I want to forget it, my mistakes, but they have a way of coming back. Ruining everything I built.

A confession, a laugh, a rejection, and a "we can still be friends?" In other words, Hikigaya Hachiman finds a friend in Orimoto Kaori. Every Saturday afternoon reserved for their not-dates. And who knows? Perhaps their peculiar friendship may turn into something more... But that was to be expected from the start.

A few centuries have passes since the Stature of Secrecy was broken, as the muggles came to know about the existence of magic. The world didn't end, instead more and power people with 'quirks' - powers and abilities - mutants and espers came out into the open. The world became an even stranger place. Because for all his bravado, he still felt nervous. He knows he should be over all the butterflies and yet he finds himself feeling it all the same—like it was the first time all over again. Because even after inexplicably travelling to the past, he can't help but still fall for Yukinoshita Yukino.

A rejection. A rogue wave. After being thrown overboard, Yumiko and Hachiman are stranded on an island with no idea how to survive and no idea when help is coming.

Hachiman Hikigaya's youth romantic comedy just can't seem to go right!

Hikigaya started his high school life while observing his life long motto of - 'Respecting the status quo'. Unfortunately, in the process he found himself the unwitting victim of becoming the third wheel of others romcoms. But have no fear. As long as he is here, 'love' and 'romance' can take a hike! For those who still want to read the original. Hachiman and Yukino are now together, and the Service Club is back in action thanks to Komachi. All was well to an extent, but Hachiman has one last request for Yukino. What shape will their love take now that they're making progress?

Their final year at Sobu High, Hachiman and Yukino prepare to face the challenges that lay before them. With the service club disbanded, they could now live out the rest of their high school lives in relative peace, but it seems the new year won't be so easy for Hachiman.

Hikigaya Hachiman turns to his favorite light novel "My Teenage Romantic Comedy (Not) as Bad as I Expected" to read on the train. However, it seems that his chuunibyou has returned because the same work disappears and its characters emerge in the hapless Hachiman's everyday life. Hayama Hayato, the original protagonist, does not show up.
