Nettaiurin no buzoku

Tribe of the rainforest

Long ago before Nina ever existed, in the rainforest lay a tribe descendants of the great guardians.

There were Nine tribes.

The Desert tribe, they paid their respects to the great Tanuki, Shukaku. They were made of people that control sand, vicious claws, and spiky tails.

The sky tribe, they paid their respects to the great Bakeneko, Matatabi. Their people had immense strength, and a tail made of blue fire.

The sea tribe, they paid their respects to the great Turtle, Isobu. Their people harbored thick scale like skin, and the ability to breathe under water.

The volcano tribe, they paid their respects to the great Monkey, Son Goku. Their people had coal black skin, and were able to pour lava from their skin.

The stone tribe, they paid their respects to the great Horse Dolphin, Kokuo. Their people were extremely pale, had long dolphin like tails, and could control water. I think it's pretty cool how a tribe can live underwater.

The fog tribe, they paid their respects to the great Slug, Saiken. They were a peaceful tribe, but they lived in a slime covered environment ew, anyways. They were a healer tribe.

The waterfall tribe, they paid their respects to the great Kabutomushi, Chomei. These people didn't have a lot of unique outwards appearances, but they controlled the bugs and were an informant tribe of sorts.

The cloud tribe, they paid their respects to the great Ushi-oni, Gyuki. Their people had horns, immense strength, and specialized in ink art.

But not to brag, my tribe is…. Well, was the best tribe to ever exist.

The rainforest tribe, we respected the great fox, Kurama. My people varied between tan, and dark chocolate brown. We had long tails, and our skin was marked with velvet like markings, the color of Kurama. We had the ability to create shockwaves, and breathe fire.

Kurama was such a sweet guardian, and protector. But then, those NINJA came. People do the damndest things when they don't understand, or are afraid when power is not theirs.

One by one, each tribe lost their guardian, each tribe was found and slaughtered. We thought ours would never go down, but sometimes power can make an ego go sky high.

My parents were able to hide, and flee when Kurama was taken. When my people were slaughtered mercilessly.

I am here to tell my story, and how I met Kuramas container. How I was able to meet my guardian, and how I fell in love with his Container.

NARUTO UZUMAKI.

The day was like any other for Konoha, well everyone but Naruto. It was his birthday and while others celebrated theirs he hid. For on this day the villagers rallied together to hurt him, and to remind him of the monster he is.

Why was he the monster? Did he not bleed like the others?

It didn't matter to them, but he wanted to be left without any scars this time. He didn't understand how they always found him, and why they hurt him more and more each time.

So here he was running through the forest, with a group of angry villagers gaining on him. Probably because of the large gash on his calf, he knew he would not have a peaceful birthday. So when he fell he curled in on himself ready to bear the pain once again.

. . . .

Why weren't they hurting him?

He slowly uncurled, wincing as he stood and turning around. He felt his blood run cold at the scene before him. There was blood everywhere, pieces of the group scattered about, and guts littered the forest floor.

He felt his breath hitch as he struggled to breathe, fear he had never felt before racing through his veins. What had killed them?

Well he got his answer when he felt a chilly breath behind him. Painfully slow he forced his head to turn, looking into the blood red eyes of something. He felt his knees buckle under the fear of what stood before him, he was going to die, and he'd never get to be hokage, or have a family. Big fat tears rolled down his face as he looked at the being before him.

It opened its jaws to reveal rows and rows of sharp blood stained teeth, and the smell. Oh it was revolting, he squeezed his eyes shut as pitiful whimpers escaped his throat.

The creature lunged forward as the air moved, an arrow shot through the air a nasty

crunch and squelch

Resonating around the boy who flinched in surprise his eyes flying open. He cried in fear at the open maw mere inches from his face, and crawled back. He felt his breath hitch as his back hit something, he hoped it was a tree, but the trees out here were not small. So with a small prayer he looked up, almost sighing in relief as green eyes greeted him.

"I uh, uhm. Thank you for saving me!" He stumbled over to the retreating figure, before falling back on his behind as she faced him lips pulled back in a snarl, revealing sharp canines.

"You do not thank! This is sad, very sad." She said while gesturing to the animal.

"That, that thing was going to kill me. If it's so sad, why didn't you just let it eat me?" Dumbfounded anger raced through his veins at her words. How could she say that? He would have died and she's saying it's sad she had to kill it?

She looked away for a second before her greet met blue, "The guardian told me to save, you are. Strong." She said, her face softening, before it screwed up in annoyance.

"But stupid, ignorant like child." She hissed before turning and stalking away. Leaving behind a stupefied Naruto, before he shook his head and hobbled after the girl.

"Wait, how am I stupid, and uhm ignorant?" He asked dumbly.

She turned to meet his gaze, and he stopped as well. "You thank for death, and do not mourn the mother of kits," she said as she moved a bush back to reveal a litter of black skinned kittens.

Naruto felt his breath stop at the newly orphaned kittens, realization dawning on him. The big cat wasn't trying to kill him, it was giving him a warning to leave. That's why all the villagers were killed.

"I...I had no idea. I'm so, so sorry." He said mournfully, tears welling in his eyes unable to look away from the kittens.

"I will take home, and raise. This forest is dangerous to newly born. Come, follow, I take care of wound." She grunted, picking up the litter before walking away.

Naruto gulped before hobbling after the girl, slightly apprehensive. But, he owed it to those babies, to show that he was sorry.

After a long trek, and few verbal lashings they arrived near a log cabin. Naruto stared in awe at the moss covered cabin, flowers in full bloom here and there, dozens of fireflies glowing about. Only one word described the scene before him.

Beautiful.

Shaking his head he walked into the cabin watching the cloaked girl bustle around the quarters.

"sit there." She pointed to a sofa not looking at the boy. Too busy throwing what looked like herbs into a mortar, and crushing them into a fine paste.

He sat down wincing as the pain of his bruises and the slash settled into his body. He looked up at the girl walked over to him telling him to take his clothes off. He felt his body grow hot as she literally ripped his shirt and jacket off him.

"what are you doing!!?" He trembled, face aglow in red.

"I am treating wounds. You act like I will do bad, fine I make even." She scoffed before shedding her cloak. If there were the possibility of a new discovery of red, Naruto was the maker.

Standing before him was a tall girl, chocolate brown skin with red jagged velvet markings dotting her body. Long hair falling in tight curls pulled into a ponytail, her chest covered by a makeshift top made of brown hide, along the hem were long jagged canines, and she wore a long skirt thong made of the same hide. A tail lazily swishing behind her, twitching every so often. Her face had four red markings, pointy elf like ears, and bright green cat-like eyes.

a noise left his throat as an unknown emotion he had never felt before fluttered through his heart.

"we are even. Yes?" She asked, before grabbing at the paste. A couple hisses, and yelps of pain later, Naruto was covered here and there by bandages.

"uhm. Thank you for helping me, but uhm, what are you?" He asked slowly. Not noticing her face screw up slightly.

"I am from great fox tribe, your kind took our guardian, slaughtered my people, and just when my family was safe. They came back and slaughtered my family. If the forest did not tell me to protect, I would have let you die." She hissed in anger, and anguish.

"I'm sorry. But, I can't really claim that I'm one of them. They call me the demon fox, every year on my birthday the villagers and sometimes the ninja chase me and beat me until I can't move. I never had a fa-amily, or parents. I'm sorry, please don't hate me too." His voice quivered at the memories, as tears tugged at his eyes. He just wanted a friend.

He looked up when she came over laying a warm hand on his shoulder, remorse evident on her face.

"I am sorry, I should not have let my anger be strong. I do not blame you, we are children, and I should not hate. It is ah, lonely in forest." She said avoiding his eyes, and hoping he understood the hint.

"I can, I can come back. Can we be friends? Please?" He asked hopefully, eyes big as he stared at the girl.

"I am Jiyuna Seishin. Uhm, I would like a friend, I show you ways of forest." She said as a tingly sensation of excitement settled in her heart.

With a shout of excitement Naruto jumped up and hugged the girl, who froze from the hug, "This is great, my names Naruto Uzumaki!" He beamed at the stunned girl.

So tell me how you feel about this. I'm not too great at writing stories, but uh ta-da.

So I did also mesh a little bit of Avatar, the pandora Avatar in here. Just the animals though, I think they are awesome.
