Xander followed Andy and Daryl down the hall as the manager of the building Darla, the manager of Fine Romance, witch turned succubus turned pile of ash lived in. The three men were discussing their plans for the rest of the day, after they finished their business.

"I haven't had a gun in my hands since I left Sunnydale." Xander commented. "I did wonder if Cordy's dad would consider shooting me at one point, which is not the end of the gun I want to be on."

"It's a natural thought though when it comes to your girlfriend's father." Daryl said.

"I wouldn't know." Andy said. "I had to deal with Grams. Very scary lady when she wanted to be."

"So I've heard." Xander smirked. "Anyway, some time on a shooting range is an activity I'd be fine with, but as I told Phoebe, pounding the crap out of the bags at a boxing gym is also a possibility."

"We could all watch a game at my place." Andy offered.

"Only problem with that is that I don't have any interest in sports." Xander said. "My stint on the swim team, not withstanding. Which mainly impressed Cordy."

"Yeah, I'm more for a gym than watching sports myself." Daryl informed them.

"A movie with lots of explosions and guns." Andy suggested.

"I like that one." Xander agreed.

"So do I." Daryl agreed.

"Then we save visiting the gun range for another day and see what's playing downtown." Andy decided, as they arrived at the penthouse suite Darla lived in. "Thank you, you don't need to wait for us." Andy addressed the manager after he'd unlocked the door. "I will warn you that the suite does belong to a murder suspect, a forensic team will be by later to process it. We'll lock up when we leave."

"I'll let them in." The manager nodded and left them to their business and the three men entered the suite.

"Swanky." Xander whistled. "How the Hell did she afford this on a Manager's salary?" Admiring the huge, one bedroom suite with a great view of the city.

"She actually owned Fine Romance, she just told people she managed it, opened it a few months ago." Andy answered as they each pulled on gloves and began searching for the egg sacks that Phoebe had seen though the connection with the succubus.

"She created her own hunting ground." Xander realized. "She planned this for quite awhile."

"Looks like it." Daryl agreed. "Forensics should be able to find evidence of the men having been in the apartment and that links them to her. Not having her body or a living person to arrest means she'll be listed as on the run, be on the lockout, but at least we can know she's not killing anymore." As he opened the closet in the foyer, checking for the egg sacks and Andy headed towards the bathroom to check there, returning to the living room almost immediately.

"One cupboard," he reported. "Empty, she didn't live here, she killed here." He decided.

"She set this place up for the express purpose of seducing and killing her victims." Xander moved toward the bedroom as Daryl and Andy began searching the cupboards in the kitchen, finding them empty as well. In the bedroom Xander found a stand alone wardrobe and grimaced at what he found there.

"Found it!" He called and the other two men responded and also grimaced when they saw the egg sacks hanging in the wardrobe.

"They look just like the mantis demon's." Xander glared at them, flashing back to being in that cage and listening to Blaine tell him about the other teenager the mantis demon had already killed. "Big and gross." He pulled a bag out of his pocket and shook it out as Andy carefully lifted the egg sack out, it couldn't be left for the forensic people to find and needed to be properly disposed of. A search under the bed and the couch, just to be safe, yielded nothing except dust bunnies and the three men left, locking up behind them as they'd promised the manager.

"So where exactly are you disposing of it?" Daryl asked as they made their way to Andy's car.

"Garbage can somewhere between here and the theater." Xander answered, as he set the bag on the ground in front of the front, right tire of Andy's car and waited while he drove over it. "Heavy duty plastic bag, the now defunct eggs won't even leak." He said, after checking that they'd all been squished and resealing it. "We just toss it in and go enjoy the rest of our day. We didn't find any eggs at the Fine Romance building and as far as we know, she had no other place she might have any hidden, so I think we can call this a closed case."

"From the supernatural end." Andy agreed, as he merged into traffic, after Daryl and Xander had joined him in the car. "Our end won't be done until the forensics come back. And maybe not even then if they find anything new."

"Still, I'm thinking I was right when I told Phoebe this feels like an actual job, hunting demons, verses what I did back in Sunnydale, which was really more of a vengeance quest, given what vampires did to people who mattered to me. Which was because Mayor Wilkins turned Sunnydale into a feeding ground for them. With him destroyed and things in Sunnydale improving, I don't think going back is an option for me. It's the past and San Francisco is where my future is."

"It's a good place to live." Daryl agreed. "So, which movie should we see?"

Which sparked a debate between the three men who were becoming friends.
