Chapter One: The First Questions

Far, far away in a land unlike many others, there was a large island in the middle of a vast ocean. It was a bright sunny day on the island, and on it was a city filled with many civilians going about their lives. But they weren't just human civilians, they were animals, robots, even aliens, and many creatures that people in the real world would find weird. However their world was not in the real world of earth, but somewhere else.

Yet the people there went about their everyday lives, while another event was going on. One, not too popular, but enough to gather the attention of most of them.

In one large building, inside a big dark room, there was murmuring going all around. Until one voice spoke up among them. The voice of a kid.

He announced, "Hello everybody! Are you ready for the show to start?"

Then a spotlight went on, revealing a 15 year old kid wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, and a brown and yellow jacket. Making the murmuring be replaced with cheers as they knew who was. His name was Michael Ese, the ageless space, time-traveling superhero, and best friend to the person he intended to introduce.

Michael was inside what looked like a live studio room, and the people cheering were the audience in the chairs, preparing for the big show they wanted to see.

So he continued, "Then prepare in 5…4…3…" As he was counting down, his friend was behind the curtain of the main stage, taking a deep breath. Then got ready to come out in, "…2…1!" The friend popped out, revealing himself in the spotlight, and making the audience cheer even more. Because he…was me.

"Say hello to my man, C!" Michael chanted, pointing to me.

I stood on the stage, smiling deeply, and noticing that they seemed to appreciate my costume too. It was a black/dark gray costume with a bright blue C, like a superhero suit. So I waved to everybody, being glad that all came to see me.

Then I finally got the chance to speak, saying, "Yeah! Hi everybody! I'm grateful that you made it to what I believe will be my best show around: 'Ask C Almost Anything'!" The crowd cheered again, and I continued, "Alright. Now first off, I want to apologize if my appearance comes off as weird. I needed something to still keep my status as an anonymous writer. If that's okay with you." The audience all looked like they didn't seem to mind. "Okay. Now the way this show will go is that my partner (Michael) and I sit down on these chairs, and he reads questions to me that are submitted by all of you to his special digi-cards. And the questions can be written down from your panel."

As I finished my statement, multiple small touch-screen pads appeared from behind every chair, making the audience see that they'll be given the opportunity to write some of their questions.

I continued again, "Just remember, however, you can only submit one question, and between commercials I can only read a small amount at a time before the episode's over. And some of them even come from my friends at Idea Comics Online."

Everybody seemed continuously cheerful about that, and after waving to them modestly, we took our prospective seats. Then Michael finally asked me,

"You ready for this, C?"

"I am, bro. Lay 'em on me. Haha." I was really nervous and excited since I was not used to speaking in a crowd, but I was ready for the show.

The audience began writing their questions, Michael shuffled the digi-Q-cards, and started…

"Okay C, our first question for this show comes from…Wr1t3rLover95. Haha, you can always expect our good friend to put something in first. Now he asks…If you could be any kind of bird, what would you be?"

I replied, "Ah, that's a good question. You see, because of Rio, I think I would be interested in being a Blue Macaw since they seem like the most fun, spirited, and charming kind of birds. But I would much rather be one that lives in the actual movie than in real life. Also, there was one little character I had in mind for my stories. Imagine a new kind of macaw that is brown all over and he resembles Blu or Roberto, but his feet and the tip of his wings would be black, and there's also like a yellow H symbol on his chest."

Michael, "So wait, you wanna create a bird that resembles me? Or my jacket?

"P-Please don't change the subject!"

Michael laughed, "Okay, now the next question. Another good author known as FlyingFighter123 asks…How did you come to like the two Rio movies in the first place?"

I replied, "Oh. Well, I can't remember too much on how that passion started but...I think it was during 2010, I was in a movie theater, probably watching ICE AGE 3 or another feature, and the trailer for Rio just came on. It seemed interesting and...I'm gonna feel embarrassed mentioning this, but as soon as I saw Jewel come in and Blu liked her, I think I started to go for it a little. Ever since I was a kid I always loved animals and animation, and whenever romance was added into both of those together, it made me feel good. And since Rio was and still is an animated romance to me, I like it. Although I didn't like it as much then as I do now. I still liked it then. So, I guess you could call me...an 'Animash' Lover or whatever you call it. That's also another reason why I like to keep myself anonymous."

Michael, "Okay, is there anything else?"

"Oh yeah. I also liked Rio 2 since it seemed better than the first, and I know that in such ways it was, despite the more awkward and heart shattering moments, and some fans dissing it. Either way I still love the franchise and hope that every good fanfiction I've read will be nothing but motivation to the creators to expand the story."

"That's good, buddy, and believe me I know how stuff like that feels from my adventures. Now, I think this'll be another good one. DarkDragonWarrior13 asks…What is your favorite dessert?"

I replied, "Hmm. I think perhaps it's either cake, ice cream, or at least anything good with chocolate in it. I love chocolate."

Michael, "Again, I feel the same way. Now this one is from another good friend you've made since you started your account on ICO. SportsVadim, and he asks…Hey bro, are you a fan of The Nut Job?"

I replied, "That's a good one. I have to say not too much, I didn't find it to be too good as a theatrical film, however it was a little enjoyable to me. It was better than Over the Hedge, and it felt like one of those good home movies you can watch just to pass the time."

Michael then noticed that that was the last Q, so he placed them all down on his desk and announced, "Alrighty everyone, it looks like those were our only questions for now. So feel free to ask some more if you want, and we'll come back after these commercials."

Then I spoke up again. "Hang on. Before we go to commercials, I still wanna say thank you very much to everyone who is still supporting me and I still hope to do well here with this new career. And not just for everyone on ICO but for the world when I make my future entrepreneur business. Also, I want to apologize to WriterLover if this show's theme seems too similar to his Q and A series. I couldn't think of any other but I hope you and everyone will still like this. And I will be showing just 6 or 3 questions in the next episodes. So Thank you everyone."

The spotlight dimed down, the audience cheered again, and we headed to commercials, before we were ready for the next part soon.

The Details in the Story

Meanwhile, during another point in time, all things seemed quiet inside the bedroom of a small house. A modern humble abode, but it wasn't one on the special island, instead it was in the world where I came from. I was back in my home dimension for a good moment to sit down in my room and write down something in my journal.

I took a pencil, and wrote in the book itself, hoping to write down what would be used as a draft for an upcoming post. As I slowly wrote every word, I imagined it all in my head going like this:

Hi everyone!

It's me C again and let me say, thank you to everyone who's read and commented on my last story. I really appreciate it and know that I will share more stories later on ICO. Until then, let me give you an explanation of that other story I gave you.

In "Ask C and C's Adventures," my name is Tyler Woody Parker. I am a kid in high school who is an anonymous story-writer in the popular social media program we know of as Idea Comics Online. I've spent more than a year on ICO, making short stories based on my favorite things, starting with Rio. But what's also special about my work is that a few years ago, I developed this ability to psychologically travel to another universe. A single Neverland/Narnia type of universe that I call "Endless," and it's the native dimension of all (known) versions of imagination. Since my first trip, I've been able to learn so much from that world. I visit it as often as possible, and I've befriended many of the natives, including the variants of my creations and favorite heroes. I hang out with them and even express my creativity to them a lot. Making myself popular among them. Then eventually, I was given enough support and privilege to start my own Q & A show and another surprise (mentioned in a later chapter).

The Endless universe is a dimension shaped like one planet. A planet that's as big as our universe. In the sky, there's still one sun and moon, and multiple stars in the night. And in that universe, every time someone in the real world comes up with an idea and when said idea becomes popular enough, it becomes a living entity in Endless, coexisting with other ideas. Whether it's an island, cities of heroes and villains, treasure, etc. All well known ideas, even different versions of them, live together in one universe. It's not a perfect kind of coexistence as a lot of folks are still capable of fighting or disagreeing. But there's no murder, thievery, or anything as bad or worse than that because everybody figures out how to live properly.

The way the process of "newcomers" works is that time IRL moves differently compared to Endless. When someone makes an idea, it takes a year for each idea from each individual to come to life and live there. And one of the reasons why every native is able to coexist is because they immediately know about the lives of their creators and their purpose. Yet they accept that and live with everything they have.

And so…that's how this series goes. That's my character and the world he comes to, and how he began his adventures with his Q & A series and the many friends that helped support it.

From there, I finished writing in my journal, closed the book, and smiled while looking at my bedroom wall. I was grinning so much because I looked forward to the reactions of my fellow readers. To see when they would take a look at my story details. The details of a story based on my exploits, while also making sure that they would never become aware that nothing in it is fictitious.

More Notes & Disclaimers (2016-2019):

• "Michael Ese": (2024) You, my fellow readers, may remember this character having a different name. But I announced a while ago that I would change his name indefinitely for the sake of making my franchise for him a reality.

• "studio room": The whole thing pretty much resembles the set of the TONIGHT SHOW.

• "costume": (2024) In the older version, my first costume in this series was a cloak and hood.

• "all of you": (2024) The whole audience is like a batch of many different OCs that live on the island. None of them are mentioned by name, and they are based on all of you. In fact, read below…

• "Idea Comics Online" (2024) is the fictional version of FFN, DeviantArt, and others.

• "seats": I sat in what looked like a guest seat, and Michael sat in a chair behind a large desk.

• "other story": Specifically, I mean this one.

(2024) Hi everyone! It's me C again and let me first say, thank you to everyone who's read and commented on "A Rio Restart" and the others before. Know that they will be updated and I will still be publishing the next stories after this. I am aware that that was stated in the "Details in the Story" section. I just chose to stick with that, haha.

Anyway, that section served as the explanation for this story's universe, but let me now explain its full purpose.

As you are all aware, the rules of the site say you can't make interactive stories like "Question and Answer" shows, however, I've been using a loop-hole method that helps make this different from the rest. It is still a traditional, fictional short-story where it looks like my character is interacting with mythical fans. The same method I've used for some of my other stories like the new version of "The Classics" and "Guess Who's Back" in 2022. And while this is still a Q & A series, it will be made to look like the questions come from fictional characters. Whether it's the natives from Endless with their own usernames, or ones from Ty's friends on ICO. Hence the purpose of these nicknames I developed, which are actually for the real authors that submitted the questions.

Wr1t3rLover95 is Alexriolover95

FlyingFighter123 is NightFly123

DarkDragonSpirit13 is ShadowDragonGhost13

SportsVadim is MonsterJamVadim

Now in case you, my friends, are not satisfied with those nicknames, know that they can be changed. Plus, I recommend not submitting any new questions at all. Because this is supposed to be a remade version of a series that I published from 2016-2019. Any new questions you ask, they will be answered later on in future stories when everything I want to re-publish is done.

As for the managers of FanFictionNet, I hope this qualifies as a story that still follows the rules. I hope that there is nothing wrong with how it is formatted and that you approve of it. If not, however, then please leave a comment and I will see you if I can publish it elsewhere. Thank you, and thank you to everyone who is still reading my work, and I will see you later. Have a great one.
