It took a couple days, but the Imperials kept their promise of coming back. Early one morning, the royals of litwak city were asleep in their beds, when the roar of tie fighters flying close by scared them awake. The kids glitched out of bed in fright and Ralph nearly punched his wall. A look out their windows showed an imperial Star destroyer flying over the city, releasing shuttles full of troops and freighters dropping walkers into the streets.

"What in the world? What do those imps think they're doing?" Vanellope asked angrily

Vanellope marched down to the throne room with her family following behind

"Mom, dad, what's happening?" Kevin asked

"I'm not sure but I'm gonna-

Upon reaching the throne room, the family saw Taffyta sitting in vanellopes throne with 2 imperial kx droids and a couple death troopers standing around her.

"How in the world did you get in here?" Ralph asked

"Simple, I know the code. It helps having friends like these guys" said Taffyta

"What do you want?" Rancis asked

"I deliver a message from your good old friend, Sour Bill" said Taffyta

"Bill? What does that rotten traitor have to do with-

Lucy backed up when one of the KX droids approached her threateningly.

"As mayor of this district, I have been assigned by the ISB to deliver a message in response to the riots plaguing us because of that little screw ups book"

"My daughter isn't a screw up" Vanellope angrily replied

"Sure, whatever. Anyway, that's Bills Star destroyer up there. The grand Moff, no, emperor now, has dispatched extra protection to protect the imperial installations until they are repaired. Once they are, that destroyer leaves and all the extra troops are gone like they were never here. It's only temporary, a couple weeks at most. If I were you I'd do my best not to bother them" said Taffyta

"I don't approve of this. The citizens will never-

"The imps won't shoot anyone who doesn't bother them. I already sent notices to the district, but you're the queen so you can send the message to everyone in the city. Do what you feel you need to do or whatever, but the empire is staying for 2 weeks minimum" said Taffyta

She and her little entourage left the throne room, leaving the family annoyed. But they knew they had to send a message out to the citizens, so they did.

"This is Queen Vanellope of Litwak city. I know a lot of you are probably not thrilled with the Star destroyer orbiting overhead, and believe me I'm not either. The empire is only here to repair their bases and academy and the extra troops are just a precaution. I urge everyone not to interfere with them for your own safety. To ensure the imps don't overstep their boundaries as a precaution, I'm authorizing droids to patrol districts 1-10, to help keep the peace. I'm also enacting a temporary curfew at 9 pm sharp until the empire leaves. I know this may sound hard, but I don't want anymore violence if it can be avoided"

To some in the city, the presence of the droids brought a little relief, but to the pro imperial citizens, it felt like a betrayal having to be checked by them to leave a district, as checkpoints were set up near imperial installations. Some citizens also found the presence of droid tanks and gunships going by their homes.

"Hey tin can, go back to your dumb queen, we don't need you" a child shouted at a droid in a tank

"We are only here to protect and prevent riots" it responded

Another kid threw an apple core at the droid

"Just like the rebellions on equestria" it told its crew

"Tell me about it" another responded

Near the imperial academy, a couple troopers looked at some droids near a checkpoint.

"Is that what I think it is?" One asked

"Yeah, clone wars battle droid, queen Lucy's idiot foot soldiers"

"Don't see them walking around the city much"

"No, but when you do there's usually a bunch of them"

"We don't need their help. Besides, only people trying to get in here are loyal to us"

"Well, then you know the drill"

The troopers walked up to the checkpoint and executed the droids, much to the anger of the preschool characters in district 4.

"Back off, these things are more dangerous than you think"

Back in district 1, honeys store never even opened, she was too worried for her family after the riots, and Rancis told her to leave town for a couple weeks just to be safe. Shank, being loyal to Vanellope, followed all the rules along with her crew. They knew it was best to be on the royals safe side than the empires

"Identification please" a droid asked her

Shank gave her id to the droid

"You guys know me and my crew, is this really necessary?" Shank asked

"Only until the empire goes away. Identity confirmed, your groceries will be unloaded for you. You'll find her majesty's delivery system perfect during the curfew period should it become necessary" said the droid

"And how is Lucy? Haven't seen her in a couple days" said Shank

"We report one attempted suicide today"

"Oh, she's still doing that?" Felony asked

"She blames herself and her book for the riots" said the droid "let me tell you it's not fun watching her try to drown herself"

By nightfall, the curfew was in effect, but obviously not everyone was happy.

"Lousy droids, you can't tell me what to do!"

"This is by order of the litwak royal family, all citizens return to your homes or face arrest"

Some of the citizens complied, while one threw a paint can at a super battle droid. This prompted the droid to slam the citizen into a wall, making some angry. A few stormtroopers noticed and shot the droid dead

"You're free citizen"

"Get out of here, you lousy imps, we're doing our jobs"

The stormtroopers killed a few more droids, much to the delight of some of the citizens, but they too were attacked by more droids. District 1 once again fell into some chaos. The other districts soon found themselves embroiled in even more riots as they too fought their oppressors. Vanellope and Ralph looked on through the windows of their home, Vanellope furious.

"I just want peace!" Vanellope shouted

"All this over a book?" Ralph asked

Vanellope began walking away

"Has Lucy come out of her room yet?" She asked

"No, but she's under watch after her you know what earlier" said Ralph

"This is really bad. Send those vulture droids to scare the people back inside. I'm sending a message to the grand Moff, I will not sleep another night in an emergency bunker because of a riot" said Vanellope
