Peter and Gwen are sitting in his room a couple days after Norman and Harry ate lunch with them and aunt may
" I can't believe Norman is the green goblin." Gwen says, picking up on the nickname Peter had given the goblin as he sighs sadly
"Me neither, it wouldn't be bad of Norman didn't seem to be such a good guy who at least tried the first time I met him." Peter says as he rubs his wounds lightly as Gwen kisses his cheek wanting to bring her boyfriend out of the slump, before she gets an idea.
"What about Stark Industries?" Gwen asks and Peter looks at her
"What about it?" Peter asks confused as she rolls her eyes at him
"I mean we get jobs there, I mean we're both smart and Stark is always looking for potential young candidates." Gwen explains to Peter and he nods
"If you think it'd be a good job for the two of us, then sure." Peter says excitedly making Gwen smile
"Awesome, it'll be a great job if we can get on." Gwen says happily
"When do you wanna apply?" Peter asks her and she thinks about it
"Right now." Gwen tells him and he looks at her
"Right now? Like right now, right now?" He asks making sure and she rolls her eyes and kisses his cheek
"For as smart as you are, you can say some really stupid stuff." Gwen tells him teasingly
"But that's why you love me." He teases back and she smirks before it turns into a smile and a small blush
"Yea, I guess it is one of the reasons." She tells him as he kisses her before they get up and prepare to try and get a job
Cut to stark industries where one Tony Stark is smirking talking to some reporters
"As you know our new Stark Bomb 2A is our most powerful weapon yet, it is currently being mass produced to be sent over to Europe for the EU." Tony tells one reporter
"Why do you continue to build weapons?" One reporter asks and Tony scoffs and smirks
"Well for the great United States of course." He says and walks off
"Mr stark, there are a couple teens here looking for a job." A woman says over a com
"Give them an iq test and see what they bring like always." Tony simply says
"They're 15." The woman tells him and makes him stop and think
"Give them the test anyway, if they're super smart I'll hire them if they sign a bunch of waivers if not, it's whatever." Tony says simply
"Alright thank you Mr stark." The woman says and the line goes dead
"15 years old, they're crazy, hopefully they're smart I'm half tempted to meet them now, but I don't wanna waste my time if they're just screwing off." Tony mumbles to himself as it cuts back to Peter and Gwen turning their tests in.
"Thank you I'll let you know how you did soon." She tells the two with a smile "JARVIS, run these two tests."
"Right away ma'am." The AI known as JARVIS says over a speaker
"It seems they've both scored 180s, with Mr Parker scoring slightly higher in the science portion and Ms Stacy scoring slightly higher in the mathematics portion." JARVIS tells her making her shocked
"Mr Stark?" She asks for him on the coms
"Are they good?" He simply asks
"180 both of them, one sc-" she starts but Tony cuts her off
"Send them both up to my lab now." He says with a little bit of excitement in his voice
"Right away sir." She says as she goes over to Peter and Gwen
"So how'd we do?" Peter asks her nervously as Gwen holds his hand as she's nervous as well
"Mr Stark would like to speak with both of you personally in his lab." She tells the two shocking them "follow me to the elevator and JARVIS will do everything from there."
The two follow her as they get on the elevator and go up to Tony's lab.
"Mr Stark?" Gwen asks as he looks over to the two and grins
"Ah the two genius's, as you know I'm Tony Stark." He greets them cockily as he shakes his hand
"Peter Parker sir." Peter greets first
"Gwen Stacy." She tells him as he looks at the two
"I'm not sure how you two did it at so young, but besides me of course, you two are the smartest people in the building, so, how'd you both like to be my personal interns, Thursdays and Fridays till about 630, then Saturdays 9-3, starting at 12 an hour." Tony tells them and they look at each other and nod
"That sounds good to us Mr Stark." Peter tells him
"See you kids next Thursday." He tells them as they leave from the elevator "JARVIS, give those two access to my lab and wherever I am at the time on those days."
"Of course, sir." JARVIS tells him
"Thanks buddy." Tony says
Back with Peter and Gwen, they are walking by the street happily.
"So you ready for this Peter?" She asks him and he nods excitedly
"Yea of course, are you?" He asks her back
"Yea, I'm pretty excited, I'm ready to get started, learn more stuff." She tells him excited
"Yea, it'll be a good job part time for 12 hours a week." Peter says and Gwen looks to him
"So my dad is gonna be home tonight, so my parents were wondering if you'd like to eat dinner with us tonight?" Gwen asks him and he kisses her cheek
"Of course I'd like too." Peter tells her and she smiles at him
"Thank you Peter, I love you." She tells him as he holds her hand
"I love you too Gwen." He tells her as they walk peacefully through town
"You ready to meet my parents?" Gwen asks him teasingly
"Yea, I've met your dad before, wasn't under the circumstances I'd like though." Peter tells her sadly and Gwen smiles at him sadly bringing him into a hug
"You'll be ok Peter, I've got you no matter how high you jump." Gwen whispers into his ear and he chuckles
"Man I really need to take down Norman." He tells her and she squeezes his hand
"Maybe not tonight, but I know you will." She tells him as they walk into her parents house
"Ah this must be Peter." Gwen's mom greets the two
"Nice to meet you ma'am." Peter says politely as George Stacy comes into the room to greet Peter
"Mr Parker." Captain Stacy greets formally
"George." Mrs Stacy complains to the man
"Don't worry ma'am, it's nice to actually meet you, not when I'm not there all the way like last time captain stacy." Peter tells the man who's glance softened
"I like you kid, you guys want some pork loin?" He asks as the two nod at him
Peter and Gwen sit by each other with a couple pieces of pork loin and a baked potato in front of them as they casually eat, George looks to the boy
"Gwen tells me you both got part time jobs as an assistant to Mr Stark." George tells him casually
"Oh yea, we're both really excited, be a good first job." Peter tells the man
"It seems you both got good jobs, especially working together." George says
"Yea not many hours but good pay, and gives us time to do what we want." Gwen tells her dad who nods
"Well we're glad you got on, especially with someone you love." Mrs Stacy tells the two causing them to blush
"Thanks mom." Gwen tells her as they eat their food and continue their casual conversation
After dinner Peter and Gwen go to her room and they lay down in bed.
"I'm glad you're taking a break tonight, I know you'll start doing it more and more, but starting out, I'm glad you're not straining yourself right off the bat." Gwen tells him softly
"Me too honestly, good night Gwen, I love you." Peter tells her
"I love you too Peter." She says
