CHAPTER 44: EPILOGUE
Indeed, he was right. Parenthood was more of an adventure, than anything else the two had experienced…and they loved every moment of it. Even though things sometimes became rough, it was a journey they were glad to take. In the following years, the trio of children would amaze them in more ways than one, and delight them with first words (other than "mew!"), first steps, and first flights…. And in those years, a few new additions to the family, other children that Mewtwo and Neva were happy to bring into the world, joined them…
Gabriel would later join Mew's child, Mewa, in the Mew colony in the Amazon rainforest, studying the differences and similarities that the two species had. He would also stop a later threat, a monstrosity of a creature, that threatened the jungle. However, through all of that, some suspected that the real reason he stayed was Mewa herself…for even though they were different by far, they could tell there was a certain attraction between the two. This would later humorously dismay Mewtwo, because she had inherited her mother's playful attitude…
Darien on the other hand would join up with the now teenage Kirya, after becoming friends with her when they'd been allowed to meet. Shaddra, having become mates with the male Absol who'd once taken a fancy to her, would accompany them in their travels. She had learned of her own origins shortly after Mewtwo had left herself and Kirya years back. She was actually the child of one of the alpha members of the Absol clan, hence, how she learned the lullaby that so comforted Kirya as a child. It was special, only sung to members of "royalty". However, she was not first in line for leadership…and didn't want to be either.
The dark pokémon currently has had a number of cubs, three at last count. Kit, the runt, was to become Angelyn's fast friend. But besides Kirya and Shaddra, Darien would meet another person who would impact his life greatly. Sarah…Kirya's best friend. Later, unbeknownst to even the amber-eyed girl herself, they would find themselves falling for each other. This would raise dire protest from Mewtwo, even though Neva was more lenient. However, the reaction from the girl's own parents would cause far more damage than proved healable... But the two would get through it, in time…
Angelyn, the last of the original bunch of children, would be put on an extremely uncertain path. Out of all the children, even Darien, she would turn out to be the most alike to, oddly enough, Morgan…incredibly rebellious. With Kit at her side, her own quest for truth would lead her into the darkness of the world, as she searched for answers to questions even Mewtwo knew no answers to. It would lead her into shadows, which could not usually be penetrated…but she would come out into the light, back to her family, in the end. As her name included, she was alike to an angel, aglow and lighting the way. Perhaps, instead of lingering in the night as the rest of her family did, she would be the first to step into the world of sunlight…and make it safe for others to follow…
And while the adventuring floor was mostly taken by their offspring, Mewtwo and Neva themselves would have their share of escapades as well. Mostly however, they preferred the "quiet" life they had in the city, occasionally going to Mt. Quena for a break, usually with their children accompanying them. Though they would have their shares of arguments, unlike most couples, human and pokémon alike, they would remain together until their deaths, and beyond it… For true love in itself, is far stronger than most other powers in the universe…as they would prove, time and time again… And they couldn't be happier, doing so.
