Peter wakes up and groans out in pain before getting up out of bed and getting dressed and eating a piece of toast and goes to school and sees aunt may get home
"Have a good day at school today, I'm gonna be staying home today." Aunt May tells him and he smiles
"Thanks aunt may, enjoy the rest you deserve it." He tells her as they hug and he goes to school where he meets Gwen along the way
"How's my favorite superpowered person?" She asks and Peter raises an eyebrow at her
"How many superpowered people do you know?" He asks her with a smile
"Just you, but that wouldn't change no matter who gets superpowers now answer my question." She tells him kissing his cheek making him smile more
"I'm good, how's my favorite non superpowered person?" Peter asks and she smiles at him
"I'm good." She tells him before looking at him and frowning slightly "you fought Norman last night?"
"Yea I did, hurt like hell." He tells her with a sigh and she smiles sadly and squeezes his hand in comfort and he squeezes it back
"We'll get through this Peter, stronger than we started." Gwen tells him softly and he chuckles
"Then we'll be pretty damn strong." He tells her and she smirks
"I know." She tell him as they go to school and Harry sees them and walks up with Ned
"What's up, damn Pete, you got beat up or something?" Harry asks and Peter grins awkwardly as it was his friends dad who gave him the bruises
"I fell down some stairs." He says lying
"Some pretty hurtful stairs Peter." Ned says laughing and Peter smirks shrugging as Gwen takes his hand and rubs his shoulder
"Well we're gonna head to class, don't worry, I'll make sure he doesn't fall down anymore stairs." Gwen tells them making them laugh as they walk to class
"I wish I came up with a better excuse." Peter grumbles to her
"Well you can't exactly tell them that his dad beat the hell out of you." She tells him and he looks at her offended and she realizes what she said "sorry."
"It's fine, just been a long night." He tells her with a sigh
With Norman he screams falling down
"Make it stop!" He yells out falling down
"I can make all the pain go away in a snap." The goblin tells him with a grin in its voice as Norman crawls towards the mask
"I'll do whatever you want me to do." Norman begs
"I know you will, we tried your way with Parker, but we both know he won't join us willingly." The mask explains
"So what do... we have to do?" Norman asks and the mask laughs maniacally
"We go for his heart." The mask tells him
Back with aunt may she sighs as she drinks her coffee reading
"Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us... Deliver us!" May reads to herself
The green goblin blasts into the house laughing crazily
"Finish it! Finish it!" He says laughing
"From evil!" May cries out
Peter is doing schoolwork talking to Gwen as well until the Mr Harrington gets a call.
"Mr Parker, you need to go to the proncipals office, you may want to take one of your classmates." Mr Harrington tells him in a sad tone and Peter looks to Gwen who smiles and nods as they walk to the principals office nervously
"You wanted me Mrs Morita?" He asks her and she sighs taking her glasses off
"Mr Parker you might wanna sit down for this, it's about your aunt." She tells him as Gwen feels his hand go limp making her squeeze it tightly not letting out a gasp "I assume you feel comfortable with Ms Stacy hearing this, it isn't something I suggest letting someone you don't want everyone to know about this." She tells him and he nods
"She can hear it if she wants to." He says starting to feel sick to his stomach as they sit down and Gwen strokes his hand in comfort
"Your aunt was in an accident at your house this morning, she's alive but she got pretty messed up as far as the doctors told me, you can go see her now and Ms Stacy as well if she goes with you and that's all she does until 3." She says looking at Gwen who nods
"Alright." Peter says not moving and Gwen gets up and lifts up on Peter
"Peter, let's go." She tells him softly though he still doesn't move making her sigh before lifting up on his chin, making him look her in the eyes as she offers a soft smile
"She'll really appreciate the visitors, especially from her nephew." She tells him softer and he blinks his eyes before nodding and Gwen helps him get up "there you go."
Gwen leads him to the door with her arm around his body helping hold him up, noting just how light he was silently as she gets a call. She looks at her phone while continuing to hold Peter up and sees it's her dad.
"Hello?" She answers
"Are you and Peter out of school now?" Her dad asks
"Yes, we're going to see his aunt, she was in an accident." She tells him and he sighs
"I know, I'm gonna bring you both in my car, don't worry it's not my work car." He tells her
"Thanks dad." She says hanging up and sits down with Peter laying on her shoulder as she brushes his hair with her hand as she lets him cry into her shoulder
"I'm sorry Gwen." He says still crying as her dad pulls up and she opens the back door and guides him to the seat helping him buckle in as she lets him lay his head on her lap
"It's ok, I understand." She says quietly to him as they start their drive to the hospital "it's gonna be probably 30 minutes with the traffic in town today, why don't you get some sleep, I'll wake you up when we get there."
Peter falls asleep in her lap as George looks at his daughter in the rear view mirror.
"You really love him don't you?" He asks her
"Yea dad, he's the one." Gwen says looking at her sleeping boyfriend
"You're both good for each other I think, you balance off one another." George tells her as Gwen smiles down at her sleeping boyfriend
When they arrive at the hospital Gwen softly shakes Peter awake
"Peter, wake up we're here." She tells him as he wakes up with a groan and he looks at his surroundings
"I guess it wasn't a dream was it?" He asks her and she smiles at him sadly
"No it wasn't, I'm sorry babe." Gwen tells him and he sits up
"It's not your fault." Peter tells her
"You gonna call in today?" She asks him and he shakes his head
"Not unless absolutely necessary, I think that'd help keep me calm for aunt may." Peter tells her and she nods
"Alright, I'll be with you so just let me know and I'll talk to Stark about it." She tells him as they walk in the doors and he nods in agreement as they walk to the reception desk
"Can you tell me where May Parker is, I'm her nephew Peter." Peter asks the reception desk lady
"Floor 3 room 10." She tells the two
"Thank you." Peter tells her as they walk to the elevator and once they get in he starts to slightly panic as Gwen grabs a hold of him
"Hey remember look at me." She tells him softly but firmly as he does so "try to be calm for May, once we get done working with stark I'll take you somewhere to blow off some steam."
He nods as they go down to her room as they see multiple doctors around her and her Face is cut up and Gwen holds Peters hand tight.
"Two milligrams IV. Get the BP." One doctor says as Peter looks to them
"Aunt May. Is she gonna be okay? What happened?" Peter asks a different doctor who looks at him
"Yes she's going to be ok. Look you're going to have to leave right now." The doctor tells him
"What happened?" Peter demands as Gwen holds his hand tighter
"Those eyes! Those horrible yellow eyes!" Aunt May cries out and Peter curses under his breath
"He knows who I am. He did it." Peter tells Gwen who nods
"What's the plan?" Gwen asks
"I gotta take him down." Peter tells her but Gwen stops him
"Not with the way you are right now Peter, you're gonna end up really hurt." Gwen tells him and he shakes his head
"I have to do it now." Peter tells her hoping she'd change her mind
"No you don't Peter, you don't have to save the world as soon as possible, if you get hurt too bad, who's gonna take out Osborn? It sure as hell won't be my dad, they're not equipped for that, and your not right now either, let's go to work and you can calm yourself down a little bit and get some head space." Gwen tells him confidently and he looks at her
"Do you think that'd work?" He asks her and she smiles sadly
"I can't make any promises since I don't have what you have, but I know you'd beable to go about it better with a good headspace instead of right now." She tells him softly and he looks down and nods
"Ok you win." Peter tells her as she hugs him
"I wish I didn't win this one, I want us to come out even." Gwen tells him
"Me too, I don't like fighting those I care about." Peter tells her and she smiles at him sadly
"It might happen more than we want but we'll get through it." She tells him confidently and he finally smiles back at her
"Ok, can we go see aunt May tomorrow?" He asks her and she smiles
"Of course we can, that's more than fine." Gwen tells him and he nods
"So you ready to go to work?" Peter asks and Gwen nods
