The Blacksmith, in all fairness, did tell them exactly what was about to happen. The problem, really, is that when five heretofore unknown figures suddenly blip into existence a good decade and a half into the past, a lot of very powerful people notice. And many of them are less than pleased. Or; Those five from the Ever After end up scattered across Remnant, 12 years in the past.

When Blake and Weiss kill Adam in Argus, they both believe it's over. Until Weiss summons Adam in Atlas.
