Klaus didn't know how it ended like this. He knew that according to the prophecy they would be betrayed by a friend, family and foe but he had no idea that after everything, Marcel wanted to destroy them. Klaus could still remember the day he met Marcel and how much he saw himself in the boy.

"Klaus," He heard a familiar voice saying.

"Caroline," Klaus answered, stunned. He can't even remember the last time he heard Caroline's voice but from all the times he imagined her coming to his town. This wasn't one of them.

"What are you doing here, love?" He eventually asked, trying not to show how much her presence affected him.

"Did Marcel invite you here to watch my demise?" Klaus didn't want to even think that she would do something like that but he couldn't help it after Caroline just looked at him without answering his question. It wasn't like he was some kind of hero in her story.

"I don't even know who she is," Marcel stated, having no idea who the blonde vampire was.

"Then what are you doing here, Caroline?" Klaus couldn't help but ask again.

"You wouldn't believe me even if I told you," Caroline told him sadly. She didn't like how Klaus thought that she'd be part of whatever all these vampires were wanting to do to him.

"Go away, Katerina," Elijah Mikaelson said, being sick and tired of the delusions he was getting about his ex- lover because of the wolf venom. Why was it that every time he had wolf venom in his system he was dreaming about the women he loved and felt like he had betrayed.

"So you don't want the cure, then?" Katherine asked behind Elijah, holding the cure in her hand. "Not that you deserve it after not even mourning my death."

"You're not real," Was all Elijah said.

"I can always just leave you to rot, you know?" Katherine asked angrily. She couldn't believe that she was willing to be here after how little she clearly meant to him. "You forgot me pretty quickly after meeting your werewolf girlfriend, after all."

"What are you really doing here, Caroline?" Klaus felt like he was repeating himself but he was ready to ask however many times it took to get an actual answer from the woman he still couldn't forget even after all this time. He has tried his best to move on with Cami but she wasn't Caroline Forbes.

"Enough of this!" Marcel yelled, getting fed up from being an outsider of this conversation, not knowing anything about this vampire. He didn't care who she was. He just wanted to get this over and done with. "It's time for you to pay for your sins, Klaus.

Caroline couldn't do anything but put her hands to her mouth as she saw vampires from Klaus' sire line first put a stake to his back and then to his heart.

"Oh my God. Oh my God!" Caroline was too shocked to do anything to help the hybrid.

"Klaus," Caroline said as she slowly took her hands out from on top of her mouth and Klaus just screamed in pain.

"Oh, my God. No," Caroline moved her hands to the top of her head before finally crying for somebody to help her. She had no idea how she would be able to help him. All the vampires there were much older than she was.

"What is taking you so long?" Katherine asked on the phone not that much later. "You were supposed to get Klaus."

"And how am I supposed to do that, Katherine?" Caroline cried out. "I think some guy just killed him."

"Don't be stupid," Katherine stated. "Are you so blonde that you forgot that he can only be killed by White Oak stake?"

"What do you want me to do? Kidnap his unconscious body while trying not to be killed by vampires way older than me?" Caroline asked sarcastically.

"Yes. I already cured Elijah but I need to cure the rest of his siblings, so you better get here soon."

"He's going to be alright, right?" Caroline worried.

"Feeling better?" Katherine asked Elijah after getting out of the phone with the vampire she turned and after healing two other Mikaelsons.

"I thought I was hallucinating you," Elijah stated. "You were dead."

"I thought you loved me, Elijah and you didn't even come to say goodbye," Katherine said, crossing her arms. Katherine thought that she was over Elijah after he took the cure and chose his brother over her once again and she realized that she still loved Stefan. Thinking about it now, made her realize that her feelings for Stefan were more like an obsession than actual love.

"Katerina."

"Never mind," Katherine said, realizing that she didn't really want to hear any excuses. It wouldn't change anything about what happened. "I cured Kol and your new sister. Caroline should come back soon with Klaus."

"I needed to move on, Katerina."

"Mission accomplished," Katherine said angrily and before Elijah knew what he was doing, he was kissing her. Katherine put her hands behind his head and deepened the kiss. Elijah moved his hands from her neck to between her breasts and not soon after Katherine jumped and put her legs behind his back. Elijah turned them against the door.

"Who is she?" Hayley asked Kol. She of course knew who Katherine was but what she really wanted to know was who she was to Elijah.

"Katherine? She's fun and also looks exactly like Elijah's first love," Kol answered as he poured himself a drink.

"So she's Tatia's doppelganger?" Hayley asked without turning her eyes from her drink.

"Yes, one of them and Elijah has been in love with her ever since she was human," Kol stated, not caring what the woman in front of him was feeling. Hayley might be his niece's mother but he didn't care about her. All he wanted now that he was back to get Davina back from the dead.

"That's not true," Hyaley turned to look at Kol. "Elijah told me a long time ago that he has only loved two women before me; Tatia and Celeste."

"And has he ever even mentioned Katherine to you?" Kol paused. "I didn't think so."

Thankfully the vampires didn't leave an actual guard or anything with Klaus. They were too busy celebrating and Caroline was able to take him to his siblings. Caroline decided to go to the room Klaus was laying in a bed in while Hayley and Kol were talking but was surprised to see someone there already.

"Sorry I didn't think anyone was here," Caroline told the girl in the room.

"It's fine. Who are you?"

"Caroline Forbes and you are?" Caroline asked, crossing her arms.

"So you're the girl that saved Klaus," The girl stated. "I'm his sister, Freya."

"I didn't know he had another sister," Caroline told her, hoping that she would get along better with this sister than with Rebekah.

"No one really did. My siblings thought I died before Elijah was born," Freya informed her.

"I'm sorry, Hayley," Hayley heard a familiar voice say as she was crying on the floor.

"It's your fault, you know?" Hayley told the girl that seemed to always ruin everything for her. First, with Tyler and now with Elijah.

"Tell me. How is it my fault that your boyfriend slept with Katherine?" Caroline asked, putting both of her hands in a fist in front of herself.

"You brought her here. We were all happier before you showed up, even Klaus was happier," Hyaley stated, not believing a word she was saying but wanting to hurt the other girl. She was used to Elijah always putting her before anyone, even his own brother and now the whole house could hear him having sex with someone else.

"Seriously?" Caroline shouted. "You're really going to blame me for your misery?" Caroline couldn't understand why Hayley was blaming her when she did nothing and Hyaley never even got punished for everything she did back in Mystic Falls. Instead she got a new family and the protection of the Mikaelsons.

"Niklaus, You're awake," Freya said as Klaus started sitting down in the bed.

"Did Hayley find the cure already?" Klaus asked after having a weird dream where Caroline was the one to save him.

"No. It was a blond vampire and her brunette friend that saved us," Freya said, confused, thinking he already talked with Caroline.

"Blond vampire?" Klaus asked, shocked.

"She told me her name was Caroline."

Caroline was walking away from Hayley, angrily and not understanding the other girl when she saw Klaus in front of her.

"Hello, love," Klaus smiled.

"Klaus," Caroline cried happily and running to him, "You're OK:"

"You're really here," Klaus hugged her.

"I'm here," Caroline told him, hugging him and closing her eyes. She was so relieved that he was really OK after seeing what was done to him.

"I missed you." Klaus said, closing his eyes too and smelling the unique smell that was Caroline.

"I missed you, too," Caroline told him, still hugging and smiling at being able to save him.

"Will you finally tell me what you're doing here?" Klaus asked and finally took a step back from her, no matter how much he would have rather kept holding her.

"Hayley called me. I guess she was desperate to give Hope her family back."

"And you came?" Klaus asked, smirking a little bit.

"Of course I came," Caroline said, like it was obvious. "And maybe you can finally show me your city and we can get back at those vampires that hurt you."

"And how long will you be staying?" Klaus asked, caressing her cheek.

"I'm in no hurry to go back to Mystic Falls," Caroline told him before kissing him on the lips, her hands on the back of his neck. What was hybrid to do when the vampire she had wanted ever since he cured his vampire bite but to kiss her back and show her why she should stay in his town instead of going back.
