Ch5
Cat Noir stealthily landed on Marinette's rooftop. Alright the quicker we sort this out the better. Technically he should be at school but he had to find out for sure what Marinette was doing.
He pushed on the door that led to her room and found out that it was locked. "Alright Venom your turn." Placing his hand on the door symbiotic tendrils emerged and went into the lock and jiggled it for a bit before he heard a clicking sound.
"Get ready kid," Venom warned. "Stalkers can be very intense."
He quietly pushed open the door and stepped inside. His heart raced in his chest as he descended into Marinette's room. As he entered into her quiet bedroom he looked around and saw a few things.
First were all the photos on the wall of him. Now he was a model and public figure but some of them weren't taken with his consent and were taken when he wasn't looking. Turning around he noticed something that looked like a schedule.
"No," he muttered as he squinted his eyes. Fencing, Chinese, and various other events of his private schedule. His heart sank and suddenly he didn't feel safe. "How did she know all of these things."
Out of the corner of his eyes he saw a little shrine with his picture on it and what appeared to be a bit of his hair, he wanted to vomit. She needs help. Taking out his phone he quickly snapped a few pictures, he had to put an end to this. His body shook as he quickly turned around and bolted out of the room feeling a mixture of shock, fear, and betrayal at having his personal space invited in such a way.
What kind of power up is this? Ladybug watched in a mixture of shock and horror as Cat or Venom Noir fought off the akuma using a series of symbiotic tendrils. The akuma of the week was an akumatized kid who was upset over some homework preferring to play video games instead.
As a result the boy's body looked like he wore some sort of techno armor with wires shooting electricity coming from his body. Now normally such an opponent would require some level of thought. However, her partner was beating the living day lights out of the poor akumatized boy.
Cat Noir held the boy down with a series of tendrils and extended his hand. "Cataclysm!"
She winced as the child screamed. Cat Noir brought his attack down on the akumatized object and the dark butterfly flew out. We rally have to talk about this suit of his. She swung her yoyo and caught the akuma. "Miraculous Ladybug!"
As usual everything was fixed and the innocent civilian freed from the controls of Hawkmoth. "Pound it!"
She looked and saw his fist and she reciprocated the fist pump. "Um Cat Noir can we talk about this power up of yours?"
"Why you like it?" Cat Noir flexed his biceps and it took all her will power to stare. Stupid sexy Cat Noir.
She cleared her throat and shook her head. "Where did you get this power up?"
"Oh uh its sort of something I discovered with my kwami," Cat Noir said avoiding her gaze. "You like it?"
Don't stare Don't stare. His new suit really outlined his upper body and left little to the imagination. "It's just you seem more ferocious when you are in it, are you sure you can control this power up?"
Cat Noir folded his arms. "Yeah I'm still learning how to do it." Suddenly his ring beeped. "Hey got to go see you around Ladybug."
"Y-Yeah see you." She turned around but stealthily caught a peek of her partner's backside as he leaped off the roof with his rod.
Stupid sexy Cat Noir. Why did he get more attractive? Shaking her head she quickly headed home as her own miraculous was about to time out.
As soon as she arrived at her room she ended the transformation and sat down on her chair. "Tikki did you know of any past Cat Noir's with abilities that he has now?"
Her kwami frowned and shook her head. "No I haven't. Though Plagg always does seem to find new abilities every now and then. Maybe he has a new one?"
She looked to the ground and frowned. "I don't know, something about it doesn't seem right. It feels like he is hiding something from me."
Tikki looked away awkwardly. "Well you do keep secrets from him."
"But that's different I'm the guardian," She said. As guardian she had to have some level of authority over Cat Noir.
"Marinette you both are equals don't forget that," Tikki said. "If you keep him out of the loop he may eventually decide to do his own thing."
"I just feel like he his hiding something." She shook her head. "Never mind I'm too tired to deal with this at the moment."
With that she quickly got ready for bed and retired for the night. The next morning she got up and stretched and pulled down the copy of Adrien's schedule that she had on the wall. "Alright today after school he should have fencing," She said her eyes scanning the schedule voraciously. "Then he usually goes home to practice piano."
"Are Marinette are you sure you should have this?" Tikki asked. "This can be seen as an invasion of privacy."
She rolled her eyes. "It's not weird, we're in love. I already have everything planned, we'll be the best couple ever and have a bunch of kids in a nice house!" She could already see it in her head, she just had to make sure everything went according to plan.
After getting ready for her day she headed to school. She sat in her seat and chatted with Alya when he came in. As usual she did her best to not seem too obvious but she couldn't help but stare at Adrien. His bright blonde hair and smile melted her heart. As she looked down she couldn't help but notice he had been working out a thought that made her heart flutter.
"Hey Marinette you're staring again," Alya said nudging her with her elbow."
She shook her head and looked down. "S-Sorry."
Alya chuckled. "Don't worry he'll come around I know it."
As usual she did her best to concentrate during class but something about Adrien always made her gaze drift to him. Adrien I hope one day you understand how much I want you. But it would pay off, when he realized they were meant to be together.
When school ended she discreetly followed Adrien out of class and saw him enter his limo. I wonder how his fencing will go? Curiosity go the better of her as she began to follow Adrien's limo by means of the side street. However, to her surprise the limo turned right at the intersection instead of left.
Huh? That's not the way to his fencing lesson? Where could he be going? She paused as she reached the corner and saw the limo drive off. I have to get to the bottom of this. Did Adrien change her schedule? If so where was he going?
Using all of her strenght she did her best to keep an eye on the car. However, she lost sight of it. Damn it where did it go? She reached the end of the street and saw the park in the distance. After taking a few deep breaths and regaining her composure she looked around and saw it parked in the distance.
"There it is!" She carefully approached the limo only to see Adrien's bodyguard reading a newspaper.
Where could she be? She quickly scanned the area and that was when she saw him. Adrien had his back to her talking to some blonde haired girl. Her blood boiled when she saw the girl laugh. Who is she and why is she talking to my Adrien? She knew all of Adrien's photographers and even followed their websites and professional pages in case of any updates on Adrien, and this girl wasn't one of them.
She watched Adrien type something on her phone her blood turning cold. No he couldn't be seeing her. The though made her heart freeze. No we were supposed to be together how could this happen?
Adrien then went over to a nearby bench and placed his bag on a bench beneath a tree with his phone on top of it before retuning to talk with the girl.
I have to know what is going on. As the two talked she discreetly made her way over to Adrien's phone, she had done this before and Adrien was still talking to that girl. As soon as she reached the bench she quickly grabbed Adrien's phone. Alright now's my chance. She quickly began to type in the password to his phone, something she had long ago memorized.
"Marinette what are you doing?" Adrien asked.
Her blood froze. She slowly looked up and saw Adrien his arms folded and his brow furrowed. "That's my phone. Give it back now." He held out his hand his gaze hardening.
She gave him a sheepish smile as she handed it back. "Uh Uh I was just checking to make sure nothing was-"
"Marinette don't lie," Adrien looked at his phone. "How do you know my password and how did you know I was here? This was a private photoshoot."
"I uh." Sweat formed on her brow as she tried to make the right answer Adrien looked at her with such disappointment it broke her.
"Forget it I know the answer," Adrien said putting his phone away.
"Y-You do? Great then we can-"
"You're stalking me," Adrien said.
Her world fell apart at the sharpness of his words. "W-Wait no I didn't."
"Don't lie Marinette. You shouldn't know my schedule or the password to my phone," Adrien said. "I saw you try to take it and I've seen you constantly follow me. I've constantly given you the benefit of the doubt but I'm afraid this is the end of friendship."
It was like he doused her with a bucket of ice cold water. "Wh-What are you saying Adrien?" Her legs shook under his gaze. No this wasn't supposed to happen we were supposed to be together.
"I'm giving you this one warning," Adrien said as he took a picture of her. "Take my stuff again and follow me around I'll have my father put a restraining order on you; trust me you won't want that."
"Please no!" She begged but there was no mercy in Adrien's gaze only disappointment and disgust.
"Goodbye Marinette. We are done here." With that Adrien grabbed his bag and walked away.
She watched as she left and fell to her knees tears falling down his face. "How he could he do this to me? We were supposed to be together forever."
Tikki flew out of her earrings. "Calm down Marinette. He's just hurt right now because you broke his privacy."
"But we are meant for each other," She muttered as she saw all the plans she made to woo Adrien crumble before her. The future life they had now blew away like a gust of wind.
"Well he still has a right to his privacy Marinette," Tikki said. "You know having all that private personal information could be seen as unhealthy."
"But I do it because I love him," She said softly. "I love him so much and now he wants nothing to do with me." She sobbed as she got up and ran out of the park.
I can't believe she did that. Cat Noir leaped through the dark city doing his best to not let his anger get the best him.
I saw her as a friend and she was stalking me. Just thinking about it made him feel icky inside, suddenly that sweet girl he knew in class was now not so sweet. Oh god father is going to destroy her if he finds out.
A mixture of indignation and disgust filled him up. How could violate his personal space in such a way? He was a person not just a model. He'd be lying if he said he didn't want to tell his father, in part because his father would probably destroy Marinette's life, and the thing was a part of him really wanted his father to while another was more hesitant.
He landed on a rooftop and retracted the symbiote mask. Venom's head formed and looked out into the city with him. "Don't feel about it, she invaded your privacy and I doubt this was the first time."
"I-I know," he said. His stomach turned at the possibility that he knew was a fact. An icky sensation washed over him making him want to vomit. "I'm know I'm a model but still what gave her that right to do that sort of thing?"
"Some people are crazy. Just set firm boundaries with her and don't be afraid to get your father involved," Venom said.
"That'll make things worse," He muttered. "My father rules my life with an iron fist." His blood just thinking about it, yeah his father cared about him but he was also cruel.
The sound of footsteps landing nearby made him get up, Venom quickly disappeared into his suit as a familiar person walked up. "Hey Cat Noir nice night huh?" Viperion walked up to him, the snake hero had a carefree smile that matched his attitude.
"Yeah just a bit tired," he said as the two sat next to each other and looked out into the city.
"Is something wrong?" Viperion asked.
He frowned. "A girl has been stalking my personal life. I called her out but I fear she may try to play the victim."
"That's not right." Viperion folded his arms. "You have a right to your boundaries, don't be afraid to put them."
"Thanks." Taking a deep breath he looked out into the city and thought of Marinette. Just what else was she doing? Was she still stalking him awaiting his next move? The thought sent a shiver down his spine. "So did Ladybug give you the snake miraculous for tonight?"
The snake hero nodded. "Yeah she said I could wield it temporarily."
"I see." Another day another secret. Yeah he knew Viperion was Luka but would it have killed ladybug to tell him that she wanted to give him the snake miraculous? Well I have my own secret if she wants to play that game.
"Oh what's up with your suit?" Viperion asked.
He looked down at the symbiote fused with the power of the miraculous. "It's a new powerup." A part of him wondered if he should tell Viperion how he got it but he wasn't sure since he was still close to Ladybug.
"Well it looks good on you," Viperion said. "Want to patrol together?"
He shrugged. "Sure why not; I need to clear my mind at the moment."
Looking into Viperion's eyes he couldn't help but feel at ease, the snake hero was always calm and never pushed him when he didn't want to talk.
"So how are things with your personal life?" He asked.
Viperion shrugged. "Just practicing some new songs. You?"
He looked down at the symbiote suit. "I've been learning some new skills."
"Sweet. Is it from your kwami?" Viperion asked.
"Not exactly-"
"AHHH!"
They both stopped at the sound of the scream. "It's that way," he said pointing to their right." The scream was so clear to him it was if the person were next to him. He could tell it was a young woman probably mid twenties and they had to act face.
They both quickly ran to the source of the scream, well he led the way since his senses were sharper and that was when he saw them. A group of masked men were cornering a woman trying to get her into a car.
"Lets go Viperion said.
The symbiote reacted to his will as various tendrils knocked the men to the ground. "Shit its Cat Noir!" The men screamed as Viperion kicked them to the ground.
One tried to grab a gun a black tendril knocked it out of his hand and threw him to the ground. The getaway car's engine then turned on. "I got it!"
He leaped into the air and the symbiote flew form his body and grabbed onto the car. Landing on the rooftop the symbiote enforced his arm as he punched through the window and grabbed the surprised driver by the throat and threw him out of the car.
The driver screamed as he tried to rub but a symbiotic tentacle grabbed his leg and threw him to the ground.
"Wow that was cool," Viperion said he threw the assailants to the side.
"Yeah all in a days work," he said as he willed more symbiote to restrain the men. He then turned to face the woman who stared at them in shock. "Are you alright mam?"
The woman nodded her body shaking. "Y-Yeah. Thanks Cat Noir."
"No problem just call the police. Don't worry I'll hold onto them until they get here."
The woman only nodded as she fumbled with her phone and called the police. It didn't take long for them to get to where they were at but when they arrived he withdrew the symbiote allowing the thugs to fall to the ground.
"Uh Cat Noir?" One of the officers asked.
He grinned at the officer. "The one and only. Sorry I kind of wrecked their car."
The officer looked at the car and nodded. "No problem we'll take it from here, thank you."
"All in a day's work." With that he and Viperion left things to the police and headed back to patrolling the city.
"Cat Noir that was cool," Viperion said.
"I know. I've been practicing with them," he said. Looking into Viperion's eyes he couldn't help but feel a bit of camaraderie with him. Yeah he knew he was Luka and frankly he was glad to work with someone so laid back and chill.
They patrolled a bit longer before it was time for them to part ways. "Well see you around," he said.
Viperion nodded. "We should do this again, maybe even hang out afterwards."
"Uh sure. That would be cool." The two high fived before he headed back home. When he arrived in his room the symbiote retreated into his body. "Claws off."
"He seemed nice," Venom said.
He nodded. "Yeah. Luka is cool like that."
"So what are you going to do about the stalker?" Venom asked as he got ready for the night.
"Oh yeah that," he frowned. "I'll see how she is tomorrow. I want to see how oblivious I was to her actions." He knew how deep this went but he feared knowing how many of the details he was missing.
The next morning he got ready for school and everything as usual. Alright Venom if you notice her creeping let me know.
"Got it," Venom said as he exited the limo and approached his school.
Taking a deep breath he looked up at his school. Father would freak out if he knew I had a stalker. He didn't want leave this place, he just wanted his personal space to be respected.
"Hey dude!" Nino came and greeted him with a high five.
He smiled at his friend as they headed to class. "Hey Nino. How are things with Alya?"
"Oh good she and Marinette have been working on the Ladyblog," Nino said as they arrived at their class.
"That's nice," He noticed Marinette as soon as they walked in. She froze and concealed a grin that sent a shiver down his spine.
"Calm down kid I'll protect you!" Venom declared.
Thanks. He carefully sat in front of Marinette his posture rigid. When class started he did his best to remain calm but occasionally he would see it. Marinette would always stare at him with this creepy dopey grin on her face.
If he had been expecting her to apologize he'd be wrong. For the most part Marinette acted as if nothing had happened which infuriated him more.
A part of him hoped this was just some sort of misunderstanding and that Marinette was just an over eccentric fan. Yet fate would prove him wrong. The entire day he would find her strangely close to him and when he tried to move shift up where he usually hung out she was there too.
Once school was done he pulled Nino to the side. "I need to ask you something."
"Of course dude what's wrong?" Nino asked.
He looked to make sure no one was around. "I need to know the truth. Is Marinette stalking me?" The words came out of his mouth harder than he anticipated.
At first Nino laughed awkwardly and seemingly found it hard to meet his gaze. "Wh-What do you mean by that?"
He sighed. "I know you and Marinette have been friends for a while but I need to know the truth. I've seen some things that have made uncomfortable with her and while I am a public figure I still have a right to my personal privacy."
Nino looked to the ground. "I know." His friend looked around anxiously. "Marinette is a nice girl but she can be eccentric but-"
He cut him off. "So I'm a nice guy and deserve a girl's attention because I'm a nice guy?"
"Good point," Nino sighed. His friend looked up at him his gaze a mixture of unease and sorrow. "I have heard her and Alya say some things about them following you and keeping tabs on you…I don't know the extent of it myself but I would say she is stalking you." He said the last part as if it hurt to admit.
"Thank you," he said. "I won't let you choose between me and her but I can't let this continue."
"Wh-What are you going to do?" Nino asked softly.
"Don't worry I won't tell my father," he said. "But I will make sure my personal space is respected." With that he left and sent a message to Nathalie that he needed to talk with her in private.
