That night, the Combo Rangers went back to Wagan's base with Fabio and his troops, laying in wait just outside. The Mighty Combo decided to head back home to Cubatão, with Fabio sending one of his men to escort him back.

"Fox, no matter what happens, we'll always be with you," said Ken.

"That's right. We've got your back," said Lisa.

"We're not kids anymore," said Tati. "We can look after ourselves."

"Yeah, what are we waiting for? Let's go," said Kiko.

"Thanks, guys. Alright then, let's go." With Fox's words, the Combo Rangers began to head inside.

Meanwhile, Fabio and his troops along with Sara began to lay in wait outside the base. Fabio came over to Sara's position. "You're the most open out of us here. We've each got 20 bullets, no more. Can you see where the explosives are?"

"Yep. Four targets."

"Let's hope they can get out safely." With this, Fabio went to join his troops.

As the Combo Rangers were approaching the base, Kiko asked Fox, "Those sea monsters didn't think we wouldn't come back, did they?"

"Isa's not that stupid. Remember guys, we stick to the plan." The Combo Rangers split up and made their way in.

Inside the command room, Fernando was nervously sitting with a detonator switch while Isa and Nico sat across from him. The Rangers were spotted by the Salacians and they engaged each other in battle. When Fernando was about to turn the switch, Isa stopped him. "Don't touch it. Please, relax yourself. I have everything under control."

The Rangers continued fighting the Salacians as they approached the command room. Just as they managed to gather up, the Salacians began swarming out from the buildings and surrounded them. The Rangers were about to move, but Isa exclaimed, "Freeze!"

Seeing Isa, Fox told the others, "Guys, don't move!"

"Smart move, Fox Fonseca. Look at your feet." Isa lifted the detonator cable to reveal it.

"I never thought you'd be willing to sacrifice your own people, Princess Isa."

"For you, I'd even sacrifice my own life."

"What do you want?" asked Fox.

"What do I want?" Isa put her hand on the switch. "Anything I like."

Prince Wagan came out with his troops. "Well, well. I finally have a chance to meet the Combo Rangers. I must say, I'm a huge fan," he said sarcastically before addressing the Rangers one by one. "Blue Combo Ranger, Kenji Ozora, Eagle Claw. Green Combo Ranger, Frederico Freitas, Man of Steel. Pink Combo Ranger, Tatiana Rosa, Icy Needle. Yellow Combo Ranger, Lisa Lima, Windy Witch. Red Combo Ranger, Fox Fonseca, Nine-Tailed Ace!" With that last line, Wagan jabbed Fox in the stomach with the hilt of his sword and hit him on the shoulder, bringing him to one knee.

The Combo Rangers moved to protect Fox, but he dissuaded them. "All of you, don't move!"

Isa addressed the rest of the Rangers. "Kneel before our aquatic fury!"

Nico walked up and hit Fox on the other knee with his sheathed sword, bringing him down on both his knees. "On your knees, all of you!"

Tati was about to lose her temper when Fox said, "Just do as they say!" Despite their objections, the Rangers knelt down one by one.

"The heroes of Dryland are nothing in our eyes." Wagan was about to unsheathe his sword to kill the Rangers when Isa stopped him.

"Uncle, the Shark King wants to see them first."

"Good. Get your phone out and livestream their execution!" Wagan was about to unsheathe his sword again when a soldier informed him that there was a call from the Shark King. As Wagan went to take the call, Isa ordered the Rangers to be tied up before she went off with her uncle.

Wagan took the call from the Shark King. "This is Penguin Prince Wagan, Your Highness."

"Ahh, Wagan. Congratulations on capturing the Combo Rangers. They have been a real nuisance to the Salacian war effort."

"The credit should go to my niece, Your Highness."

"Point taken. Our troops will advance at dawn tomorrow. I want those Drylanders' heads to be used as a motivation for our troops."

"I'll have them executed and decapitated immediately."

"No. You will do that just before you advance tomorrow. They will be executed before your troops and the goddess Salacia. Their heads will be of more use that way. I'll be at your base tomorrow to witness this glorious moment." With this, the Shark King hung up, smiling.

Isa and Nico went into the dungeon where the Combo Rangers were being kept. They were tied up and hung off the beams in front of a fire; if the carbon monoxide didn't kill them, the radiant heat of the fire in the middle of a warm spring night would. Isa went up to Fox and said to him, "I never thought you would fall so far, Fox Fonseca."

Fox replied, "If we hadn't exposed ourselves, you wouldn't have been able to capture us now."

"Even the best warriors manage to slip up once in a while. It wasn't very smart of you to reveal yourselves before such a big operation. I'm sure you agree. Regardless, you and your friends have now fallen in my hands. What is it you Drylanders say? 'To the victor go the spoils?' I hope that from tomorrow, our rivalry will truly be over."

Fox stayed silent, but Tati made an outburst. "Hey birdy, get over here! I've got something to tell you!" Isa and Nico went over. "You might have won today, but we'll be waiting for you in the depths of hell! I'll bet we won't be able to sleep over all that fire and brimstone, won't we, Kiko?"

"Yeah!" said Kiko. "Look at you! You talk as good as you can sing, and your boyfriend's a dog who's as quiet as a mouse!"

Nico held Kiko by the neck. "Watch your tongue, ruffian!"

"You what? Yeah, go on, man." When Nico just let go of him, Kiko said, "Yeah, that's what I thought. Dogfucked seafuckers!"

"Yeah!" added Tati. "Seafucked dogfuckers! Why don't you just kill us now and be done with it?" Isa slapped Tati in the face, but that didn't stop her. "Come on! Kill us! Just kill us!"

"If you're not going to kill us…" said Ken, "...then why don't you just piss off!"

Despite the Rangers' taunts, Isa and Nico turned around to leave. Isa left some parting words: "Rest assured, you'll get your wish soon enough."

"Not good enough!" yelled Tati. "Kill us now!"

As Isa and Nico came out of the dungeon, Isa told Nico, "I want our task force checking the dungeon every half hour. If any of those Combo Rangers make any sudden moves, kill them."

Back outside, Fabio met back up with Sara. "The Salacians have diverted their defences away from the perimeter," he told her.

Sara replied, "What about the Rangers? I haven't heard anything from them."

"Me neither. I haven't the faintest idea of what's happening in there."

"You don't think… something's happened to them?"

"I don't know, but if so, let's just hope they can get out of it by themselves."

"If nothing's happened, then why have they diverted their defences away?"

"That's what I'm worried about. Let's just stay optimistic for now. I'll see what else I can find out. Don't make any sudden moves."

As Fabio went off, Sara thought to herself, "I know you'll be safe, Rangers. I just know it."
