Neb: Last Chapter Huey was tied up in Albert's new lair. Albert explains his issues with the Duck Family and their flaws that he can exploit. Perhaps this may be enough information for Huey to defeat him with, but he still needs to get out of Albert's clutches first. Albert wishes to use Huey for a little trade, he wants both the Star Chart and the Medusa's Gauntlet, yet he refuses to explain why. I do not own Ducktales, and I hope you all enjoy the fanfic.
Dewey bolted the moment the plane landed.
"Wait Dewey," Scrooge called out. "We need help unloading the, ah never mind."
"I wonder what's got him in a rush," Della laughed as she helped Scrooge with a crate of gold. "Well at least we can now afford the rescue mission."
"Della," Scrooge sighed. "A lot of those pilots don't even want to return to Earth, that's why they signed up for the mission to begin with. That's why Bradford was able to pull one over on me because of my oversight. I didn't think the people that I hired would just take the ships and leave forever."
"Yeah well, with the Star Charts and Penny's ship, I can find out for myself," Della figured. "I got caught up in a cosmic storm, we don't know what happened to them. If we find them and they don't want to come back, that's up to them."
Scrooge sighed and then nodded. "Very well."
Webby soon exited after Dewey and headed towards the manor just like he did. No doubt Dewey had been worried about his brothers thanks to their new enemy.
"Webby," Dewey called out and she ran over towards his room. "Louie and Huey aren't even here, they aren't answering my texts, what happened to them?"
"You don't think Albert got them, do you?", Webby wondered.
Dewey looked down frightened and then Webby put a hand on his shoulder. "We have to find them," Dewey decided. "Call Lena or Violet, I pretty sure Huey was hanging out with Violet last. I'll find Launchpad and see if he knows where Louie went."
"Got it," Webby nodded. Webby wasn't receiving any responses from Violet or Lena, worrying her. But then she received a text from Violet stating Code Purple. "Magica!" Webby ran over to Dewey who was on the phone with Launchpad.
"Ok, I got it," Dewey nodded. "Launchpad says that Huey was with Gyro, Gandra, Penumbra, and Fenton last he heard. He also said Louie was with Boyd and Gosalyn."
"At least they're staying in groups," Webby sighed in relief. "Violet stated it's a code purple."
"Darkwing?", Dewey wondered.
"W-what? No Magica."
"Oh, that's not good," Dewey admitted. "I wonder what she wants... besides destroying all of us."
"That's probably it," Webby figured. "She picked one heck of a time to attack, Scrooge was out of town, and we were all figuring out how to deal with Albert."
"Is their a place we're all supposed to meet up at if Magica is attacking?", Dewey wondered.
"Lena's old hide out," Webby nodded. "Also..." Her phone buzzed. "Scratch that, normally I'm supposed to tell Scrooge, but Violet just texted me not to."
"But Magica's his nemesis," Dewey pointed out. "Why wouldn't she want us to tell him?"
"I'm as lost as you are," Webby admitted. "I think we should head down to Lena's place and ask."
"Got it," Dewey nodded. The two of them headed back out of the mansion and ran by Della and Scrooge who were both struggling with a crate of gold.
"Hey watch it," Scrooge yelled as they almost bumped into them.
"Sorry dad," Webby called out as they continued to run.
"Kids are always in a hurry for some reason," Scrooge sighed.
"I hope everything is okay," Della worried.
Dewey hugged his brother Louie the moment they ran into him. Webby also ran to hug Lena who hugged her back.
"W-what? Where did this come from Dewey?!", Louie freaked out as he separated himself from Dewey.
"Why didn't you answer when I called?", Dewey yelled.
"Violet said I couldn't," Louie defended himself.
"You were very vague in the texts," Webby pointed out to Violet. "Why can't we tell Scrooge about Magica?"
"Relax, the both of you," Violet explained. "First we have to catch you all up on what has happened."
"Huey's been kidnapped," Lena blurted out.
"What?!", both Dewey and Webby responded.
Violet and Louie both facepalmed after that.
"We're working on a plan to get him back," Boyd nodded. "It seems Albert has a list of allies that we need to watch out for."
"Including Magica?", Webby gasped. "How did he pull that off?"
"Common goals," Violet explained. "Listen, we've set up a trade for dear Hubert, Albert is going to meet us at the comic book store."
"Where it all started," Dewey remembered.
"No it started a garage sale," Louie corrected him. "But yeah, that's where Albert humiliated Huey."
"Originally Huey and I wanted to play Duck Calling against him in exchange for knowledge," Violet continued to explain. "But Albert finds that information is too valuable of a resource to gamble with. He wants the Medusa's Gauntlet and the Star Charts."
"He can't have the Star Charts," Dewey responded. "My mom needs those."
"Indeed, plus we don't own either," Violet nodded.
"That's why I will be betting myself," Louie nodded. "All we have to do is trust that Violet can beat him at his own game."
"Are you serious?", Dewey yelled.
"Aside from the items we don't have, I am technically just as valuable to him as Huey is."
"That's crazy," Dewey shook his head. "Then bet me also."
"We can't give him all three of you," Violet shook her head. "That will insure that he's won whatever sick game he's been playing this whole time. We need to have at least one of you with us at all times."
"And if you can't win?", Dewey reminded her. "We lose both Louie and Huey."
"I agree," Violet nodded. "That's why I've been hesitant to accept Louie's wager."
"She'll win," Louie was sure. "Violet's the smartest one in our group, mind you Webby and Huey is her competition."
"Excuse you," Gosalyn spoke up.
"And Gosalyn," Louie responded nervously. "Look, the point is I know she'll get Huey back."
"What makes you think Albert won't change his mind even if he loses," Dewey wondered.
"He won't," Violet shook her head. "It's just as I've said in the beginning, Albert trusting in Huey's honor has given himself away. He is compelled by a similar if not the same honor code."
"This is all still extremely risky," Webby figured. "Normally I would go along with whatever you guys say Violet, but I really don't think we can hide this from Scrooge."
Violet nodded. "If I lose, you tell Scrooge immediately. Because if that happens, our only bargaining chips left are the Medusa's Gauntlet and the Star Charts."
"Plus Scrooge can get together a whole team of the adults and kick Magica, Steelbeak, and the yellow guy's butts," Louie agreed.
"Yellow guy?", both Webby and Dewey questioned.
"A copycat of Darkwing Duck," Gosalyn explained. "Outside of looks he's nothing like my dad though."
"I really don't see why we don't do that from the beginning," Dewey wondered.
"We don't want to risk anything happening to Hubert," Violet reexplained. "Believe it or not, we are still trying to resolve things peacefully."
"Fighting is what Albert wants," Louie reiterated. "He's declared war on our family, and you guys had already gotten hurt from it. Not to mention Penny and Fenton also had gotten beaten up pretty bad."
"Oh no," Webby responded.
"All the more reason to fight," Dewey figured. "Remember that Ducks don't back down."
"Quoting Uncle Donald isn't going to fix everything," Louie groaned. "Just trust me on this for now, please. If it doesn't work then we tell Scrooge."
"But you'll be his hostage," Dewey yelled.
"Give me more credit then that Dewford," Louie shrugged. "Even if he somehow beat Violet, I'm not bound by the same honor code as Huey and Albert."
