Surprise! A new addendum! A little different given I'm introducing new characters and new variants. It's short I admit but hopefully you'll enjoy it.
Earth-121512: Megadale
Driving through the streets of Megadale, a red Freightliner FL86 semi-trailer truck with a gray trailer on the back cruised along the road. Not going too fast but not going slow either.
A few blocks away from where the truck rode, however, a black cat was stuck in a tree with a brown skinned Indigenous little girl too small to get her down. The cat meowed helplessly as she was afraid to jump down.
"Thomasina!" The girl cried out. "Please come down!"
"Please!" The little girl then shouted around the area. "Please someone save my cat! Please someone save Thomasina!"
As her luck had it however, the truck pulled over next to the little girl and the tree.
"Huh?" The little girl made a noise of confusion.
To her shock however, and the cat Thomasina herself, the truck then transformed. Now it had legs, arms and a head.
The robot gently approached the cat in the tree and folded his hand, save for his index finger and placed it under the branch the cat climbed onto.
The cat Thomasina sensed the apparent gentle nature of the robotic being and jumped down onto the finger-downright clinging on.
The little girl stared in amazement at the robot and how easily the robot managed to get the cat to trust him. The robot gently placed his finger next to the girl, to which the cat jumped into her arms.
She grabbed the cat and hugged the animal like no tomorrow out of love and relief.
"Thank you, Mr. Robot!" The little girl shouted at the giant robot with gratitude.
The robot in response gave a thumbs up before transforming back into truck mode.
With that, the now transformed truck drove off as the little girl waved goodbye.
"Mom!" The little girl screamed in excitement as she raced back into an apartment building with the cat Thomasina in tow. "Mom! You won't believe what happened!!"
The truck as he drove down noticed something amiss from across.
Around the downtown area, the truck stopped for a moment to witness a peculiar sight.
The truck witnessed two colorful individuals flying around. One who looked like a young girl dressed in pink and the other, a boy dressed in blue. Both were wearing capes which indicated they were superheroes.
Laser eyes fired from the skull with the truck surveying the sight as if the truck had to digest what was happening in disbelief.
Finally, the truck started again and drove straight toward the battlefield.
"This is pretty basic even by his standards!" Said Guy Hamdom, otherwise known as the superhero SheZow, avoided another laser blast as he referred to his arch nemesis Mega Monkey.
"Sometimes the best plans are simplistic!" Mega Monkey said through a loudspeaker from the mech.
"That's just rich coming from a monkey!" Retorted Gal Hamdom, otherwise known as the superhero Dudepow.
The primate did not take the insult well as he fired missiles from the finger tips of the robot.
Shezow and Dudepow immediately took action to prevent the missiles from hitting any cities or the ground. Especially as Guy's cousin and his friend, Kelly and Mal respectively as they watched the battle closely.
DudePow slapped away two missiles up into the sky where they collided with each other and exploded. Whereas SheZow used their super sonic scream to blow up two more.
Kelly and Mal braced themselves as they recoiled before DudePow managed to throw the missiles.
Suddenly, Kelly and Mal heard the sound of a loud horn. They and everyone else saw the red truck speeding toward the giant robot.
"Yo, dude!" Shezow and Dudepow cried out to the truck. "Move!"
The truck rammed into the leg of the mech, the impact caused it to recoil a bit.
"What the devil?!" Mega Monkey exclaimed in shock at the truck for daring to fight him.
The truck then began to literally drive circles around the giant robot. The mech fired lasers at the truck but the vehicle kept avoiding the shots. All lasers hitting the pavement instead much to the chagrin of the monkey.
"What is that guy in the truck even doing?" Kelly asked aloud out of confusion.
"Hold still!" Mega Monkey growled as he continued to fire.
Shezow and Dudepow attempted to save who they thought was the driver in the truck. Yet everytime they flew near the truck, the vehicle swerved to another turn as if there was something to hide.
"What's with this guy?!" Shezow asked, to which Dudepow could only reply with a shrug.
"Enough of this tomfoolery!" The monkey said out of annoyance as he continued to fire lasers from the fingertips of the mech.
Whoever was in the truck was beginning to irritate him. And he wanted to destroy him.
Finally, the mech began to try to stomp on the truck but once again, the vehicle made multiple turns to avoid getting stepped on and even drove backwards to which the mech almost tripped over.
"Who are you?!" Mega Monkey screeched as hecwas fully prepared to tear his fur out of frustration.The truck stopped and revved up his engines as if he were goading the primate. Finally, the truck drove forward again as he head straight toward the mech.
"Come out of that annoying vehicle and show yourself if you're feeling that brave and fight me!" Mega Monkey shouted through the intercom.
"Then it's time for me to bring the fight to you!" The truck exclaimed.
To the shock of everyone, the truck transformed. The trailer from behind was released and left on the road. The transformed truck revealed himself to be a giant robot. With the color scheme of red and blue and with sections of white and a mouth guard plate on where the mouth was and on one of the shoulders was a symbol of a robotic looking face.
Shezow and the others reacted in shock at the sight before them. The truck was a giant robot the entire time. Even their jaws dropped down upon seeing the robot transform.
"That was...unexpected." Mega Monkey said before he recovered from the shock. "Nevertheless I shall..."
Suddenly, he saw that the robot took out a large rifle and fired off each of the finger tips from Mega Monkey's mech.
"What the?!" He sputtered before shouting, "You can't do that!"
"I'm afraid I just did!" The robot responded defiantly, a bit cheeky in tone.
Then the robot literally shot off the kneecaps which instantly caused it to fall over.
Mega Monkey screamed in terror as his mech fell face first onto the road as the robot calmly stepped out of the way.
The robot punched a hole through the back of the head to pull Mega Monkey out of the pilot's seat. The robot then pulled Mega Monkey toward his eye level-face to face.
Mega Monkey recoiled in fear.
"Don't hurt me, please!" He begged.
In response however, the robot tied him to a street lamp with a scrap of metal from the mech to act as rope much to everyone's amazement.
"I'm sorry but despite what a particular filmmaker in another universe prefers to see me as, I am not a murderer." The robot said.
"Now, that's enough monkey business out of you." The robot quipped with a chuckle.
To which Shezow, Dudepow, Kelly and Mal groaned and facepalmed at the pun.
"Apologies, I could not help myself." The robot said as he chuckled softly despite that he sounded as if he were older and wiser.
"Not that we're not appreciative but you came out of nowhere and well..." Shezow spoke to the robot.
"I'm sorry, I truly did wish to assist you, erm," The robot apologized before he trailed off. "Forgive me, I do not know your names."
"Just call me, Shezow." Guy said as he spoke in a high falsetto voice to emulate a girl's voice.
"And I'm Dudepow." Gal introduced herself in a rougher sounding voice to emulate a boy. "I'm from another universe."
"Another universe?" The robot reacted with intrigue in his voice. "I see you're familiar with the multiverse yourself."
"Hi, I'm Kelly and this is Mal." Guy's cousin then introduced herself and Mal, who replied with a hand wave.
"Greetings, humans, I am Optimus Prime." He introduced himself. "Leader of the Autobots."
"Autobots?" The four humans repeated in confusion.
"We are rebels fighting against the tyranny of the Decepticons." Optimus explained. "I am known as the Peacekeeper throughout the multiverse by many beings."
"You don't seem alarmed by my presence now." Optimus added as he noticed their now nonchalant expressions.
"Well, we get used to a lot of weirdness here." Shezow said.
"Ditto in mine." Dudepow concurred.
"I'm sorry I think we need to back up a bit." Kelly said before asking Optimus, "What's your story exactly?"
"Our universe was destroyed by our enemies the Decepticons." Optimus said as his voice took on a hint of sadness. "A lot of them survived as did many Autobots. But a lot from both factions did not unfortunately. And for nine hundred years, the Decepticons have gone on a campaign jumping from universe to universe to destroy or conquer. And I refuse to let any universe suffer the same fate as ours."
With that information clarified, the four looked at Prime with sympathy. They could tell the Autobot leader was hurt upon explaining everything.
"I'm sorry, Optimus." Shezow said with empathy.
"Truth be told, I was in your universe searching for Decepticon activity." Said Optimus. "I could not help but aid you in your battle however. Though I must admit, I had too much fun fighting a villainous monkey."
"Sometimes it's fun fighting the same bad guy." Shezow shrugged.
Suddenly, a beeping sound was heard on Optimus Prime's right arm. He pressed a button to answer and out came a hologram of one of his fellow Autobots.
"Ironhide, any updates?" Optimus asked.
"Me, Kup and Hot Rod just got done searching across the globe for any sign of those Decepticreeps." Ironhide replied with a southern accent. "But we haven't found any of those guys."
Suddenly, the hologram changed to another Autobot.
"I searched much of this universe myself." Said Wingblade. "No Decepticon activity whatsoever. Every scan has shown this universe is clean."
"Good to know." Optimus said, relieved at the news.
Suddenly, the hologram changed yet again to another Autobot.
"Jazz, what's the status in Fantasia?" Optimus asked.
"No sign of any Decepticons on my end." Replied the second in command of the Autobots known as Jazz. "Though Gears almost picked a fight with one of the locals but nothing too much to cause a panic."
"As far as we know besides one, they barely knew we were there." He then added.
"That's good." Optimus said. "But I'm gonna have to talk to Gears about his grumpy behavior rubbing off on other beings. And I thought Ratchet was bad."
"In any case however," Prime then added. "Seems this universe has no Decepticon activity. I'll meet up with Arcee and Bumblebee. Prime, out."
After a nod from each Autobot he communicated with, the hologram dispersed.
"Seems like your planet is safe for now." Optimus said. "But before I go, I have something for you to keep."
Prime then opened his chest compartment and took out small badge like devices that resembled the Autobot symbol and leaned down to give them to both Shezow and Dudepow.
"What are these?" Shezow squinted his eyes as Dudepow did the same.
"Yeah, what are they supposed to do?" Asked Dudepow.
"These are silent alarm triggers." Prime replied. "If the Decepticons do come to your universe, press it and it'll trigger the alarms of our ship the Ark and we'll be there."
"These Decepticons can't be that tough!" Shezow arrogantly bragged.
"I don't doubt your abilities but the Decepticons are not to be underestimated." Prime calmly but gravely warned the young superhero.
"I'm sure we'll help the first chance it happens." Kelly said, assuring the Autobot leader.
"Right?" She elbowed her brother much to the chagrin of Guy.
"Yeah, yeah." Shezow sighed in annoyance.
"Very well, I trust this universe is in good hands thanks to you, Shezow." Optimus said. "May you continue being its protector, I know you'll do great things. As will you, Dudepow for your universe."
Shezow, or rather Guy, blushed in response. He could not explain it but something about Optimus made him feel proud as if he had just been given high praise by a loving parent. Even Dudepow, or rather Gal, felt the exact same way.
"Don't get a swell head, Shezow!" Kelly giggled.
"Hey, shut up!" Shezow responded irritably before he then asked Optimus, "Where are you gonna go next?"
"I don't know." Optimus replied. "But wherever the next universe is, we'll be there to ensure the multiverse will be free of the Decepticons."
"Until then, farewell, young heroes!" Optimus then waved goodbye.
And with that, Optimus Prime transformed back into his truck mode with the trailer in tow and drove away in the other direction where curiously, a yellow Volkswagen and a pink futuristic looking car joined the truck.
Nevertheless, the young heroes waved goodbye to their temporary ally as the three Autobots drove back to their ship The Ark in order to go to the next universe and perhaps make more allies along the way.
Author's Notes:
- So this is the introduction of the Peacekeeper Optimus Prime who comes from the same universe as the War Monger Megatron variant.
And like that variant and the rest of the Decepticons, Peacekeeper Optimus and the Autobots are based on and largely resemble their G1 counterparts. So, Peacekeeper Optimus and War Monger Megatron are, for my fan cast, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker respectively.
And considering Michael Weyer and a few others have plans for Earth-1984 anyway, this and other variants are my loophole writing Transformers G1 characters.
- The Earth designated number being a reference to the US airdate to SheZow.
- I picked SheZow as I wanted to pick a different universe, different show. I did think about Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat and was going to be told as a flashback with Sagwa telling the story of how Optimus rescued her.
Didn't know how to pull that off as while I'm not too familiar with SheZow, I know about it, read about it, looked at clips, skimmed admittedly. I thought it'd be a good candidate.
- The first thing I thought of was indeed Optimus Prime rescuing a cat from a tree. A classic superhero move like Superman doing it. Wanted to go for a heartwarming moment.
- The cat named Thomasina I got the name from a book turned Disney movie called The Many Lives of Thomasina.
- I had Dudepow in mind from the start but then I thought about cutting the character out but Dudepow stayed on the account of Peacekeeper Optimus being a Multiverse traveler himself and would recognize the concept of another universe.
- I briefly toyed with pronouns for Shezow and Dudepow as I saw the characters as genderfluid given myself being genderfluid.
- Michael Bay potshot. Couldn't resist.
- Grey Griffin I picture as Wingblade. And for Jazz, in terms of deceased actors, Scatman Crothers. In terms of living and current voice actors, Arif S. Kinchen given I saw on YouTube the live reading if More Than Meets The Eye on YouTube and he sounded like the perfect successor to Crothers which is saying because Phil LaMarr was a solid choice too in Transformers: Animated.
- By the time I wrote this Addendum, I had just read SC8's NeverEnding Story one shot for Infinity Crisis and I decided to mention Fantasia and as a gag as to what happened there so I thought Gears picking a fight would be "LOL Gears picked a fight with someone from The NeverEnding Story."
And if you're curious, Gears was picking a fight with the gnomes Engywook and Urgl.
- Also unlike Phelous, I like Gears. He's funny.
- Ratchet has personality traits from his Transformers: Animated counterpart.
- Bumblebee I envision resembling a bit of his movie counterpart from his self titled movie but has the personality and his voice of his Transformers: Animated counterpart. He stills turns into a Volkswagen beetle though. That stays, fuck the camero.
While Arcee, she's a triple changer who resembles her G1 counterpart and transforms into her car mode from the original G1 cartoon and a Ducati 916 motorcycle. A shout out to her alt mode in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
