"Ugh, this asshole has rotten timing," Bulma complained to Val and the others around them.
They made it from the baseball game to Capsule Corps in record time, hearing from her father that the person who broke in, whoever it was, had not taken anything, but rather destroyed all the samples taken from Val, Vegeta, and the Namekians when they were there, among other things. Those who worked in the lab were upset by the unexcepted destruction. Val tried to sense for someone, anyone who could have been the culprit, but there were so many other humans flitting around, that whoever it was was long gone and untraceable to her.
"I can give more blood samples and see if I can convince Vegeta to give more as well," Val offered, trying to think of something, anything she could do to help. He was a bit more relaxed around her now that she was staying.
"That's nice of you, but in case we need more than your original four samples, but those from the Namekians are gone gone," Bulma's father told her, looking uncertain.
"Perhaps it was that one worker, you know, the one who didn't like being around the aliens because she thought them demonic?" Bulma asked, talking over her. "She did seem a bit too finicky, and whoever it was was certain to only destroy only the non-human samples."
"It could have been her, yes, but we're not sure at this point," Bulma's father answered. He ran his hand through his hair. "We'll have to bring them in and interview them to see, but the cameras were down and most were on shift at that time, so it would be hard to pinpoint who did it."
"Will find them, find them and fire them," Bulma determined, bringing her fist against her other open palm.
Val nodded next to her, not sure what else to say or do to help. She found herself superfluous here, almost wishing she had stayed with the others at that odd game, thinking about one particular.
