Issei woke up groggily, not used to sleeping on a much smaller, firmer bed in his temporary apartment. He washed the tiredness out of his face as he put on his tracksuit for early morning exercises.

Since his dimension was still under construction, he had to improvise, so he did a couple dozen laps around Kouh before stopping in Kuoh Park, sitting behind the fountain.

He looked at a specific section of the park that held significance to him; it was where Raynare killed him.

"I wonder what this version of me would've done back then", he ponders on hypothetical scenarios.

Shaking those thoughts out of his head, he realises that it's been 24 hours since he was in this dimension, meaning at least 5000 years had passed. He was now curious about what his planet looked like after the elemental sprites were done with their job.

[Ability Used: Rift]

He opens a rift and enters his dimension; when he enters the other side, he can immediately feel the difference between his world and Earth. The air was much cleaner; the sky had no pollution of any kind, and the ocean smelled fresh and clean.

"Maybe mankind is the problem", he says out loud in astonishment, taking in the new environment.

He looks around and sees various landscapes, large expanses of water, floating islands, and various biomes. He notes that it is much larger than Earth; although he calculated it theoretically, he didn't expect it to be this large.

[Bonus Reward: Ability Upgrade = Soul Binding had been upgraded to Legion Manipulation]

Issei raises his eyebrow, seeing that one of his prominent abilities gets upgraded. "Legion Manipulation? Like Legion from the bible?" he wonders out loud.

From what he knew, Legion referred to a group of many demons, not devils but demons.

"Legion", Issei whispers in a low and hollow tone.

Instantly, the red entities that Issei knew as soul-bonded beings appear in front of him. These are some beings that obliterated the Anti-Monsters Shalba created on the day of the invasion.

From what he knew about these beings, they were masses of soul energy that took the form of their physical appearances before they were killed. When Issei kills an opponent, he has the ability to take their soul and transform into these entities.

Now, he is being told that his unique ability has been upgraded and that there is more to them than he thought. Feeling a bit confused, Issei decides to get an answer.

"System, can you tell me about Legion Manipulation?" he asks the system A.I.

[Legion Manipulation]

[Ability Description: Legion Manipulation allows the user to command a collective of souls bound to them by corrupting their souls, forming a legion of spiritual entities. Unlike simple soul-binding, these entities can operate independently or as a unified force, exhibiting various powers and abilities they possess in their physical lives. The user can summon and control these entities with enhanced precision and power.]

[The Legion have no form of self-awareness. Instead, they only retain their instincts. The only direction they follow is the user's will; the intelligence of the Legion is based on the user's.]

[New Features Unlocked]

1. Pseudo Immortality: They cannot die by conventional means, but when completely destroyed, they get banished back to this dimension to reform. The reformation time is depended on the power, size and mass of the Legion.

2. Mind Link: The user can perceive what the legion perceives.

3. Hive Mind: Establish a mental link with all summoned entities, allowing for seamless coordination and strategy.

4. Soul Enhancement: Temporarily boosts the abilities of individual entities, making them stronger, faster, and more resilient.

Issei took a moment to process the new information. The upgrade was more comprehensive than he had anticipated. The concept of Pseudo Immortality was particularly intriguing; it meant that his Legion could always be a resource, provided he managed their reformation times strategically. The other enhancements—Mind Link, Hive Mind, and Soul Enhancement—offered a level of tactical flexibility he hadn't imagined.

His dimension's pristine air and vibrant landscapes felt invigorating, starkly contrasting with Earth. He took a deep breath, enjoying the clean, unpolluted atmosphere.

"Alright, time to see what you can do," he murmured, summoning a few of the Legion entities.

A group of spectral figures materialised before him, each one radiating a ghostly glow. Some took the form of tall, dark elves, while others took the form of bulky lizardmen.

Without wasting time, he activated Mind Link, his vision shifting as he perceived the world through their eyes. It was a strange yet exhilarating sensation, like having multiple viewpoints simultaneously. However, the sense-sharing didn't stop there; every one of the senses of the legion was being shared with Issei. Some sense sharing was greater than others, such as the dark elves' superior sight and the Lizardmen's superior hearing.

"Scout the area," he commanded mentally.

The Legion entities dispersed swiftly, each moving with a fluid grace that reflected their respective forms. The dark elves glided silently through the shadows, their keen eyes picking up minute details in the environment, while the lizardmen moved with a heavy, deliberate gait, their acute hearing picking up distant sounds.

Issei stood still, his mind awash with the sensory input from his scouts. The amalgamation of different senses was overwhelming at first, but he quickly adapted, sifting through the myriad sensations to focus on what was important.

He concentrated on the dark elves' vision, watching as they scoured the densely forested areas of his dimension. His world's vibrant flora and fauna came into sharp relief, each detail more vivid than anything he had seen on Earth. He then switched to the lizardmen, their enhanced hearing picking up the rustle of leaves and the sounds of nature itself.

Issei nodded his head, fascinated by the upgraded ability. "Interesting," he mused, as he didn't have such an option before upgrading his ability.

He activated Hive Mind next, feeling the connection between all entities deepens. He could direct them with just a thought, and they executed his commands with precise efficiency.

As the scouts continued their reconnaissance, Issei focused on the Soul Enhancement feature. Selecting one of the lizardmen, he channelled energy into the entity. Its form glowed brighter, muscles bulging and scales hardening as it grew stronger.

"Impressive," Issei noted, watching the enhanced lizardman move with increased speed and power. He could envision countless scenarios where this boost would be invaluable.

Issei chuckles a bit, "Not sure why, but this week feels really rewarding", he says to himself, thinking about everything he has gained this week.

He then feels multiple presences behind him and turns around, seeing it is the elemental sprites that he put in charge of the construction of this world. He notices that they have evolved and become more powerful than when he created them initially.

"I guess 5000 years would've had an effect on them, with all the constant work they have been putting in." Issei mused to himself.

"Have you finished with everything I asked?" he asked the spirits, expecting them to nod in confirmation. However, to his shock, something unexpected happened.

The water sprite stepped forward, "Yes, master, we finished everything", it spoke in a calm and collected voice.

Issei raised an eyebrow, "When did you gain the ability to speak?" he asked, a bit peeved at the fact the elemental sprites could speak.

The earth sprite stepped forward next, "We developed our own speech after the first 100 years, and from the books you left for us, we learnt the language you speak", it answered, its tone gruff.

Issei's mind raced with the implications of the elemental sprites' newfound abilities. The ability to speak and learn from books suggested a level of intelligence and autonomy he hadn't anticipated. He had always considered the sprites as extensions of his will, but now they were showing signs of independent thought and development.

"Interesting," he said, his tone a mix of curiosity and caution. "It seems you all have grown in ways I didn't foresee. This changes things."

The fire sprite stepped forward with a flickering form that seemed almost volatile. "We evolved to better serve you, master. Our increased intelligence and abilities are the result of centuries of work and adaptation."

Issei nodded slowly, absorbing this new information. "Well, your progress is impressive. Take me to my personal area," he commands.

Instantly, all the sprites rush towards Issei and circle him rapidly; after a few seconds, they stop and land in front of him again. Issei noticed that he was now in a different area.

Issei turns around and sees a castle that looks like his own, except it is much bigger and grander. What was once a six-story castle has now become an 11-story castle, fitted with all types of sections.

He looks over the hill and sees the town that surrounded his castle and a vast open sea that led to other islands that were also a part of his area. In the distant skies, he can see multiple floating islands, some of which can occupy a single estate and some of which can occupy an entire city.

Issei looks around and sees something that shouldn't be there. He points in the direction to alert the sprites.

"What's that?" he asked, pointing to the large tower that soars past the clouds. He was confused because he didn't ask the sprites to build this for him.

The air sprite, floating in the air, responded, "Master, that white-haired Master asked us to build that entire section for you", it replied.

Issei's eyes narrow, "White-haired Master?" he reiterates, knowing they were talking about Dark-sei.

Issei leaps from the ground with tremendous force and flies towards the tower. On his way there, he sees an entire section that wasn't on his blueprints for the sprites to follow, which means that Dark-sei altered his plans.

As he flies over the section, he sees multiple islands with different types of buildings, such as a Pyramid, Colosseum, and Ruins. These things confused Issei, wondering what Dark-sei was planning.

He lands before the giant tower and sees it is much bigger than he thought. His head tilts as his gaze follows the structure's height towards the section in the clouds; giant chains come from the tower and attach themselves to the land it occupies.

"Like it? I made these sections specifically for you," a voice said from behind.

Knowing the voice, Issei sighed, annoyed, and turned around to see Dark-sei. But what caught Issei's attention the most was Dark-sei's hair; just like how Issei had a streak of white hair in his black hair, Dark-sei had the polar opposite, a streak of black hair in his white hair.

Issei clenched his jaw, "What is the meaning of this?" he snarled out.

Dark-sei just scoffed, "I built an advanced training section for you, and this is the thanks I get? Some people are truly grateful," he said unbothered.

"I'll get to that later; I'm talking about our hair. What's with the streak?" Issei asked with narrowed eyes.

Dark-sei grinned maliciously, "The price of power, partner. I am you, and you are me. You and I are cut off from the same cloth", he said cryptically.

Issei's eyes remained narrowed, his frustration barely contained. The cryptic nature of Dark-sei's words did little to assuage his concerns. From what Great Red had told him about Dark-sei, he knew that Dark-sei was a higher dimensional being who existed before the current reality; his existence even eluded the powerful Great Red.

"Cut from the same cloth?" Issei repeated, his voice a mix of anger and curiosity. "What does that even mean? What are you planning?"

Dark-sei's grin widened, his eyes glinting with amusement and something more sinister. Instantly, he disappeared and reappeared in front of Issei, a movement so fast that not even Issei could follow.

Issei's eyes widen in shock, "Such speed!" he thinks.

Dark-sei's face got closer to Issei, his malevolent grin becoming a psychopathic ear-to-ear smile. "Partner, you of all people should know", he starts, his glowing red eyes staring into Issei's silver ones.

"When you stare into the Abyss, the Abyss stares back!" he continued in a low and chilling tone.

Before Issei can respond, a roar can be heard from the tower, and Issei's attention snaps towards the tower. He sees a large Cerberus growling at him with all three heads.

A confused look is etched onto Issei's face as he sees the beast.

"Ah, it looks like the guard woke up. Best you deal with it," Dark-sei says with a sweet yet sadistic tone before disappearing.

Issei looks toward Dark-sei, "Hey! Wait!" he shouts but sees that he has vanished; he doesn't have time to think as a jaw threatens to swallow him whole.

Issei dodges the bite and appears a reasonable distance away, "He was just at the entrance a second ago; for him to clear that distance means it is stronger than Fenrir when I fought him in Norway", he says to himself as Cerberus turns towards him and snarls.

He takes a good look at the beast, noting that each head has a different element associated with it. Its right head was lightning, the middle head was ice, and its left head was fire. The beast was also considerably large, large enough to swallow Issei by chewing him up first.

Issei then remembers he fought a Cerberus once; it was back when Kokabiel wanted to start a Great War. He now just realised that Cerberus was Hades's pet, and he lent them to the Warmonger.

"Damned bag of bones was working with the enemies since the start, and no one questioned him. I'm glad I put the bastard down." he thinks as he gets into a stance to fight the new threat.

The Cerberus raged at Issei and spewed a torrent of fire, ice, and lightning at him. In response, he jumped up to dodge, grabbed the middle head with its horn on the snout, flipped the beast over, and slammed it into the ground.

As Issei slammed the enormous Cerberus into the earth, the ground trembled from the impact. Dust and debris scattered in all directions, but the beast quickly recovered. With a growl that echoed through the dimension, Cerberus lunged again, each head snapping and snarling with its elemental fury.

A smirk grew on Issei's face, "Well, my morning workout wasn't as intense as I wanted. But here lies another great challenge", he says, admiring the tenacity of the beast before him.

As the Cerberus charged, Issei charged as well, and the two met in the centre; Issei threw a punch, and the Cerberus swiped its sharp taloned paw. The two attacks collided and caused a shockwave, shaking the ground they battled on.

The lightning head unleashed a barrage of electrical bolts, forcing Issei to dodge with agility. The fire head spewed flames, creating a sweltering heat that seared the air around them. The ice head, meanwhile, emitted a chilling frost, making the ground beneath Issei's feet slick and treacherous.

Issei activated his blood-red magic circle and used Vector Magic to levitate the Cerberus in the air, causing it to be suspended in mid-air.

[Ability Used: Elemental Manipulation: Elemental Creation: Light]

Holding a ball of light in his hand, Issei poured more energy into it, causing the ball of light to change colour. What was a bright yellow became invisible (ultraviolet) light; he then threw the ball of light to the ground underneath the Cerberusm. Upon contact with the ground, the ball became a pillar of light that completely engulfed the Cerberus in an invisible light.

The Cerberus howled in agony as the invisible light scorched its body, the ultraviolet rays tearing through its defences mercilessly. Issei watched the beast writhe within the pillar of light, noting how the once formidable foe now seemed vulnerable and desperate.

The Cerberus struggled against the light, its elemental heads firing off one last desperate barrage of attacks. Lightning bolts cracked through the air, ice shards shot forth, and flames roared. But the intensity of Issei's ultraviolet light overwhelmed each elemental strike, reducing them to mere sparks and puffs of smoke.

Finally, the Cerberus collapsed with a tremendous roar that echoed through the dimension. Its massive form hit the ground with a resounding thud, defeated and subdued. The pillar of light dissipated, leaving the charred and beaten beast lying motionless on the ground.

But before Issei could sigh in victory, the area around him became dark and shadowy. Confused, he looked up and saw a giant meteor falling onto him out of the sky.

His eyes widen, releasing the roars and howls of Cerberus, which wasn't out of desperation but rather summoning a meteor. "Shit, that might do a considerable amount of damage", he mutters to himself as he jumps towards the falling meteor, activating his balance breaker.

WELSH DRAGON BALANCE BREAKER

[Stats have increased 2x due to Scale Mail Activation]

[Stats have been increased by 50% due to Demon Eyes Stage 2]

The black armour coats his body, increasing his stats. He raised his hand upwards, thinking of the best way to take out the meteor without the debris of the meteor scattering, destroying his newly built world.

He first used his Vector Magic to stop the motion of the meteor before using his Entropy Magic to decay the Meteor. The meteor's momentum slowed gradually as Issei redirected its kinetic energy, halting its descent. Then, the rock began to decay and crumble, disintegrating into dust and harmless particles. The process was rapid yet controlled, ensuring no debris was left to harm his newly built world.

As the last remnants of the meteor dissolved into nothingness, Issei let out a sigh of relief. But then a roar alerted him; he looked down to see the Cerberus had been healed. However, that wasn't the end of it. Two large reptilian wings appeared from the Cerberus's back.

"Please, tell me those are just novelty..." Issei mutters, seeing the wings, but to his annoyance, it wasn't.

Cereberus leapt from the ground and flew straight toward Issei, roaring, growling and howling, clearly enraged by Issei's ultraviolet attack.

Issei groaned internally, "Great, it can fly now..." he said as he lept down towards it.

Issei and the winged Cerberus clashed in a flurry of aerial maneuvers and elemental attacks. The beast's newfound wings granted it swift and agile movements through the air. At the same time, Issei relied on his enhanced abilities and combat instincts honed through countless battles.

The Cerberus snapped at Issei with its elemental heads, each one unleashing a torrent of fire, ice, and lightning. Issei dodged and weaved through the onslaught.

As they fought, Issei noticed something, "Seems like it has gotten stronger after healing itself. Is this some kind of second-stage fight?" he wondered.

Issei grabbed Cerberus by its leg and swung it around at a high rotation before throwing him into the tower. Cerberus flew head-first into the tower, its three heads smashing into the structure, causing them to be embedded.

Cerberus struggled to pull its head out of the tower; at the same moment, Issei flew from the top of the tower down towards Cerberus at high speeds. Issei then kicked Cerberus, making the beast fall from the tower to the ground. As Cerberus hit the ground, Issei came down with a secondary attack and landed with tremendous force on Cerberus's prone body, causing the spider web to crack and making dust and debris fly all over.

The beast struggled to rise, its three heads snarling with renewed determination. Issei knew he couldn't afford to underestimate it, especially now that it had evolved further. Hence, he decided to end it here and now.

"I guess this will suffice; it was a good morning workout. Nothing too tiring or taxing... just enough to get the drowsiness out," he says as he watches the Cereberus charge up, its elemental power in its multiple heads.

Issei raised his left gauntlet, and the gem on his back was pulsating like a reactor.

BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!

OVERCHARGE!

Ddraig announced, and instantly, the accumulated boosts were transferred into Cerberus's attacks, causing them to overload and backfire on Cerberus.

The Cerberus's heads erupted in explosions of elemental power as the overcharged energy surged through its body. Lightning, fire, and ice exploded outward. Issei shielded himself from the blast, the shockwaves shaking the ground beneath him.

As the smoke cleared, Issei approached the fallen beast. The once fearsome Cerberus lay motionless, its heads now completely mutilated from being exploded from the inside.

[1 of 2 Keys for the Tower of Babylon]

Issei notices the last reward, "1 of 2 Keys of the Tower of Babylon?" he says out loud as a stone appears in his palm. He saw the stone cut in half, signifying why it's considered '1 of 2'.

He then looks up at the Tower, now learning its name "Tower of Babylon, huh?" he says. "I need to find the second key," he murmured as he looked at the large, imposing tower. If he wanted to enter the tower, he needed to find the other key.

Issei then looked at the corpse of Cerberus, seeing it as an opportunity to get another legion and weapon. He held out his hand as he activated his unique ability.

[Ability Used: Legion Manipulation: Soul Corrpution]

The soul of the Cerberus flew in front of Issei in the form of an orb; the soul was at first blue and white; however, when Issei touched it, it became red and black. The black and red orb then transformed into the Cerberus he had just fought.

Issei's Castle

Issei was sitting in his throne room, hitting the Doctor Doom pose, one elbow resting on the armrest, and his chin propped on his knuckles. His throne was a formidable seat made of various weapons—swords, spears, and axes—forming an intricate and intimidating structure. The steps leading up to his chair were lined with skulls of various creatures, each lit with an eternal flame that cast eerie shadows around the room.

Despite his queries about Dark-sei and his existence, he had other things to consider, such as the mystery of his dimension. Göndul had explained to him how different dimensions and worlds coexist.

She explained by getting a map of the world and drawing a grid on it. Each square of the grid represented a different Pantheon; their unique realms existed in the same grid.

For example;

India holds the Hindu Pantheon and their unique realms, such as the 7 Upper Worlds, known as Vyahrtis and 7 Lower Worlds, known as Patalas.

Northern Europe holds the Norse Pantheon and their unique realms, the 9 Realms.

Greece holds the Greek Pantheon and its unique realms, such as Olympus and Tartaros etc.

Göndul then explained that the dimensional gap separated each world from existing within one another. Without the dimensional gap, all the worlds would converge onto Earth, causing cataclysmic damage.

This is where it got tricky for Issei; his very own dimension did not exist in the dimensional gap. Instead, it seemed like his dimension existed in a completely different space.

This led Issei to theorise that there were two-dimensional gaps, the first of which separate different worlds from one another, such as the Underworld and Heaven, and the second of which separate different realities. An intra-dimensional gap and inter-dimensional gap, if you will.

With this revelation, Issei was under the hypothesis that his very own dimension existed, its own unique reality. To prove his hypothesis right or wrong, Issei asked the system. Hopefully, this wasn't one of the information that Dark-sei kept from him.

"System, where exactly does my dimension exist?" Issei asked.

[Your Dimension is unique as it is a multicomplex domain that exists between various fundamental concepts simultaneously]

[These concepts are Reality & Dream, Existence & Nonexistence, Nothingness & Completeness, Creation & Destruction, Beginning & End and Infinite & Finite]

"So, my dimension is a nexus of sorts," Issei mused, his voice echoing through the grand hall. "A place that exists in the intersection of extremes. No wonder it's unlike any other realm."

He then rose from his throne room, heading towards the main hall which held the elevator. He steps into the elevator and presses the floor on which his bedroom is located.

"There are also other things that I need to figure out with this dimension," he says as the elevator rises. "Due to becoming a planet, I need to work out the day and night cycle, weather, and the days in a year. And there's the matter of the sun and moon."

As the elevator made its way up, deciding to ask the system about something. "System, how much control do you have over my dimension?"

[I have significant control over the various aspects of your dimension. This includes but is not limited to: the manipulation of time cycles (day and night), weather patterns, and the creation and positioning of celestial bodies like the sun and moon.]

Issei nodded thoughtfully as the elevator continued to go up. "Can you manage such a variable despite this planet being significantly bigger than Earth? Can you emulate it and mimic the conditions found on Earth?" he asked.

[Affirmative. Despite the larger size of your planet, I can emulate and mimic the conditions found on Earth, including the gravitational pull, atmospheric composition, and environmental cycles. Adjustments will be made to ensure a balanced and habitable ecosystem across the entire planet.]

Issei smirked, "Good", he replied as the elevator door opened and he walked down the large hallway to his Bedroom.

X

Issei left his dimension and returned to his temporary apartment; he was on his way, locking the door. As he was doing so, he felt a familiar presence.

He turned around to see a pair of green eyes and cherry blossom hair. It was Roygun, the new school nurse whose office was across Issei's; she coincidently lived in the apartment across his.

Roygun, seeing Issei, chuckled a bit. "Oh dear, I really hope you living across me isn't a bad omen." she started the conversation teasingly.

Issei knows she was referring to her apartment, which Issei destroyed in the Underworld when he fought the Hero Faction. "Well, I can't promise anything", he replied with a chuckle.

Roygun laughed, her green eyes sparkling with amusement. "And pray tell, why are you staying here of all places?" she asked, her tone light and teasing.

Issei rubbed the back of his head, "My current place of residence is currently under construction", he answered.

Roygun raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Under construction? Did you perhaps destroy your place as well?" she asked in the same tone.

Issei chuckled lightly, "No, nothing of that sort, just expanding here and there", he replied.

Roygun held her hand to her mouth and let out a giggle, "Sure, I'll take your word for it", she replied, not convinced.

The two left their apartment building and started walking to Kuoh Academy. On the way there, the two talked.

"So, what did you do in the Underworld before coming here?" Issei asked as he turned his head towards Roygun.

Roygun rested her finger on her chin, thinking about Issei's question. "Well, I had multiple outlets of income from investment. Aside from that, I really enjoyed watching Rating Games," she answered.

Issei nodded in understanding, "I see, Rating Games", he echoed, thinking about the last Rating Game he was in.

"You thinking of joining anytime soon?" she asked.

Issei shook his head, "No, I don't think I will; I don't work well with others if I'm not in charge. Besides, with the way my last Rating Game ended, I don't think anyone would allow me to participate", he explained.

Roygun swallowed a lump, remembering that it was a one-sided slaughter when Issei fought against the Bael Peerage, specifically when he fought Sairaorg and left him in a bloody heap.

"If you don't mind me asking, why did you go that far?" she asked, wanting to know the reason.

Issei sighed, "Well, aside from being jaded and in complete isolation with my own thoughts for almost two years." he starts. "I sensed Sairaorg's true intentions. Despite showing a face of humility, he wanted to use my defeat by his hands to boost his own reputation. The supposed failure of the Bael Clan taking down the current Red Dragon Emperor- or rather former, would've given him the recognition he wanted." he answered.

"I guess deep down, there was a part of me that was ticked off that he thought he had a chance against me. Even if I had the Boosted Gear, to use my downfall as a chance to elevate himself, despite me only being introduced to the supernatural world only a few months prior while he's been in the game his whole life, it's honestly pitiful," he explained.

"The more I think about it, I was really the underdog in that fight. Despite not being able to use Power of Destruction, he was still a pure devil with years of experience on me. On top of that, he hid the fact that he had the Nemean Lion on his side, a secret that went against the Kuoh Treaty for sharing information on Longinuses. Then there was me; I didn't have a strong body like his or a favourable lineage. I was a mere reincarnated Devil with only a few months of experience, and my ability to use the Boosted Gear was subpar at best. I was fated to lose had it not been for my two-year training prior." Issei contemplated.

Roygun listened intently, her expression softening as Issei revealed his inner turmoil. "I see," she said thoughtfully. "It must have been difficult being isolated like that and feeling like you were being used as a stepping stone... I can see why that would anger you," she said

Issei nodded, "It was at first, but I am thankful for that experience. I learnt more about myself than I thought and even improved further than I imagined. After all, diamonds can only be formed under pressure", he replied.

Roygun smiled, her eyes reflecting a mix of empathy and admiration. "That's a wise perspective, Issei. It's rare to see someone turn such a difficult experience into a source of strength."

Issei returned the smile, "Thanks, Roygun. How about you? You planning on joining a Rating Game?" he asked curiously.

Roygun, hearing the question, looked away, "Uh, no. I don't have any current plans", she replied hastily, although Issei could sense the shame and regret coming from her.

"Something must've happened in one of her Matches; perhaps she lost?" Issei thought.

"I see," he replied. Issei then decided to change the subject, "I went to the Underworld yesterday. The places where I fought have been rebuilding at such a quick pace. I would've given you an update on your apartment area, but I didn't know where you lived," he said.

Roygun's lips curled into a mischievous smile. "Oh, is that so? Well, you knew my new apartment was; I'm not convinced that you don't know where my old one was," she teased, a twinkle in her eyes.

Issei chuckled lightly, "Believe me, I had no idea that you lived in that apartment, let alone across my own", he replied.

Roygun's mischievous smile widened as she leaned closer to Issei, her voice dropping to a playful whisper. "So you're saying it is just a coincidence that you just happened to have an apartment directly across mine? Just like how your counsellor's office is directly across from my nurse's office? I didn't take you as the stalker type, Issei."

Issei's smirk grew a bit, "Perhaps someone has been watching the 'You' series recently", he implied playfully.

Roygun let out a hearty laugh, "Maybe I have," she admitted with a wink.

The two continued their walk towards Kuoh Academy, the early morning sun casting long shadows across the path. As they walked, Issei noticed something amiss on Roygun's head. His sharp eyes could pick up on an illusion placed on her head.

His eyes start glowing red to see what the actual image is. Due to the upgrade to his eyes, he was able to see through illusions, something which wasn't possible before, like when he fought the Valkryie of Illusions in Norway.

When his eyes are on Roygun's head, he sees horns on her head, which protrude forward. She was using illusion magic to hide her horns from everyone who wasn't supernatural.

Issei raised his eyebrow in interest, "Horns? That's a first; I don't think I've met a devil with horns before", he thought to himself.

As they reached the school gates, they walked into their shared building. Roygun unlocked the nurse's office while Issei unlocked the counsellor's office.

Roygun turned to Issei. "Well, it's been nice chatting with you, Issei. Maybe we can continue this conversation later?"

Issei nodded. "Sure thing, Roygun. I'll see you around," he replied as he walked into his office while Roygun entered hers.

Around Mid-day

Gambling Club

Issei sat on the couch in the second story of his club. His legs were on the coffee table, and his head stretched back. Usually, he would have clients, but being upfront and blunt when solving other people's problems serves its values.

So, the lack of clients gave him a few hours of spare time to spend on himself. His eyes were glowing red as he watched the Legion in his dimension do the tasks he had assigned from their point of view.

Lizard men were harvesting resources; Elves were doing the house chores, and dwarves were cleaning the armoury and doing weapons maintenance. Seeing this, Issei smirked, amused by the production in his new dimension.

"If there's one thing I'm glad about, this week is fairly quiet compared to the last two weeks. I hope this quietness lasts for at least a month," he says to himself.

At this moment, Issei had jinxed himself, and soon, he was going to eat those words.

He then remembered he had the meeting with the Greek Pantheon tomorrow and scowled, his good mood ruined. He leaned forward on the couch, activating the Boosted Gear in his left hand. He turned the arm over to where the palms were facing up; a hologram shot upwards from the centre of his palm.

He recalls the fight with Cao Cao with his new Scale Mail, which analyses his opponent and adapts the Scale Mail to counter the opponent.

"Show me all the adaptions which were made, exclude the adaptions about fighting style analysis", Issei commands.

Instantly, the hologram starts to list all the adaptations from his fight with Cao Cao.

1st Adaptation: Black Mirror Armour

To reflect the gaze of Medusa's eye back onto Cao Cao, the Scale Mail's armour became reflective.

2nd Adaptation: Vibration Absorbment and Energy Redirection Armour

To counter the destructive General Treasure of Cao Cao, the Scale Mail's armour absorbed vibration and redirected energy to counter the explosive nature.

3rd Adaptation: Point of Contact Defensive

To counter the attacks of True Loginus, the Scale Mail's armour directed all energy to the point of contact of an attack to stop the attack from destroying the armour.

Issei nodded in understanding; the last two adaptations would be effective for his other Scale Mail. "Hey, Ddraig" he calls out.

The red gem on the Boosted Gear started glowing, signifying that he was now awake. "Yes, partner?" his booming voice asks from the gauntlet.

"I'm planning on changing the base Scale Mail up a bit, "Issei states.

Ddraig, hearing the statement, hummed in interest. "The base Scale Mail? That's something you've never done before. You usually just create a new Scale Mail entirely. What changes do you wish for?" he asked.

Issei looked up in contemplation, "Well, first of all, I would like to make the Scale Mail less bulky. It was bulky in my smaller body, and now, in my bigger body, it's even more bulky", he answered.

"So you would like less armour?" Ddraig asked.

Issei shook his head, "Not less armour, per se, but rather compress the bulk down to the more slim fitting armour", he explained.

Ddraig hummed in thought, "Sounds practical, but the crumple zones of the bulky armour are still factors that you need to consider," he advised.

Issei smirked, "That's where the 2nd and 3rd Adaptation comes in. The new Scale Mail will absorb all vibrations and redirect all energy. On top of that, it will harden at the point of contact when attacked", he answered.

Ddraig hummed in approval. "An intriguing approach. This will allow for both enhanced mobility and durability. Anything else you wish to include in this new version?" he asked.

Issei leaned back, his fingers drumming thoughtfully on the couch's armrest. "Yeah, I wish to make the material of the Scale Mail similar to the material of Graphene, Dragonised Graphene, to be exact." he finalised.

Ddraig's interest was piqued, "Dragonised Graphene? That's a highly advanced material, combining the strength and flexibility of graphene with the innate durability and resilience of dragon scales. This will indeed elevate the Scale Mail to a new level of performance." he analyses.

Issei nodded, "Exactly. It will be light yet incredibly strong, allowing for maximum mobility without compromising on defence. Plus, it will enhance the energy absorption and redirection capabilities." he replied.

Suddenly, the speaker in his Clubhouse goes off.

"Issei Hyoudou, can you please come to the Counsellor's Office?" the lady on the PA announces.

Issei's head perks up in confusion, "Me at the Counsellor's Office? Why? I don't have any clients currently", he says in utter confusion.

Issei let out a rough sigh as he stood up and walked to the school's main building, towards his office.

X

"Oh what the fuck..." Issei mutters under his breath as he sees the scene before him.

As he opened his office door, he saw the entire Gremory family in his office. Venelana sat at his desk, and Zeoticus sat on the couch in front of the desk. Sirzechs and Grayfia stood to the side in front of the bookshelves while Millicas sat on the one-person couch adjacent to the one Zeoticus sat on.

And the cherry on top was Rias, who was sitting on the couch opposite her father. Each of them looked at him with varying facial expressions.

Issei looked at the eyes of the participant in the room before speaking, "What is the meaning of this?" he asked sternly.

Venelana was the one who spoke up, "Ah, Issei, it's been a while since we talked. Please take a seat next to Rias", she asked in a sickly sweet tone, which caused everyone in the room to tense up.

Unfazed by the tone, Issei narrowed his eyes, "Why?" he asked.

Venelana smiled, her eyes now closed. "Well, this is the Counsellor's Office; I think it's about time that Rias and yourself go through couple's counselling", she answered in the same tone.

Hearing the statement, Issei almost coughed on his spit before scoffing. "I have better things to do", he says in an annoyed tone, turning around to leave.

Everyone in the room's eyes widen at Venelana being shut down; the woman in question narrows her eyes. On the other hand, Rias imitated the expression of a startled deer; her usual confident demeanour was replaced by uncertainty and frustration.

"Issei, wait!" Rias called out, standing up quickly. "We need to talk. Please."

Issei brushed off her words and continued to walk out of the office. However, the moment he stepped one foot out of the doorway, Venelana spoke again.

"I'm not sure you know this, Issei, but my husband and I are in the school administration. That means we can not only fire anyone we deem necessary or disband any club we find inappropriate. For example, the School Guidance Counsellor or a Club about excess money-wasting," she says with a cunning undertone.

Hearing this, Issei stopped in his tracks. At the same time, everyone in the room tensed up from Venelana, threatening the most unpredictable and dangerous person in existence.

Issei's face was still hidden from the rest, but if anyone were in front of him, they would've seen his face contort in irritation and his eyes flashing red. But there was a part of him who was impressed by Venelana's boldness; knowing what Issei was capable of, she still chose to challenge him. Perhaps it's because her Super Devil of a Son was in the same room as them.

Issei took a deep breath, suppressing the surge of anger that threatened to spill over. He turned around slowly, his eyes narrowing as he faced Venelana. The room felt tense; everyone held their breath in anticipation of his next move. Issei knew that if he allowed his privileges to be taken away from him, it would ruin a lot of his future plans.

Issei then silently walked over to the couch Rias sat on and decided to sit on the opposite end. Happy that Issei agreed to stay and listen, Rias tried to move closer to Issei, only for him to place a cushion between himself and Rias to stop her from moving closer.

Venelana's smile was sharp, a mix of satisfaction and hidden anxiety. Zeoticus watched his wife and Issei with a neutral expression, but there was a flicker of concern in his eyes. Sirzechs and Grayfia stood stoically, their postures conveying readiness for sudden outbursts, while Milicas observed the scene with wide-eyed curiosity.

Rias, trying to mask her hurt, cleared her throat. "Thank you for agreeing to stay, Issei. We need to clear the air between us," she says.

Issei crossed his arms, his expression cold. "Get to the point. I don't have all day.", he replied.

Venelana took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "I know things have been difficult between you and Rias. There are many misunderstandings and unresolved issues. I want us to talk about them, to find some common ground." she explained.

Zeoticus, who had been silent till now, spoke up. "Issei, care deeply about you and Rias's wellbeing", he starts.

Issei rolled his eyes, "You mean you care about your daughter's wellbeing", he said internally.

"So, as a father, it is troubling seeing my daughter lose herself mentally and emotionally trying to fix things with you when you don't reciprocate those thoughts." Zeoticus finishes.

Issei's eyes narrowed at Zeoticus's words, "And what exactly do you expect from me?" he asked, his tone icy. "I've been clear about my feelings and intentions. I'm not going to be guilt-tripped into something I'm not interested in."

Venelana's smile faltered slightly, but she maintained her composure. "We understand your position, Issei, but relationships are about compromise. Rias has made mistakes, and so have you. This session is about finding a way forward, not just for Rias's sake, but for yours as well."

Issei leaned back, crossing his arms. "Fine. Let's talk. But understand this: I'm not here to placate anyone or bend over backwards. If you want honesty, you'll get it."

Rias took a deep breath, clearly struggling to find the right words. "Issei, I know I've hurt you. I was foolish and naive, and I made decisions that were selfish and thoughtless. I regret them deeply, and I'm sorry." she said solemnly.

Issei sighed, annoyed. "All this started because I didn't call you by your name, an issue which would've easily been fixed", he states firmly. "Seriously, how hard is it for too you to say, 'Please call me by my name from now on'?"

Rias looked down, her hands clenched in her lap. "I know, Issei. It was such a small thing, and I blew it out of proportion. I should have communicated better, and I didn't. I've learned from that mistake." she replied.

Issei scoffed, "Wouldn't be the first thing you flew out of proportion, and I highly doubt it is the last," he said with irritation.

Rias's eyes flashed with frustration, her hands tightening into fists. "That's not fair, Issei! Yes, I made mistakes, but so did you. You shut me out, you refused to communicate, and you let your anger fester. We both played a part in this mess." she practically shouted.

Issei's expression darkened, his jaw clenched. "Do you want to know what your problem is? You're not trying to fix the relationship; you're trying to fix me," he states in an irritated tone.

Rias eyes widen in shock, "Issei? What?" she muttered.

Issei turns his head to face Rias, "I see the way you look at me, like I'm some pet project that needs to be fixed, thinking that somewhere inside of me, there is the old me waiting to be liberated. Well, let me tell you something: that old version of me is dead, gone in the wind, and erased from existence. So stop trying to change me," he stated.

Rias's eyes filled with hurt and confusion as she struggled to find her voice. "Issei, that's not true. I don't see you as a project. I care about you... deeply. I just want to understand you and help you heal." she explained.

Issei shook his head, his frustration boiling over. "You still don't get it, do you? I'm not broken, Rias. I'm not something that needs to be 'healed' or 'fixed'. This is who I am now. Accept it or don't, but stop trying to mould me into what you want me to be." he says.

"And if you still don't understand, let me explain to you; I like who I am, and I like being who I am. This version of me is much superior to the old me tenfold. The old wouldn't have been able to save you from the Hero Faction in the artificial dimension. The old me wouldn't have been able to save the entire Underworld singlehandedly. The old me wouldn't been able to kill Hades. So with all this and more, why would I ever return to old me?" Issei asks rhetorically.

Rias started to argue, her voice trembling with emotion. "Issei, I understand that you've become stronger and more capable, but that doesn't mean you have to shut everyone out. You've isolated yourself, and that's not healthy. We used to be a team, a family. We fought together, laughed together, and supported each other. I just want us to find a way back to that, even if it's different now."

Issei's eyes narrowed further, his patience wearing thin. "You don't understand, Rias. It's not just about strength. It's about control. I've been through hell and back, and I've learned that the only person I can rely on is myself. Trusting others, letting them in—that's what got me hurt in the first place."

Rias then glared at Issei, "You say all this, yet you've been galavanting around with another girl. So much for not letting anyone in", she scoffs.

Issei rubs the bridge of his nose, fed up. "This shit again?" he says in a tired tone.

Rias smacks the couch the two were sitting on, making the cushion fly up. "Don't you dare be dismissive of this again!" she shouted.

Zeoticus raised an eyebrow at his, "Issei, you have a lover?" he asked, a bit curious.

Before Issei could reply, Rias spoke first. "Yes, Father, her name is Rose!" she exposed like a child telling on another child.

Zeoticus's eyes widened in surprise. "Rose? And who is this Rose?" he inquired, looking between Issei and Rias.

Issei clenched his jaw, clearly annoyed by Rias's outburst. "Rose is a friend and ally. She has nothing to do with this conversation," he stated firmly, not wanting to reveal his relationship with Rossweisse.

Rias scoffed, her frustration evident. "Nothing to do with this? You've been spending all your time with her while ignoring everyone else. How is that not relevant?" she argued.

Issei snorted, "Because, Rias, unlike you, Rose doesn't try to change me. She accepts me for who I am. She understands that I don't need fixing."

Rias's face flushed with anger, her voice rising. "So that's it? So why did you have sex with Akeno?" she demanded.

Everyone's eyes widened except for Issei; Millicas in the corner had this jaw hanging loose from the information.

Venelana's head snapped towards Issei, "Issei, is this true?" she asked.

Once again, before Issei responded, Rias spoke, "Yes! It is! She came to Issei for counselling, and she left with a hickey!" she snitches.

Issei's gaze turned over to Rias, "Does your jealousy run so deep that you try and sabotage what I have?" he asked in a dismissive tone.

Rias's face twisted with a mixture of anger and pain. "Sabotage? Is that what you think this is? I'm not trying to ruin what you have; I'm trying to understand why you keep pushing everyone who cares about you away while letting someone else in so easily!" she shouted.

Issei looks away for a bit, "Akeno... is a different case..." he says in thought.

Rias's eyes narrow at the statement, "How is she any different than me?! Are almost the same person!" she rebuts.

"Annoying and easily jealous? I agree," Issei says dismissively.

Rias was seething with frustration, her emotions cascading into anger. "You're impossible, Issei! Always deflecting, always avoiding the real issue. Akeno, Rose—how many more are there? Are you just going to keep running away from facing us?" she demanded, her voice cracking with hurt.

Issei then looks towards the parents, "You see? This is what I have to deal with. Sir and Madam Gremory, with all due respect, you raised a spoilt brat", he says harshly.

The room fell into a stunned silence. Venelana's eyes narrowed slightly, but she kept her composure.

Zeoticus, however, was less restrained, his expression hardening. "Issei, that's uncalled for," he said sternly. "We're here to find a resolution, not to exchange insults."

Issei sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose again. "I apologise if my words were harsh, but it's the truth. Rias needs to understand that she can't always have things her way, and she needs to respect my boundaries."

Rias's face twisted with a mixture of hurt and anger. "Boundaries? You mean the walls you've built around yourself? How are we supposed to help you if you keep pushing us away?"

Issei's eyes flicked back to Rias, his expression cold. "I don't need your help, Rias. I need you to respect my choices and stop trying to control my life."

Venelana spoke up this time, deciding to comment on the issue Rias brought up. "Issei, you are a teacher at this school. It is illegal for you to have any inappropriate relationships with any students here", she scolded strictly.

Issei didn't say anything, as he knew he was in the wrong when he did his thing with Akeno.

"And don't think I haven't forgotten when you insulted by Clan", Venelana says with narrowed eyes.

Issei raised an eyebrow in confusion, "I don't remember insulting the Gremory Clan", he replies.

"I was talking about the Bael Clan; in your first Trial, you said some things to my brother, and you insulted the Bael Clan," Venelana explained.

"I did? I don't remember... then again if it's Lord Bael... I should accept any inconvenience that happens to him as my own," Issei thinks.

Issei sighed, "Well, forgive me for whatever hurtful words I might have said, but in my defence, your brother is quite the twat", he said bluntly.

Venelana's eyes flashed with fury at Issei's blunt response. "How dare you speak of my brother that way! He is the head of our clan and deserves respect," she retorted sharply, her Power of Destruction surging forward.

Everyone in the room, aside from Issei, tensed up from the aura release. Even Sirzechs, who is one of the strongest in the room, tensed up.

"Hell has no fury like the Matriach of the family", Issei thinks as he brushes off the aura casually, watching the other room participants shrink away from the devil woman.

Issei remained seated calmly, unaffected by Venelana's aura of Power of Destruction that surged forward. He met her furious gaze with a steady one of his own; his posture relaxed, but his expression firm.

"Respect is earned, not demanded," Issei replied evenly, his voice hinting at defiance. "And I don't give it blindly to anyone, regardless of their title."

Venelana's eyes narrowed at Issei's words, her lips forming a tight line. "You are testing my patience, Issei Hyoudou," she warned, her tone dangerous.

Zeoticus intervened, his voice calm yet authoritative. "Let's remain composed, Venelana. Issei, there's no need for further provocation."

Issei inclined his head slightly in acknowledgment, but his gaze didn't waver from Venelana. Issei was a second away from drowning the entire room with his own aura.

Issei leaned back on the couch, "Fine, forgive me for my words, Madam Bael - or Gremory, whatever you go by these days", he said.

Venelana's expression remained stern, though her aura subsided slightly as Issei acknowledged her. "Apology accepted," she replied curtly, her voice still carrying an edge.

Zeoticus sighs, now taking control of the situation. "Issei, do you hold resentment against Rias for leaving you outside the ORC clubhouse before you were ambushed and almost killed by those Devils?" he asked directly.

Issei looked at Zeoticus intently, pondering the situation. "No", he replied curtly.

Zeoticus raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by Issei's response. "No resentment at all? That event seemed to have been a turning point for you," he asked for confirmation.

Rias looked down, her hands trembling slightly. "I know I made a terrible mistake that day, Issei. I've regretted it every single day since."

Issei shrugged, his expression indifferent. "It was and still is, but had I not gone through such an event, I wouldn't have become the person I am today," he replied.

Zeoticus nodded thoughtfully. "I understand. Adversity shapes us in ways we often can't predict. But I still believe it's important to address the lingering issues between you and Rias. Ignoring them will only lead to further conflict." he explained.

Zeoticus then looked towards Rias, "And what you, Rias, what you want from Issei?" he asked.

Rias fidgeted with the hem of her skirt, clearly nervous. "I want to reconnect with Issei... it hurts seeing him with other people", she replied, still looking at her skirt.

Zeoticus nodded at her statement before turning his head to Issei, "Issei, what is stopping you from reconnecting with Rias. From what I know, you're known for being blunt and upfront. Please answer this seriously and without your usual smart-ass answers." he pledges.

Issei's face twitched from being called a smart ass; a particular Dragon in his soul huffed in agreement with the Patriarch of the Gremory Clan. Issei took a moment to ponder on the question, 'Why didn't he want to reconnect with Rias?'. Aside from not having the time or energy to attempt to reconnect, he didn't have an answer.

For a second, Issei wanted to say that he didn't have the time or energy to do so, but Zeoticus said no smart-assed answers.

"Nothing, there's nothing stopping me from reconnecting with Rias", Issei says with a defeated sigh.

Rias's eyes widened slightly at Issei's admission, a glimmer of hope flickering in her expression. "Then why haven't you tried, Issei? If there's nothing stopping you, what's holding you back?" she asked softly, her voice filled with genuine curiosity and a hint of desperation.

Issei looked to the side, in the direction of the window next to where Millicas sat, a streak of sunlight shining on his face over his left eye. "I don't know" he answers.

The room remained silent momentarily, the weight of Issei's admission hanging heavily in the air. Rias's eyes searched Issei's face, trying to understand the complexities behind his simple answer. Venelana, though still stern, seemed to soften slightly, realising that perhaps this was the most genuine response they had gotten from Issei all day.

Zeoticus leaned forward, his tone more conciliatory. "Issei, it sounds like there might be unresolved feelings or fears that you haven't fully confronted. It's understandable. You've been through a lot, and sometimes it's easier to shut down than to face those emotions."

Issei's gaze shifted back to Zeoticus, a bit of frustration in his eyes. "What makes you say that?" he asked.

Zeoticus regarded Issei thoughtfully. "Because, Issei, I've seen many warriors and leaders, including myself, go through similar struggles. It's a common defence mechanism. You've endured a lot, and it's natural to build walls to protect yourself. But those walls can also keep out the people who genuinely care about you." he explains.

Issei listened to Zeoticus's words, his expression unreadable as he absorbed the Patriarch's insight.

Sirzechs, who had been observing the conversation quietly, finally interjected. "Issei, I understand your reluctance to open up. Trust me, I've seen it in many of our kind, myself included. When you've faced adversity and been thrust into situations where strength and control are paramount, vulnerability can feel like a weakness." he said; his voice was calm and reassuring, yet he carried the weight of his experience as both a devil and a leader.

This is where the confusion comes in for Issei; why was he like this? Everyone else in the room, excluding Rias and Millicus, everyone else went through their problems. For example, in the Great War or the Devil War, they describe people who have lived through such events.

On the other hand, Issei didn't have as rough, even to the likes of Akeno, Koneko, Kiba and Asia. They suffered from a young age, while his suffering was merely two years; in fact, he lived a sheltered life. So why was he displaying such a mechanism?

That's when he remembered when he first activated Satanification when he fought Hades. There was a vision when he closed his eyes; it was of Rias.

Before him was Rias, tears streaming down her face and blood trickling from her mouth, tenderly, she cupped Issei's cheek, her eyes filled with love and sorrow.

"Issei, please, live, live for us," she whispered, her voice filled with affection tinged with pain. "Always remember, we love you. I love you. Farewell, my love," she said softly, her voice breaking before the light in her eyes faded away.

Issei's mind raced as more fragmented memories and emotions flooded his consciousness. The scenes replayed vividly in his mind, each one stirring a mix of confusion, sorrow, and a deep ache he couldn't quite place. He clenched his teeth, trying to anchor himself, but these memories weren't his.

He gripped the left side of his face, trying to process the bombardment of images. "Diabolos Dragon God..." Issei muttered aloud.

Anyone who looked at Issei saw his eyes glowing red from behind his fingers and his breath becoming visible.

Rias's concerned voice broke through his thoughts, cutting through the haze of memories. "Issei, are you alright?" she asked, her tone softer now, tinged with genuine worry.

Issei snapped back to reality, his eyes wide and sweating more than expected. He saw everyone's eyes looking at him with concern and worry. He looked towards Rias, the image of the current her flashed with the one which he just saw. But he quickly composed himself, his shoulders rolling back and his head held high.

Issei sighed, "I'm fine, just reliving a memory", he said to relieve the tension that had built up.

Venelana's expression softened slightly, concern evident in her eyes. "Issei, if there's something troubling you, you can talk to us about it. We're here to help," she said gently, her voice carrying warmth.

Issei shook his head, trying to clear the lingering images from his mind. "It's nothing that needs discussing right now," he replied curtly, his tone indicating he wasn't interested in further probing.

Venelana nodded, though the worry in her eyes remained. "Very well, Issei. Just know that we're here for you if you ever need to talk."

Issei gave a slight nod of acknowledgment but didn't say anything further, still trying to make sense of the influx of memories.

Zeoticus cleared his throat, sensing the need to return the conversation to a more neutral ground. "Let's take a step back for a moment. Issei, we all appreciate your willingness to be here and to engage in this conversation. It's clear that there are a lot of emotions and history at play. Maybe it would be helpful for everyone if we focused on finding common ground and understanding each other's perspectives." he explained.

Sirzechs nodded in agreement. "I think that's a good idea, Father. Issei, can you share with us what you think would be a first step towards mending your relationship with Rias? It doesn't have to be anything drastic, just something to start with." he suggests.

Issei thought for a moment, his gaze distant. But before he could reply, Rias spoke up.

"Perhaps you could train me?" she asked, hopeful.

Issei turns his gaze back to Rias, a bit intrigued. "Train you? Why?" he asked with his usual tone.

Rias crosses her arms, "You've been training everyone else. Rossweisse, Akeno, Kiba and you even gave Xenovia a book to learn from. Not to mention that you have promised Asia some books to help her. I think it's time you help me now," she explains.

Zeoticus oversaw the exchange, "Issei, training Rias could be a good way to start rebuilding trust and understanding between you two. It would give you both a common goal and a way to spend time together constructively." he says.

Sirzechs nodded in agreement. "And it would show Rias that you're willing to invest in her growth and wellbeing, which could go a long way in mending your relationship."

Issei looked at Rias, his eyes searching hers for any sign of hesitation or ulterior motive. "You sure? You know you can be a slave driver when training someone; I wouldn't want calluses forming your princess palms," he asks.

Rias's expression hardened with determination, "I can handle it," she replied firmly. "I want to become stronger, and I trust you to help me with that."

Issei snorts, "It's about time. Your Power of Destruction has a thick layer of dust on it; I pray it does not have any rust on it either," he replies. "Like seriously, you have the most potential out of your whole peerage, yet you waste it."

Rias's eyes flashed with frustration at Issei's words. "Issei! I have not gotten rusty!" she protests.

Issei leaned back on the couch, "Is that so? From what I know, your brother was killing Satan-level threats when he was younger than you. Did all the power skip a generation?" he asked casually, his eyes briefly glancing over to Sirzechs.

Sirzechs chuckled lightly at Issei's comment, "Issei, you know very well I'm not a normal Devil per se. But I agree, Rias has untapped potential, and perhaps training together could help her unlock it."

Rias's face flushed with embarrassment, "I'll show you, Issei. I'm not weak, and I'm not going to let my abilities go to waste."

Issei glances at Rias through the corner of his eyes, "You're right, I won't let such a powerful ability rot away." he remarks.

Zeoticus looked between them, a sense of relief washing over him. "It seems we have a plan. Issei, thank you for agreeing to train Rias. This is a step in the right direction."

Sirzechs nodded, his expression supportive. "Indeed. This could be a good opportunity for both of you to reconnect and rebuild trust."

Issei leaned back on the couch, his gaze is steady on Rias. "Alright, Rias. We'll start this Saturday morning. Be ready, because I won't be going easy on you. I'll pick you up from the Hyoudou Residence."

Rias raises an eyebrow, "Pick me up?" she asked curiously. "Where are you taking me?"

Issei looked at Rias sternly, "My dimension. It has been upgraded recently, and I have a new section for training someone intensely", he answered.

Rias's eyes widened slightly at Issei's revelation. "Your dimension? That sounds... intense," she remarked, trying to hide her nervousness.

Issei nodded. "It will be. But if you're serious about this, it's the best place to train without distractions or limitations," he explained.

Venelana's expression softened, a small smile playing on her lips. "I'm glad to see this. It may not be an immediate solution, but it's a start. Sometimes that's all we need," she says.

Sirzechs, in the corner, claps his hands, "Know that you have got this sorted; there are other matters that I need to discuss with Issei." he says.

Issei knew what this was about, "Is this about tomorrow, with the Greeks?" he asked.

Sirzechs nodded, "Yes, it is. I must say, they were baffled when you made a time of meeting on your terms and not theirs. I'm sure you must know how the Greeks felt about this", he explains.

Issei snorts, "Yeah, arrogant, always making themselves seem more important than they are", he replies.

Sirzechs chuckled lightly at Issei's comment. "Indeed, the Greeks can be quite... proud. But your assertiveness might have set the tone for a more balanced negotiation. Just be prepared; they're not used to being challenged."

Issei crossed his arms, his expression firm. "I've dealt with worse. I'll handle them," he says with confidence.

"Nonetheless, arrive at the Hyoudou Residence tomorrow, and we'll use a magic circle to send you to Mount Olympus", Sirzechs explained.

Issei nodded in understanding.

Sirzechs, however, still had things to say. "There's another meeting which will happen next week. We are getting visitors from Romania, vampires to be exact," he informed.

Issei raised an eyebrow, "Vampires? Do you they want assistance in that Civil War they are in?" he asked.

Sirzechs shrugged his shoulders, "We are unsure of their intentions, but that is the most likely request they may ask for," he answered.

"And you want me to be at this meeting as well?" Issei asks for clarification.

Sirzechs smiled, "Yes, it would be very much appreciated. Unless you have anything else going on."

Issei took a thinking pose before speaking, "I don't have anything big planned next week, so I'm free for now. Where is the meeting taking place?" he asked.

Rias was the one to respond, "It will be here at Kuoh Academy, in the ORC clubhouse. To be specific, the vampires asked for a meeting with me personally." she explained.

Issei turned his head towards Rias, saying, "A meeting with you? Why? The only connection I think of is Gasper".

Rias nodded, a thoughtful expression on her face. "That's what we're thinking as well. Gasper is a dhampir, and his presence in my peerage might be of particular interest to them," she says.

Issei's brow furrowed as he considered this, "Perhaps they wish for his assistance in their war. Who exactly is coming for the meeting?" he asked.

"It's a representative of the Carmilla Faction from House Karnstein", Rias answers.

Issei hummed thoughtfully, "So they have sub-factions within the greater faction. How interesting," he says.

Rias nodded, "Yes, the Carmilla Faction consists of the House of Carmilla, the House of Karnstein and the House of Vordenburg. The other faction is the Tepes Faction, which consists of the House of Tepes, the House of Vladi and the House of Manthar. Both Carmilla and Tepes are a part of the Royal Family," she explained.

"And why exactly are the two Royal Families fighting?" Issei asked.

Sirzechs, knowledgeable of the situation, spoke. "Several hundred years ago, the two families split from one another due to an argument. It was only recently they started their civil war," he explained.

Issei nodded, "I see", he replied to the new information.

Rias, remembering an event yesterday, shot up. "Issei! Why did you let Kuroka into the Hyoudou Residence?!" she exclaimed.

Issei glanced at Rias, his ears ringing a bit from her sudden out burst. "Oh that? I took Koneko to see her yesterday as she wanted to clear the air. And she told me she drew a magic circle when she was there last Saturday, and Kuroka asked if Le Fay and herself could use the onsen." he explained.

Rias looked incredulous. "And you just let them in? Do you realise how dangerous Kuroka can be?"

Issei shrugged, his demeanour unruffled. "Kuroka may be a troublemaker, but she's not a threat to us. Besides, it's my house, my rules. You best be grateful I don't make you pay rent, even if I don't live there anymore."

Sirzechs interjected, "Issei, you do know that Kuroka is Stray, who is wanted for killing her former master," he says with a bit of seriousness.

Issei sighed, "Yes, I know, but I also know why she did it", he explained.

Rias looked confused, "What do you mean? Why did she do it? She lost control of her power and went on a rampage, no?" she asked for clarification.

"Yesterday, I visited Kuroka and Koneko's old home and found documents about their former master performing unethical experiments to create his own Super Devils. When he wanted to experiment on Koneko, Kuroka killed him along with everyone else involved to keep her safe," Issei revealed.

Rias' eyes widened with shock and horror, "Experiments on Koneko? I had no idea. That's... that's terrible." she said.

Sirzechs nodded gravely. "That does shed a new light on Kuroka's actions. If what you say is true, Issei, then her motives were to protect her sister. Could you give me those documents, Issei?" he asked.

Issei nodded, "Sure, I'll give them to you", he said as his eyes flashed red, a mental command to his Legion in his dimension to start making copies of the documents.

Issei's mental command triggered an immediate response from his Legion, who swiftly began the process of creating copies of the documents from Kuroka and Koneko's old home.

Issei stood up, brushing off his pants. "I'll get those documents to you as soon as possible, Sirzechs. But for now, I have some things to take care of," he explains.

Sirzechs nodded appreciatively. "Thank you, Issei. Your efforts are appreciated. We'll review the documents thoroughly." he says

Issei turned to leave, glancing back at Rias one last time. "Remember, Saturday morning. Be ready." he says in a stern tone.

Rias nodded, still processing the information about Kuroka and Koneko's past. "I will. And thank you, Issei."

With that, Issei left his office; as he left, he failed to see Dark-sei leaning against the wall, watching him. His usual malevolent smirk was replaced with a frown, clearly not amused about a certain thing that occurred during the session.

Rias watched him go, a spark of hope in her heart. She knew there was still a long way to go, but for the first time in a long while, she felt like they were moving in the right direction. She turned to her parents and brother, a determined look on her face.

"Thank you for your support. I won't let you down," she said firmly.

Venelana nodded, "We know you won't, Rias. Just take it one step at a time." she voiced.

Zeoticus placed a hand on her shoulder. "You've made a good start. Now it's up to you and Issei to see it through," he said reassuringly.

Sirzechs smiled warmly. "And we'll be here to support you both every step of the way."

Rias took a deep breath, feeling a renewed sense of purpose. "Thank you. I'll make sure to give it my all."

With a newfound determination, Rias left the office, ready to face the challenges ahead and rebuild the relationship with the person she cared about most.

Venelana watched her daughter leave; seeing the happy look on her face made her smile. He then looked over to her son.

"I don't know how you convinced me to let Issei become the new Guidance Counsellor or start a Gambling Club, of all things," she says in an exasperated tone while rubbing the bridge of her nose.

Sirzechs chuckled softly, "Mother, Issei's unconventional and blunt approach might be exactly what the students need. As for the Gambling Club, it teaches strategy, risk assessment, and decision-making under pressure. Plus, it's supervised, so there's no real harm."

Venelana sighed, though a small smile tugged at her lips. "I suppose you have a point. Still, the idea of a Gambling Club in an academic setting is... unorthodox, to say the least."

Break Time

Issei was sat in his Clubhouse, reading his Grimoire, the Necronomicon. He hadn't realised it, but more pages were written, which he expected since the majority of the book was empty. But he could only wonder what caused these changes.

Reading through the book, he saw new information. The book had information on different realities and beings that exist on a higher plane of existence. He only thought the Necronomicon was a Grimoire that held the secrets to his magic, but now it had unlocked more interesting information.

As he was reading, he saw the Club Room door open, revealing Ravel, who was accompanied by Millicas.

"Hello, Issei. I brought Millicas along," Ravel greeted in her usual tone.

As he saw Millicas, he thanked his decision not to use his fight club today since he currently had high-tier Devils in the school as it would cause unnecessary attention and expose his true club.

"He was interested in seeing the new club in school", Ravel continued.

Issei glanced at Millicas, his sharp silver eyes staring into Millicas's red eyes. "Is that so? I'm surprised your mother allowed you to step into such a place," he says in his usual tone.

Millicas grinned, his enthusiasm unshaken by Issei's stern demeanour. "Mother trusts you, Issei. Besides, I'm curious to see what kind of club you've set up."

Issei then looked back down at his Grimoire, still concentrating on the new content. "I see. Well, be free to look around; if there's a game you want to play, let me know," he says.

Ravel smiled and nudged Millicas. "See? I told you he'd be fine with it. Now, let's explore a bit."

Millicas nodded eagerly and began to look around the room. The clubhouse was filled with various gaming tables, each designed for different gambling games—poker, blackjack, roulette, and even a few custom games Issei had devised himself. The atmosphere was luxurious and laid-back, perfect for the Gambling Club's unique environment.

Issei watched them briefly before returning his attention to the Necronomicon. The new pages intrigued him, offering insights into alternate realities and beings of immense power. As he read, a particular passage caught his eye, describing a ritual that could potentially open a portal to these higher planes of existence.

Millicas approached him, curiosity piqued by the ancient-looking book. "What are you reading, Issei? It looks... ominous," he spoke up.

Issei briefly glanced at Millicas, "It's because it is." he replied curtly.

Millicas looked closer at the book and saw characters he couldn't recognise. He was very gifted in terms of intellect but had no idea what language Issei was reading. "What language is that?" Millicas asked, a bit curious.

Issei moved the book slightly for Millicas to see, "Not sure", he replied truthfully, even though he didn't know what this language was; all he knew was that it was the same language as the other Grimoire he got from the system and that only he could read them.

Millicas raised an eyebrow, "Then how can you read them?" he asked.

Issei shrugged his shoulders, "I just can, apparently", he replied.

Millicas had a sceptical look on his face, "Can you tell me what this page says?" he said, pointing to the previous page.

Issei glanced at the page, "It talks about different realities which exist past our own and beings so powerful that they are incomprehensible. Even glancing at them is enough to drive someone insane", he articulates.

Millicas's eyes widened with a mixture of awe and fear. "Beings that powerful... that's incredible. And a bit scary," he admitted.

Issei nodded in understanding before his eyes were on the next page. "Over here, it talks about an entity that is currently sleeping. The reality we know, and other realities are merely her dreams, and when she wakes up, her dream ends and we and all other realities cease to exist," he explained.

Millicas swallowed hard, a shiver running down his spine. "That sounds terrifying," he said softly. "So, everything we know could just... disappear? This is all fiction, right?" he asked for reassurance.

Issei looked up at Millicas and smirked, "That's what I'm trying to figure out", he said in a sing-song tone.

Millicas took a step back, his mind racing with the implications of what Issei had just shared.

Ravel, who was listening to the conversation, intervened. "Issei! Stop being mean! Millicas will have nightmares!" she scolded.

Ravel, noticing the change in Millicas's demeanour, walked over and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Issei likes to dig into the darker and more mysterious aspects of magic and other realms. It's fascinating, but sometimes it's better not to dwell too much on the more terrifying possibilities," she reassured.

Millicas nodded slowly, taking comfort in Ravel's presence words. "I understand. It's just... a lot to take in," he said cautiously.

Issei chuckled, closing the Necronomicon, which then disappeared from existence. He then stood up, stretching his arms. "It is. But that's enough of the heavy stuff for now. How about we play a game?" he suggested, his tone lighter.

Millicas brightened at the idea. "Okay! Can we try that custom game you mentioned earlier?"

Issei grinned. "Sure thing. Let's see how well you do."

As they moved to one of the custom game tables, the atmosphere in the room shifted back to a more relaxed and enjoyable one. Issei explained the game's rules, which were a mix of strategy and luck, and soon, the three of them were immersed in the fun and challenge of it.

Next Day

The day of Friday was uneventful, much to Issei's surprise; he half expected Raynare to come back from the dead and kill him once more. Perhaps the uneventful day was a build-up of suspense towards his meeting with the Greeks.

It was now 6 pm, and Issei stood in the Hyoudou Residence basement; in front of him stood people who didn't expect to come along. Sirzechs, Serafall, Ajuka, Michael, Azazel, Odin and some guy named Shemhazai.

"Why are you people coming as well?" Issei asked suspiciously.

Azazel wrapped an arm around Issei's shoulder, "We're bodyguards", he explained jovially.

Hearing the statement, Issei scoffs. "I don't need bodyguards", he replied, annoyed.

Azazel smirked, "And who said anything about being your bodyguards?" he asked cheekily.

Issei turned his head to Azazel, "What?" he asked in confusion.

Serafall spoke, "We're here to make sure the meeting is as diplomatic as possible. And to ensure you don't burn down an entire Pantheon." she said in her usual tone.

Issei chuckled, "I'm glad you people think highly of me. But does it really require all of you to restrain me?" he asked, a bit peeved.

A collective 'Yes' resonated around the room.

"Issei, you do know that the Pantheons around the world are treating you as a Super Devil level threat, right?" Odin says in his grandfatherly tone.

Issei raised an eyebrow in intrigue, "Well, it's about damn time", he replied.

Odin chuckled, "Indeed, Issei. Your reputation precedes you, especially after the events on Saturday" He glanced around at the assembled group, a mixture of deities and influential figures from various factions.

Issei sighed dramatically, knowing he couldn't argue with the collective decision of the influential individuals standing before him. "Fine, fine. I'll behave," he relented.

Sirzechs stepped forward, his expression severe yet reassuring. "Issei, we understand your capabilities and your intentions, but this meeting is delicate. The Greeks are known for their pride, and we want to ensure everything goes smoothly. Your assertiveness is valuable, but sometimes a bit of moderation is necessary," he explained calmly.

Issei nodded, begrudgingly accepting their rationale. "Alright, I get it. Just don't expect me to sit quietly if they start with their arrogance," he said, his tone firm.

The room's participants step into the giant magic circle, and instantly, the ruins start to glow and flicker. Instantly, everyone is teleported to Mount Olympus.

--

As the group materialised on Mount Olympus, Issei took a moment to survey their surroundings. The grandeur of the ancient Greek architecture surrounded them—the marble columns towering high, adorned with intricate carvings depicting myths and legends of old.

Ahead of them, a path led towards the heart of Olympus, where the council chamber awaited their arrival. Issei could sense the eyes of unseen watchers upon them, guardians and spirits that lingered in the sacred precincts of the mountain. Issei felt the eyes on him; he could feel the trepidation coming from these eyes; his killing of Hades had clearly left a mark on the Greek Pantheon.

A figure approached them, clad in traditional Greek attire, a laurel wreath crowning their head. It was Hermes, the messenger of the gods, who greeted them with an enigmatic smile. His presence was welcoming and cautious, a testament to the delicate nature of their diplomatic mission.

"Welcome, honoured guests," Hermes spoke, echoing through the marble halls. "The council awaits your presence. Please follow me."

Issei glanced at Sirzechs, who nodded subtly, indicating that Issei should take the lead. With measured steps, Issei followed Hermes, the rest of the group trailing behind in a composed procession. The path wound through gardens of olive trees and statues of ancient heroes, each step bringing them closer to the heart of Olympus.

As they approached the entrance to the council chamber, Issei couldn't help but feel the eyes on him becoming more scrutinising. The chamber was a marvel of architecture, with its domed ceiling adorned with celestial frescoes and golden pillars gleaming in the soft light. Seated within were the Olympian gods, a formidable assembly of deities whose gazes scrutinised their guests with curiosity and wariness.

Zeus, the ruler of Olympus, sat at the centre of the council, his presence commanding respect and authority. Next to him was Poseidon, and on the other side was an empty seat that belonged to the now-deceased Hades.

Around them were Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite,Ares, Hera, Demeter, Hephaestus, Hestia and Dionysus, each radiating their own aura of divine power. Issei felt the gods concentrate their divine aura on him specifically, clearly upset that he killed their own.

In response, Issei remained calm; in his perspective, these so-called Gods were nothing but objects, weapons to be exact. He could only dream of killing them and using Item Extraction on their corpse to get more weapons.

A smirk grew on his face at the idea, "This, this is going to be so much fun..." he says to himself, his eyes flashing red in excitement.
