this is a random idea i thought of, hope you like it
Ralph stood in the castle throne room watching as yet another pile of dead droids were being left in front of him by the litwak city police department. The police troopers had finally dropped off the last one. His granddaughter for the last month had sent the droids out to help out the community to prove they weren't that evil, clearly tha wasn't working.
"So, what exactly were they doing?" Ralph asked
"That one was washing a window, that one helping an elderly woman across the street, couple of them directing traffic through a detour" said one of the troopers
"And how did they die?" Ralph asked
"That one had a brick thrown at it, that one I shot. Pretty sure that one got pushed off a building. The citizens weren't exactly thrilled seeing them" said the trooper "well that's all of them, have a good day Ralph"
As the troopers left, Vanellope had walked in, dropping her purse and car keys upon seeing the pile of dead droids.
"Again? It's been 2 weeks I come home to see a pile of dead droids, I'm sick of it" said Vanellope
"Lucy's only trying to get people to like her droids" said Ralph
"Well it's clearly not working. Heck I don't even like them, I just tolerate them because Lucy repurposed them, but they're idiots. Where is she?" Vanellope asked
"Not here. She's on a date with her boyfriend" said Ralph "said something about noodles"
"I'm gonna give her a call" said Vanellope as she pulled out her phone
"Kid, don't bother-
"Oh I am gonna bother her, I don't want to see another pile of dead droids in my throne room" said Vanellope
With Lucy, who was now 13 in this story, she was enjoying a bowl of noodles at a small Japanese place in district 2 with her boyfriend, her old classmate Norville crisp. After Vanellope called, Lucy was visibly upset.
"Lucy, what's wrong?" Norville asked
"My moms putting an end to operation droid reform. The citizens keep killing them and moms tired of the pile of bodies being brought home. Why can't the citizens see they're not so bad? At least you like them don't you?" Lucy asked
"Um, about that. I kinda don't, mostly because of my brother. I mean battle droids? What were you thinking at the time?" Norville asked
Lucy was angered that even her boyfriend didn't support her plan and smushed a plate of dumplings on his head before storming out.
"Wait Lucy come back I didn't mean it, I'm sorry. Dang it, why did I say that? Stupid stupid stupid"
Back at home, Lucy was venting to her brother Kevin about her situation as he looked at a book.
"My droids aren't dumb and evil, they're just misunderstood. They're the most hardworking machines I could ever ask for. Why can't anyone see that? Are you even listening to me?" Lucy angrily asked
"I can hear you sis. But I'm trying to look at this Star Wars art book I acquired from Amazon" said Kevin
Lucy looked at the cover page, it read 'Art of Star Wars galaxys edge' on the the front.
"Typical Kevin" said Lucy
"Check out these photos in the back of the book, did you know Disney once made a Star Wars hotel set on a spaceship?" Kevin asked
"Spaceship hotel?" Lucy asked
Lucy took the book and looked at the pictures. There was a big beautiful space cruise ship called the Halcyon, and it was part of something called the galactic starcruiser.
"These are some nice concept pictures for something I've never heard of in all the trips we take to the Disney parks websites" said Lucy
"I looked it up a little when I found this book. It didn't last very long, only a year and a half. We could afford it but not many people could, among many other things" said Kevin
"You know this little book just gave me an idea. While the gamers and users can't go to space and have stuff like this, we can. With a space cruise ship, people will get pampered and taken care of by my droids. They'll finally see how helpful they can be in a relaxed and controlled environment. Plus a little extra money on the side" said Lucy
"Wouldn't hurt to try. But space cruise games don't exist, how would we even get a ship for such a thing?" Kevin asked
"I have ways" said Lucy
Lucy quickly got to work using her queen resources to get a ship designed and price quoted. Unfortunately it was a little out of her budget, and vanellope was also unwilling to invest in something so risky, not believing it would work. Unwilling to give up such a great idea, the twins went to go ask one of the wealthiest citizens in the game and a big celebrity who was also their friend. Mayor Honey Shaw of district 1.
The twins walked up to honeys house in their royal attire and knocked on the door.
"I hate wearing this tie. Are you sure this is gonna work?" Kevin asked
"It's gotta. Besides honey owes us" said Lucy
"She's mayor of the district, she's got other priorities" said Kevin
Honey opened the door wearing her mayor outfit, consisting of a white blouse, black suit jacket, several strands of pearls, her hair in a bun, a black skirt, and heels.
"Oh, Lucy, Kevin, what a surprise. Don't mind me I was in my office working" said Honey
Lucy patted her purse
"Miss Honey, we have an amazing business opportunity for you we'd like to share" said Lucy
"Oh? Well come on in" said Honey
The twins entered and made themselves at home as honey offered them some tea.
"I'm sure you're aware our droids have been more active around the city, with less than desirable reactions from the citizens" said Kevin
"I'm mayor of the district, I see the complaints" honey reminded them as she tugged her pearl necklace slightly
"Well Lucy wants to show the citizens they're more than just killing machines and can be helpful. And we have a nice, safe and secure environment in mind for that" said Kevin
Lucy then pulled a hologram device from her purse and activated it, pulling up a hologram of a large spaceship with many windows on the sides and named the Litwak.
"It's beautiful, what is it?" Honey asked
"Space cruise" both twins replied
"What better way to show the citizens they're welcome than if they're pampered and taken care of in a secure environment. Plus it's a new way for people to see our galaxy. We'll have 2 day cruises, week long cruises. Not only will we make lots of money, the citizens can see battle droids aren't that evil" said Kevin
"I think it's great. I've always wanted to take a cruise, seen them on my tv shows" said Honey
"The reason we're here however is we need investors" said Lucy
"Ah, I see where this is going" said Honey
She went towards a rack and picked up her purse.
"What are we talking here?" Honey asked as she began digging in her purse
"500" said Lucy
"Only 500? Deal" said Honey
"No, 500 million credits" said Kevin
Honey dropped her purse at the sound of that.
"What?"
"You see miss honey, we don't exactly have the funds to build such a ship. Yes we're rich being royals but we have budgets set aside for city stuff. All we have are our savings. We have a million dollars each saved, you however have 10 billion in credits accumulated. How I won't question or bring up but this is very little from someone like you" said Lucy
"No it's not Lucy. That's a lot for me. Especially for a plan that might not work" said Honey
"But it's for a good cause. I wore a tie for this" said Kevin
"Please? Mom won't help us but I'm certain this will work. Maybe not 500 million, but can you give us anything? Anything at all?" Lucy asked
"Have you considered using resources you already have?" Honey asked
"Just because I rule a galaxy doesn't mean I can just do whatever. Come on, you're a billionaire" Lucy pleaded "and besides, you owe us"
"Oh no, you're not using that excuse again. That's it, meeting over, get out" said Honey
"Fine, we don't need you anyway, we got other rich friends who'd be more than glad to help us out" said Kevin
The twins left the house and slammed the door on their way out.
"I really hope our other friends can help. The crisps are like family, they can help us. And thankfully they live next door" said Kevin
"I'll head to the farmlands and talk to the smorelines and Reese" said Lucy
"I'll tell your droid driver that's where you're heading" said Kevin
"No Kevin, you can take the car home, I have alternate transportation. Been waiting to use this"
Lucy pulled a blue baton like stick from her purse, which surprised Kevin.
"Is that what I think that is?" Kevin asked
"Took some coding to make it work outside of the arenas of my gaming planet, but now I have a new ride" said Lucy
Lucy held both her arms out holding the stick, and pulled the stick into 2 pieces. When she did, a retro looking blue motorcycle type vehicle materialized with Lucy inside of it. The vehicle sped off instantly towards the farmlands.
"I want a light cycle too" Kevin whined "though maybe not as dated as Lucy's. And why am I still wearing this tie?"
The twins went to go ask some of their classmates/friends families. And while they were able to convince them to donate something, they were nowhere near enough. They even tried to convince the citizens of the city of their intentions and got some money. After doing the math a few days later, Lucy was able to determine how much they had to spend
"We only have 5 million in funds. It's not enough to build the litwak. Maybe moms right, maybe this plan won't work" said Lucy
"Don't listen to mom. Maybe we can do something with this. Miss honey did ask us to maybe use something we already had" said Kevin
"Yeah, after denying us any money at all. What could we use 5 million in funds on?" Lucy asked
"Well…."
(In space)
The 2 stood in the hangar of one of Lucy's droid ships, a dreadnought named Lucy's tantrum.
"No, absolutely not. This isn't a pleasure ship" said Lucy
"Sis, half your ships are glorified cargo ships repurposed to be battleships. Surely we can turn this aging and soon to be retired dreadnought into a cruise ship for the people" said Kevin
"But I don't want to turn one of my ships into a cruise ship" Lucy whined
"You don't have any other options. It's all we got sis" said Kevin
Lucy reluctantly agreed, and began preparations on what she could do with the ship. At dinner that night at home, Lucy told her family about the plan.
"It's never gonna work" said Vanellope
"But there's a slim chance it might" said Rancis
"You're really gonna let me be captain?" Ralph asked
"You have always wanted to explore the galaxy, grandpa. Plus you're the biggest, strongest, and super fun guy I know. And my droids like you too" said Lucy
"Well I look forward to running the ship" said Ralph
"Anyone agree to test this thing?" Vanellope asked
"As much as she didn't support the idea, we're gonna ask miss Honey to volunteer. With her reputation, she can make anyone want to go on this thing, citizens trust her. I'll ask her myself once the preparations are complete" said Kevin
