Episode 7: A Poached Ego!

Mew and her friends continue on to Rustboro City, where Mew will have their first gym battles in the Hoenn region. But for now, the gang are marching happily along in a forest. Well, most of them.

And that someone is May, who begins to whine, "I'm not happy."

Tomo says, "Oh, come, May. We just finished taking a break."

"Skwovet," (Tomo's right.) Skwovet says.

May slumps to the ground, "I wouldn't call that a break."

Mew sighs, "Alright, guess we'll just have to take another one, then."

Soon, a beeping sound is heard from Mew and Max's PokéNav

Max looks at the map, "Look! There's a Pokémon Center just ahead."

"Oh!" Brock replies.

May soon gets up, "There is? Really?"

Brock then grabs May's hand, "In that case, May, off we go, then."

"Let go. You're hurting my arm." May says and gets loose but stumbles backward, "Whoa!" and right into a tree.

May feels something and turns around and sees something inside the tree, "What's that?"

"What's up, May?" Jen asks.

What May found was a piece of a net, "There's something weird sticking out of this tree.

"Yeah, you're right," May says.

"Wonder what it is," Brock says.

Then Pikachu says, "Pika Pika." (There's more that way!)

"Huh?" The group replies.

Everyone looks off to the right and finds scrapes on more trees.

"Something sure happened here," May says.

"Maybe a Pokémon battle?" Max asks.

"I don't think so," Mew says and looks at the net, "Who'd use this in a Pokémon battle?"

Moments later, Mew and the others arrive at the Pokemon Center.

"Hello!" May calls out.

Soon, Nurse Joy appears, "Welcome to my Pokémon Center."

"Nurse Joy!" Brock happily says.

But May pushes Brock aside, "Hey, there! Did they transfer you from Oldale Town, Nurse Joy?"

"Huh?" Nurse Joy says, confused.

"May. Remember? You really helped us all out at the Pokemon Center back there," May says.

But Nurse Joy says, "Well, I don't see how that's possible since I've never seen any of you before.

"Never? But you're Nurse Joy, right?" May asks, confused.

Then Nurse Joy says, "Right. But the Nurse Joy you know in Oldale Town is my older sister.

"Really?" May asks.

"Cross my heart," nurse Joy says with a giggle.

"So not fair. I didn't even get a chance to talk to her this time," Brock says.

Soon, Max is looking at a book and says, "Hey, May! Look!"

"What, Max?" May asks.

"Check it out!" Max says, presenting the book.

May looks at the open page and finds a picture of multiple Nurse Joys, surprising her.

"A bunch of Nurse Joys!" May says.

"Every Pokémon Center in the country is run by a Nurse Joy, and they all look exactly alike," Max says.

But Brock says, "Please."

Everyone looks to Brock.

"You're so naïve. Nurse Joy's uniqueness is easily seen," Brock says and takes her hands, "Ah, it's completely obvious. I can tell the difference. You bangs are a millimeter longer."

"Huh?" Nurse Joy replies, confused and laughs sheepishly.

"That's actually very impressive," Mew says.

"You're something else," Max says.

"He's something else alright," May says.

Jen sighs, "Some things never change."

Soon, a familiar voice is heard, "Nurse Joy!""

At the door is none other than Officer Jenny and a Growlithe.

"Officer Jenny," Tomo says.

"Not you, too!" Brock says and approaches her, "Ah, well, hello there. I see your eyelashes are one tenth of an inch longer than any other Jenny in the country."

Officer Jenny sheepishly says, "They are? They are!"

"Don't tell me. There's a bunch of Officer Jennies, too," May says.

And Max shows her the picture in his book, "You got it."

Seeing the photo, May says, "I told you not to tell me."

"But I can tell the difference. And I'll, tell you how," Brock says.

Officer Jenny then walks up to Nurse Joy, "Anyway, Nurse Joy, I need to find out if any injured Pokémon have been brought to your Pokémon Center recently.

As Officer Jenny talks, Brock sulks as he realizes he was being ignored.

"Why, no. But why do you ask?" Nurse Joy answers.

"There've been a few reports of a poacher operating right in this area," Officer Jenny answers.

Everyone responds in shock, "A poacher?!"

Officer Jenny then brings out a wanted poster of a man with green hair and wears a dark red shirt, "Based on his methods, I would guess it's this Pokemon hunter, Rico. He thinks nothing of injuring Pokémon in order to catch them."

"How awful!" Molly says.

Mew then brings out the net, "Look what we found."

Officer Jenny takes the net, "Oh dear. It's part of a capture net that's commonly used by poachers. Where did you find it?"

"We found it in the forest on our way here," Mew says.

"You've got to show me where!" Jenny says.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket spies on the Pokemon Center from a far off hill.

Jessie chuckles, "So, the twerps stopped into the Pokemon Center. Good."

"Now it's time to set a trap, right?" James says.

"But what kind?" Jessie asks

James suggests, "How about our tried and true pitfall?"

"Huh? Hey, no! Can't we be more original?!" Meowth replies.

"So, you've got a better idea?" Jessie questions.

"Look, we're woikin' on climbin' da corporate ladder, right? So, derefore, we gotta start tinkin' of more creative an' inspired tings dan diggin' holes," Meowth says, and walks away.

Suddenly, as Meowth turns and walks away from Jessie and Jamse, he slips down the hill, catching his teammates' attention.

"Meowth!" James calls out.

Meowth comes to a stop, but soon hears sounds underneath an army camouflage blanket.

"Hey, dat's weird. Somethin's inside of dere," Meowth says.

Meowth removes the blanket and finds several Ekans, battered and locked up

"Ekans! A cage full of em!" Meowth says, shocked.

He walks to the cage and asks, "What are you guys doin' in dere?

Two of the Ekans explain what happened.

"What? You're tellin' me you were captured by some poachers?" Meowth asks.

The Ekans confirm.

"Hey, I'm gonna get yas out," Meowth says.

However, Meowth gets an electric shock as he puts his paws on the cage, revealing that it was electrified.

"Man. Dat hoit," Meowth says, feeling in pain.

Just then, he hear Jessie and James calling out to him, "Hey, Meowth!"

Meowth looks back and sees Jessie and James coming down the hill on Arbok and Weezing.

"Here we come! Standby!" Jessie calls out.

Pokémon express!" James adds.

Soon, they both reach the bottom and Meowth tells them the whole story.

"Oh, I get it," Jessie says.

"Those poor Ekans were pilfered by some lowly poachers," James says.

Arbok looks at the Ekans, worried.

"And dey've been zapped pretty badly from de electricity in dat cage," Meowth says.

"Of all the amateurish poaching antics. What kind of idiots would injure their own Pokémon?" Jessie says.

"Sickening!" James says, "If that's not bad enough, they leave the cage right here in the open."

Then Meowth says, "You know, we could take dese Ekans for ourselves."

"I like your thinking," Jessie says.

"Yes. Our first catch in the Hoenn region, without even breaking a sweat," James says.

Then Jessie turns to his Pokemon, "So, Arbok, use Acid!"

But Arbok looks on at the Ekans, just as worried as before

"Hey, Arbok? What has gotten into you?" Jessie asks, confused.

Arbok starts crying.

Soon, James understands, "I know what.

"Arbok used to be an Ekans before it evolved," Meowth says.

"And it doesn't want them to be hurt any worse," James says.

Jessie then reassures, "Oh, dear Arbok, we won't harm a scale on your friends' slippery heads, I promise. Cross my heart, on my Team Rocket honor."

Arbok is touched by its trainer's words.

"Jess, what honor?" James questions.

"Yeah, what have you got up dat sleeve, anyway?

"We're sitting on an Ekans gold mine. We'll create the biggest, baddest Ekans army this world has ever seen!" Jessie says.

"But they'd have to eat," James says.

Meowth gets out his calculator, "Feedin' dose guys will break da bank!"

"You two will just have to cut back on a few meals," Jessie says.

James and Meowth scream in alarm.

"Wobbuffet!" ("Bad idea!") Wobbuffet agrees.

Jessie then calls out, "Now, Arbok, Acid!"

The attack launches, but the bars don't melt.

"It didn't do a ting!" Meowth says.

Then James says, "So, watch and learn! Weezing, use Sludge attack, now!"

However, as Weezing prepares to pull off the attack, a Fearow swoops down and stops it, shocking Team Rocket before an SUV comes riding in with a cage behind it. The driver is soon revealed to be none other than Rico.

"All right, you clowns, who do you think you are messing with my property?" Rico demands.

And Team Rocket performs their motto.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble! Finders keepers, losers weepers!

James:

We're Team Rocket, so make it double! Jeepers Creepers!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation.

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above.

Jessie:

Jessie.

James:

James.

Jessie:

Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light.

James:

Surrender those Ekans or prepare for a fight!

Meowth:

Meowth! Dat's right!

Wobbuffet:

WOBBUFFET! (End of scene!)

Either unimpressed or not giving a car, Rico demands, "Let's try this again. What do you think you're doing with my Pokémon?"

"Stealing them of course!" Jessie says.

"We're creating the world's largest Ekans army!" James says.

Suddenly, Weezing starts to get teary-eyed.

Rico scoffs, "You don't know who you're dealing with.

In the cage are several of Weezing's pre-evolved form, Koffing, shocking Team Rocket.

"He also got a caseload of Koffing!" Meowth says, shocked.

Rico then introduces himself, "I'm Rico. I'm a Pokémon hunter. Per my client's wishes, I'm poaching as many poison Pokémon as I can."

"You're off to a good start, freak-o," James says.

"Dat's why you caught Ekans and Koffing!" Meowth says.

"And here you come, waltzing in to trying to poach from a poacher!" Rico says, "I'll go easy on you jokers though. Just give me your Arbok and Weezing and I'll let you go in one piece."

This shocked and angered Jessie and James.

Jessie says, "The nerve!"

"You want our Pokémon?!" James adds, just as angry.

"That's what I said. There's an extra bonus in it for me for every evolved Pokémon I can catch," Rico says.

Then Jessie says, "Catch them elsewhere. Arbok and I have been together too long for me to give it to you, buster."

"And Weezing and I are like brothers," James says.

"Fine. So be it. Then I guess I'll have to be taking them," Rico says.

Jessie refuses, "Yeah? Fat chance."

"Just try it," James says.

"Now it's you not knowing who you're dealing with," Meowth says.

Both Weezing and Arbok ready for battle.

Rico then calls out, "Fearow, go, Agility!"

Fearow takes to the wing.

Jessie calls out, "Poison Sting, Arbok!"

Arbok fires the attack.

James also calls out, "Weezing, Sludge attack. Go!"

Weezing also fires the attack.

Rico then calls out, "Dodge and use Fury Attack."

Fearow dodges both attacks and takes both Arbok and Weezing out easily, sending them flying back into their trainers.

"What happened?" Meowth asks.

Then Rico calls out, "Now, Fearow, Drill Peck!"

Fearow closes in.

Jessie then calls out, "Arbok, Wrap attack now!"

Arbok manages to coil its tail around Fearow's beak

"And that's a wrap!" Jessie says.

Then Rico calls Fearow back, "Fearow, return."

Fearow is promptly recalled.

"Hey, dat's not fair!" Meowth shouts.

Then Rico calls out his next Pokemon, "Go, Pupitar. Sandstorm."

Pupitar comes out of the Pokeball and creates a cyclone of sand that sends Team Rocket flying.

Team Rocket cries out, "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

"Wobbuffet!" (Stings like sand!)

"Ha! Those Pokémon were so weak, it wasn't even worth catching them," Rico says in remark.

Meanwhile, Mew and the others show Officer Jenny where they found the piece of net.

"We found it right here," May says.

"Poachers use capture nets to immobilize Pokémon before they catch them," Jenny says.

"That must have hurt them," Mew says.

Then Max notices, "Hey, look at that!"

Everyone looks down on the ground and finds tire tracks.

"Tire tracks," Jen says.

"The poachers must be traveling by car, they're still fresh," Officer Jenny says.

"They couldn't have gotten very far from here," Brock says.

Then Mew brings out her Pokeball, "We'll search from the sky!

Meanwhile, Meowth is looking at the damage done to his tail, "Oh, my aching tail. Dere's nothin' more painful den landin' on your tailbone."

"I really hate men like that!" Jessie says angrily, "I'm gonna tear him and his overblown ego limb from limb!"

"If he was a real tough guy, he wouldn't have to hide behind his Pupitar! This calls for a classic Team Rocket sting operation!" James says

"Wooobbuuu!" (Good plan!) Wobbuffet says.

However, they soon find themselves surrounded by Kakuna and Beedrill.

"What's going on here? This is not the kind of sting operation we meant!" Jessie asks.

The Beedrill charge, prompting Team Rocket to retreat.

Team Rocket cries out, "We'll show ourselves out!"

But as the Beedrill pursue the retreating Team Rocket, a small, round, green, bipedal Pokémon with a round body and cactus-like striations. It has a dark green rhombus shape above its face, and six dark green rhombus shapes that ring around its waist. It has dark circles around its eyes, and its mouth composed of several similar circles. It has two dark green spikes on each side of its head, along with a yellow flower bud on top of its head. It has two club-like arms that are ringed with dark green spikes, and its two stubby legs are dark green and conical.

Jessie cires out, "Out of the way, you little pincushin!"

"We're about to become one ourselves!" James panics.

"So SCRAM!" Meowth cries out.

The creature fires a Pin Missile at the Beedrill, forcing them to retreat and catching Team Rocket's attention.

Jessie and James sigh in relief, "Phew!"

"Dat was close!" Meowth says.

The heroic creature approaches.

Meowth then says, "Hey, it's a Cacnea."

"Gee, thanks. You really saved our skin," James thanks the Cacnea.

Then Jessie says, "I say we head that poacher off now and get the Ekans and Koffing."

"Head him off where, Jess? He's gone by now," James asks.

"Yeah. Guess you're right," Jessie says, realizing that James has a point.

However, Arbok gets an idea and places itself low to the ground.

"What is it doing, Meowth?" Jessie asks.

"Arbok can pick up on soundwaves in de oith and tell us where dat wily poacher's gone," Meowth says.

Jessie is impressed, "Well!"

The Canea soon approaches

"Oh, yes. We haven't properly thanked you," James says and gets out a bag of cookies, "A token of our gratitude."

Cacnea takes the bag.

Just then, Arbok says, "Sss-Bok! Charrr!" (Hey, guys! I heard a car!)

"Hey, Arbok just said dat it hoid a car," Meowth says.

"Good, I'm sure it's that poacher," Jessie says.

Jessie, Meowth and the Pokemon run off with James following behind.

James says to Cacnea, "Toodle-oo!"

Cacnea watches as they head off.

Meanwhile, Taillow finds Rico driving down the road with the captured Ekans and Koffing in tow. The five soon fly back to the group.

Mew calls out, "Taillow, did you see the poacher yet?"

Taillow confirms.

Then take us to him, right away!" Officer Jenny says.

Meanwhile, Rico spots Arbok bursting from the ground right in the middle of the road, forcing him to stop.

Rico gets off the car, "You must be that same Arbok. You've saved me some trouble," and readies his weapon, "Now don't you move."

Suddenly, a Smokescreen blinds the poacher before he can do anything. Rico looks and spots Team Rocket and their Weezing.

"Hello," Jessie says.

"Do you remember us?" James says.

The Ekans and Koffing smile when they see them, thinking they were going to save them.

"You bet. Now, Fearow, blow that Smokescreen away.

Fearow does so, revealing Meowth trying to open the cage while getting shocked in the process

"How dare you!" Rico angrily says.

Then Meowth chuckles, "Dis electricity is nuttin' compared to Pikachu's Thunderbolt attacks I'm used to."

The Koffing and Ekans look on in worry.

Rico calls out, "Fearow, use your Drill Peck on Meowth."

Fearow takes flight.

Jessie calls out, "Go, Arbok, Headbutt!"

Arbok charges in and nails Fearow, sending it right into the cage and shocking it.

"No, Fearow!" Rico calls out.

"How shocking, isn't it?" Jessie replies.

"You bad poacher man, you!" James says.

Fearow falls to the ground, knocked out by the electrical voltage while Meowth manages to unlock the cage, stopping the electricity, and freeing the captive Pokémon.

"Alright, guys, outta da cage, quick!" Meowth says.

"The Ekans and Koffing make their escape.

"No you don't!" Rico angrily says and readies his weapon.

"Arbok!" Jessie calls out.

"Weezing!" James calls out.

Both Pokémon jump in and attack with Poison Sting and Sludge, respectively, knocking Rico's weapon out of his hands while Jessie laughs in triumph.

"You've poached your last Pokémon, pally!" James says.

"And now dese Ekans and Koffing will be comin' wit us," Meowth says.

Now Rico is furious, "You've done it now! I'm so angry, you've left me no choice! Go, Pupitar!"

Pupitar comes out, but suddenly starts glowing, causing Team Rocket to worry.

"Oh no!" Jessie cries out.

"It can't be!" Meowth says, worried.

Pupitar morphs until it grows legs, arms and a head.

"Perfect. I knew it was ready to evolve," Rico says.

The new Pokémon stomps the ground, revealing itself to be a Tyranitar.

Scared and shocked, Meowth says, "Pupitar…"

"Evolved to Tyranitar!" Jessie and James say, scared and shocked as Meowth.

"Wobbuffet!" (We're so dead!) Wobbuffet cries out in fear.

"Wow! Dat's a big one!" Meowth says, frightened.

"Big deal!" Jessie says.

Then James calls out, "Now, Weezing, Smokescreen!"

Weezing launches the attack, blinding both Rico and his newly evolved Tyranitar.

"That showed him!" Jessie says.

Meowth turns to Ekans and Koffing, "Now run for it!"

The Pokemon agree.

But Rico is not having it, "No you don't! Tyranitar, Hyper Beam!"

Tyranitar fires the attack, stopping the Pokémon in their tracks and creating a massive crater

"Glad you decided to stay," Rico says.

Everyone turns towards him.

"I'll be taking back my Ekans and Koffing, along with all your Pokemon," Rico says.

Arbok and Weezing brace for battle.

Ï know just how to handle men like this," Jessie says.

"Tell me, please," James says.

"A simple Hyper Beam or two ought to teach him a lesson, quick," Jessie says and calls out, "Okay, Wobbuffet, go."

"Oh, yeah!" James says.

"Better yet, you could use Counterattack!" Meowth says.

"Woooobbuffet! ("I'm on it!") Wobbuffet says.

Rico calls out, "Hyper Beam!"

Tyranitar fires the attack.

Wobbuffet tries to perform the attack, "Wooobbu…" (Countera...)

But before Wobbuffet could counter the attack, it got blasted by it and was knocked out, shocking Team Rocket.

Weakened, Wobbuffet says, "Woobbufffet." (Man, that hurt.)

"Wobbuffet!" Jessie cries out.

"Looks like it's Counterattack failed!" James says, frightened.

"Dat Hyper Beam came so fast it didn't even have time ta do one!" Meowth says.

"Tyranitar fires another Hyper Beam, causing an explosion that catches Mew and the other's attention.

"Hey, what was that?!" Mew asks.

"I bet it's that poacher again!" Max says.

"Let's head over in that direction," Brock says.

"Right," Jeeny says.

Back with Team Rocket, it's shown that several trees were toppled over in the wake of that Hyper Beam.

"You fools," Rico says, "This wouldn't have happened if you'd handed over your Pokemon nicely. But now it's too late for that. So I'm going to take those Pokemon, and destroy you."

Team Rocket looks to the worried Ekans and Koffing and the determined Arbok and Weezing protecting them before looking towards each other, knowing just what had to be done, and nodding.

Jessie calls out, "Now, Arbok, take your friends and get out of here."

"Right. You too, Weezing," James says.

Weezing and Arbok were shocked.

"We know you're strong, but you're no match for Tyranitar," Jessie says.

Arbok however shakes his head and refuses, "Sss-Book. Sss-Bok!" (No! We can't leave you like thissss!)

Weezing feels the same, "Weezing, Weez." (Can't leave behind a friend!)

But then James says, "Listen. You're better safe than sorry. Truth is, we just care too much to allow you to be captured by someone like him, see?"

"Besides, all of those other Ekans and Koffing need you to help them right now," Jessie says.

Arbok turns to the Ekans, "Sss-Bok." (I guessss we'll ssstay with you.)

Weezing says to the Koffing, "Weezing." (We'll protect you all!)

"Now go!" Jessie says.

"We're able to take care of ourselves!" James calls out.

And Meowth says, "So, yous guys get outta here, and don't ya look back!"

Worried, Arbok says, "Sss. Sss-Bok!" (Jusssst don't get badly hurt!)

"Weezing. ("Please be safe") Weezing says, worried.

But then the two come to realize something, "Sss-Bok/Weez." (Wait.)

They both look towards each other before realizing what this could mean.

"Both Arbok and Weezing worriedly shake their heads, "Sss-Bok/Weez." (You're not gonna release us, are you?)

"Why drag this thing out any more?" Jessie responds.

"Just leave, now," James says.

Arbok and Weezing moan sadly before they look at each other and reluctantly agree

"Sss-Bok, ssshar," (Fine then, we see, let'sss move.) Arbok says.

"Weez," (Goodbye.) Weezing.

And so, they and the other Pokémon leave.

Suddenly, Rico says, "Idiots."

"Huh?" Team Rocket says, confused.

Rico says, "They're not going anywhere!" And calls out, "Tyranitar, Hyper Beam!"

Tyranitar charges and prepares to fire the attack, until…

"Fury Swipes!" Meowth shouts.

Meowth manages to land a blow and stops the Hyper Beam.

"An' dat's da name of dat tune," Meowth says, but soon realizes, "Huh?"

Right then and there, Tyranitar opened its eyes again and charged the attack.

Meowth cries out, "No!"

As the Ekans and Koffing were being taken away to safety, Arbok and Weezing hear the explosion and turn around.

James cries out, "Don't look back!"

"Keep going!" Jessie calls out.

Tyranitar roars, ready to battle.

"It's time for more Fury Swipes," Meoeth says.

Then Jessie charges in, "Try my Fury Swipes!"

"And try mine as well!" James calls out.

Arbok, Weezing, the Ekans, and Koffing all look on with worry and horror as their comrades get beaten up. Arbok and Weezing look with tears while watching their trainers and Meowth get brutally beaten from Tyranitar's attacks before they left with the others into the forest, crying before they vanished into the forest as Team Rocket is seen to be thoroughly thrashed

"Tyranitar, return," Rico says and recalls his Pokemon.

Rico grunts in frustration, "These three are more trouble than they're worth," and readies his weapon, "At least those Pokémon are mine," He chuckles cruelly but then felt something, "Huh? Hm?"

Rico finds the battered threesome grabbing his boots.

"We're not through!" James says.

"Dis ain't ovah yet!" Meowth says.

"We'll show you! There's still fight in us!" Jessie says.

"Hmm. Oh yeah?" Rico says and moves his boots.

"Oh!" Team Rocket react.

Rico leaves

Jessie then brings out her Pokeball, "You're not getting away that easily," and slowly gets up on her feet.

"Got get 'em Jessie," James says.

"Take down this creep," Meowth says.

Jessie throws her Pokeball, "Happiny, I choose you."

Happiny soon appears.

"Alright Happiny, let's take this guy down," Jessie says.

"Happiny," (Yeah!) Happiny says,.

"We'll see about that," Rico says and calls out, "Fearow, go!"

And Fearow comes out.

Rico calls out, "Give that shrimp your Drill Peack!"

Fearow then flies down for the attack.

Jessie calls out, "Use Disarming Voice!"

Happiny then fires the attack and it ends up being a direct hit, but Drill Peck gets the upper hand and hits Happiny.

"Happiny!" Jessie cries and mananges to catch her, but falls on the ground in the process.

"Happiny…" Jessie says, struggling to get up off the ground, but collapses.

This makes Happiny glare at the poacher.

"Well, it looks like I'll take that little Pokemon first," Rico says.

And Fearow flies towards Happiny for the attack. However, Happiny ends up performing an attack. She creates a ball of dark purple and black energy and throws it at Fearow, and it's a direct hit to cause serious damage. Team Rocket and even Rico are shocked. Soon, Fearow is knocked out cold.

Rico says in shock, "What?! Fearow, no!"

"That was Shadow Ball!" Meowth says, surprised.

"Happiny, learned Shadow Ball!" James says.

Jessie is pleased, "That's my little Happiny."

"Happiny," (Thank you, mommy.) Happiny says.

Suddenly, they hear a voice of a Growlithe, "Grow!" (Freeze!)

Rico and Team Rocket turn to see Mew and the others with Officer Jenny.

"So you're Rico, the Pokémon hunter. You're under arrest for Pokémon poaching," Officer Jenny says.

Rico then calls back Fearow and tries to call out another one of his Pokemon, "Then I'll use Tyranitar!"

Officer Jenny then calls out, " Growlithe, seize all of his Pokéballs now!"

Growlithe charges, seized Rico's Pokéball and knocked out his weapon

Max and Tomo cheers, "Alright!"

"Bulls-eye!" Brock says.

Officer Jenny then walks up to Rico, "Now, Rico, release all of the Pokémon that you've caught."

"You're a little late, Officer," Rico says. Then turns to Team Rocket, "They all escaped thanks to these three fools."

"Huh?" Everyone reacts in surprise.

"You three stopped the poacher?" May asks.

"We sure did," Meowth says.

"We may be bad guys, but we never sunk as low as that poacher," James says.

"And my little Happiny is able to beat that Fearow," Jessie says, snuggling Happiny.

Mew smiles, "Well guess it shows that despite you three being bad guys, you still have goodness somewheres."

"That's right," Mewoth says.

"Sorry we can't stick around," James says.

"But we're off," Jessie says.

Then the three dash off like they're high energy.

They call out, "Team Rocket's dashing off again."

Mew and the others are baffled.

"Those three are sure of something," Brock says.

Mew and the others nod.

Later in the evening, Jessie and James are still sad that they have to let their Pokemon go, but are glad to see that they're safe.

James turns to Jessie, "Do you really think Arbok and Weezing will be alright, Jessie?"

"I hope so," Jessie says.

But Meowth says, "Don't worry, guys."

"Huh?" Jessie and James reply confused.

"Dey're as tough as nails from all dat battling wit Pikachu and Eevee, right? I know dey'll be just fine," Meowth says.

"I suppose," Jessie says.

"Right," James says.

Right then and there, a familiar Pokémon comes jumping up.

"Huh?" The three respond, confused.

They look and find it's the Cacnea that helped them.

"Look who it is," Jessie says.

"It's dat same Cacnea," Meowth says.

James kneels to Cacnea, "Have you been following us all this time?"

Cacnea then gives him the bag of cookies, "Cac," (Yes.)

"Hey, it's okay. I gave this to you," James says as he takes out a cookie for it, "You should go ahead and eat it."

"Cacnea," (Thank you.) Cacnea says.

"It's really quite good," James says.

"Cacnea? Cac," (Its is?) says, and eats the cookie and was instantly delighted, " !Cac! ( Wow. That's so good! Thanks!)

"Look," Jessie says.

"Dat Cacnea is kinda cute," Meowth says.

Then James asks, "Cacnea, if you like, you can come along and travel with us. What do you say, huh?"

Cacnea happily says, "Cacnea! Cacnea!" (I sure would! Thank you guys.)

Jumps into James' arms, much to his excitement, and hugs it.

"We got a Cacnea!" James happily says.

However, James instantly gets pricked by its spines and screams in pain.

Saying goodbye to Arbok and Weezing was difficult for Jessie and James, but now they can experience the joys, and the pain, of a brand new friendship.
