Melissa blinks yet tears still fall from blurry big brown eyes. So pin dropping quiet, laying down on her bed. Arms crossed hugging Nick's favorite jacket.

Glancing down at it, a tiny broken smile takes hold. "At least you're with your parents now." She sobs, knocking is heard on her locked door.

"If it's the Grim Reaper come in! If not, then fuck off!" She shouts in despair. Still said interrupting her misery uses magic to unlock the door.

"Well some people in this town call me the Grim Reaper, does that count?" The bad boy smirks softly, Melissa glares at her dead boyfriend's older brother.

"Now, now. . . Melissa I'm not here to cause trouble." He nods towards the foot of her bed. She growls up lays her messy brunette hair back down on her wet pillow.

"Okay, thanks." He sits himself down, back against her bed. 10 painfully silent minutes go by before she can't take his presence any longer.

"What the fuck do you want, Jake? Cuz last we spoke at his grave, you told me we don't have anything in common."

Jake doesn't face her, taking a deep breath, he looks straight ahead at the wall. "I was wrong. Not just for saying that. But for letting Nick and all you guys get to deep in your circle. Our parents practicing. . . Is what cursed us all. Losing so much, losing us. . ."

The blond trails off taking a risk turning to the younger teen. "Melissa, don't lose yourself more like our families did. I may not remember much of my little brother, but I know he wouldn't want you being like this."

"Just. . .get out Jake. Tell Adam/Cassie or whomever comes looking for me that I need time." Melissa sighs sadly still not looking Jake in the face.

The blond raises off her bedroom floor, nodding he walks out. Left hand on the door frame. "If you get hungry, I'll be at the Boathouse. Don't worry Adam and I won't fight again."

He states trying to reassure the bad blood between them, won't get her more upset, especially not on Nick's birthday.
