First Day At Pine Hollow
"Okay," Lisa said to Wendy. "I'll leave you to it."
Lisa left for the kitchen to give Wendy her privacy.
The next day, Eleanor Atwood dropped Lisa, Wendy, Jess, and Melanie off at Pine Hollow for their riding lesson.
"Thank you for the ride, Missis Atwood!" Wendy and Jess called in unison.
"You're welcome, girls," Eleanor said. "oh, and I'll be a little late getting home myself."
"No problem, Mom," Lisa said. "Wendy and I can always walk home since we didn't take our bikes this morning."
"And, I asked Granddad if Mel could stay the night," Jess said. "and he agreed, so he'll be picking us up this afternoon."
"Good to know." Eleanor said.
Eleanor quickly drove off.
After Eleanor left, Lisa, Wendy, Melanie, and Jess went to the stable to introduce Wendy to the horses.
The girls saw a brown haired brown eyed boy leading a black stallion out of its stall.
"Hi, I'm Simon Atherton," the boy greeted. "and, this is my horse, Midnight."
"I'm Wendy, nice to meet you, Simon," Wendy greeted. "do you think I could pet Midnight?"
"Yes," Simon answered Wendy. "he would love that!"
Wendy petted Midnight, then, Simon walked Midnight outside for the lesson.
"Come on, Wendy," Lisa said. "let's go talk to Max about getting you assigned to a horse."
"All right, Lisa." Wendy said.
When the four girls reached Max's office, they could hear Max on the phone.
"Yes... I understand... I'll let you talk to your daughter... good bye, Mister Carrington." Max was saying on his end of the line.
