Mufasa and Sarabi were expecting their first cub.
Runju and Sarafina was expecting their first cub as well.
Mufasa and Runju were doing patrol around the Pride lands.
Sarafina and Sarabi were hanging in the den with the other lioness.
Some were pregnant with their first cub as well.
Sarabi ask Sarafina "if our cubs turn out to be opposite gender, do you like the idea of betrothed them to each other when they are older?"
Sarafina smiles "that would be wonderful, Sarabi."
Two weeks later, Sarabi was resting by the trees with the other lioness when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach.
Sarafina ask "what's wrong?"
Sarabi pants "the cub is coming!"
Sarafina and the other lioness around them hurried Sarabi to Pride Rock.
Once they get there, they hurry to the birthing den further up past royal den.
Sarabi lays down on her side and pants through labor.
One of the lioness named Kudeka ran off to inform the king of his mate in labor.
Mufasa and Runju were on their way back from patrol the borders when Kudeka ran to them.
Kudeka panics "thank goodness I finally found you King Mufasa!"
Mufasa raise his worry "what's wrong, Kudeka?"
Kudeka answers "your mate, Sarabi went into labor right now. I been looking for you to inform you!"
They run back to Pride rock.
Once they arrived at Pride Rock, Kudeka ran inside the birthing den.
Mufasa and Runju stood outside because they weren't allowed inside because lioness fear that the male would attack the cub or cubs.
Four hours go by before Kudeka returns.
Mufasa ask "are they fine?"
Kudeka smiles "yes. The queen is resting. You can come in and see them, but keep your distance from them."
Mufasa walked inside and stood three feet away to see his mate sleeping with his cub nursing.
He whispers "is it a boy or a girl?"
Kudeka whispers back "it's a boy. Congratulations my King."
Mufasa smiles proudly at having a son.
Sarabi opens her eyes to see her mate sitting three feet away from them and sighs "do you want to meet your son?"
Mufasa smiles "he looks beautiful, Sarabi."
Three days later, Sarabi was waiting in the birthing den with the other pregnant lioness.
Sarafina went into labor.
Runju was on patrol with Mufasa.
Zazu comments "there seems to be no trouble and hyenas have been staying out of the Pride lands."
Mufasa comments "odd."
Runju comments "we haven't seen hyenas around for close to three weeks now."
A gound hog poped up and told them that Hyenas were in the pride lands.
Kudeka ran to them and says "Runju! Sarafina is in labor!"
Mufasa tells Runju "go to Sarafina. I'll deal with the hyenas."
Runju ask "are you sure?"
Mufasa nods his head "yes, go. I'll deal with the hyenas."
They separate to do their own things.
Kudeka and Mufasa ran to intercept the hyenas while Runju ran back to Pride rock to be there for his cub.
Once he arrives at birthing den, Penda came outside to see if Runju arrived back and says "Sarafina is still in labor."
Three hours later, Sarafina gave birth to a little girl.
Sarabi ask "are you excited that she has a future royalty when she grows up?"
Sarafina grins "yes."
Sarabi looks down at Simba in her paws sleeping.
She licks his forehead to cause him to mew and open his eyes to a cub nursing away from him.
Sarafina grins "he has Mufasa's eyes."
Simba mews at the cub.
Sarafina looks at her daughter who stops feeding and turns her head to see Simba mew and trying to reach for her.
Nala mews back at him.
Simba mews to her which she opens her mouth in surprise and mews in question.
Simba nods his head at her.
Sarabi ask "I wonder what they said to each other?"
Sarafina answers "I don't know, but it sounded like feelings."
Simba tried reach for Nala and mews in a fit because he can't get to her.
Sarabi smirks "oh do you want to meet Nala?"
Simba mews again to answer his mother's question.
Sarabi gets up and grabs Simba by his neck and carries him over to where Sarafina and Nala was sitting at.
Simba mews at Nala to nuzzle her in greeting.
Nala mews back to return the feelings.
Simba licks her cheek to Nala who nuzzles back.
The lioness coo at them at Simba and Nala display of affection towards each other.
Runju walked inside and ask "is it safe to come see my daughter?"
Sarafina turns to her mate and grins "it seems that our daughter got a boyfriend."
Runju ask "are you sure?"
Looking at his daughter and the prince nuzzling each other and mewing in language that adults don't understand.
Runju ask "do you know what their saying?"
Sarabi answers "I believe young Simba told Nala that he likes her and maybe in love with her."
Runju comments "I think I would keep an eye on Simba to see if he's perfect for my daughter."
The lioness laid down to sleep.
Simba mewed after being separated from Nala to sleep.
Sarabi smiles "it's okay, Simba. You can hang with your girlfriend tomorrow."
Simba stop fussing at hanging out with Nala.
Two week go by before the pregnant lioness gave birth to their cubs only days apart.
Tojo and Tama were twins, Malka, Aisha, Chumvi, Kula, Thresh and Meava.
