A million years isn't much, as the galaxy spins. Stars are older. Nebulae are older. Drifting shards of unidentified matter and splinters of subatomic particles and wave-form properties we don't even have names for yet are considerably older still. For human beings, though, a small million years is a very long stretch indeed. Its a small step back in time, but one that extends way past our feeble scratching in civilization, before we could be counted as even moderately intelligent creatures.
There are other entities out there, and the Cube was proof of that. Before even time began, the Cube was there. No one knows where it comes from, only that it holds the power to create worlds and filled them with life. That was how their race was born. For a time they have lived in harmony, but like all great power...and like all beings with life...some wanted it for good, others evil. And so began a war that ravage a planet until it was consumed by death. The Cube was cast out from the world awash in death, catapulted into the emptiness of interstellar space by a convulsion greater than any that had preceded its creations, it now wandered aimlessly across the great glowing spiral of the galaxy. And even then, those who had battled over its control still fought for it even in its absence.
Though while some still fought, many others scatter across the galaxy, hoping to find it and rebuild their home...searching every star, every world...until finally when all hope seems lost...a message was sent out. A faint message but it was still heard...The Cube had been found and thus it draw attention...attention that will connect many fates together and change history before anyone knew of it.
Qatar-The Middle East
Captain Will Lennox opens one eye, the sound of the blades of the CV-22s filling his ears as they flew over the vast desert. "God five months of this, can't wait to get a little taste of home," sitting up a bit, Will looks over to one of his friends, and coworker as he smiles wishfully, "a plate of mama's alligator e'eouffee," Will couldn't help the grimace that grew on his face at the sound of that dish. One of the other men seem to agree with him.
"You been talking about barbecue gators and crickets for the last two weeks Fig," Epps said, pointing at Fig while he held tightly to the old Ipod he had grip in his hand, "I am never going to your mama's house Fig."
"Bobby...Bobby," Fig though seem to try to convince Epps otherwise, "Gators are known to have the most succulent meat," Epps rolls his eyes, but Will could see at that moment that was a bad move as Fig started speaking rapidly in Spanish.
"English," Epps calls out, "English please,"
Will sighs, sitting up as a flash of anger that grew in Fig's eyes, "Fig...I know its your heritage, and we respect that," he holds his hand out to the other, to keep him silent, "But none of us speak it,"
"Hey you guys remember weekends?" Donnelly calls out, a smile on his face. Will sighs, giving him a slight nod of thanks for stopping the argument in its track, "The Sox at Fennway… a cool hotdog and a flat beer,"
"A perfect day," Fig sighs in agreement, closing his eyes. Chuckling he turns his head towards Will, "What about you Captain? You got a perfect day?"
"Nah...not yet at least. I just can't wait to go home and hold my baby girl for the first time," he leans forward, "Imprint on her and start teaching her to say daddy," he snorts when this comment got him some teasing as they all started saying "awwwww", and "That's adorable,". Will shakes his head, "Oh shut up!"
"Be warned," Epps grins, leaning over, "Once they start talking, they;ll be saying, "Daddy I want to go see Stars and Stripe. I want a Cow Lady action figure...or I want to see the next Godzillo movie," Epps shoulders shake as he laughs when Will frowns at him, "I'm just warning you man,"
The sun was setting when they finally landed, the group departing away from each other to do other things around the base. Will walks beside Epps, both of them looking with longing at the Lagoon. It wasn't really a Lagoon, just a bunch of small kiddie pools crowded together, but in the blazing heat they were the best way to cool down besides the air-conditioned Operation Center, which they weren't allowed in unless station there. Of course there were the showers, but no one could stay in them long, quick showers were only allowed. Of course some others were just ignoring the heat, trying to keep going. Some playing a basketball game against one another.
Will waves Epps away as the other headed to one of the tents, while the Captain sat down at the benches to look over his gear, "Lennox!" looking up Will smiles at the sight of the small boy that was running towards him, holding out a bag for him, "Water?"
Smiling Will takes the bag with a smile, "Why thank you," he stood up, looking down at Mahfouz, "You going to help me with the gear?" the boy nodded, seeing it as a good trade to be allowed to use the rec room to watch tv and bug shamelessly for candy from everyone...which usually works for the boy…
"Colonel Sharp," inside the said air-conditioned Operation Center, none of the soliders station inside were feeling any relief, "We have an unidentified inbound infiltrator ten miles out and closing," reported a man, turning away from the console just as a higher up walked over. He too frowns at the screen, sadly not making any sense of it either.
"Unidentified aircraft you are in a restricted U.S military air space, squawk ident and proceed east out of the area," instead of a response, all Sharp got was a sea of static. Sighing in annoyance, "Raptors One and Two: snap to heading two-five zero for intercept. Bogie is in the weeds ten miles out and not squawking," he leans forward, gripping the table tightly, "This...this is so troublesome,"
Lennox frowns a bit at the sight of the two raptor planes flying off before he shakes his head before he push into the rec room, which was more of a tent than anything else, "My wife on?" at the confirmation, Will felt like he had gone over the moon as he hurried over to the laptop. His smiles brightly at the sight of his wife and the little girl in her arms, "Ah my ladies!" he grins, spreading his arms wide. The grin all but grew bigger on his face, "Oh look at her she is getting so big. Look at those cheeks I just want to pinch them," his eyes move onto Sarah, "Babe we made a good looking kid. I know people say that all the time. But wow, we made one good looking kid,"
Sarah laughs, her shoulders shaking, "She has your laugh," Sarah replies, crystal and clear with no delay.
Will's eyes widen, not knowing for sure if he wanted to burst into tears or start laughing himself. Another milestone he had miss in his daughter's life, "Her first laugh, are you sure? You sure she didn't just fart?"
"She's a lady Will," Sarah's eyes glisten slightly, probably knowing why Will had said that. At the moment though, Little Annabelle started to cry, and that made Will grimace, "Its ok Will...she just doesn't know you yet...but she will...I promise" she then frowns, "You are coming home this time...right?"
"Colonel assured me this time. I am due on rotation...no bullshit," Will grins, mirth in his eyes, "Though I think he is doing it because he is afraid of Epps coming for his throat if that happens again,"
"He should be worried about me than Epps," Sarah mutters and Will nods his head in agreement at that. But then he frowns as screen that showed Sarah and Annabelle burst into pixels and static.
"Sarah?" he calls out, grabbing a hold of the camera and tries to shake it. "Shit...hey! Sarah if you can hear me, I love you and I'll be home soon!" he could barley hear the sound of Sarah's voice before the connection broke. Sighing, Will rubs his head, a frown of annoyance on his face, turning around to exit the Rec Room. The frown grew more when he sees others started crowding around a helicopter.
"What are they doing," he whispers, walking over to Epps and Mahfouz, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder in a gentle but firm grip. They all watch as the blades of the helicopter stop...and rose up. They all stared, with wide eyes filled with horror but also fascination and awe as parts shifted, moving in a way that it shouldn't. Before long, there was no longer a chopper, but...something else. Something that had legs, arms and a head, something that was so unfamiliar and strange to them.
But not unfamiliar to all of them.
Epps takes a step back, yellow eyes wide as he swallows dryly, "Lennox...please tell me that thing doesn't look like one of those robots from Kamino City," Epps whispers, watching as none of the bullets that hit it did anything. Lennox own eyes widen at this, seeing that Epps was right...before he quickly grabs Epps by the arm and wraps his other arm around Mahfouz waist, lifting him up and running as everything went to hell.
The robot shot bullets back, alongside a missel that cause an explosion to erupt, sending many people flying. A clap of thunder sounded, and a bright white wall knocked many more off their feet. Others were running around, screaming as they went and search for cover as the robot stalked forward towards the Command Center, ripping off the roof of it when it was close enough.
The people inside looked up, staring in fear and disbelief as a large hand reached down and wrapped around one of the consoles wires coming up to wrapped around the giant's finger, almost alive. Colonel Sharp ran in, ordering many to move, to get out as a low whine came from the robot. He stares, before he turns his head to one of the few working computers, seeing it flash through many images and words. One caught his eyes though.
Project Ice Man-Top Secret Sci-Sector Seven Access Only
The colonel had no idea what an ice man is, unless it was somebody's Quirk, or what Sector Seven was...all Sharp did know was, that this thing was going through files and taking them. Restricted files… "Its going after the deep files! Cut the hard lines!"
One of the men who was still there heard him and ran over to the electrical box. Though he cursed before he turned to Sharp, "I need a key!" he calls out pulling at the lock. He widens his eyes as Sharp stood up, grabbing an ax that hung on the wall before running over. Swinging the blade of the ax against the desire wires. It took many hacks, before they were cut through. Their moment of victory ended though with the howl of outrage they heard.
Lennox ran with Mahfouz in his arms, Epps right behind him and soon join by Fig, Donnelly and many others who Lennox didn't really know. The base had all but dissolve into complete and utter chaos. Tanks and cars were flying in the air, causing explosions or worse, landing on people. Lennox swallows seeing that happen, just barley avoiding sharing the same fate. Turning harsh to the left, they hid behind a row of tanks, eyes widening as he calls out to Epps.
Epps shouts out, quickly scrambling away from the large metal foot that almost squash him. Avoding it but landing on his back. Sliding backwards, Epps swings up the thermal imager, not knowing if it would really show anything, but praying it would. Though when a gun appeared in the middle of the thing's chest, Epps didn't have time to see if it did capture the image, rolling onto his feet and following the others as Fig's fire a flare, managing to knock it backwards a bit and giving them enough time to run, fleeing into the desert.
None of them look back, if they did they would had seen...something, unlatch itself from the robot's back, digging into the sand and following them. None of them saw the robot, firing blast after blast, completely destroying everything in its path, vaporizing many people in one go. There screams being cut off, leaving only the silence of the night.
Aldrea High School- Musutafu, Japan
"Okay…" the teacher, a blond man whose name no one really knew, sighs All the students just called him teach or Sensei. Rubbing his face he looks up, "Midoriya, you're up next,"
The classroom grew silence as all the chatter stops. Heads turned, looking as a girl with black hair that reached her shoulders, the curls having a green tint to it in the light. Her pale skin had freckles across the bridge of her nose, along with three scars, one long and ragged, starting half up her forehead and going right over her left eye to end halfway down her cheek….as if somebody tried to cut her eye out and failed.
Her green eyes blink at them all, looking at them with little emotion, not saying anything at them and making them fidget at her silence. But finally, she stood up, grabbing her yellow bag and walking over to the front desk, turning to stare at the faces that slowly grew sneers. Sighting and shaking her head, Izuku Midoriya began to speak about her project.
"I did my family genealogy on my great great grandfather Archibald Witwicky, a famous man from the States," she picks up an old, framed picture of him, holding it out for the others to see, "Captain Witwicky was famous because he was an explorer. He became famous because he was the first to explore the Arctic Circle," placing down the picture, she then picks up an old map of the Arctic Circle, "which back then was a really big deal, especially before the time of Quirks," she rolls her eyes at the groans that her classmates let out.
Fighting the urge to roll her eyes as the teacher did nothing, Izuku continue, "In 1897, he took 41 brave sailors...or very stupid no one really knows...into the Arctic shelf where eventually their ship got caught in the ice. Forced to depart from the ship in attempt to clear a path so that they could continue, Archibald suffered a fall of unknown distance. It was believed that while trying to get out of the hole he'd fallen into, he suffered some sort of injured in an unknown way...why those who believed in...cryptic and stuff like that...they believed that he was attack by some sort of...monster. Because after he was pulled free from the ice, he had lost his vision and was raving and ranting about some Ice Man,"
She then, finally picked up a pair of glasses, cracks forming along the glasses. So many in fact, that Izuku was surprised that they weren't shatter, "Unfortunately, my great-great grandfather, the genius that he was, wounded up going blind during that expedition. And later on, his mental health began to rapidly deteriorate, so badly in fact that he ended up in a psycho ward," placing the glasses down, she lifts up the newspaper clipping that she had printed off the computer, showing the announcement of Archibald being sentence to the ward. Alongside it, she picked up some old yellow parchment, stain with ink that drew unknown symbols, "Where, he would spend the rest of his life rabbling about the ice man he saw, while drawing these strange symbols.
The loud bell that signified the end of the day made Izuku's shoulder slump in relief. As the teacher called out to them about a pop test that might happen or not, she quickly pushes everything into her, before turning around and making her way out of the building, "Almost done...almost done…just one more year…" she promises to herself, slipping out of the doors.
She kept her head down, even though a part of her...deep within her snarled in fury. She patted it down, trying to calm it, telling it that she was tired for the day and didn't want to deal with any shit...she already had a headache forming do to her homeroom teacher announcing to the whole class on where she wanted to go after high school. It was one of the reasons why she fled from the classroom and didn't linger...Bakugou had showed his displeasure at this news.
"Boss!" looking up Izuku felt a small smile grow on her face. Leaning against an old pickup, was a girl slightly taller than her with salmon pink dreadlocks that were side-swept to her right. Her green-yellow eyes were wide and were shining with amusement as Izuku walked over to her, "You ready to get your junker,"
Izuku rolls her eyes, throwing her bag into the back, "You don't know it will be a junker, Mei"
"Boss, your first car is always a piece of shit," Mei pats the hood of her trunk with a grin, "And the place that you told me you going to? Well yeah...its going to be a piece of shit, which is why I'm coming with you..that way you won't be trick into paying more than you should,"
Izuku sighs, "Thank again for this Mei...I really aprec-"
"DEKU!"
Snapping her head over her shoulder, Izuku frowns as Bakugou leaps down from the stairs, and begins to stalk towards her, explosions sparking from the palm of his hands, "Well aint that just Prime," she whispers.
"Lets go Boss," Mei responded, opening her door and slipping inside. Izuku followed her example, quickly getting in, and closing the door just as Mei started the engine.
"GET BACK HERE DEKU! WE AREN'T DONE TALKING!" Bakugou roars out but before he cloud slam his hand against the door of Mei's car she drove off, leaving him behind at the school.
Izuku sighs, closing her eyes as she leans into the cars seat, ignoring the roars of rage she could still hear from Bakugou, "Is he still giving you problems Boss? I could wack him with my wrench...or have him test one of my babies...no promises that it won't explode on him,"
Izuku snorts, "Its fine Mei...really….I can handle Bakugou, have been for years. He's nothing compare to what we been through...I'm just more annoyed today with how tired I am," to prove her point, Izuku broke out into a yawn.
"Not getting enough sleep again?"
"Yeah...dreams are acting up again...they'll die down soon…" Izuku was broken off by another yawn, "Hopefully," she whispers before she scratches at her arm. She gives Mei a slight glare when the other girl slaps at her hand, giving her a look. What neither of them knew though, was that driving behind them, a faded yellow camaro quietly follow behind them.
Bunta's Auto Resell and Petting Zoo was the last place Izuku wanted to go, especially for her first car...but it was the only place in all of Musutafu where she could actually afford one. Sure there were a bunch of use car lots, Izuku was only going up to 4000, for that is how much she had saved with her job as a Quirk analyst. She eye the emu warily as she got out of Mei's truck, taking in the angry look in the bird's eyes.
"How much you wanna bet that thing has a taste for blood," Mei jokes a bit, but she stares at it in disgust as well. Just one look at the cage and they both knew that any officer, or Hero would had this place shut down for animal abuse. Exchanging quick looks, both knew that once they get the car they needed, both will be reporting.
"Minato!" turning their heads, Izuku saw a man called out from the doorway of the shop, "Get your cousin out of that damn clown suit. He's having heat stroke again," looking over her shoulder, Izuku grimace at the sight of the man wearing said clown suit, his makeup melting right off his face even as he waved a sign, "Scaring white folks," Izuku frowns, but turns back to the man that had been yelling, blinking when he walked over to her with a professional smile on his face, "Ladies! The name's Bunta, and how may I help you this fine day?"
"Here for my first car," Izuku stated, frowning as Bunta places a hand on his chest.
"And you came to me?" he asked in humble attitude, but by just looking in his eyes, Izuku could see the greed shining through them. Izuku didn't say anything but nodded her head, and Bunta grin spreads even more on his face as he wraps an arm around her shoulders. She holds back the urge to growl, and she gave Mei a look when she noticed the other girl's fingers twitched, giving a slight shake of her head, "That practically makes us family. Uncle Bunta B, baby. Uncle Bunta B," he said, the look of joy masking the greed on his face. The man quickly began to lead her over to a row of beaten cars, Izuku quickly slips out of his hold giving him look that made him gulp and take a step away from her.
"You aren't going to call him that...are you?" Mei asked, quickly walking beside her, fingers one more twitching.
"Hell no," Izuku growls, but kept following behind Bunta, noticing a camaro driving into the row before shaking her head.
"Young lady, your first enchilada of freedom awaits underneath one of those hoods. Let me tell you something, kid. A driver don't pick the car. The car'll pick the driver," Bunta's head nodded up and down as if he were a preacher, it made Izuku shiver in disgust, thinking of the preachers of the….cult…
"Do not think of those times...my sparkling...do not allow your enemies the victory of you remembering them,"
Izuku did just that, pushing aside the memories just as Bunta pointed at an old lady, who flicked him off. Confusion flowing through her, Izuku frowns as Bunta mutters that he would bust her head if he had a rock. Head throbbing, Izuku turns her head away and gazes at the camaro. Frowning, she walks over to it, brushing her fingers against the metal of the hood. Yellow in color with black racing stripe, though faded with a bit of dents and scratches, looked to be in good condition. "This is...a really old car," she mutters, turning to Mei who gazes at it with awe, "Like...pre-Quirk…I didn't even think these things were still around,"
"They...they aren't suppose to be," Mei whispered in agreement, watching as Izuku easily open the door, looking at the interior of the car. Izuku couldn't help but giggle at the disco ball hanging from the rear view mirror before she slides onto the faded leather seats.
"This is nice," Izuku gently spoke, a soft smile growing on her face even as Bunta started screaming at Minato, asking where the camaro came from. As Minato came over after chasing the man wearing the clown suit, Izuku grips the steering wheel, brushing her thumb against the middle of the wheel, wiping off dirt and grime.
Her green eyes widen, a gasp escaping from her lips as she stares at the mark that was revealed to her. She could hear a roar in her head, but she shakes it off, gesturing to Mei to come over. The other girl gasps as well, her whole body freezing as she too stare at the mark, both exchanging looks before Izuku nodded her head, "How much?" she called out to Bunta who snaps his head over to her.
Looking it over, Bunta frowns, "Five thousand,"
"Shit," Izuku curses, gripping on the wheel a bit too tight, "I have that much but the last thousand is for bills, rent and food…"
Mei looks at her, "You know my mom would help you with any of that…. She won't mind you…"
"Wasting all my money on a car?" Izuku whispers, "Your mom is a great woman Mei, but she doesn't know what we know...how can I explain to her that I use all my money for a car just because I wanted it...that doesn't sound like me," Mei hums in agreement to this, backing up so Izuku could slip out. Izuku turns to Bunta, closing the door, and then jumping as the other door opens, slamming into the side of the Bug that stood beside it.
"Don't worry about that! I'll get a sledgehammer and knock this right out!" Bunta said before he began to yell for Minato again. Izuku frowns, staring at the camaro and taking a step closer to Mei as Bunta began to try and have her look at other cars, even the Bug.
"Greater than man," Izuku eyes the camaro, just as a loud pitch...whine came from the speakers of the radio. Mei grabs Izuku's shoulders, pulling her to the ground, as ever single window, from every single car on the lot exploded, the shards falling to the ground. Slowly looking up, the two girls stare with wide eyes at the glass that litter the ground, sparkling in the sunlight. Izuku couldn't help but let a laugh escape from her, joining the almost silent chuckle from the back of her head as Bunta quickly scrambles to his feet, staring in horror before he turns to Izuku, eyes wide as he holds up four fingers.
"4,000"
Melissa didn't expect this when she deiced to go to Japan and try out for U.A support course the next year. Sure she could go to one of the many universities on I-Island, but Melissa...she wanted to see the world, experience it, all the good….and even the bad.
"It helps that the divorce between mother and papa made me choose," Melissa cringes at that thought, shaking her head to push the sadness away. Her mother...Melissa frowns, biting at her lip, her papa had discovered that her mother only married him to get closer to Uncle Might. Her Uncle Might...when her papa had called him, to ask him if what he learn was correct...her Uncle Might was sadden.
It had turned out that her mother just could not take a no. Being very flirty with him, even when he had told her off, and turn her down. Her Uncle Might was, and is very gay, something that Melissa and him bonded to, and that Papa tease them when they become so fluster when they see a very cute guy or girl...but Melissa's mother..she never stop...not really, but she still went after her papa..the only good thing was that she now revealed the truth now that Melissa was eighteen. She would had done it much sooner if she didn't become pregnant with her, believing a child needed both their parents...especially after Melissa was revealed to be Quirkless, thinking her daughter needed all the support she could get. Though...it was getting very messy, so when her Uncle Might had offer her a place to stay, even a recommendation for the Support Course Exam...Melissa had taken it…
But now, Melissa was staring with wide blue eyes, as a green slime villain rampages, a boy trapped in the middle of its slimy mass. Many Heroes were on the scene, but Melissa could only see that Kamui Woods and Backdraft were doing anything, rescuing people from the burning buildings and trying to put out the fires. Meanwhile, Death Arms, Mount Lady and Slugger were just….standing there...doing absolutely nothing…
Another explosion went off, people crying out and screaming as the flames came a bit closer to them. But Melissa's eyes were on the other boy, the cause of the explosions, struggling to break free. Melissa...she could see that he was starting to lose conscious. That his eyes were slowly glazing over even as the Heroes just stood there, saying that someone with a better Quirk would be coming soon…
No...someone had to do something now or they would be saving a carcass.
Bursting from the crowd, ignoring the screams of shock and shouts from the heroes yelling at her to stop, she pulls a wrench from her bag, always having it on hand as she ran towards a fire hydrant. She remember one time getting slime stuck to her hair...how her papa had gotten it out of her blonde locks even as he chuckles, "Hey!" she calls out as she pushes the head of the wretch's head onto the nut, smiling wide like her Uncle Might, watching as the slime villain turns to her, just as she pulls.
Water exploded from the fire hydrant, blasting the smile villain dead on in the face. Melissa grins, watching as the body ripple and growing clearer as water mixes into the green sticky body, bits and pieces of it flowing away, sliding off the other boy's body, allowing him to breathe. Melissa grimaces at the angry look he directed at her, but he didn't waste anytime, trying to rip free from the villain's grasp.
Melissa didn't stand still, she moved again, running towards him and grabbing his wrist. Not even flinching when he growls at her, "I don't need your fucking help extra!"
"Your welcome," Melissa spats back, rolling her eyes but begins to pull him, but the villain growls, bringing up a soggly but still slimy arm.
"I'm going to fucking kill you bitch!" he snarls and begins to swing down at her. Melissa's eyes widen, but she stood her ground, lips curling...when a large figure stood between them. Melissa gasps, smiling at the sight while the other boy's jaw drops.
"I'm really am pathetic…" All Might growls, pulling his arm free from the slime's grip, "But...I will never...ever allow you to touch her...let alone hurt her!" he snarls, pulling his arm back.
"All Might," the boy that Melissa had help gasps in awe, both watching as he delivers a blow against the villain. Said villain splatter against the wall, as the winds created by the blows not only put out all the flames, but it seemed to form clouds above them. Many looked up, staring with wide eyes as it begun to ran, putting out any small flicker of flames that remained.
The cheering started after that display, all of them chanting All Might's name. Melissa sighs, placing a hand on her chest as the police and other heroes came forward. The officers beginning to bag up the slime, while the heroes….Mellisa frowns as they came towards her, "What were you thinking," Death Arms snarls, and Melissa could see that he was holding back the urge to grab her and shake her, "Do you have a death wish?"
Melissa frowns, "No...but you all weren't doing anything as he was suffocating to death," Melissa's eyes narrow, "You were all just standing there, calling out that another hero with the right Quirk would save him...if I didn't run in and got that slime off his mouth he would be dead," her arms shook as she curls her hands into fists, "It was a bad match up," she repeated the words they have spoken as they stood back, "Would you tell his parents that as you apologize when they ask why you didn't save him?" she was glad at least that Mount Lady and Kamui Woods flinch at her words, though she glares at Death Arms who was frowning at her, "You all need to start acting like Heroes like your licenses proclaim you are...you can't expect All Might to come swooping in to save the day...he isn't immortal...neither is Endeavor or Hawks or any of the other top ten Heroes….they are humans just like us...they won't be here forever...and its up to those who take the path of Heroes to not stand around and do nothing, to hopefully keep the peace that the Heroes before them created so we can all live happily,"
Melissa would had kept going on if Uncle Might didn't place a hand on her shoulder, "Execllent words Young Melissa," he smiles, a more natural smile than the one he uses in his hero form before he turns towards Death Arms, "I suggest you go and file in your reports to the police and leave the scolding of my neice to me," he all but growls out, ignoring how the reporters on scene gasps which were quickly followed by flashes of cameras going off. "Now if you would excuse us,"
Quickly picking her up into his arms, Uncle Might jumped in the air, quickly landing on the roof of a nearby building. Gasping in breath, Melissa slides out of his arms, legs shaking, "I'm sorry Uncle Might," she began but then coughs when he erupts into a cloud of smoke, once more turning into his smaller and much skinnier true form.
"Its fine Young Melissa," Uncle Might smiles, placing a hand on her head and ruffling her blonde locks, "In fact...I couldn't help but be proud. She blinks at this, making him laugh, "I...I was in the croud...I was like them...standing by and waiting for another hero to come by...I had use up all my time trying to catch that slime villain...and I lost him...allowing him to grab that boy...but you," he coughs a bit, blood pooling out of his mouth making Melissa squeak but he waves away her concerns, "You reminded me what my master taught me all those years ago...that a true hero runs...no they race towards danger...without even thinking…"
Uncle Might stares at her, and gently grabs her hands, "Melissa...do..I know you said you given up on being a hero...but...is that true?"
Melissa stares, biting at her lips but sighs, "I mean...I do want to be like papa...I will still be a hero in my own right...like him...but sometimes…." she gently spoke, barley above a whisper, "I still dream of being like you Uncle Might...saving people...being a hero like you…"
"What if I say there is a way," he gently said, squeezing her hands, "a way for you to be Hero...a way for me to give you my Quirk,"
Melissa gasps at this, staring at her Uncle with wide eyes, filled with disbelief that it made him chuckle.
"There is so much I never told your father about my Quirk...its called One for All...and I am its eighth wielder...and I wish for you, Melissa...to become its ninth,"
Have this posted on my a03 account Ive been working on this so lets see how you all like it
