Dragon Warriors
in Get ready to Rumblehorn
In was the dead of night in East Liverpool, and the Warriors are on the lookout for something. The rest of the Warriors and their dragons are asleep, except for Vault and Scar since it's now their turn to be in lookout.
Vault is struggling to stay awake, while Scar is waiting for something so he can wake the Warriors. And that's where he heard a net capturing something, Scar growled at Vault, but he fell asleep. So he fired at is butt, which causes Vault to scream in pain and that scream woke up the Warriors, and Vault sat in a bucket of water to douse the flame and he sighed in relief.
"Let's go Warriors! It's at the east side." said Connor, and they mounted their dragons to see what they caught.
They landed at the east side of the city and spotted the creature struggling to get out of the net.
"We got it!" Luu Luu cheered.
"You got what?!" the creature revealed to be King Charles. Which surprised the Warriors
"We got trouble." Connor said in fear. And Charles grabbed his sword and cut himself out of the net.
"Charles, we thought you were the Rumblehorn." said Grave.
"Rumblehorn? What's a Rumblehorn?" Charles questioned.
"It's a new dragon that's been chasing everyone out of the city." Claudia explained.
"And we've been trying to catch it and relocate it." Alicia explained.
"Ha! You can't capture a dragon with a net on its own. You have to work together to capture it." said Charles.
Later the Warriors and Charles flew to the other side of the city, and there they spotted that the Rumblehorn did a place at the market area.
"You have got to be kidding me!" said Maia in frustration, as she and the others got off of their dragons.
"The Rumblehorn must have hit this place while we were chasing Charles." said Alicia.
"As much as I love to capture a dragon, it will have to wait." said Charles. "I've come with disturbing news about my son, William." he said to Connor.
"Is he alright?" Connor said.
"He's fine." answered Charles. "But his personality isn't. I've never seen him like this. Angry, shouting at everyone." He explained.
"That sounds like the Great Prince to me." Connor suggested.
"You think I would go out in the middle of the night if it were William the Great Prince? He's driving the city crazy!" corrected Charles.
"Alright, I see your point." said Connor.
The next day, Connor and Shade are in the city to find any William-related incidents.
"Nothing around here." said Connor.
"SILLY WORKMANSHIP! THAT'S WHAT THIS IS!"
"OK, let's follow the sound of the angry prince." Connor said to Shade, and they headed to the university.
"I said I wanted these books arranged by order!" William complained, and he threw a bunch of books out, which Connor and Shade avoided. "History, math, science, and zoology." he said, then William left the building grumbling.
"If I used them on you, you wouldn't forget how fascinating they were!" William yelled, and he left while grumbling.
"Connor, thank goodness you're here." said Peter Bread. "You've got to help us. That guy has become unbearable!" he said to Connor.
"Well to be fair, Peter, you did have the books out of order." Connor replied.
"That's because yesterday he told me to arrange the them by length! The day before it was by painting! And the day before that, it was by name! Did you know he gave each writing utensil its own nickname?" Peter explained.
"Well I have to admit, that is really weird." said Connor looking surprised. "I'll go talk to him." he said as he and Shade left.
"I mean, seriously. Who names their pen Bob?"
Meanwhile, the Warriors and Charles are tracking the Rumblehorn all over the city, and on the ground Grave analyzed the footprints left by the Rumblehorn.
"The width and the depth of the footprints and the distance, I'd say that the Rumblehorn is strong. Strong enough to knock down a building." Grave analyzed.
"Then we must build a wall so it won't damage anymore buildings." said Charles.
Back with Connor and Shade, they're watching William complaining to the Rainbooms.
"You plow like a bunch of girls!" William said to the Rainbooms.
"We are girls." said Rainbow Dash. Then William grabbed the plow.
"This is how you plow!" William demonstrated, he plowed the field a he grumbled.
Then Applejack grabbed Connor at the back of his neck and dragged him to the others.
"Girls! I don't know what he's talking about. I love your plowing." said Connor, but the Rainbooms weren't buying it. "You're the best plowers in East Liverpool." he said.
"William is out of control!" Twilight complained.
"Yes, I agree he's totally out of control." Connor said in defeat.
"He's acting like a spoiled brat!" yelled Applejack.
"Watch the language. He's still the prince." he said to Applejack. "I'll talk to him." And Connor and Shade left.
"See that you do!" said Rarity.
Later at New Rad, William is practicing with his bow, he fired an arrow but he missed the target. He kept firing but he always missed, and the Terror who was watching it laughed which causes William to groan in frustration.
"Hey William." Connor greeted.
"Oh, it's you." William turned.
"What are you doing?" asked Connor.
"I came up here to get peace and quiet." explained William. "Tired of hearing people complaining. 'William, you're being too tough. William, you're being too picky. William, you're cutting off my air supply.'" he complained as he polishes Wavelength's old saddle.
"Hey! Is that Wavelength's old saddle?" Connor noticed.
"Yeah, just because one dragon is gone doesn't mean I'm going to let a piece of equipment to fall apart." aid William.
"Your highness, I, don't mean to interrupt." a maid came. "But I've got those weapons arranged by deadliness, just like you wanted them." she said.
"And who said I wanted them that way?" William complained. "Does anyone around here listen?!" he snapped, until Connor got in his way.
"Hold it William, I have a great idea." said Connor.
"If it involves me shooting an arrow at her head, let's hear it." William threatened, and this caused the maid to flee in fear.
"I was thinking something a little more relaxing." suggested Connor. "Something to take the edge off?" he said.
"Edge? What edge?" William asked in anger. Which causes Connor to raise in eyebrow, and he does have a point, so William sighed. "Okay, I'm listening." he said.
Later back at the city, the Warriors finished building a wall so the Rumblehorn won't get in to do more damage.
"I sure hope this wall can hold." said Grave. And then they heard a roar.
"It's coming from the west!" said Vault.
"And it's getting closer!" said Prim.
The Warriors mounted their dragons, except for Grave because Bomber accidentally left him behind.
"Aw, dragon droppings." Grave groaned. And then he heard an impact coming from the other side of the wall, and there's no movement from the boulders. "It worked!" he smiled. But then pebbles fell on top of him, Grave looked up and saw a few boulders moving and they started to fall down, this shocked Grave and the boulders piled onto him.
The Warriors witnessed it in shock, they flew down to see if Grave is alright.
"Grave! Are you alright?" said Kaguya. Then Grave came out of the boulders with a dizzy look on his face.
"Don't worry. I'm OK." said Grave, and he went unconscious. He's not OK.
"Well at least the wall held out." said Luu Luu. Then Shade, Connor, and William came, they landed and got off of Shade.
"Is anyone hurt?" asked Connor.
"We're fine. Except for Grave." said Maia, who pointed at the unconscious Grave.
"You weren't kidding about these Rumblehorn attacks." said William in shock.
"Alicia, you and Prim search in the east." ordered Connor. "Maia, Claudia, you two search in the west. Vault, Luu Luu, Kaguya, you take Grave back to the catacombs to treat his injuries. Me and William will take the middle of the city." he ordered.
The two teams of Warriors began searching for the Rumblehorn, but they haven't found it. Not even a scale. But what they didn't know, is that the Rumblehorn can be heard growling behind a building as it watches Alicia and Prim.
Meanwhile, Connor and William are waiting for the Rumblehorn to show up.
"I tell ya Connor, I missed flying." said William.
"No kidding." Connor said to William.
"Yeah. But when did the city start having this Rumblehorn problem?" he asked.
"A few weeks ago." Connor answered. "It first went after wild dragons and next everyone in East Liverpool." he explained.
"How many dragons and people did it kill?" asked William.
"None, thank goodness. But this dragon is more than just being strong, it's fast, smart, and elusive." Connor explained.
And then they heard growling, they turned and spotted the Rumblehorn, which is the size of a rhino. It ran towards them to attack, but Connor threw a net to catch it, but the Rumblehorn avoided it and continue to ran. Then William lassoed the rope onto its horn and he jumped and mounted onto the dragon.
The Rumblehorn flew up and spin around to get William off, but he wouldn't let go. It spun faster, and faster, and faster until William finally let go and he started to fall. But Shade caught him just in time, and yet again the Rumblehorn escaped.
Later that evening, the Warriors regrouped to come up with another plan to stop the Rumblehorn. Then both Connor, Shade, and William appeared.
"Did you find the Rumblehorn?" asked Claudia.
"Actually, the Rumblehorn found us." answered Connor.
"Well that's a first." said Maia.
"Let's resupply and go look for it again." said Connor.
"Actually, we already found it." Alicia pointed. They turned and spotted the Rumblehorn flying towards them.
"Just our luck." said Connor, and the Warriors mounted their dragon, while William mounted Shade.
"Who knew it could track as well." said William as the dragons flew up. The dragons began blasting at the Rumblehorn, but it avoided the blasts, and it flew right past them, without attacking.
"Why didn't it attack?" questioned Prim.
"Because it's following him." answered Connor. And they spotted the Rumblehorn going after Christopher who was minding his own business. "Shade! Plasma Blast!" he said, then Shade blasted at the Rumblehorn but it dodged it. It landed and ran right towards Christopher.
The rest of the dragons began to blast the Rumblehorn but their attacks have no effect on it.
"It maybe powerful, but it doesn't have a taste for blood." said William.
"Not yet, it looks like we have no other choice." said Connor. And just as Shade was about to do the unthinkable, William thought of something, until he spotted a few Night Terrors flying away, and William thought of something.
"Wait!" yelled William as he shoves Shade's head, which causes him to miss the shot.
Christopher was walking the street until he heard stomping, he turned and spotted the Rumblehorn and it roared at him, which causes Christopher to scream in fright and shock causes him to pass out.
"If that dragon wanted to hurt people, he'd done it by now. There's something else." William suggested. "Put me down next to him." he said. Then Shade landed in front of the Rumblehorn and William got off to confront it.
"What do you really want?" he asked the Rumblehorn. The Rumblehorn turned to the river like it's trying to warn the Warriors, and it communicate with the dragons, and then they flew up.
Connor took out a periscope to get a better look, and then he spotted the Ancient Guardians.
"It's the Ancient Guardians! And they're gonna attack the city!" said Connor.
"That's why the Rumblehorn was getting everyone to leave." William appeared with the Rumblehorn. "He was trying to save us from an attack." he explained.
"But how are we gonna stop an army of Ancient Guardians?" Alicia asked.
William began to think until he spotted a dilapidated building and the Rumblehorn.
"Guys, I got an idea." said William, and he and the Rumblehorn flew towards the building. "Hit it hard!" he yelled.
And then the Rumblehorn rammed into the building, and the force was powerful enough to cause the building to fall into the river to create a tsunami. And the Ancient Guardians witnessed it in shock, as they've been doused by the waves and the water caused their weapons to malfunction.
"Calvin! Why didn't you tell us our weapons aren't waterproof?" asked Victor.
"You didn't ask." answered Calvin.
"I didn't ask?" Victor sighed. And the Ancient Guardians retreated.
The next day, William is flying with the Rumblehorn that he trained while the Warriors watched.
"I cannot believe it." said Grave who has recovered from injury. "If that Rumblehorn hadn't warned us, East Liverpool could've been destroyed." he said.
"And he even made an attraction." said Vault, and they turned and spotted the people using the fallen building as a jumping platform for diving into the river.
"That dragon is amazing." said Charles.
"You can say that again dad." said William as he landed.
"You know this could be a whole new class of dragons. Tracker Class." said Grave.
"Sounds like a great name to add in the Book of Dragons." said Beardsley.
"That's great. And I found out why William was having issues, he misses Wavelength." Connor explained.
"Yeah, I do miss him. But Wavelength can never be replaced, but Wrecker and I have a lot in common." said William with a smile. And the causes Charles to smile knowing that he has his son back.
"Alright Warriors, we have a lot of work to do before Origa or the Ancient Guardians can get to us first." said Connor which causes the Warriors to smile.
