CHAPTER 11: THE END?

When Mewtwo returned to his home, he ate one of the fruits and turned on his TV, which he had made himself. It had been a day since he had said farewell to the two and already he felt loneliness creeping up on him. As he sat down he listened to the news report...

"About a week ago a little girl named Kirya Denings and her pokémon, Shaddra, which is an Absol, was kidnapped by a couple members of the group of Team Terror as they have known to be called. Amazingly yesterday the two returned home seemingly by themselves. Mark and Carrie, Denings, famous for their inspiring novels and artwork say that they couldn't believe it, but that they were not helped by anyone. This amazing feat is sure to be talked about for years. There seems to be something wrong with this perfect picture however. When we interviewed Kirya she said this:

Start Interview:

"Kirya, your parents say Shaddra led you home. That's an amazing feat. What do you have to say to that?"

"Papa Moonwalker helped us. He gone now..."

"Who is this? Carrie do you know what she's talking about?"

"Umm...Her imaginary friend. She's at that stage at the moment, but I guess because of everything that has been happening that part disappeared for her. A shame actually since she's so young."

"Yes, such a shame." End Interview:

"We also asked Kirya to draw us some pictures of her adventures through the woods. This is what she drew."

It showed various picture. Not too well done but still... There was one of her playing with the water pokémon. Others of her and Shaddra. But most of all there was a catlike purple pokémon somewhere in the picture. Mewtwo's face paled at this. This was not right. Those reporters should have left it at 'amazingly yesterday they returned seemingly by themselves' but no they had to dig didn't they?

"This strange pokémon was also spotted by one of the citizens of Klayblue Town as well, but this is questioned on the account that the person who reported this has a mental issue. Is this just something from Kirya's imagination or...is it real? We will probably never know. That's it for today's show of Poke'News tune in next time for the-

Mewtwo shut it off. Humans were beginning to notice him. He had no choice in this now. Yes, he could erase their memories, but hundreds of people had heard that newscast and now, it would be so hard... What did it matter anyway? As long as they did not know the real truth. The truth about him and his past. Then he realized something: Humans could do nothing to him... He was the most powerful pokémon in the world and without connections that could hurt him, without a way to trap him, they could do nothing. Many of those people would come to belief that he was real, but the others, the ones would should truly want him, never will. For the time being, he was safe...

But he needed comfort. Comfort of knowing that this wasn't the end. He had never wanted comfort before but this new twist of events led him to that one truth. In his mind he sang:

Farewell to the sun, Hello to the moon, Sleep under starlight, Above Earth below,

This tune for thigh spirit, Sweet dreams come to thee, Of flight in the sky,

Of love from she.

Was it the end? He didn't think so...
