Sen: All hail the Corn Queen! May it's delicious corniness rain down upon you!
Mako:-I have to deal with this for the next several weeks *sigh*
Sen: Aww shucks Mako, don't feel so down. Shoot on up and join me~

3rd P.O.V
From the moment Ophilia arrived in Saintsbridge, something felt off yet she couldn't discern exactly what it was. "That scoundrel has been extorting corn from the pilgrims journeying through our fair city. He must be stopped."
Something sparked within the holy cleric as she spoke with her fellow priest. "I agree! We must make sure the people are safe and their corn protected." The two shook hands, their bond bound through the desire to uphold justice even when they parted ways.
She left Saintsbridge Cathedral, traveled across the stone bridges and town squares in search of the evildoer. "Professor I require your assistance." All of her companions approached, curiosity filled their gazes. "But of course! What has happened?" Especially Cyrus the scholar.
The young healer stood at the ready able to easily retell the request given to them. Primrose, who had been cleaning her father's knife pointed it high into the sky. "We will stalk any suspicious characters within view. And then shuck them until they're not a kernel to spare!"
Ophilia smiled alongside her nodding friends. No matter the reason, the actions of the extortionist was unforgiveable. And they were all in agreement to hunt him, whoever it may be, down. Even Therion who usually avoided anything that didn't have a treasure chest in close proximity agreed.
They found themselves in a corn field on the outskirts. It was around harvest time...the perfect oppertunity to go on a hunt. They traversed through the tall stalks, the sun beaming down their backs. The birds chirped, chattering amongst one another as they kept their eyes peeled.
Suddenly they heard it. Something else was rustling in the fields, moving at incredible speeds. "Ah!" Tressa was grabbed, taken into the brush. "Tressa! Where did-!" Then Cyrus. Olberic and H'aanit rushed with their sword and bow out, only to disappear themselves.
The remaining four, stood, their backs facing one another, their own weapons out and ready to strike. "Stay on your guard!" It didn't take long for them to find the bandits they were looking for...but they underestimated their might.
They leaped out from the tall crops. "The corn bandits!" Their green trousers and yellow shirts reminded them of something, something they couldn't quite place. "Nyehehe...so comes another batch of foolish heroes. I gonna pop em up!" Ophilia was already summoning her magic, raising her staff.
"Oh sacred light!" The bandits shied away from the intense spell, their hair turning bright sunshine blonde. "Grrr you're going to pay! By the time i'm done with you, there won't be a kernal to spare!" It was chaos.
Spells and blades flew in all directions. "Thanks for the save, Alfyn." The group remaining four made sure to stick close. "Aw shucks, Prim, anytime!" Therion rolled his eyes as he slashed at an enemy's back. "Enough with the sappy crap. It's enough to make my skin crawl."
Ophilia casted her spell once more, her holy light overtaking every enemy in her vicinity. "We have you now! For the love of corn we shall smite you!" Her companions released their battle cries as they shot forth.
"WAKE UPPPPPPPPPP!"
The cleric blinked as she opened her eyes, surprised. Tressa had a pan and metal spoon in her hand, the two objects in contact with one another. Primrose and H'aanit stood off to the side, both of them holding a hand to their head in exasperation. Or perhaps they also obtained major headaches from Tressa banging her cooking tools together.
The healer honestly wasn't sure. "Oh, what happened?" All she knew was she was in her room, her head was pounding as the rest of her female friends looked on at her with worried expressions. "You don't remember?" The two older women glanced at one another before the beast tamer approached.
"Thou hadst collapsed after a drink. We were worried." The guilty goblet laid on the table in their room. Primrose picked it up, her face scrunched up in distaste. "I know you said it would be rude to refuse such a gift after helping out the innkeeper, but I think we need to start teaching you how to say 'no."
Honestly, she couldn't remember. "I'm sorry for the trouble..." Each of the girls shook their head. "Don't go speaking nonsense, we're just glad you're alright. You slept in pretty late and missed breakfast." On cue Ophilia's stomach growled.
With a blush she held her middle, trying to quiet the sounds. "Tressa, why don't you go get her some lunch...and put those away while you're at it." The merchant in training pouted but ultimately obeyed, running out the room.
As ruse as it may sound, the blonde woman hoped Tressa would return soon, there was an awful aftertaste in her mouth. "Quite strangeth to find corn wine." Ah...it was all coming back to her now. "An abomination to be sure, Ophilia I'm dumping the remainder of it."
She watched, unsure of how to feel or what was even going on as she watched the graceful dancer pour the bottle she received into one of the inn's flower pots. The gray-yellow slosh trickled down, disappearing into the soil just as the door slammed open.
"I'm baaaack! And I have lunch!" A nauseating aroma hit Ophilia's nose, causing her to swallow a batch of unwanted saliva. "What isith?" Her appetite was completely gone. "Mashed potatoes with a side of gravy and corn!"
Despite being a holy woman on an important quest, she was still human. Her complexion grew green. "I'm afraid I've lost my appetite." She needed a drink. "What's wrong?" A real one.
the end

Sen: Let faith be your guide and all the crap right?
Mako: *gets a game over* Sigh...well, hopefully the other little stories aren't as weird as this one. Alright guys, thank you all so much for reading. Please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean so much to me. Tchao for now.
