(Early January 2021)

Not all video game characters were treated fairly. This was a sad fact Amy Rose the hedgehog and her friends learned the hard way upon moving to Litwak city. The pink hedgehog and her friends moved to the city after abandoning their game on the Nintendo eshop, sonic boom rise of lyric, considered one of the worst video games of 2014. They abandoned their game from boredom, haven't been played by anyone in years. Amy and her friends hoped to start new lives, but so far it wasn't easy.

The young pink hedgehog sat alone in an empty restaurant one evening, sad. When she moved here, she wanted to open a restaurant, so she built her own on the city's beach boardwalk, naming it Chez Amy. Unfortunately she learned it wasn't just bad guys that were treated badly, but characters from bad games as well. Her new restaurant saw little business, she just couldn't compete with tappers a few buildings away.

Currently she was finishing a sandwich she made earlier, wiping food and sauce off her gold bracelets and white gloves, as well as wiping her face clean. She didn't think she was gonna get any customers so she decided to close early.

"Maybe tomorrow I'll have better luck" Amy told herself

Amy collected her dishes and prepared to head to the kitchen to clean up, but before she could make it, she heard the door open. Tails walked in, and he wasn't alone, he had a group of people with him. Customers perhaps?

"Hi Amy, we're here for dinner" said Tails

"Tails, what a surprise. Come in and make yourself comfortable. I see you brought a group. Please, sit where you like" said Amy

Tails introduced Amy to his guests, Rancis of course, as well as all the sugar rush racers minus Vanellope, and Felix and Calhoun.

"Nice place you got here, cozy" said Taffyta

"And cleaner than tappers" said Candlehead

"It's so good to have more than a couple customers. Business is horribly slow" said Amy

"I can see that" said Calhoun

Amy put on an apron and white hat and went to the kitchen to prepare all the guests their food, special sandwiches with a secret sauce of her own creation. Everyone loved them.

"I must say miss Amy, your sandwiches are delicious" said Felix

"Thank you. I really appreciate it. I just wish others could see that" said Amy "it's not easy being a despised game character"

"Don't worry, in exchange for Tails teaching me to be a better pilot, I'm gonna have my girlfriend and her friend get characters like you some respect. They run this city" said Rancis

"I really appreciate that. But I need help now" said Amy

"You can try advertising" said Calhoun

"Free samples?" Crumbelina asked

"Are you the only one who works here?" Candlehead asked

"Free samples? Interesting" Amy told herself

Not long after, Amy closed up shop, knowing she wouldn't get more customers. She cleaned up the dishes, grabbed her coat and purse, then began the walk home. She and all her friends lived in victory plaza, which was a 10 minute walk from the beach. She was happy to have a warm home to go back to, and friends to talk to. She entered a large apartment building and made her way up several floors, before reaching her apartment. After a quick shower she settled down in bed and decided to watch some tv, all while brainstorming ideas for how to improve her business. If there's one thing she learned in her old game, she wouldn't get anywhere without taking risks.

(The next day)

Amy took Crumbelinas advice and decided she should have people sample her food. Unlike tappers which sold burgers and wings and stuff, she sold sandwiches and soups, salads, among other simple comfort foods. She went to a busy street near victory park with a ton of small sandwiches she made up, each with her own secret sauce. Everyone seemed to love the food.

"Like what I got? Then come on over to Chez Amy tonight for more food just like this" Amy would tell the passerby

Around dinner time, Amy was really lucky. A lot of people came to her restaurant to eat. She had to force her friends to work for her, but she promised it was only temporary until she could afford to hire employees. At least the tips were good. For once in a long time, Amy was happy.

Over at tappers, things were a little slow. Besides some regulars, including Ralph and Vanellope, it was pretty slow.

"That new restaurant a few buildings down must be good if we couldn't get a table there" said Vanellope

"You guys aren't thinking of ditching me are you?" Tapper asked

"No of course not. But it doesn't hurt to have a little competition" said Ralph

Tapper served them their drinks before walking into the kitchen. He was proud of this Amy person whoever she was but he was also nervous. He didn't have much to live for besides serving what he did. He was an old game character. He feared Amy could put him out of business if she was successful enough. He shouldn't have been worrying so much, he had loyal customers, he was well known among all of Litwaks arcade and its citizens who chose to live in this city. But he couldn't help but feel worried at the same time.
