Issei and company were sat at the round table; next to him were Azazel and Sirzechs. Next to them sat Serafall, Ajuka, Odin, Michael and Shemhazai. Across them sat the Olympian Gods, each one of them staring at Issei, the majority with hate, some with trepidation and one staring at him lustfully.
Issei had an idea of the last feeling, or rather who. He glances towards the person and sees a beautiful blonde woman with a curvy and voluptuous figure dressed in a white drape that hugged her features. The woman stared at Issei lustfully, clearly interested in his looks and stature.
"Aphrodite..." Issei thinks to himself as he locks eyes with the Greek Goddess of Sexual love and beauty. In response, the Goddes gave Issei a suggestive wink, to which Issei just remains unbothered, used to this kind of treatment from Akeno.
Next to the Goddess was her husband, Hephaestus, the Greek God of Fire, metallurgy and crafts. He sees the look his wife gives Issei and scowls, still not amused by his wife's usual antics.
Issei's eyes then drift to the jealous God, and he smirks lightly to taunt him, knowing that Hephaestus usually gets the Sneako treatment from his wife. Hephaestus's scowl deepened as Issei smirked at him, but he remained silent, maintaining his composure.
Zeus, the King of Olympus and Ruler of the Greek Pantheon, cleared his throat, drawing the assembly's attention. "Welcome, honoured guests. We gather here to address the recent events that have caused tension between our pantheons. Let us proceed with the hope of finding a resolution that benefits all." his authoritative voice resonated through the chamber.

Issei leaned back slightly; his demeanour relaxed yet attentive. He could feel the weight of the Olympians' stares but refused to be intimidated.
Michael nodded in acknowledgment, "Thank you for having us, Zeus. We all want to avoid further conflict and work towards a mutually beneficial outcome.", he said in his usual calm tone.
Zeus nodded, acknowledging Michael's words. "Indeed. We understand that misunderstandings have led to recent hostilities. However, it is crucial that we address the underlying issues and find common ground." he replied.
Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, voice was calm and measured, "Black Dragon Emperor, your actions in the Underworld have been...controversial, to say the least. We seek to understand your motives and intentions." she spoke, addressing Issei's actions.

Issei met Athena's gaze, his expression unyielding. "I'm not sure why you are asking such questions. I was told that you received concrete proof of Hades's crimes against the Underworld and its inhabitants. Had he been allowed to have his way, then Devil kind would have been exterminated. So I did the most logical thing there was: I took him out of the picture," he says sternly.
Athena's eyes narrowed slightly at Issei's response, but before she could retort, Zeus interjected, his tone condescending. "While your actions might have been justified in your eyes, it is not your place to decide the fate of a god, especially one as powerful and ancient as Hades. We Olympians have our own ways of dealing with transgressions."
Issei's smirk widened slightly, unperturbed by Zeus's arrogance. "With all due respect, Zeus, if your ways were effective, Hades wouldn't have gotten away with his crimes for so long. Sometimes, action is necessary when the established order fails." he challenges.
A murmur of agreement and dissent rippled through the Olympian gods.
Ares, the God of war, leaned forward. "You speak boldly for a mere mortal turned devil. Do you truly believe you can stand against the wrath of the Olympian gods?" his expression was a mixture of amusement and challenge.

Issei's eyes met Ares's without flinching. "I don't just believe it, Ares. I've already proven it. Hades is gone, and I'm still here. And from what I've been told, he was the strongest among the lot of you, so what exactly can a lower-tier god such as yourself accomplish, Ares?" he mocks.
Ares's face darkened, his eyes blazing with anger. He slammed his fist onto the table, causing it to shudder. "Watch your tongue, devil! You may have defeated Hades, but you haven't faced me yet. I am the God of War, and I will not tolerate such disrespect!" he snarled.
Issei remained unfazed, his expression cold and calculating. "Empty threats, Ares. I've faced death itself and emerged victorious. What makes you think you can intimidate me?"
Ares's fury ignited like a wildfire, his divine aura flaring around him as he stood up abruptly. "You insolent wretch! I'll show you what it means to face a true god!" His voice thundered through the chamber, shaking the very walls.
The other Olympian gods watched with varying degrees of interest and concern. Some seemed eager to see Ares put Issei in his place, while others, like Athena and Poseidon, maintained a more reserved stance, assessing the situation with caution.
Issei leaned back slightly, his gaze resolute. "Bring it on, then. Let's see if you can back up your bark," he replied nonchalantly.
Before Ares could act, Athena stepped in, her expression a mix of frustration and urgency. "Enough, Ares! This is not the place for such displays. We are here to discuss, not to fight." she reprimanded.
Zeus's voice thundered over the din, commanding attention. "Ares, stand down! This is a council chamber, not a battlefield." he followed up on Athena's statement.
Ares glared at Issei, his fists still clenched, but he reluctantly took his seat, his anger barely contained. "This isn't over, devil. You'll see what happens when you challenge the gods."
Issei smirked, clearly unbothered by Ares's threats. "I'll be waiting."
Zeus sighed, the weight of the situation evident in his demeanour. "Let us continue without further disruptions. You must understand that while your actions against Hades may have had merit, the manner in which you executed them has consequences."
Issei crossed his arms, his expression defiant. "And I stand by those actions. If your own methods were more effective, Hades wouldn't have been able to commit his atrocities. Sometimes, drastic measures are necessary."
Poseidon, the God of the Sea, who had remained silent until now, spoke up, his tone cold and calculating. "Drastic measures, perhaps. But there are repercussions for such actions. The balance of power among the pantheons is delicate, and your interference has upset that balance."

Issei's gaze shifted to Poseidon, his eyes narrowing. "Then maybe it's time to rethink that balance. A system that allows for the suffering Hades caused is broken. If it takes shaking things up to fix it, then so be it."
Hera, the Goddess of Women and Marriage, interjected. "You speak as if you have the authority to dictate terms to us. You are a mere devil. Do not forget your place." her voice laced with disdain.
Issei's eyes then gazed at Hera, "So should you. After all, you're the wife who allows her husband to cheat, so keep quiet and continue sitting in the cuck chair you're so used to", he answered in a dismissive tone.
Hera's face contorted with rage at Issei's pointed remark, her divine aura flaring dangerously around her. The air in the council chamber grew tense as the Olympian gods reacted with varying degrees of shock, anger, and intrigue. Sensing the escalating tension, Zeus raised his hand again, his voice booming with authority.
"Silence!" Zeus's command reverberated through the chamber, momentarily quelling the rising storm. "This council is not a platform for insults and provocations. We are here to find a resolution, not to exacerbate tensions."
Hera, though visibly seething, reluctantly subsided, her eyes blazing with fury at Issei's audacity. For his part, Issei remained outwardly calm, his expression unreadable but defiant.
Hephaestus seethed where he sat; Issei's statement hit close to home. And the way his wife was suppressing her laughs at Issei's comment and eyeing him like a piece of meat, he had a feeling that he'd be put in the chair once more.
Issei scoffed, "All I've heard up till now is my actions. But yet, I haven't heard a single acknowledgment of Hades's crimes nor an apology on his behalf." he states firmly. "So allow me to revise all of Hades's crimes."
"1) Assisted the Hero Faction by lending them Samael to steal Ophis's power.
2) Send Grim Reapers to eliminate the Gremory Peerage and the Former Governor of the Fallen Angels, Azazel.
3) Gave Shalba Belzeebub the means to force activate the Annihilation Maker Sacred Gear's Balance Breaker to create Anti Monsters to destroy the Underworld and all Devils.
4) When he saw his plans failed, he tried to run with his tail between his legs before I confronted him and killed him."
Issei's voice grew colder as he continued. "So with all this, not even considering all his other dealings, why was I in the wrong to kill such a threat?" he asked sternly.
The council chamber fell silent as Issei declared Hades's crimes with cold precision. The Olympian gods exchanged uneasy glances, some looking visibly uncomfortable while others maintained their arrogant demeanour.
Zeus's expression remained stern, though a flicker of uncertainty crossed his eyes. "Issei, while Hades's actions were indeed reprehensible, the manner in which you executed your justice has far-reaching consequences. The balance of power among the pantheons must be maintained, and unilateral actions threaten that stability."
Issei scoffs, "Balance of power this, balance of that. I really don't give a shit, if I'm being frank", he sneers. "Hades threw the first stone; unprovoked, might I add. Don't whine and complain when you can't keep one of your own on a tight leash. Dogs who bark at the passing cars for too long will eventually get run over," he declared in the same tone.
The council chamber's atmosphere grew tense, the Olympian gods visibly bristling at Issei's blunt dismissal of their concerns.
Before any of the Gods could respond, Issei turned to Sirzechs, "Sirzechs, your little sister was among the group who were targeted to be killed by Grim Reapers on Hades's orders. Tell me, what would you have done if I weren't able to intervene to save her." he asked.
Sirzechs's eyes darkened at Issei's question, his usually calm demeanour giving way to a flicker of raw emotion. He took a deep breath before answering, his voice steady but laced with an undercurrent of anger. "If anyone, god or otherwise, threatened my sister's life and the lives of her friends, I would stop at nothing to protect them and, to an extreme case, avenge them. Hades's actions were beyond reprehensible. Issei did what had to be done."
Issei nodded in understanding, "Now, personally feeling aside, what would have happened if I failed to stop the Anti Monsters, which Hades indirectly created? As a Satan, what would've happened to the residents of the Underworld, the people who you promised to protect? All because of some arrogant God and his selfish ideals?" he asked in the same tone.
Sirzechs's expression grew more serious as he considered Issei's question. He looked around at the gathered Olympian gods, "If Issei had failed, the consequences for the Underworld would have been catastrophic. Hades's actions endangered countless lives, and as one of the Satans, it is my duty to protect our people. Issei's intervention prevented a disaster that could have wiped out the entire devil race."
Zeus frowned, clearly displeased with the direction the conversation was taking. "While your loyalty to your family and kind is admirable, Sirzechs, we must consider the broader implications of such actions. The delicate balance—"
"Enough about balance!" Issei snapped, cutting Zeus off. "You keep talking about balance, but where was that balance when Hades was plotting the destruction of the Underworld? Where was your intervention when innocent lives were at stake?"
Athena, her voice measured but firm, interjected. "Issei, you must understand that the gods operate under ancient laws and protocols. Hades's actions were... regrettable, but there are processes in place to address such transgressions."
Issei's eyes narrowed, his patience wearing thin. "Processes that clearly failed. If you had dealt with Hades properly, none of this would have happened. Your so-called balance is just an excuse to avoid taking responsibility. I don't regret my actions; I did what I did because I had to. I would do it infinite times over without ever questioning my judgment. I don't care who you are, God, Devil or otherwise. If you threaten the life of the innocent, I will burn you to the ground without hesitation, consequences be damned," he declared, his eyes flashing red to show how serious he was.
The council chamber was heavily silent following Issei's resolute declaration. For all their arrogance and power, the Olympian gods were taken aback by his unwavering conviction and the raw determination in his eyes.
Hera, unable to contain her disdain, scoffed dismissively. "Such bravado from a devil who fancies himself a hero. Your arrogance knows no bounds,"
Issei didn't even glance in Hera's direction, "You're speaking again? I thought I told you to keep quiet", he replied dismissively.
Hera's face flushed with anger at Issei's dismissive tone, her divine aura flaring brightly. The other Olympian gods watched in shock and curiosity, uncertain how to respond to Issei's blatant disregard for their authority and his cutting remarks.
His voice laced with authority, Zeus spoke up to quell the rising tension. "Enough! This bickering will get us nowhere. We must find a resolution that satisfies both parties." His gaze swept across the chamber, assessing the reactions of his fellow gods and the representatives of the three factions.
"Your defiance is noted, Issei," Zeus continued, his tone authoritative. "But do not mistake your singular victory for supremacy. The gods have existed for eons, and our ways, though ancient, have maintained order across realms."
Issei met Zeus's gaze unflinchingly. "Order that allows for corruption and unchecked power is no order at all. If you won't change, then maybe it's time someone else does."
Ares, still seething from their earlier exchange, sneered. "Big words from a devil who's had one lucky break. You think you can stand against the might of Olympus? We are gods, not mere mortals for you to toy with."
Issei's smirk returned, colder this time. "Keep thinking that, Ares. It makes it all the more satisfying when reality hits. And let me tell you, Hades died afraid." he finishes, the last part in a hollow whisper to emphasise his point.
Ares's face contorted with rage, his knuckles white as he gripped the edge of the table. The tension in the room thickened, the air practically crackling with divine energy.
Athena, ever the voice of reason, intervened. "Ares, enough. This is not the time for threats and posturing. We are here to discuss a solution."
Zeus nodded in agreement, though his gaze remained fixed on Issei. "Issei, your actions have disrupted the balance, but perhaps there is a way to restore it. We need to find a path forward that ensures the safety and stability of all realms."
Poseidon, who had been observing silently, finally spoke. "Issei, you demand accountability, and rightly so. But you must also recognise the importance of alliances and diplomacy. A fractured pantheon serves no one."
Issei leaned back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. "This diplomacy and alliance building is not my area of expertise", he mentions before turning to Serafall. "Serafall, you are the Satan of Internal Affairs, if you wouldn't mind," he requests.
Serafall Leviathan, the Satan of Internal Affairs, perked up at Issei's request. Her typically cheerful demeanour turned serious as she addressed the council. "Thank you, Issei," she began, her voice calm yet authoritative. "As the Satan responsible for diplomacy and internal affairs, I propose that we establish a council of representatives from all pantheons and factions to oversee and mediate inter-realm disputes."
The Olympian gods exchanged glances, some nodding in agreement while others remained sceptical. Zeus's expression softened slightly as he considered Serafall's proposal. "A council of representatives... It could work, provided there is mutual respect and cooperation."
Serafall continued, "This council would serve as a platform for addressing grievances and preventing conflicts before they escalate. Each faction and Pantheon would have an equal voice, ensuring that no single entity holds undue power."
Athena, ever pragmatic, nodded. "A balanced approach is essential. Such a council could help maintain peace and order, provided all parties commit to its principles."
Poseidon spoke again, his tone measured. "It is a sensible proposal, but trust must be rebuilt. The actions of one individual, no matter how justified, have sown discord. We must work together to mend these fractures."
Seeing that he was no longer needed, Issei leaned back and drifted into his own world. Ddraig, who was observing the entire session, spoke up.
"Well, partner, you kept your cool despite being provoked", he commends internally.
Issei, hearing Ddraig, smirked, "Well, I was a bit tempted to butcher the entire room at one point", he responded.
Azazel, who was sitting next to him, poked Issei in the rib to catch his attention. "Well done, I must admit, it went a lot smoother than I thought it would. Although you could've done without insulting Ares and Hera."
Issei scoffed, "Didn't I say I wouldn't accept their arrogance and put them in their place when needed?".
As the meeting between the leaders and Gods went on, Issei noticed the other person who came along. Shemhazai speaks about the behaviour of the Grigori and the Fallen Angels.
As Shemhazai spoke, Issei observed him. "So he's the new leader of the Grigori, the one who replaced Azazel. He doesn't seem like much..." he notes to himself as he finds Shemhazai's attire jarring.
As the other leaders, Odin and Michael, spoke up, the Greeks had a tidbit of information that caught Issei's attention.
Athena was the one to deliver the current situation, "If what you say about Qlippoth Organisation is true, then we should also be upfront with one of our own issues", she mentioned.
After the Greeks were told about this shadow organisation, which existed beyond the now-destroyed Khaos Brigade, they were put on edge, along with the fact that this new organisation held one-half of Ophis's power. When Athena mentioned being upfront about one of their issues, a handful of Gods had disapproving looks, knowing that the information that Athena was about to reveal would prove Issei's claim correct.
Athena looked around the room, seeing the looks of her fellow Gods; although she received disapproving looks, her resolve was still firm. "When the news of Hades's death was established, we lost contact with a few of our own. To this day, we haven't received any words from them, so we are under the impression that they were aligned with Hades's grand plan."
Athena then continued, "However, that is not all. You must know about the dimension known as Tartarus, the place where the Titans were sealed, has dimension disappeared".
The tension in the room grew palpable as Athena revealed the troubling news about Tartarus. The leaders of the 3 Factions exchanged concerned glances, their faces reflecting a mix of shock and apprehension. On the other hand, Issei observed silently, his mind trying to piece together how one loses a dimension.
Sirzechs leaned forward, "That is quite troubling", he comments. "Aside from the Titans, what else was in Tartarus?" he asked.
Poisedon spoke up this time, "Aside from the Titans, Tartarus had various monsters such Typhon and Echidna sealed within. Along with Pandora's Box", he answered, the last part a bit quieter than the rest.
As Poseidon mentioned Pandora's Box, a heavy silence fell over the council chamber. The significance of what had been lost began to sink in among the assembled leaders and gods.
"Pandora's Box... That's a relic of immense power," Azazel muttered quietly, his voice carrying a weight of concern. "If it's fallen into the wrong hands or unleashed its contents..."
Athena nodded gravely, her expression mirroring the gravity of the situation. "Indeed, Pandora's Box contains evils that, if released, could wreak havoc across all realms. Its disappearance is deeply troubling."
As Athena mentioned that information, everything clicked within Issei's mind. "That's right, Pandora's Box holds the evil that was present during the events of Titanomachy. And a dimension doesn't suddenly grow legs and disappear. This means that someone opened the Box and released that evil across Tartarus, and because of that, Tartarus was able to gain consciousness from all that accumulated Evil. Just like how humans can will a Pagan God into existence through worship and rituals, Tartarus went from just being a Dimension to now a sentient Entity," he thinks.
Issei then looks up as he hears Michael's voice, "If that Box held such evil, there must've been something which opposed it to keep the balance", he remarked in a thoughtful tone, as he suspected there was more to the story.
Athena nodded, "Yes, there were objects to counter the evil. They were objects or rather weapons of each God, which we left behind from the War." she answered.
Issei's eyes widen with a gleam at the response, "More weapons?!" he thinks internally, his greed for more weapons taking over. It was enough for him to clench his fist hard enough his knuckles turned white.
Ajuka, who had been silent throughout most of the meeting, spoke. "And these weapons, how powerful are they?" he asked.
Zeus let out a sigh, "They are god-killing level weapons..." he responds.
Ajuka's eyes widened slightly at Zeus's revelation. "God-killing level weapons... That's quite the arsenal," he remarked, his interest piqued by the potential power these artifacts held.
Issei's entire body clenched; his left leg was now excitedly bouncing. Azazel, who saw the motion, sighed, knowing how much of a collector Issei is, especially for weapons.
Odin then spoke, "If I may ask, you mentioned some of your own, which you lost contact with and perhaps were with Hades and his grand plan. Can you reveal the names?" he asked.
Poseidon crossed his arms, clearly not amused that such information would be revealed. Some others shared the sentiment.
Zeus took a stern expression before answering, "The beings we lost contact with are Nyx, the Primordial Goddess of Night and Erebus, the Primordial God of Darkness", he replied, a bit of shame in his tone.
The revelation about Nyx and Erebus sent a wave of shock through the room. These were not just ordinary gods but primordial beings with immense power and influence over fundamental aspects of existence. Issei remained outwardly composed, though his mind raced with questions and possibilities.
Sirzechs furrowed his brow, his voice reflecting his concern. "Nyx and Erebus... If they are involved, the threat is far greater than we anticipated."
Athena nodded solemnly. "Indeed. If they have aligned with Hades or have their own agenda, it could spell disaster for all of us."
Michael started to connect the dots and spoke up, "Tartarus's disappearance isn't just a random event if they are behind this. It could be a strategic move, a way to gather power or resources for a larger plan."
His expression grim, Zeus added, "And with Pandora's Box missing, the potential for widespread chaos and destruction is immense."
Azazel leaned forward, his demeanour serious. "We need a coordinated effort to investigate and address this situation. The council Serafall proposed could serve as a starting point for our collaboration."
Serafall nodded, "Agreed. We must put aside our differences and work together to ensure the safety of all realms. This is not just a threat to Olympus or the Underworld."
Poseidon, though still wary, conceded. "Very well. We will support this council and provide whatever resources are necessary to locate Tartarus and address the threat posed by Nyx and Erebus."
Apollo, who had been quiet till now, decided to speak up. "Shall we also tell them about the prophecy we received?" he asked out loud, getting the attention of his fellow Gods.
The Gods, in response, gave them uncertain looks; the conversation earlier was about a common threat. This prophecy, however, was still being determined; prophecies, in general, were shrouded in mystery and never truly fact.
Odin raised an eyebrow, "Prophecy?" he echoed, curious due to having prophets from the Norse Pantheon himself, the Norns.
Issei gives a sideways glance towards Odin, knowing he is referring to Norns and remembering the encounter he had with the three sisters. To Issei, they mumbling nonsense.
Zeus sighed, "One of our prophets came to us with a prophecy this week. The prophecy itself was quite ominous", he answered.
"And what exactly does this prophecy entail?" Odin asks.
Zeus raises his hand, and instantly, blue and white lightning appears on his palm, dancing around his hand. As the lightning died down, there was a scroll in his hand. Zeus then opens the scroll and starts to read the content.
In shadows deep, a tale does lie,
Of parents' love, and sorrow's cry.
Two souls entwined, their dreams to share,
But fate's cruel hand, left them in despair.
Twice they dared, to bring forth life,
Yet both attempts, were met with strife.
A silent sorrow, filled their days,
As hope grew thin, in sorrow's maze.
But destiny's thread, it did unwind,
A third attempt, a glimmer they'd find.
A son was born, a miracle to behold,
Yet secrets dark, within him, untold.
For in the womb, where life did bloom,
A darkness stirred, within the gloom.
The third child, with hunger rife,
Consumed his kin, and claimed their life.
Body, mind, spirit, and soul,
He devoured them whole, to make him whole.
A tyrant born, in innocence's guise,
His reign of terror, to claim the skies.
With each breath drawn, his power grew,
A force of chaos, the world he'd subdue.
Unknown to all, the truth concealed,
In his veins, the darkness sealed.
So beware the child, with eyes so wild,
For he bears the mark, of the unborn child.
A tyrant born, from the womb's embrace,
To shape the world, in his dark grace.
The room fell silent as Zeus's voice echoed through the chamber, reciting the ominous prophecy. The gravity of the words hung heavy in the air, each line painting a chilling picture of a dark and powerful being.
Issei's mind raced, analysing the prophecy and its potential implications. Within the recesses of Issei's mind, Dark-sei had a knowing smirk, amused that the prophets were able to pick up on this.
Odin, ever the strategist, was the first to speak. "A prophecy of such magnitude cannot be ignored. We must consider the possibility that this child is connected to the recent events."
Michael nodded in agreement. "If this prophecy is true, then this child could be a threat greater than any we have faced before. We must find them before they can realise their full potential."
Poseidon crossed his arms, his expression grim. "But how do we identify this child? The prophecy is vague, providing little concrete information. We need more clues to locate them."
Sirzechs turned to Issei, noticing he had become quiet after his part was over. "Issei, what do you make of this?" he asks with a bit of concern, hoping Issei could relieve some tension.
The entire room's attention landed on Issei, and everyone wondered his opinions.
Seeing the eyes on him, Issei sighs. "I'm not sure how prophecies work. But from what I know, 'The more one tries to manipulate a prophecy, the less likely they are to receive their desired outcome,'" he explains.
The room became contemplative as Issei's words echoed through the chamber. His statement carried a weight of experience and understanding not lost on the assembled gods and leaders.
Issei lets out a deep breath, "Let me explain further. Imagine there was a prophecy stating this child would be either the world's salvation or its destroyer. The most common thought would be fear, and in response, the masses would try and dispose of this child, only for that child to somehow survive and end up hating the world for its injustice, making them the destroyer. Yet the same could happen in the opposite direction; if the masses choose to treat this child as if they are on a pedestal, they could grow up arrogant and self-centred, making them a destroyer because of being treated as a god. The point I'm trying to make is, when it comes to prophecies, don't act predictable," he stated.
Issei's explanation hung in the air, sinking in with the gravity of his words. The room remained silent as everyone processed the implications of what he said. His insight into prophecies' nature and unpredictable outcomes made the situation even more complex.
Zeus nodded slowly, acknowledging the wisdom in Issei's words. "You have a point. Prophecies have a way of twisting outcomes based on the actions taken to prevent them. We must tread carefully."
Michael added, "We need to gather more information about this child without causing unnecessary fear or panic."
Athena said, "We should start by investigating any unusual occurrences or births that align with the timing of the prophecy. If there is indeed a child with such potential, there might be traces or signs that we can follow."
Issei leaned back in his chair; the prophecy caused an itch in the back of his brain. Was the prophecy related to him? Nah, he was just being paranoid.
Issei was then brought out of his musing as Zeus addressed him directly, "Black Dragon Emperor, there is something which you must be informed of", he starts.
Issei then leaned forward, "What is it?" he asked.
Zeus locked eyes with Issei, "Although your killing of my brother is water under the bridge to us, there is a group who actively want to hunt you down because you killed Hades", he said in a stern tone.
Issei nodded in understanding, "And who is this group?" he asked.
Zeus took a breath before replying, "The Furies", he stated in a grim tone.
The Furies are the creatures of retribution that were born when Cronos castrated his father Ouranus and hurled his genitalia into the sea, causing droplets of blood to appear. Tisiphone, Megaera, and Alecto were the three sisters. These three sisters quickly assumed the role of Hades' devoted, lifelong servants.
As the Goddess of wrath, Alecto was tasked with punishing persons who committed moral transgressions like fury, particularly when directed against other people. Megaera was the Goddess of jealousy, punishing people for their transgressions, including adultery. As the Goddess of vengeance and the third sister, Tisiphone punishes people who commit murder, including fratricide, homicide, and parricide.
The revelation about the Furies sent a ripple of tension through the room. Even among the gods, the Furies were known for their relentless pursuit of vengeance and unwavering loyalty to Hades.
Issei remained composed, "The Furies... I see." he says.
Zeus continued, "They are relentless in their pursuit of vengeance. They have already begun their hunt and will stop at nothing to see you punished for Hades' death."
Athena interjected, "Black Dragon Emperor, the Furies are not to be underestimated. They possess powers and abilities that make them formidable adversaries. Their pursuit is relentless, and they will exploit any weakness they find." she warned, her voice calm but firm.
Issei nodded in appreciation at Athena's wisdom, "Thank you, Anthena, but if they are after me specifically, then I'll deal with them myself." he responded in a firm tone.
Zeus nodded solemnly. "Very well, Black Dragon Emperor. Be vigilant. The Furies are ancient and cunning. They will not attack openly; they will strike when you least expect it." he cautions.
Athena, her gaze steady and thoughtful. "Be mindful of their tactics. The Furies will not only target you but may also go after those you care about to weaken your resolve," she urges.
Issei met Athena's gaze, his eyes narrow at her statement. "I'll keep that in mind," he replies, images of the people he cares about flashing through his head. Unconsciously, he started releasing a noticeable killing aura at the prospect of them being harmed just to get to him.
The room was silent, the tension palpable as Issei's killing aura filled the space. The gods and leaders present felt the intensity of his power, a reminder of the formidable force they were dealing with. Even the Olympian gods, accustomed to displays of strength, were momentarily taken aback.
Issei's shadow on the wall behind him began to shift and morph. Large dragon-like wings unfurled from the shadow, and its face grew sharp, with glowing red eyes and a sinister, sharp smile. The transformation went unnoticed by Issei, but the others in the room couldn't help but notice the ominous change.
Issei's aura settled after a few seconds, and the shadowy apparition receded back to normal. Issei closed his eyes before speaking again, "Thank you, once again, for the information", he replied in a professional tone.
Zeus, breaking the silence, "Let us move forward with our plans. The council must be established immediately to address the threats we face, whether it be this Qlippoth group, Nyx and Erebus, or this prophecy", spoke with a tone of finality.
Michael nodded in agreement. "We will also need to share information and resources. Cooperation is our best chance of success," he replies.
Azazel clapped his hands, catching everyone's attention. "Well, it seems like we have come to an agreement. Does anyone still have a problem with Issei?" he asks the Olympian Gods.
The Olympian gods exchanged glances, weighing their options and the current situation. Some looked reluctant, but none spoke up against Issei. The tension in the room slowly dissipated as they silently acknowledged the necessity of unity.
Before Zeus could give an answer on behalf of his Pantheon, Ares beat him to the punch. "I still do", he says aggressively, recalling their earlier verbal scuffle.
Issei met Ares's gaze, unflinching. "And what exactly is your problem with me?" he asked his tone calm but with an underlying edge.
Ares sneered, his fists clenched. "You killed one of us, a god of Olympus. That cannot be overlooked. You might have the support of these fools," he gestured to the assembled gods and leaders, "but not mine. I don't trust you."
Issei scoffs, "This guy... I'd end him here and now, but I wish to see his demise at the hands of a bald spartan who has the ashes of his dead wife and daughter on his skin." he thought to himself.
"I don't expect you to, but tell me, how exactly should we resolve that deep pit of insecurity you have?" Issei asks in a cold tone.
Ares bristled at Issei's words, his anger barely contained. "Insecurity? You dare mock me? You think you're untouchable, Black Dragon Emperor, but you're just a mortal who got lucky."
Issei's eyes narrowed, his patience wearing thin. "Luck had nothing to do with it. I faced Hades and won. If you have a problem with that, perhaps you should take it up with him in the afterlife."
Ares's anger boiled over as Issei's words struck a nerve. The god of war stood up. "Enough! If you think you're so powerful, then prove it. I challenge you to a sanctioned fight here and now." he challenged.
Issei's eyes locked onto Ares, his expression unfazed. "A sanctioned fight? Very well. If that's what it takes to settle this, then I accept."
Zeus intervened, his voice commanding. "Ares, Issei, this is not the time for infighting. We are facing a grave threat, and we must stand united. However," he paused, "if a fight is the only way to resolve this tension, it will be conducted under strict rules and supervision."
Ares's sneer turned into a triumphant grin. "Fine by me. I'll show you that you're no match for a god of war."
Issei could only smirk at the ignorance, "We'll just have to see about that", he replied.
X
The anticipation in the arena was palpable as the spectators awaited the showdown. The Olympian residents, usually accustomed to divine displays, were particularly eager to witness the clash between the Black Dragon Emperor and the God of War.
Michael turned to Azazel, "So, who do you think will win?" he asked.
Azazel only smirked, "Isn't that obvious?" he answered, hinting at Issei being the winner.
Michael only smiled and turned his head back to the arena. "Issei's growth has been extraordinary. From a naive youth to a powerful figure in the supernatural world," he commented.
Azazel nodded, his smirk widening. "Indeed. He's shown remarkable adaptability and strength. Ares is in for a surprise."
Sirzechs added, his eyes still closed in contemplation, "Issei's composure during the negotiations was commendable. It's clear he's not just a fighter but a strategist as well."
Odin chuckled, his gaze shifting between the contenders. "He'll make quite a leader one day, though his leadership style might be more... forceful than diplomatic. But sometimes, that's what's needed," he spoke.
In the centre of the arena, Issei and Ares walked towards each other from opposite ends. Ares looked at Issei with a smug and arrogant expression while Issei stared back with a calmer and more calculated one.
Sirzechs frowned at the choice of the arena and turned to Zeus, "Lord Zeus, I should tell you, it isn't wise for beings of their calibre to fight in such a confined space. Issei's battles tend to be excessively destructive" he warns,
Zeus, in response, let out a hearty laugh, "Do not worry, Satan Lucifer, I myself also know what my own son is like when he fights", he replied as he snapped his fingers.
Suddenly, both Issei and Ares were teleported to a barren wasteland. Issei glances around the new surroundings, realising it is a pocket dimension of sorts.
Athena then glances at Sirzechs, "We used your retirement technique from your Rating Matches to force eject the heavily wounded from the dimension before something more lethal can take place." she explained.
Sirzechs hummed in interest, "How interesting," he remarks.
Ares stood tall, his posture radiating confidence and arrogance. "You should be grateful, Black Dragon Emperor. You're about to witness the might of a true god," he declared, his voice dripping with disdain.
Issei remained unfazed, his calm demeanour in stark contrast to Ares's bravado. "True god, huh? How amusing," he replied, his voice steady.
Zeus's voice echoed through the dimension, announcing the start of the battle. "Let the duel commence!"
Without hesitation, Ares charged forward, his movements swift and decisive. His fists crackled with divine energy, ready to strike down his opponent. Issei, however, remained calm and focused, his eyes tracking every movement.
As Ares closed the distance, he unleashed a barrage of punches, each powerful enough to shatter mountains. Issei dodged with fluid grace, his speed and precision unmatched. He countered with a series of quick, devastating strikes, each finding its mark on Ares's body.
The god of war grunted in pain but refused to back down. "Is that all you've got?" he taunted, his eyes burning with fury.
Issei smirked. "Not even close," he replied as he dashed forward at blinding speeds and dodged a punch from Ares.
As Issei dodged the powerful punch, Ares suddenly flew into the air; his head snapped back as if he was hit with a powerful hit. However, Issei looked like he didn't move, at least from Ares's perspective.
Michael's eyes widened in shock, "What did he just do?" he asked.
Azazel was the one to answer, "An invisible attack", he stated, already knowing Issei's fighting style.
Zeus turned his head to Azazel for confirmation, "Invisible attack?" he asked.
Azazel nodded, "It's called an invisible attack, but in actuality, it is a speed and technique-based attack. Issei started and ended his attack in Ares's blind spot, so in Ares's perspective, it seemed he got hit by an invisible attack," he explained.
As Ares staggered back from the unexpected strike, his expression twisted with disbelief and anger. Issei's strategy had caught him off guard, a testament to the Black Dragon Emperor's adaptability and skill.
Ares growled, wiping blood from his mouth as he regained his footing. "You little..." he sneered, eyes narrowing with renewed intensity. "You think you can outwit me with tricks? I am the God of War!"
Issei remained calm, his eyes sharp as he assessed Ares's next move. He could sense the god's mounting rage and knew he needed to maintain his focus. In a flash, Ares charged again, this time with even greater speed and ferocity.
Issei once again dodged the hit by disappearing into thin air; Ares was only given a moment to widen his eyes before a knee smashed into the side of his face. Ares looks through the corner of his eye and sees Issei has reappeared at his flank, with his driving into his face.
Ares staggered backward, the force of Issei's knee strike sending shockwaves through his body. The god of war gritted his teeth, blood trickling from his lip as he struggled to regain his balance. Issei's strategy of using speed and unpredictability proved effective against Ares's raw power.
Observing with a keen eye, Zeus noted the fight's dynamics. "His adaptability is impressive. He's not just matching Ares blow for blow; he's outmaneuvering him," he remarked to Athena beside him.
Athena nodded, her gaze unwavering as she analysed the battle. "Indeed. Ares's strength lies in direct confrontation and overwhelming force. Issei's strategy is to evade and exploit openings," she observed, her voice calm and analytical.
Azazel glances over at Athena for a bit, intrigued by her analysis. Although she had some truth to her statement, there were misconceptions. He knew what Issei's true martial art was. Honestly, he was confident that Issei was most dangerous when it came to close-quarter combat, unrivalled by none.
Ares flipped mid-air and landed on his feet, the ground beneath him cracking from the stomp. He let out a roar of fury, "Stop with these games! Fight me head-on!" he demanded.
Issei smirked at the boast and started to walk towards Ares casually; in response, Ares lunged forward and tried to land a devasting punch on the unguarded Issei, his hands wrapped in his divine aura. Issei kicks Ares's hand, deflecting the punch, and within the same motion, he slams his heel into Ares's neck with the same leg he used to counter.
Ares let out a grunt of pain as he started to stumble back but used his back leg to stop himself from falling back. He then clenched his other hand and swung it towards Issei. Seeing the attack, Issei threw a punch of his own into Ares's fist; Issei punched a bit lower, causing his knuckles to make contact with Ares's fingers.
"How's that for 'head on?'" Issei taunts.
The impact of Issei's punch on Ares's fingers caused a sharp, cracking sound, and the god of war's fist was forced open in pain. Ares snarled, his fury intensifying with each failed attack. Issei maintained his calm demeanour; his eyes locked onto Ares with unwavering focus.
Ares snarled, his frustration boiling over. "You're nothing but a mortal with borrowed power! I'll crush you and show everyone your true weakness!"
As Ares closed the distance, he unleashed a flurry of powerful strikes, each aiming to pulverise Issei. In response, Issei put his hands into a blade-like form and waited for the right moment. Ares launched a punch with his good fist, and within that moment, Issei attacked.
Issei moved at blinding speeds and appeared a few distance behind Ares, his blade hands outstretched; at that exact moment, a deep cut appeared on Ares's chest, which reached his back. Issei had used his hands as a pseudo blade to cut into Ares's body like a sword.
Ares gasped in pain as the deep cut appeared across his chest and back, his divine blood seeping from the wound. The god of war staggered, his eyes wide with disbelief and fury. Issei's technique had caught him off guard once again.
Despite the pain and blood loss, Ares refused to back down. His eyes burned with unrelenting determination as he summoned all his remaining strength. "I won't be defeated by a mere mortal!" he roared, his divine aura flaring with renewed intensity.

Out of thin air, various weapons materialised into existence: swords, spears, axes, shields, and others. All were aimed at Issei as projectiles, targetting to rip him apart.
Issei raised an eyebrow at the new ability, "He is the God of War; creating weapons does make sense. His ability reminds me of Kiba's sword birth, although Ares isn't limited to just swords. But I'd assume Ares can only make weapons that are Greek in origin, so I don't have to worry about him making katanas or anything of the sort." he analyses internally.
The God of War's divine aura intensified, and the weapons launched towards Issei with lethal intent. Issei stood still, causing the Greek God's eyes to widen in shock and confusion, while the leaders had an impassive look, although Azazel and Odin were wearing a knowing smirk.
The first weapon that reached Issei was a spear; while it was still in mid-air, Issei grabbed it before it could hit him and started using it like a sword, deflecting the onslaught of incoming projectiles. The clash of metal echoed through the barren wasteland as the weapons rattled against each other, sending sparks flying in all directions. Ares watched, his frustration mounting as Issei effortlessly handled the barrage.
"Is that all you've got, Ares?" Issei taunted, his voice calm and composed. "I expected more from the God of War."
Ares's eyes narrowed, his divine aura flaring even brighter. "You underestimate me, mortal!" he roared, summoning even more weapons from the ether. This time, the weapons glowed with a divine light, their edges sharper and more dangerous.
Issei adjusted his grip on the spear, his eyes narrowing in focus. As the enhanced weapons flew toward him, he deflected them with even greater skill and precision. Each deflected weapon clattered to the ground, creating a growing pile of defeated projectiles around him.
Issei then stomps the ground, causing the clattered weapons to bounce into the air; he then activates his blood-red magic circle and uses vector magic to send the weapons flying back and Ares.
Ares's eyes widened in shock as his own weapons were turned against him, streaking through the air with deadly precision. He quickly summoned a shield, blocking the oncoming projectiles. The clash of metal rang out as the divine weapons struck the shield, deflecting in all directions.
In the stands, Sirzechs is intrigued by Issei's magic circle, recalling Rias's statement that Issei used an unidentifiable magic circle after his fight with Hades. He turns his gaze to Odin, "Lord Odin, can your magic eye see what type of magic Issei is using?" he asks.
Odin was observing with his right eye, the Mimisbrunner's Magic eye. This eye allows him to become familiar with many types of demonic powers, magic and overspells. Despite his special eye, Odin couldn't completely identify what magic Issei was using; in fact, it didn't even register as 'conventional magic'.
Odin shook his head, "No, I don't; aside from the obvious, which is the manipulation of fundamental forces, I can't understand it." he answered.
Sirzechs nodded thoughtfully, absorbing Odin's assessment. Issei's abilities seemed to defy conventional categorisation, adding to his mystique and power. Meanwhile, in the arena, Issei continued to manipulate the trajectory of the weapons with precise control, keeping Ares on the defensive.
Ares gritted his teeth, his shield bearing the brunt of Issei's counterattack. The god of war struggled against the relentless barrage, his divine aura flickering with strain. Each weapon that struck his shield threatened to overwhelm him, pushing him back step by step.
With a snarl of frustration, Ares dispelled the remaining weapons and glared at Issei, his chest heaving with exertion. "You've got some tricks, I'll give you that," he growled, "but this ends now!"
Ares roared defiantly as he gathered his divine energy, his aura pulsating with renewed intensity. The ground beneath him cracked with the force of his power, sending shockwaves through the battlefield. Issei remained composed, his eyes locked onto Ares as he prepared for the god of war's next move. Issei knew it was time to use his Scale Mail, precisely his new one, which he had planned for the day earlier.
Issei then clicked his neck, "Ddraig, is the new scale mail ready?" he asked internally.
Ddraig, in response, huffed, "It is, although I am quite upset that you decided to do the test run in the middle of the fight rather than before. You did the same thing against the True Longinus wielder with the adaptation Scale Mail," he scolds.
Issei sighed, "Like I said once, you need to learn to run before you can walk", he replied.
Issei got into a stance, and black and red energy started cultivating around him. Ares saw an opportunity to attack while Issei was powering up; instantly, he dashed towards Issei.
As he closed in, a massive explosion erupted from Issei, causing Ares to be flung back far further than he had started. A pillar of black and red energy soared into the sky from where Issei stood.
WELSH DRAGON BALANCE BREAKER
As the energy pillar died, Issei stood in his new and improved Scale Mail. The Scale Mail was now more streamlined and body-fitting than its original bulky iteration. The Scale Mail hugged Issei's frame like a second skin but provided even more protection and power than the previous version.

Issei looked at his hands, twisting his wrists, feeling the new mobility that wasn't once offered. He bent his body in angles that weren't once possible, his core and obliques twisting as he stretched.
"This... this is amazing..." Issei mutters in a low tone, rolling his shoulders in both directions.
This new Scale Mail had the bulk compressed into a more body-fitting armour. It could now absorb vibrations and redirect kinetic energy directed towards it. It also mimicked the properties of graphene and is now significantly lighter and more flexible, but despite all this, its strength and durability remained and were heightened. The armour will also harden at the point of contact when hit to minimise damage to the Scale Mail and the wearer.
The vibration that can be absorbed ranges from opponents' attacks to Issei's movements. These absorbed vibrations can enhance the Scale Mail's defensive or aggressive capabilities.
Issei started hopping around, feeling how light the new Scale Mail was; he noticed that his stomps made no sound since the Scale Mail absorbed all vibrations. Ares watched with wide eyes, his fury mingling with a hint of apprehension. The new Scale Mail exuded an overwhelming power; even the spectators could feel the difference.
Issei took a deep breath, the energy within him humming. "Alright, Ares," he called out, his voice steady and confident. "Let's see how you handle this."
Ares growled, refusing to back down. "I don't care what kind of armour you have. I'll still crush you!" he roared, charging forward with renewed vigour.
Ares hurled a barrage of weapons towards Issei, and a wall of weapons was shot at Issei. However, Issei remained calm and jumped and twisted his body as he maneuvered through the barrage of weapons; the new Aerodynamics and Stability allowed him to flip through the wall of weapons with fluid grace.
BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!
Before Ares could react, the spinning Issei flew into Ares and shin-kicked him across the face. The impact of Issei's shin kick sent Ares sprawling, the god of war's body skidding across the ground. Ares quickly regained his footing, his face contorted with rage and pain. He wiped the blood from his lip and glared at Issei, his divine aura flaring once more.
"You think a new suit of armour will save you?" Ares spat, summoning his divine energy. "I'll show you the true power of a god!"
With a final surge of energy, Ares summoned a massive war hammer, its head crackling with divine power. He charged at Issei, swinging the weapon with all his might. The ground trembled under the force of his attack, the sheer power of the swing capable of pulverising anything in its path.
Issei looked at the hammer curiously, "This is a good time to test the main features of the Scale Mail", he said to himself.
Issei met Ares's charge head-on, his own aura flaring with intense energy. As the war hammer descended, Issei moved with blinding speed, his body a blur of motion. He raised his hand upwards and blocked the descending war hammer.
Instantly, the part of the armour where the hammer made contact hardened, the vibration was absorbed, and the kinetic energy was redirected. Not even the ground beneath Issei cracked since the vibration was absorbed and the energy redirected outwards.
Ares's eyes widened in disbelief as he witnessed Issei's effortless defence. "Impossible!" he roared, trying to wrench the war hammer free from Issei's grasp. But Issei held firm, his strength augmented by the advanced capabilities of his new armour.
Issei smirked, feeling the power coursing through his new armour. "Impressive, isn't it?." he taunted and reared his fist back, the power of the stored vibrations coursing through the entire Scale Mail, wanting to be released.
Issei delivered a powerful punch to Ares's gut in a single fluid motion. The vibration he absorbed from his attack, powered by the redirected kinetic energy along with Issei's own force, was put into that singular punch.
The punch landed with devastating force, sending shockwaves through Ares's body. The god of war's eyes bulged, and he coughed up blood as he was launched backwards, crashing into the ground with a thunderous impact. The sheer power behind Issei's strike left the spectators in awe, their eyes widening at the display of raw strength and precision.
Ares coughed, blood dripping from his mouth as he struggled to rise. "This... this can't be," he muttered, his voice filled with disbelief and anger.
Issei stood tall, his new Scale Mail pulsating with power. "Hmph, that expression you made, it looked like your soul got ripped out," he said, his voice carrying a mocking edge.
Ares growled, his pride wounded more than his body. "Enough of your arrogance!" he bellowed, summoning every ounce of his divine might. His war hammer disappeared, replaced by a pair of glowing swords, each one radiating an intense heat.
Issei cocked an eyebrow at the swords Ares now wielded, "Are those the Blades of Chaos?" he thinks to himself, recognising the blades from somewhere.
Ares then points a sword at Issei, "I wish to see the form which claimed Hades's life. As much as I'm reluctant to admit it, you are strong, but even I know your current power isn't enough to kill Hades. So stop holding back and show me that form!" he shouts.
Issei took on a thoughtful expression behind the helmet of his scale mail. "He wishes to see Satanification? Hmm, I'm not confident that I want to show off that power-up due to the mystery and unknown of that form. But I guess use Vanta Vermillion Overdrive as a proxy," he thought.
In the observatory, the Gods and Leaders were also curious about the form that Issei used to kill Hades. The Gods were interested in which form Issei used, while the Leaders believed that Issei used the Juggernaut Drive to kill Hades.
Back on the battlefield, Issei looked at Ares contemplatively. "Why do you wish to see that form? From what I can see, you aren't at the level of Hades and am not required to go that far," he comments.
Ares grits his teeth angrily at the comment, "You think you can look down on me?! A mere mortal?!" he protested.
Issei, although in another dimension, felt the thoughts of the observers. "They want to see more of my power. I wish to have kept some secrets for myself, but if I don't show them, it could cause distrust for myself and the factions. I could play it off and say I used the Juggernaut Drive, but I'll be asked to activate it and lose more of my humanity. And I'm certainly not revealing Satanification just yet. So I'll have to settle with Vanta Vermillion Overdrive." he thought.
Issei then takes a stance, ready to do the chant for Vanta Vermillion Overdrive.
I, who am about to ascend,
Stand as the Black Dragon Emperor, discarding the shackles of virtue,
I tread the path of Destruction and Domination, wielding Infinite Power and Unparalleled Might,
I shall be crowned the Monarch of Dragons and the Ruler of Destruction, surrounded by the flames of Supremacy,
And mark my words; I pledge to unveil a future where I rule with unrivalled Tyranny, casting my dominion of the Dark Abyss!
Vanta Vermillion Overdrive!
When Issei finished the chant, his scale mail changed in design and colour grading.
A nightmarish, vantablack-hued metallic draconic armour with jagged, twisted scales that absorb light, creating an aura of malice. Its head features glowing blood-red eyes that pierce through the darkness. The heavily armoured torso houses three red gems on the chest, kneecaps, and hands, emitting an eerie glow.
The wings unfold as ethereal constructs of radiant light with red edges, casting an otherworldly glow. The muscular limbs end in menacing claws, each fingertip marked by a pulsing red gem. The whip-like tail is adorned with similar gems, creating a macabre pattern.

The Gods and Leaders watched the new Scale Mail in awe, shock and trepidation. The power exuding from the Scale Mail could be felt despite being in a different dimension.
"Such power..." Athena muttered in slight trepidation.
Zeus nodded grimly, "I see why Hades fell..." he murmured.
Poisedon's hands started to tremble a bit, "I see why he acts the way he does... with power such as this..." he mumbled.
On the other hand, Azazel had his eyebrows furrowed in scepticism, "Vermillion?" he asked out loud.
This question snapped Sirzechs out of his concentration, "He must refer to the colour of red on the Scale Mail", he answers, looking at the gems and wings.
Azazel tilted his head side to side, a hand on his chin, "I know that, but that's not Vermillion Red; it's more of a Candy Apple Red..." he said in the same tone.
Serafall nodded, "Yeah, Vermillion Red is more of an Orangey Red", she added.
Odin, who was also observing the form, commented, "I'm guessing Vanta Candy Apple Overdrive didn't have the same ring as Vanta Vermillion Overdrive" he chuckled lightly.
On the battlefield, Ares looked in shock and trepidation at the form.
"How... How can something be so terrifying... I can't comprehend what I'm looking at... yet I can't turn my gaze away... the longer I look..., the less I want to look away..." Ares muttered to himself in a dazed-like state.
Issei stood unmoving in his scale mail, his red eyes glaring into Ares intensely. In the blink of an eye, Issei disappeared and appeared before Ares, his face close to Ares's.
"Careful, Ares, when you stare into the Abyss... the Abyss stares back," Issei says in a hollow tone as he launches a fierce uppercut into Ares's jaw.
The God of War's head snapped back as he was launched into the air, unable to react or comprehend what had just occurred. Two cannons form over Issei's shoulders, the end of the barrel's glowing red, and the barrels seem to rotate, with each ring rotating in counter directions.
BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!
VERMILLION BLASTER!
Ddraig announced as the build-up of energy in the barrels fired a concentrated shot of energy, which seemed to widen the further it travelled, completely covering the entire sky of the dimension. Ares, caught in the blast zone, was instantly teleported out of the dimension, signifying his defeat. In the aftermath of the attack, the entire dimension became unstable as the space-time itself started to crack and rupture around Issei.
Issei deactivated his scale mail as he was also teleported out of the dimension; he then found himself in the arena from which he was initially teleported. In front of him, Ares kneeled, panting and sweating profusely on his knees, clearly in shock from Issei's display of power.
The arena was filled with stunned silence, the air heavy with the aftermath of the battle. The gods and leaders were rendered speechless by the display of power they had just witnessed.
Athena was the first to break the silence. "That... that was beyond anything I've ever seen," she admitted, her analytical demeanour faltering.
Zeus nodded, his usual authoritative presence softened by a rare sense of humility. "Indeed. He possesses a strength that rivals even the mightiest of gods. Hades never stood a chance against such overwhelming force."
Poseidon, still trembling slightly, nodded in agreement. "The Black Dragon Emperor... He is indeed a force to be reckoned with. I can see why Hades met his demise."
Azazel leaned back, crossing his arms with a smirk. "He's got a flair for the dramatic, too. That chant and transformation... he's not just a warrior, he's a performer," he says sarcastically.
Odin chuckled, stroking his beard. "Vanta Vermillion Overdrive, indeed. A fitting name for such a fearsome form, even if the colour isn't quite right," he says thoughtfully.
Serafall, still intrigued by the misnomer, whispered to herself, "Candy Apple Overdrive would have been cute..." she commented.
Sirzechs, on the other hand, remained silent, his mind trying to piece together the implications of such a power. "To think he is still young and was born human, to possess such power despite only being introduced to the Supernatural World not long ago", he thinks, momentarily ignoring Issei's two-year training period.
Issei stood tall in the arena, his breath steady and his expression calm despite the titanic clash he had just endured. The energy from his Vanta Vermillion Overdrive form still lingered in the air, a palpable reminder to the others of his immense power. Issei did not doubt that the rogues, such as the Furies and Nyx and Erebus, were watching or would be watching the battle, which is why he hadn't revealed Double Dimension; he wanted trump cards against his future adversaries.
Ares, kneeling and panting, struggled to come to terms with his defeat. The once-proud god of war now seemed almost mortal in his vulnerability, his eyes wide with a mix of disbelief and grudging respect.
Zeus then appeared in the centre of the arena between Issei and Ares, "Winner, Issei Hyoudou!" he announced, causing the watching crowd to grow wild. The stadium erupted in cheers and applause, and the spectators were in awe of Issei's incredible victory.
Ares slowly got to his feet, his pride bruised but his spirit unbroken. He approached Issei, extending a hand. "You've earned my respect, Issei Hyoudou; your strength is undeniable," Ares said, his voice filled with a newfound humility.
Issei accepted the handshake, his grip firm but respectful. "Thank you, Ares," he replied. "Your power is incredible as well. It was an honour to fight you," he replied in his usual tone.
Azazel, who had arrived with the others on the arena battlefield, had a contemplative look as he stared at Issei. A conversation he had over a month ago replaying in his mind.
"Keep the Red Dragon Emperor on a leash, or I'll kill him."
Azazel remembered the casual words of the Hindu God, Indra, threatening Issei. Back then, Azazel had dreaded those words, but now he could only give off a satisfied smirk, already knowing the outcome of what would happen if Indra and Issei fought.
The memory caused Azazel to scoff, "Issei, you never fail to surprise," Azazel muttered under his breath, his gaze fixed on the scene before him. He had witnessed firsthand the extent of Issei's power and determination, but today's battle had pushed those boundaries further than Azazel had anticipated.
As the crowd continued to cheer, Azazel approached Issei, his expression with admiration. "Impressive as always, Issei," he said, his tone reflecting praise.
Issei turned to Azazel, nodding in acknowledgment. "Thanks, Azazel. What do you think of the new form?" he asked.
Azazel smirked, "Well, you're either colour-blind or have a bad sense of naming..." he answered teasingly.
Issei rolled his eyes, "Hmph, yeah, whatever," he replied dismissively.
X
Issei had left early, knowing that the discussion between the Faction Leaders and the Greek Gods were just negotiations and treaties that would be signed so the Greek Pantheon would be aligned with the 3 Factions and the Norse Pantheon. Issei was already bored out of his mind when he got there; the only interest he got was being informed of the rouges of the Greek Pantheon.
By the time Issei arrived in his dimension, it was already late. He went to his living room, turned on his TV, and put on whatever background sound was needed. As he kicked his feet on the coffee table, he couldn't help but ponder the upcoming challenges.
"The Furies, the Primordial God and Goddess, the Titans, Tartarus, and the monsters within Tartarus... so many challenges, so little time..." he muttered to himself, realising he had his own set of goals that he wanted to accomplish.
Then, there was the whole debacle with the prophecy the Greeks mentioned. Issei did not care in the slightest, as he was opposed to the idea of destiny and fate, yet this prophecy caused an itch in the back of his head as if something was holding back the truth about the prophecy.
