(Litwak city, Vanellopes castle, November 2029)
The sugar rush racers stood outside the door to the castle one slightly cool November afternoon. Ralph, Vanellope, and their family were sad and upset. Recently Vanellopes daughter was overthrown from power, and worse, was now being held prisoner by the imperials. They weren't allowed to see her and Vanellope, Ralph, or Rancis had little power they could use to change that, their jurisdiction didn't go outside the city farmlands. The racers came by hoping to cheer the family up.
"This isn't going to work" said Gloyd
"We must try something, they're our friends after all" said candlehead
"Our friends who raised a psycho daughter. Are we all forgetting that kid caused a tsunami and wiped out half the city?" Taffyta asked
"The damage was fixed. And there's nothing that can be done about that now, she's gone and Vanellope needs cheering up" said Jubileena
"Fine, let's just get this over with" said Taffyta
Candlehead knocked on the door and waited for a response. After waiting a minute, she knocked again, and eventually got a response from Rancis. He didn't look his best and had messy hair.
"What do you guys want?" He asked
"We heard about what happened to your daughter, and we're here to cheer you up" said crumbelina
"We're gonna take you and your family out for lunch and ice cream. Sounds good right? Family crisis and all- uh I mean, ice cream" said Candlehead
"That's really thoughtful but I don't think-
"Come on rancy, please? We're taking you all, you, Ralph, Vanellope, your son" said Candlehead
"Don't call me rancy, and Kevin's not here, he went to play at his friends house. And-
The racers grabbed rancis and held him while others went inside to get Ralph and Vanellope.
"Trust us, you guys need this. Well buy you some new hair care products later" said Taffyta
"It's for the best. This'll make you forget all about what the empire did to-
"Candlehead, don't bring that up now" said Adorabeezle
After getting the 3 somewhat decent, the group went to tappers for some drinks.
"This is nice right? Just like old times hanging out" said Minty
"Yeah, I guess" said Vanellope
"Tapper, another" said Ralph
"Ralph you've already had 10 root-
Ralph slammed his fist.
"I said another, I rule this city and can do what I want, you hear me?" Ralph asked
"Ok, I gotcha" said Tapper as he sent him another mug
"So, Rancis, how's the flying treating you? You not thirsty you barely touched your root beer" said Candlehead
"The flying is going ok. Just trained some new students the other day. And I'm just not thirsty is all" said Rancis
"This have something to do with Lucy?" Taffyta asked
"Nah, that girl hates root beer" said Tapper
"Everyone they're still not better, we need comfort food, stat" said Minty
The racers took the 3 to chez Amy, a nearby restaurant for sandwiches and home style food.
"Feeling better yet?" Candlehead asked
"A little. But it's gonna take more than food and soda to make me forget about my daughter" said Vanellope
"Vanellope, I know you're sad but moping isn't bringing that kid back. And maybe it's a good thing the imperials took her" said Taffyta "they can knock some sense into her"
Rancis and Ralph furiously stood up
"What?" They both shouted
"She wasn't right in the head. Maybe they can make her somewhat normal" said Taffyta
"Are you saying my daughter is insane?" Vanellope angrily asked "do any of you think that?"
"Wasn't it obvious?" Swizzle asked
"Look, Vanellope, Lucy was a nice girl and all but she did some questionable things, like that tsunami" said Gloyd
"We fixed the buildings" said Ralph
"Besides, the imperials know how to run a galaxy, I mean how bad can their prisons really be?" Crumbelina asked
"I've seen her cell, and it's not good. Our daughter is in a cold dim lit cell, and the only other prisoners are some ponies she imprisoned. And they all hate her" said Rancis
"Oh, that must suck" said Candlehead
"My granddaughter might not have been perfect, but she's really sweet when you got to know her" said Ralph
"Oh yeah, when?" Taffyta asked
"There's this family in the farmlands, came here dirt poor. With some help, she made them successful business owners and expanded their home" said Rancis
"You mean those rabbit hybrids? I know them, nice folks" said Candlehead
"Yes, the smorelines. Surely you all remember when the fallen attacked, we all fought back. Lucy went off on her own to fight sure but she made plenty of kills" said Ralph
"When she was still in control of her own kingdom, she cared about all her worlds. Before that whole pony rebellion nonsense happened, she sent them emergency supplies so they wouldn't starve. It was only after that happened they rebelled, dumb unforgiving creatures" said Vanellope
"Yeah, she had issues, but she always found a way to make things right" said Rancis
"Right now, all I really want is to hold her and tell her everything will be ok" said Vanellope
"Me too" said Ralph
"That sounds nice. But you can't keep moping forever, is this what she would want? You have a son still with you, would he want this? You still have a city of people to worry about" said Gloyd
The 3 were silent
"Lucy will come back, if she's as strong as you make her out to be" said Candlehead
"Yeah, she'll pull through. It's just I'm her mom and I feel I need to protect her" said Vanellope
"You didn't protect her when the empire destroyed her army" said Taffyta
"Things were complicated" said Rancis
"Why don't we finish lunch and get you all some ice cream?" Candlehead asked
The group ate their food and continued trying to cheer the 3 up. The group eventually left, and almost got crushed by a super battle droid that fell from the sky.
"Ok seriously, are you gonna do anything to stop those from falling out of the sky?" Taffyta asked
"Not really much I can do about those" said Vanellope
"Just try to keep avoiding them" said Ralph
The group went to another shop on the beach pier, litwak creamery, owned by the frozen themed sugar rush racers. The group got to work on making one of the house specialties, 2 omega supreme sundaes. The sundae consisted of 8 scoops of ice cream and a bunch of toppings.
"One for you Ralph, and one for Rancis and Vanellope. Nothing cheers a person up like ice cream" said Snowanna
The 3 dug into their sundaes, and for the first time since Lucy was taken away, the 3 felt better.
"Thanks guys, these sundaes are delicious" said Rancis
"Hope you enjoy them. And don't worry about your daughter, I'm sure she'll be ok" said Adorabeezle
