Chapter 4
Disclaimer: So I had something else in mind for this chapter but then I got to thinking about this instead.
One Week Later
"Are you ready for your next task, Al-Nahab?" Questioned Ra's of the young Magical in front of him a week after his assignment in that village in Rhapastan.
"I am, Master Ra's." Nahab replied while in something of a better state of mind after taking the week to deal with what he'd done.
Ra's studied him for a moment before nodding to himself. "Very well. Your next task will be in Britain. Specifically, within the building of the Ministry." Nahab couldn't help but look at the older man in surprise.
But Ra's paid it little mind. "There is a special room there called the Hall of Prophecies, currently being guarded by Albus Dumbledore and his Order. Our spies have learned that there is a prophecy there retaining to you, Al-Nahab."
"To, to me?"
"Mhm. And as has been learned, with these specific prophecies, only those named can touch them. So your task is to acquire the prophecy involving you. Understood?" Asked the centuries old man.
Not needing to say that avoiding being caught was out of the question as it was heavily implied. "Yes, Master Ra's. I understand. Will I be accompanied by another or will I be on my own?" Wondered Nahab.
"On your own, unless you feel you can't handle it on your own?" Challenged the man.
"No, I can handle it on my own."
"Good. Then be off."
Nahab nodded and left to quickly make preparations for his journey to Britain while being completely surprised by the fact he wasn't being asked to take the life of any. But also being somewhat grateful about it. Sometime later would see the Boy Who Lived once again in his home country and not entirely sure how to feel about it and pushed it to the side to focus on the task at hand. He also had a wand crafted by the League on hand in case it was needed but Nahab was confident it wouldn't be aside from any potential verification purposes if it was needed. Though what he wasn't expecting on his first night at the Safe House as he wanted to rest up before sneaking into the Ministry was the arrival of Hedwig. Making the young man momentarily alarmed by this before forcing himself to calm down and casting spells to ensure she couldn't be tracked before having a proper reunion with his first friend. It made him wonder why she hadn't tracked him down before now but came to the potential conclusion that perhaps it was due to any spellcraft around Nanda Parbat that kept her from doing so.
But it did him good to see Hedwig as he had missed her something awful and would be taking her back with him to Nanda Parbat. Though he hoped Ra's wouldn't have some kind of issue with it but he'd cross that bridge when it came down to it. The next day would see him arrive early at the Ministry and using what he learned, managed to sneak his way in and carefully made his way to where the Hall of Prophecies is. Once in, Nahab made his way through the Hall until he found what he was looking for and frowned once he did as he took notice of the other names on the orb containing his prophecy. Namely that of Voldemort's and Dumbledore's, making him wonder why the Hell the older man kept him in the dark about this as he had to have known since he always seemed to know things. Something to ask him about if I ever cross paths with him…
Shaking that off, he carefully pocketed the orb after ensuring there wasn't any tracking methods on it and then made his leave just as carefully. Once back at the Safe House, he'd pack up and get Hedwig before leaving back for Nanda Parbat while feeling some regret over not making some sort of contact with his old friends. But knew it was for the best and thankfully, Ra's wouldn't give him too much trouble over Hedwig returning with him. Though the contents of the prophecy would be troubling for Nahab given that it boiled down to either Tom killing him or him killing Tom. "Guess I need to train harder then." Sighed Nahab troubledly.
Especially given that Tom's decades older than him! "Agreed, Nephew. I will not lose another member of our family. Especially to that blight upon Man and Nature." Owal told him deathly seriously.
Nahab looked at the older man with a serious expression on his face. "Then lets get to it then."
Author's Notes: I definitely liked this chapter a lot more than the third one.
