. Boruto Uzumaki is the first-born son of the 7th Hokage Naruto Uzumaki and the Hyuga Princess Hinata Hyuga-Uzumaki." Naruto revealed firmly as he watched Hima's reactions with his eyes full of sympathy.
"Eh? What are you talking about? I know Boruto-kun is kinda cool and everything but to call Kawaki-Nii-chan not my real brother?" Hima gasped as she looked hurt which made Naruto look down.
"Hima… You are not remembering what truly happened and its not your fault. This entire world itself is kinda conned by a deception." Naruto tried to explain but he winced when Hima stood up and looked at him warily.
'Dammit even in this space since her mind was already affected by Ada's Omnipotence her heart is already starting to fight to keep the deception up.' Naruto thought in realization.
" I do not understand what you are implying? Are you saying not only Hima but the entire world is being affected by some sort of Genjutsu?" Hima's Kurama asked skeptically crossing his small arms.
" The fact that you are asking that means you are affected as well." Naruto's Kurama noted drily as Hima's Kurama scoffed.
" You are me. Even if you did not fracture yourself and be reborn and have some powers I do not. We are fundamentally the same Tailed Beast. If somehow was under a mind altering Genjutsu then you and Naruto would also be affected as well." Hima's Kurama retorted back sounding rather defensive.
Naruto's Kurama tapped his cheek impatiently as he looked at Naruto expectedly.
Naruto looked back at Hima who continued to look at him warily but uncertain.
"Hima…. Did you ever wonder why Sarada-chan and Sumire-chan are so against the orders about capturing or killing Boruto?" Naruto asked Hima with a sad smile.
Hima blinked and tilted her head as she tapped her cheek.
"Hmm I always thought Sarada-chan had a crush on Kawaki-Nii-chan but maybe she is moving onto Boruto-kun? I kinda liked the idea of Sarada-chan liking Nii-chan so we could be sisters!" Hima stated cheerfully not seeing her eyes being glazed over as Omnipotence was rewriting her memories to swap whatever Boruto did with Kawaki and by extension feelings directed at Boruto were now being directed to Kawaki as if they always were that way.
"Although I know Sumire-chan likes Kawaki-Nii-chan! He did save her from that whole Nue incident although I don't really know what happened but I can tell she really likes him! Its kinda weird she is so protective over Boruto-kun though." Hima continued with her eyes glazed over. AN11:
Naruto sighed as he rubbed his head in frustration.
"Hima… I am really sorry to say but you have it opposite. Sarada and Sumire both have feelings for Boruto due to his actions making them like him as more then a friend. They honestly probably hate Kawaki right now or at least want Kawaki to repent for his actions." Naruto tried to explain but Hima violently shook her head.
"That can't be! Kawaki-Nii-chan is the one who has always been for me! He tucked me in at night when Papa was too busy with work! He scolded Papa for missing my birthday! He risked his life along with Uncle Sasuke to save Papa from the Bad Aliens! Are you telling me that all those memories are fake?!" Hima yelled as she shouted looking afraid and confused.
"Hima…. You just can't understand right now what is happening to you and everyone else." Naruto admitted looking crestfallen when Hima put one hand over her left eye and cheek.
'This must be how Sumire and Sarada felt trying to explain things to people affected by Omnipotence. People who retain their original memories must seem crazy to people whose memories and perception affected by Omnipotence as to the people affected this is the way its always been.' Naruto thought sadly as he watched his counterpart's daughter pant heavily as her visible eye kept dashing around as if looking for something she wasn't finding.
" It seems people who are immune to that 'Jutsu' are the ones most affected as they are ones who know the truth while everyone else is living in a lie. " Naruto's Kurama mused as Naruto nodded numbly.
Hima's Kurama was about to retort but he perked up when Hima fell to her knees as she looked to be in pain with one hand covering her eye.
"This can't all be a lie… I love Kawaki-kun! He is the one who is always been there for me along with Mama! Without him I would have been so lonely! He has to be the one who is my brother…" Hima claimed as she let out a gasp of pain as her visible eye was tearing up.
" Himawari!" Hima's Kurama shouted as he leapt off of Kurama's head and landed in front of her protectively with his tails moving behind him at the ready.
Naruto looked down as he put his arm out almost like he was about to embrace the younger girl but he held back.
" Naruto… You know as well as I do even if you convince her of the truth, she will be rewritten soon enough by that unless you free her from 'its' influence. " Kurama pointed out with a frown.
"I know… This is why I came to this world after all. To set things right." Naruto stated in determination as his blue eyes shone brightly.
"Hima…. All you have to do is trust me and place you hand onto my hand. That is you have to do." Naruto pleaded as he squatted down and placed his hand forward beckoning Hima to grab it.
Hima's Kurama growled at Naruto but held himself back waiting for Himawari's command.
' Don't trust him! He is lying to you! Trust in Kawaki! He is the brother you want and love! He is to be trusted not this stranger who is questioning Kawaki!' A persuasive voice whispered into Hima's ear.
Hima continued to hold her face in pain as she looked at Naruto while looked so confused and hurt.
"How can I trust you? You might have Papa's face but you are a stranger still…." Hima asked but her eyes just showed how uncertain she was even as the voice inside of her head continued to get louder making her gasp in pain.
"I won't make you trust me Hima. I just want you make you own choice here and now. Who is truly in your heart? Who do you want to care about?" Naruto asked as he closed his eyes and waited for her answer.
"Kawa…." Hima instinctively stated before she paused much to the voice's anger.
'Is Kawaki really the one who has been there this entire time? What is truly in my heart?' Hima thought as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"Well you know… Despite how she looks, she can get pretty scary when she snaps… So you really shouldn't mess with-." 'Kawaki noted.
"Wait a sec. Daemon, Don't tell me… you think Hima's…" 'Kawaki said with his eyes widened in realization.
"….. Huh?" Daemon asked looked astounded at 'Kawaki'.
"Oh no, no no! No Way! Big Bro won't ever approve you hear?!" 'Kawaki shouted as he restrained Daemon with his arms holding him back by the armpits.
"What are you going on about?!" Daemon demanded as Hima held onto groceries looking utterly confused.
'Why am I thinking of this memory? I seen Kawaki every day since that day….' Hima thought before a pulse of pain went into her head and heart.
Suddenly Kawaki was replaced by Boruto?! Hima's eyes opened as she ignored the painful headache from the voice inside her head.
"Boruto! Papa, please give me the truth!" Hima asked with her eyes wide with fear as she had to clench down the feeling of Kawaki being the center of her world again.
Naruto could sense Omnipotence trying to take over Hima's mind as he could almost see an invisible imagine of an evil looking Ada with her eyes black behind Hima with her hands above Hima's head with strings attached almost like she was a puppet Master controlling Hima's mind.
"I can't waste this chance! Wake up Hima!" Naruto yelled as he dashed forward and placed his hands over Hima's outstretched ones.
Hima and Naruto's Kurama covered their eyes with their arms as there was a bright blue light that covered the entire mindscape as Hima just looked at Naruto with trusting eyes.
" NO!" A ghostly wail that sounded like a distorted Ada yelled as the imagine of her controlling Hima was vanished consumed by the light.
Hima saw Naruto smiling down at her with his eyes closed in an 'eye wink' despite the bright light.
"It's okay Hima. You will remember what is truly in your heart and not what Omnipotence has been telling you." Naruto told her soothingly as Hima smiled and closed her eyes bathing in the light.
'It's so warm and comforting. It's almost like getting a hug from Papa, Mama and… Boruto as well.' Hima thought as the imagine of Kawaki was replaced by a younger Boruto with both eyes and nothing but a smiling face.
'Welcome back Hima. Have you been good Dattebasa?' Boruto asked her cheerfully in her mind.
"Nii-chan…." Hima mumbled as a single tear ran down her face.
The light continued for about half of a minute before it dimmed showing Naruto holding a seemingly unconscious Hima in her arms. He smiled down at the girl who had her head on his shoulder.
" Seems the X-blade did its job. I am guessing you also remember what is really suppose to be reality?" Naruto Kurama asked looking down as his smaller counterpart.
" Yeah… It's almost like a fog that has been clouding my mind for the last three years has finally dissipated. I cannot believe I of all beings was affected and believed that brat Kawaki was Naruto's true son." Hima's Kurama admitted with a look of shame as he rubbed his eye sleepily with one paw.
" Tch…. Don't worry about it. Its only because of the X-blade influence that Naruto is not affected although I would be at least strong enough to realize I was under something influence. Not that an idiot like Naruto would believe me." Kurama claimed although Naruto sent him the middle finger in response. AN12:
'It seems that the 'me' inside Naruto is just as close as I was to the Naruto I knew when I was still sealed inside of him.' Hima's Kurama silently remarked with a slight smile.
Himawari woke up as she blinked several times and yawned.
"How are you feeling sleepy head?" Naruto asked gently as he rubbed her forehead to wipe away some sweat that gathered from her effort to resist Omnipotence.
"…. Like I just woke up from a dream and able to think clearly for the first time." Hima admitted as still was in Naruto's arms but her eyes showed guilt and shame.
Naruto wiped away her tears as she shifted to look up at Naruto with her eyes teary eyed.
"Hima… You can't blame yourself for what happened to Boruto. I know for certain he definitely doesn't blame you." Naruto told her kindly but Hima looked down as she shifted herself out of his arms but sad down next time.
"It doesn't matter if its my fault or not. I trusted those memories for three years and despite my best efforts I lost a lot of faith in Nii-chan. Everyone was saying how much a traitor he was and he needed to be put down if he ever came back. I never spoke out in defence of him despite not thinking 'Boruto' killed my parents or rather our parents." Hima admitted sadly as Naruto sighed but placed a hand on the top of her head.
" Himawari. It wouldn't have mattered. We know that Uchiha girl and purple haired girl have been trying to convince the 8th Hokage for years and it hasn't worked. Your voice alone even if you were being controlled would have only made people think you were crazy or delusion." Hima's Kurama noted gruffly as Hima gave him a sad smile.
"You mean Sarada-chan and Sumire-chan Kurama." Naruto and Hima spoke at the same time by instinct getting both Kurama to roll their eyes.
Naruto smiled widely at the shy smile Hima gave him even as faint blush appeared on her cheeks.
"It's all thanks to Papa I could remember what Boruto means to me. Kawaki is the one who started this mess and he blamed it on my dear older brother." Hima sighed giving Naruto a look of gratefulness but her eyes darkened when she said Kawaki's name.
Kurama smirked when Naruto shook his head.
"Actually, what really won out was your heart. Your heart won this battle for you. All I did was give it a push with the X-blade's power." Naruto admitted getting wide eyes from Hima.
"My heart won?" Hima asked looking completely surprised.
"Yes, your heart. All I had to do was make you think about Boruto and your heart started to grasp your sibling feelings for him by yourself. If you didn't truly love him from the bottom of your heart the X-Blade would have had a much more difficult time removing Omnipotence from you and it would have caused you pain." Naruto stated firmly as he looked both proud and happy.
"Of course, that is partly as I have never had to remove Omnipotence from anyone before. Next time I am sure I can remove it from the world nearly painlessly." Naruto added confidently as Hima looked up at him before giggling.
"Alright Papa. I believe in you." Hima replied getting a grin from Naruto.
Naruto and Hima just shared identical grins with their whiskered cheeks puffing out in the same way much to the amusement from the Kurama's.
"Hima. Time is stopped right now outside of our mindscape. Once we leave time will flow at the moment just after I brought you here. That means for Kawaki and the others no time has passed. They will still consider me an enemy and as far as they can tell I hurt you in someway." Naruto told Hima with a serious expression as Hima looked shocked before shaking her head passionately.
"You could never hurt me, Papa! I will explain everything to them so you don't need to worry!" Hima assured Naruto brightly but Naruto shook his head.
"Hima you can explain things or at least hint you know Boruto is innocent to Sarada and Sumire who are immune to Omnipotence or at least the version cast by Ada. However, do no announce to anyone else you are 'awake' especially Kawaki. I plan to let myself be captured by them to lead me back to the Hokage tower." Naruto told Hima sternly making her annoyed.
"But that would mean I would have to…" Hima replied looking sad.
"Yeah it would mean you would have to treat Kawaki like he is your protector and sibling while I am nobody but someone who came to Konoha after it suffered a massive attack. It's alright. We know the truth and I promise you that everyone will know soon enough. We just need Kawaki and Ada to be put together in the same place and time so we can reveal their crimes to the world." Naruto told Hima gently even as Hima bowed her head and sighed.
" You seem to much stronger then Kawaki so why don't you simply beat up that kid and show him his place? You are probably not affected by Ada's 'charm' either so you could probably beat her up too?" Hima's Kurama asked as eh notably looked annoyed at the mention of Kawaki.
" Isn't it obvious? If Naruto goes off beating up Kawaki or Ada while Omnipotence is active it will make Naruto seem like a villain. It's not worth it to get the world to see him as villain. Naruto needs them to think he is cornered so he can release the Omnipotence all at once." Kurama revealed as Hima and smaller Kurama shared a worried look.
Naruto saw how crestfallen Hima looked so he brought him into another hug which she happily snuggled into.
"It won't be for too much longer. I will bring everything to the light and then you and Boruto can be a family together along with your parents." Naruto assured the girl who smiled when she heard Boruto's name.
"Nii-chan…. Papa… Mama… We will be together again soon." Hima mumbled as Naruto smiled at her gently.
'This is how family is supposed to be like. I wonder if Kairi, Namine and Xion will look like this when I reunite with them?' Naruto thought sadly before he shook his head.
'It doesn't matter what they think of me. As long as they live and happy that is all that matters to me.' Naruto thought in determination.
Kurama sent Naruto a look of pity as if he could sense Naruto's feelings.
"Papa… You need to meet them too! I won't let them not know about the Papa who brought us together!" Hima then added with a look of determination.
"Huh? Meeting them too? I didn't really intend for that to happen… I was just trying to set things right and didn't really think of meeting my counterpart and his family…" Naruto admitted sheepishly looking genuinely baffled as he ruffled his spikey hair.
"You don't have a choice! You are meeting them and that is that!" Hima insisted after she giggled seeing his baffled expression.
Naruto and Kurama shared nearly identical exasperated looks while Hima and her Kurama shard smug expressions.
"Sigh… I suppose there is now winning against you huh? Fine I will make sure to greet them too after Omnipotence is released and I released your parents from Daikokuten dimension where Kawaki has had them stored up for the last three years." Naruto promised getting a cheer from Hima. Naruto exasperated expression faded when she saw how pleased and happy Hima looked.
Naruto and Hima shared one last hug when Naruto and Hima's Kurama shared a fist bump and nod of acknowledgement.
"Till we meet again soon dear Hima." Naruto told Hima as the entire mindscape turned into light and started to fade away.
"Thank you for everything Papa… I know you will find your family one day. I know it." Hima replied back brightly as Naruto eyes widened at her declaration.
AN2: Her age is never actually said in the manga or anime but she was in Boruto and Sarada graduating class. Nothing in the manga or anime suggests she is older than her age group due to being held back or anything so I am making her 13 during Boruto and 16 after the time skip.
AN3: It is pretty much the Rinne-Sharingan but with the Rinnegan colouring similar to the 6 tomoe Sasuke Left Rinnegan has. Naruto states this eye is a Rinnegan though and thus refers to it as a Rinnegan.
AN4: Before people yell my Naruto hasn't met anyone in his world (its alluded to be several years before Boruto) who looks like Sumire so he is gushing like an older brother figure to Sumire complimenting on her new look.
AN5: Its Naruto opinion and this is an AU story but I personally don't think Delta is supposed to be as strong as Kawaki post timeskip and Kawaki is greatly overpowered by Boruto hence Naruto's comment.
AN6: I will admit I am a huge fan of Kamui especially when it teleports so Naruto is kinda flexing using Kamui to appear in the middle of the village like that.
AN7: This was intended to be shown in the main Kairi Uzumaki story but since I am skipping and flowing freely in that story I decided to explain it here for context. The ripple effect so to speak. It is possible the X-blade itself decided to intervene in the past for this occurrence to happen. I have alluded the X-blade can see the future and possibly interfere in the past.
AN8: In a Good portion of the Kairi Uzumaki series Naruto is rather 'perfect' but around Hima he can be abit less perfect and more honest about what is truly in his heart. Its partly it's a daughter he could have, partly she is so innocent and partly he is abit tired of trying to be the crutch everyone can use without thinking.
AN9: This is just my head canon for while Naruto in the Boruto series aka post 4th Ninja war doesn't use Truth Seeking Orbs and Naruto says as much this is just speculation as it doesn't happen to him personally.
AN10: Remember this is an AU version of the Boruto verse so this is probably not exactly how canon Hima thinks but this is what this version of Hima thinks of her altered memories of 'Boruto the adopted son of the 7th Hokage'.
AN11: Yes, I know this is set in after Boruto Two Blue Vortex which is the manga (since the anime hasn't caught up yet) but she is referring to the first anime filler arc (which in the anime takes place before the first Boruto chapter). Sumire really doesn't have backstory in the manga so using the anime I think is more then fair to give her characterization. (and an actual reason why she would crush on Boruto besides the manga just making her like him despite not spending any time together in the manga).
AN12: Its possible Naruto Kurama is lying or flexing although about what is unclear.
