Chapter 1
Ever since the fantasy and the real world collided, new species have been entered into the picture with humans as one of the second main species of life. That being said, other opportunities have opened new doors with this new world other than the expansion of life, that being the technologies cultures, and laws to make the new world comfortable for everybody. Some people blissfully ignore this new change but some are highly against it. Not like they could do anything about it. They just had to hush up and deal.
With these new technologies, there was a possibility of multi-versing through other worlds that are not one of their own, not including the worlds that our two main characters, Star and Marco have been in. It was more like traveling to worlds out of the galaxy Earth and Mewnie were in. However, that was technically impossible… right?

"Marco? Marco!" Someone yelled, making Marco jolt up in his seat, now awake from his daydreaming. He looked around, wondering where that voice came from. It was then his teacher, Miss Skullnick cleared her throat, annoyed. Marco looked up, his eyes meeting Miss Skullnick's angered face. "Don't ever think that just because you're a 'hero', that means you could sleep in class. You have a lot to learn before stepping out into the world."
Marco rolled his eyes in his mind. He had "stepped" into the world already, in fact, he "stepped" into many worlds other than his own. Nevertheless, the young man in the sweater apologized, and the goblin troll teacher continued to teach until the bell rang. In a heartbeat, all of the students scurried out of the classroom to celebrate their weekend or go to their after-school activities. The teacher sighs angrily and smokes a cigarette thinking they are all gone until she sees Marco. Marco was the last to walk out since he had to gather his things. Ms. Scullnick rushes him out and locks her door.
Waiting for him outside was Star, his queen… girlfriend? They aren't technically together but they aren't not together? It's complicated. All Star wanted to do was 'take it slow', even after the kiss they made in the stables. Marco wanted to at least have an official date so they could figure out what they were even more. Nevertheless, Marco was happy to see her, even if she wasn't in the school because of her being the future queen and having duties and such and such.
"Hiiiiiii Marco!" Star waved at him with her wand, and Marco saw that it looked different. Knowing Star, he thought that she decorated it and turned a blind eye. But there was one thing he couldn't seem to ignore. A block was next to her, with an opening on top shaped as Star's wand. "What's with the box?" Marco blurted out. Star looked at the box and motioned Marco over to her.
Marco followed her command with a little more curiosity. She pulled him over once he got close and took the box that was on the ground. "Some magic wizard man gave me this as an offering. I was planning to put the wand in the space thingy but I wanted us to both check it out!" Star explained with delight. Marco however didn't look excited. Despite living in a new magical world, there's nothing outlandish about a flat block with a hole. "Star, that's just an old slate. There's nothing magical that comes from it." Once Marco said that his friend Star's face dropped down to a frown. She was anticipating seeing what it could do.
Marco sighs and looks at the block thing again and says, "Let's try it out. But I doubt that it'll do anything." Star excitedly puts the wand in the hole. With a click, the block flew out of her hands and spun around and there was a flash of light. Both kids look up at it, and the block now turns into a shiny pink and purple book. The book flies down to Star as she reaches it and grabs it. She squints at the cover and reads:
"THE TRUTH OF THE METAVERSE"
