When it came to matters of the heart, Erza Scarlet was not expecting stern great-grandaunts and their meddlesome interventions.
"I terribly and deeply apologize for all of this," Gray Fullbuster, the Count of Frostshire said, his voice apologetic. He sighed before giving her a dry smile, "Most people aren't fortunate enough to have their great-grand-aunts present in their lives but Auntie Fritzi has always been there in my life for as long as I could remember, even my grandfather could not avoid her presence at all and she was only five years old when he was born."
"Well, my lord, it is what it is as they say." Erza shrugged her shoulders, "I am fine if she is not fond of me," she confessed, "I actually find it even more exhilarating that there is some backlash and opposition."
He raised an eyebrow at her words. "And, why is that, Miss Scarlet?"
She answered, "It makes being in a fake courtship with you all the more fun! Would not you say so?"
He pondered for a moment before smirking, "You, Miss Erza Scarlet are one interesting woman."
"Indeed, I suppose I have to be in order to be worthy of being your lover. Goodness, I was so close to pointing a sword at Mister Bolton because he was under the assumption that I have been your mistress for quite some time now."
"Even Auntie Fritzi believed that."
"Yes, I did and if it were not for you two telling me the truth, I would have forced you two down the aisle and requested for a special marriage license as soon as possible," Auntie Fritzi declared, her voice booming all throughout the room.
Erza and Gray both stared at the elderly woman, Freyanakshi "Fritzi" Fullbuster in front of them, the said woman was currently holding her current beloved pet iguana, Joy.
"Auntie Fritzi, what are you doing here?" Gray asked, walking over to her to take her coat.
Erza bowed, preferring to do so rather than curtsy with her saree, "Hello there, Madam. I hope you are in good health and doing well. It has been a while since we have last been together."
"Yes, it has been a while for sure. Thirteen days to be more precise," she replied, grinning at Erza before standing on her toes to pinch Gray's lips. "Why have you not told me that you were involved in another duel? Graymont Makoto Fullbuster, I can not believe you!"
"So, your full name is Graymont Makoto Fullbuster, I see. Makoto is such an adorable middle name," Erza teased, "I think I understand now why she calls you her little mountain penguin."
"You sure are one to talk, Miss Erza Katrinenissa Scarlet," Gray said back, "Katrinenissa has to be one of the more unique middle names I have ever heard of. And, I thought Miss Juvia Lockser's full name of Juvia Lakshimitreyi Shreya Imelda Lockser was a mouthful."
"Goodness, I can not believe that nobody told Pilar Lockser to be more mindful when it comes to naming her grandchildren…Lockser family definitely knows how to leave us stunned when it comes to how they name their children," Fritzi chuckled, "I suppose the poor Miss Juvia Lockser is merely a victim to her grandmother's naming value and ideals."
