A Father's Disappointment
"Oh no, I am sunk!" Wendy exclaimed.
That was when Max poked his head out of his office, "Wendy, your father wishes to speak with you." he said.
Wendy pulled out her cellphone, "Hello, Dad..." she began.
"Wendy Moira Carrington! I have never been more disappointed in you than I am right now!" her father's voice came from the other end of the line.
"But Dad..." Wendy began.
But Mister Carrington continued as if he hadn't heard his daughter's interruption.
"I just got off the phone with the Winston Riding Institute's headmaster, and he told me that those brats from Pine Hollow took you away from there! And, after your mother and I spent good money to send you to a good American riding school! What do you have to say for yourself, Young Lady?" Mister Carrington asked Wendy.
"I was being bullied by Collin and Clinton there, and I stuck out like a sore thumb," Wendy reasoned with her father. "I'm starting to like Pine Hollow, and, I've already made a few friends."
"Like who?" Mister Carrington asked his daughter on his end of the line.
"Like the new instructor, Brad Taylor, as well as some of the students here like Lisa Atwood, Stevie, Lake, Carole Hanson, Simon Atherton, and his horse, Midnight," Wendy reasoned with her father. "I'm even staying with the Atwood family since Pine Hollow is a bit too crowded at the moment, may I please take riding lessons here at Pine Hollow?"
Mister Carrington gave the idea some thought before he answered.
"Very well," Mister Carrington said. "you can stay at Pine Hollow, I am also permitting you to attend school at the American private school, Fenton Hall for your academic education."
"Thank you, Dad," Wendy exclaimed. "oh! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
"You're welcome, my precious one." Mister Carrington said to Wendy.
Wendy then ended the call with her father.
"I can stay! I can stay!" Wendy exclaimed.
Max came out of his office, "Come on, Wendy, I would like to introduce you to Push-button Patch." he said.
