The scene opens with the M-Team creeping through the woods, dressed in full hunter's gear, including bright orange vests and comically oversized rifles. Posters of Hawk Moth with big red "HAWK MOTH SEASON" signs are plastered all over the trees.
Ladybug: (whispering) Shhh, be very, very quiet. We're hunting Hawk Moths.
Cat Noir: (also whispering, trying not to giggle) Yeah, and they're wascally—I mean, slippery villains.
They tiptoe forward, keeping low to the ground, while occasionally glancing at the posters and pretending to track Hawk Moth's "footprints" in the dirt. Behind the group, Sky Falcon noticed a "SKY FALCON SEASON" poster much to his shock, causing him to comically look around as his eyes land on the readers. He places his fingers on his lips in a shush fashion before tearing off the poster revealing a Hawk Moth poster in its place. With a proud grin, he quickly catches up to the others.
Scene: Collège Françoise Dupont courtyard.
Marinette was currently sitting at the stairs with Alya and Camilla reading a magazine.
"'Leo: Your heart's gonna roar'," she read and turned the page to see pictures of Adrien on both pages. "Wow, roar!"
The girl's were giggling.
Across the courtyard, Nino was spying on them.
"For your information, my sister's never going to fall in love with a statue," teased Toby as he and Adrien were behind him.
Nino then quickly pulled both his friends.
"Shhh! You know I'm no good with the ladies, especially this one, all of a sudden," said Nino. "I mean, dudes, do I go up to her and crack her a joke? Shoot her a compliment? Invite her to the zoo? Play it serious?"
"Nino, you're way over-thinking this," said Adrian. "'Invite her to the zoo.' You serious?"
"Well, they have this really cool new exhibit there."
"Listen, just be yourself, man," said Adrian, placing a hand over his shoulder.
"That's easy for you to say, Mr Front-of-the-cover-Teen-Model-weekly," Nino pointed out. "I'm not that cool."
"You're cool, bro. Everyone is. Being yourself is one the most useful universal advice," Toby assured him, "Trust us, otherwise, what other reason would you be our best bud? Invite her to the zoo. She'll say 'yes', I promise."
Nino nodded and confidently adjusted his hat before walking over to the girls. But he panicked at the last minute, ran back to Adrien and Toby and hid in the corner. "What if I act like a moronosaurus, or she disses me or thinks I'm lame or—?"
"You know, that's not too far from the truth," muttered Toby.
Adrien shoots him a look before turning his head. "Okay, Nino, We got your back."
Nino picked himself up, and the three of them fist-bump.
Scene: Outside Collège Françoise Dupont.
The girls were exiting the college while the boys hid behind the bannister. Toby signaled Nino as both the latter and Adrien came out of hiding.
Marinette was still holding the magazine, looking at Adrian's picture. "Oh, he's such a—"
"Smartie, hottie, suavísimo, yummy-tastic spellbinder!" said Alya.
"Nah, I'd go for 'Very expensive SH lawsuit' if you keep ogling him like that," Camilla said, taking the magazine from Marinette's hands, not looking where she was going before bumping into Nino.
When she looked, she saw Nino, who was standing as still as a statue, giving her a nervous smile.
Adrien then poked his head out from behind Nino. "Oh, so sorry." He then nudged Nino. "Right, Nino?"
"Sorry," said Nino.
Marinette giggled but then immediately panicked when she saw the magazine on the ground showing pictures of Adrien. She quickly rushed down to pick it up before Adrien saw it, but he had already walked over to pick it up for her. As a result, the two of them bumped their foreheads into one another.
"Sorry," they said in unison, and Marinette quickly pulled the magazine away.
"Sorry about that," said Adrian. "How could we make it up to you? Any ideas… Nino?" Nino just stood there, not answering, "How about we all check out the… zoo today? Word is they've got a new…" He then sat his fingers in front of Nino.
"Uh, they-they got a new panther," said Nino without moving a single muscle.
"Awesome idea, right, girls?" said Alya. "You love animals."
"Of course we do," said Camilla, "Who doesn't?"
"Uh, yeah. I, uh, I'm really into zoonimals. I mean, uh, anizools. I mean zoonimoos. I…" Marinette groaned, getting tongue-tied again.
"Cool. Say, four of us, after school, four o'clock?" Adrian suggested and looked at Nino. "Nino, sound good?" Nino nodded nervously. "Cool, four o'clock then."
"Four! Four o'clock," said Marinette, lovestruck as Adrian dragged Nino away. "Yeah…"
"Uh, Earth to Marinette?" said Alya, waving her hand in front of her. "You do realise the guy you're completely crazy about has just asked you out, right?"
"Yeah…" said Marinette, then immediately panicked when she realised what happened. "Huh, wait, what?! No, not like this! Not here, not today! I haven't washed my hair! I'm not wearing my lucky socks! Fine!" She then quickly held onto Alya and gave her a pleading look. "Help me, Alya! I can't do this alone!"
Alya rolled her eyes and patted her on the head as Camilla stood there feeling sorry for the former.
"You do need a babysitter, don't ya?"
Scene: Seine riverbank.
Adrien, Nino and Toby were sitting on a bench.
"How did you do that, dude?" said Nino, looking at Adrian.
"Like I said: 'Just be yourself'," said Adrian.
"Right, sure. If I could be yourself, myself don't work that way," said Nino.
Adrien sipped a can, "You're being ridiculous. Of course, you can.
"Indeed, being another person is what won't work," said Toby, "And when you're alone with Camilla at the zoo later on—"
Nino turned to him just as Adrien tossed his can in the trash bin. "Whoa, what do you mean alone with Camilla? Oh no, dudes. You're coming with me. You can't leave me alone by myself. Uh-uh."
"I won't be joining," said Toby, "Think of it as a hangout of some kind."
"But you guys are gonna be with me, right?"
Adrien sighed. "No prob, Nino. What are friends for?"
The three of them bumped fists again.
Scene: The Zoo.
Marinette and Camilla were seen at the zoo and had just turned on their earpieces.
"One, two, one, two, testing," said Alya's voice. "D'you read me?"
"Loud and clear."
"We can hear you. But I still don't think I can go through with this," said Marinette.
Alya was currently hiding behind two trees where she could see the two girls. "Course you can. Just be yourself!"
"Remember the last time I did that?" Marinette frowned.
The last time Alya gave Marinette that advice, she had followed Adrian through a door. Only then did she realise that the door led to the boy's bathroom, much to her embarrassment.
"Yeah, I remember that," Camilla said amused, "It went splendidly well."
"Fine, just be yourself and look where you're going." Alya rephrased.
"Oh, where are you, love of my life?" Marinette wondered.
"I'm sure Mr. Sunshine's gonna fall right into your arms," said Camilla, "That is, if you manage to hold a proper conversation."
"Don't worry, I'm gonna do it," said Marinette when she heard footsteps. "Oh there he is." But when they looked over they saw Max and Kim. Upon seeing them, Max waved.
"Hey!" Kim waved.
Marinette sighed. "False alarm." She then waved as the two boys approached her. "Hey, Kim, Max, what are you doing here?"
"We heard the new panther's here. I wanna see who's got the bigger guns!" said Kim, flexing his muscles.
"Do you want to come with us?" Max asked.
"Girls, target at ten o'clock!" Alya warned.
"NO!" Marinette screamed, much to the confusion of both Max and Kim. She then quickly looked at the two of them, looking slightly embarrassed. "Aha, I mean, uh, thanks, but… no thanks. I'm waiting for someone. Uh, you go ahead."
"'Kay, maybe we'll see you later, then," said Kim, and he and Max walked away.
"Yeah, later!" Marinette waved and then turned to look for Adrian. Eventually, they saw Adrien and a nervous Nino waving and smiling nervously in the latter's case at them as they approached.
"Hey, so is there anything you're doing out here?" asked Nino.
"No, we were waiting for you guys," said Camilla.
"Sorry, umm…"
Not too far away, Toby was seen wearing sunglasses as he was observing them and just like the girls, the boys were wearing their own earpieces.
"Simply say 'I assumed one of you would …'," instructed Toby.
"'... take your time in cosmetics, preparing only to be fashionably late'," said Nino, repeating Toby in sync.
"Gee, what gave you that idea, dumbo," scoffed Alya through the earpiece.
"What gave you that idea, dum–oh, I mean, yeah, some of us do, but not to the point of being late," said Marinette, catching herself just in time.
"So, guys, what do we say we go look around," asked Adrien.
"Sounds good to me," said Marinette with the others agreeing.
At the same time, Otis, Alya's father, was feeding the new panther.
"Look what Daddy's brought you," he said, giving the panther some fresh meat. "Only the finest for my baby."
"Whoa! Look at the size of that piece of meat it's eating!" said Kim.
"Typical diet for a feline species requiring the strength to run at speeds in excess of 60 miles per hour," said Max.
"60 miles per hour? Is that all?" Kim scoffed. "I thought Panthers were much faster than that. I bet that I could beat it in a race."
"Impossible. No human being could compete with my panther," said Otis.
"Is that so? What place did your cat come in at the County Athletics Tournament?" Kim asked. "I came in first place."
Otis narrowed his eyes. "You can't possibly compare yourself to my panther, kiddo!"
"No need to. I'm obviously the better-looking one."
The panther growled, clearly not liking Kim's comment.
"Hey, kitty, kitty. How about a little race with me, huh? Last one's a rotten egg!" Kim mocked.
"Let's see," said Max as he pulled out his phone to do some calculations. "With a six feet-per-second win behind you and 45 degrees to the north-east… I don't think you'd be a rotten egg. You'd be lunch."
"Your friends are right, kiddo," said Otis. "Now, please leave. She needs peace and quiet while she eats. You're stressing her out."
"Awww, stressed out, are we, Miss Panthie? You're talking about a wild animal, dude," Kim mocked.
The panther growled even more fiercely than before.
"Leave now!" Otis demanded. "Or I'll have you kicked out of the zoo immediately!"
"Come on, Max," said Kim. "Let's leave that poor widdle kitty alone with its angwy babysitter! Haha, ha!"
Kim walked away laughing, and Max quickly ran after him, leaving a very angry panther and Otis behind.
Scene: Hawk Moth's lair.
Hawk Moth could sense Otis' rage and opened the windows.
"Unleashing the animal in each of us. I like that idea," he said and then turned a butterfly into an Akuma. "Go ahead, my little evil Akuma, fly off and take control of that zookeeper!"
Meanwhile, the four teens were seeing the giraffes.
"So, what do you think of the tallest animals?" Camilla asked Nino.
Toby brought out some cards and was shuffling through the following responses: 'Who's Them?', 'He's Forty', 'Idiot', 'I No Dey Speak English', 'When's Dinner', 'Uhhh…', 'Tell Pac Man Story', 'No, You Are', 'Pass Out', 'It Was Nothing', 'I Gotta Go To The Bathroom', et cetera. After a few seconds, he pocketed them and once again spoke to Nino through his earpiece.
"Repeat after me. They're very cute, but actually, I wanted to take this opportunity to…"
"Nino then turned to Camilla, "They're very cute, but actually, I wanted to take this opportunity to…"
"Tell you that I love you, Camilla." Toby had to furrow his eyebrows, rethinking that statement which sounded wrong to him.
"Tell you that I—" Nino then suddenly felt butterflies in his stomach as he got tongue-tied. "Gahhh… I… Love a girl that I don't know how to tell her!"
Adrien who was watching the brief exchange facepalmed.
"Well, that's no problem," said Camilla.
"Yeah, we can help you with that," offered Marinette.
"Okay, Camilla, I get it. But Marinette, giving expert advice on how to tell someone you love them? Can't wait to hear this one!" said Alya on her earpiece.
"'Can't wait to hear this one…'" said Marinette, mimicking Alya's voice mockingly.
"What?" Adrien frowned.
Marinette quickly turned to him. "Uhh… Can't wait to hear… about this lucky girl!"
"Now I'm intrigued. Do tell me the name of the lovely lady who ensnared your heart," said Camilla.
"Tell her it's you!" said Toby through the earpiece.
"It's youuu…uur best friend Alya!" said Nino, getting tongue-tied once again.
Adrien, Alya, Toby, Camilla and Marinette stared at him in bewilderment. "What?!"
"Alya? Awesome!" Marinette cheered.
"No! No! It's not awesome!" said Alya.
"I can fix up a date for you guys!" Marinette offered as Adrien facepalmed.
"Say what?!" Alya stared, horrified. "Seriously?! You didn't even ask me first!" Uh-uh! Nino's like… a brother to me! Bleugh! No! End of discussion!"
"He's gonna be so sad if you don't," Camilla whispered.
"Did you say something?" Nino frowned.
"I said… It'd be so sad if you didn't tell her!" said Camilla quickly.
Alya just groaned angrily from her hiding place.
At that point, Hawk Moth's akuma had reached Otis and infected his bracelet.
"Animan, I am Hawk Moth," said Hawk Moth telepathically. "I offer you the power to seek revenge for a small price."
"Yes, Hawk Moth," said Otis.
He then began to transform into a panther, but still wearing the bracelet around his front paw, and his eyes were bright purple.
Meanwhile, Kim was now harassing several gorillas when Animan approached him, and Max and behind him were several animals.
"Hey, kiddo. Still up for a little race?" Animan asked. "Go ahead; I'll give you a head start." Kim and Max then started to run away, and Animan turned to the animals. "He's mine."
Back with the teens, Alya tried to talk Marinette out of arranging a date between her and Nino.
"This whole date thing with Nino is not happening! Ugh!" she yelled.
They were then interrupted when Kim and Max ran past them.
"HE'S COMING!" Kim yelled.
"Get outta here!" Max yelled.
They then saw emerging around the corner was Animan, who ran past them. Then, coming around the corner, all zoo animals are going on a rampage.
"I really hate to cut our trip short, but I think we better go before it becomes feeding time." Adrien said as they all ran off.
Marinette ran and quickly hid, and when Adrian saw the animals running, he quickly hid behind the bushes, pulling Toby with him.
Once the animals ran by, Tikki shot out of Marinette's purse.
"Why didn't both of you listen to Alya?" Tikki asked.
"What? You expected us to kick Nino's heart in the ass by telling him the cold facts?" said Camilla defensively.
"We'll deal with that later. It's time to transform!" said Marinette as she got to her feet. "Tikki! Spots on! Ha!"
Marinette then began to transform into Ladybug.
"Luupa! It's Full Moon!"
Camilla then began to transform into Gray Wolf.
"We've gotta do something," said Adrian.
Plagg was seen sitting on top of Adrien's head and merely sighed.
Adrian then held out his ring. "Plagg! Claws out!"
He then began to transform into Cat Noir.
"Breeze! Take Flight!"
Toby then began to transform into Sky Falcon.
Meanwhile, Kim had gotten separated from Max and was still running for his life, but it wasn't long until Animan overtook him.
"You lost, kiddo," Animan growled. "What do you think of panthers now?"
"That… panthers are the best?" Kim whimpered as he slowly backed away.
"And what do you think about ladybugs?" Ladybug asked, landing in front of Kim alongside Gray Wolf.
"Or Arctic wolves?" said Gray Wolf.
Sky Falcon suddenly landed as he retracted his wings, "Have you forgotten about Peregrine falcons?"
Cat Noir then appeared as well. "And another black cat?"
"I think I'm higher on the food chain," said Animan.
"Animan, take their jewels!" Hawk Moth ordered. "Their Miraculouses! Bring them to me!"
Ladybug turned to Kim. "If you value your life, get out of here! Now!"
Kim didn't need to be told twice and quickly ran away. Animan attempted to chase after him, but Ladybug was able to wrap her yo-yo around him, trapping him in place.
"Cat Noir, his bracelet," said Ladybug. "The Akuma must be inside the charm!"
"You hold him; I grab the bracelet," said Cat Noir.
But just as they were about to walk over, they saw a number of zoo animals that had appeared around Animan.
"Attack!" Animan ordered.
Realizing they were about to be stampeded, they ran for it.
"Holy testicle Tuesday!" exclaimed Sky Falcon.
"We need to put them all back in their cages!" Cat Noir yelled.
"Oh, really? I'm sure they'll do it without putting up a fight!" Ladybug yelled sarcastically.
Then suddenly, they saw, running past them were Alya and Nino as a gorilla was chasing them. The three superheroes jumped over the gorillas, knowing they now had another problem.
"I think we'd better split up!" said Ladybug.
"Good call!" said Gray Wolf.
Ladybug then immediately ran in the direction of Nino and Alya, who the gorilla was still chasing. She quickly grabbed the two of them by the back of their shirts and pulled them to safety.
"Hey!" they said in unison.
"What the…?" said Nino as Ladybug dragged them into the empty gorilla habitat.
"Stay put, and you'll be safe," she said, locking them in the habitat.
Nino looked at Alya awkwardly. "Uhh… Hey, what's up?"
Alya could only let out a disgusted groan.
At the same time, Cat Noir was still running away from the animals and ran up a tree.
"There are too many of them!" said Ladybug as she landed on one of the nearby habitats. "We can't capture them all."
"Well, what are we gonna do then?" Cat Noir asked.
"Back to Plan A," said Ladybug. "If we can destroy his bracelet, I can capture the Akuma. Everything will go back to normal!"
"Sounds like a good idea!" Cat Noir smiled.
Gray Wolf managed to gain a headstart and ran to the gate to cut the animals off from escaping. Upon reaching there, she turned to the stampede while taking a deep breath.
"Alpha's Howl!" She emitted a loud sonic wave that disoriented the stampede while sending them back tumbling in a heap.
"Yo, Sky. How's it going on your end?" she said through her earpiece.
Sky, meanwhile, had swooped in to save two civilians from being trampled "Oh, you know, just peachy. The zoo's all clear."
When the M-Team reached the place where they had caught Animan, he was gone. All that was left was Ladybug's yo-yo, which hadn't been broken.
"But… it's never been broken before!" Ladybug frowned.
"He didn't actually break it," said Cat Noir as he squatted down the hand Ladybug back her yo-yo.
"Then how did Bagheera escape without opposable thumbs?" Sky Falcon frowned.
"I don't know, but we better find Kim."
Ladybug then extended her yo-yo, pulling her to the nearest rooftop, and Gray Wolf did the same with her bow while Sky Falcon casually unfurled his wings and took off to the sky and Cat Noir jumped into the air and spun his staff like a helicopter. Once they landed on a rooftop, they looked around until Cat Noir spotted Kim on a bridge overlooking the river.
"Over there!" he pointed.
Sure enough, they could see Animan approaching Kim.
"It's down to just the two of us, Kiddo," said Animan as Kim backed away into he tripped. "And then there was one."
He pounced upon Kim, but Ladybug swung her yo-yo, wrapping it around one of his legs and pulling him back.
"You're not getting away this time!" Ladybug yelled.
Cat Noir then landed next to Kim. "Quick, go and hide in the first building you come to."
Kim ran off, unaware that Cat Noir had placed a tracker on him.
"You'll never get me!" Animan roared.
Suddenly, he transformed into an eagle, freed him from Ladybug's yo-yo, and flew away. They quickly rushed towards the edge of the bridge and watched as he flew away.
"Huh, so that's how he escaped," said Gray Wolf.
"Where's Kim?" Ladybug asked. Cat Noir smiled and pulled out his car phone, showing them he had placed a tracker on him. Ladybug smiled and scratched beneath his chin. "Good job, kitty."
Scene: Bakery.
Kim was utterly exhausted when he entered Marinette's place.
"Help! Rescue me! Please!" he pleaded.
"It's okay, son," said Tom gently as he carried him inside. "Come this way. Easy."
The M-Team followed the tracker all the way over to the bakery.
"He's safe inside this building," said Cat Noir. "Panthers can't open doors, so he won't get inside."
"Panthers can't, but what if he morphs into a smaller animal?" Ladybug pointed out. "Like a mouse, or…"
"An ape?" said Sky Falcon, "At least those with brains."
"Sky, you're not helping," said Gray Wolf.
"Right," Cat Noir nodded. "But we do have an advantage over him. We know exactly where to find his prey."
"Animan will sniff him out sooner or later, but it's bought us a bit of time to plan our next move," said Ladybug.
They looked down to see a man fixing his car when a bear began using it as a scratching post, and upon seeing it, he ran away.
"We have to stop Animan before Paris turns into a Jungle," said Cat Noir.
"I'm gonna need to recharge," said Gray Wolf, "I'll catch up with you guys."
With that, she made her way to the balcony into Marinette's room.
"Follow me," said Ladybug as they jumped down to the front door and entered the bakery. "Hi, Mo… am."
Her mother gasped upon seeing her. "Oh, you're…" Ladybug was afraid that she had seen past her disguise. "…you're, you're Ladybug!"
"Yeah, exactly," said Ladybug relieved.
They made their way into the living room, and when he turned on the TV, they saw a TVi Newsflash.
"We interrupt this broadcast with a special report," said Nadja. "Animals are invading Paris. The CTU and the police work harder trying to contain the situation. For your safety, stay in your home and remain calm. Mayor Bourgeois will address the—"
Sabine then turned off the TV.
"You'll be safe here," Ladybug said to Kim, looking at his wristband. "Can I borrow this?"
"Sure," he said, handing it to her.
Cat Noir was looking at a family photo of Marinette and her parents.
"Come on, Cat Noir," said Ladybug and then looked at Kim and her parents. "Make sure you lock all the doors and windows."
"And don't come out yet until everything is resolved," said Sky.
"We'll take care of the rest," Cat Noir assured them. "You won't be in danger.
Ladybug then looked at her father. "Thanks, Da—I mean, sir, for all your help."
Her father smiled. "You're welcome, Ladybug."
The M-Team began making their way downstairs, and Ladybug put Kim's wristband on the railing.
"Et voila," she smiled.
They then entered the bakery, where they could see animals rampaging. Then, strangely, Ladybug sprays an air freshener on the boys.
"Whoa! What's that stuff?" Cat Noir asked.
"Air freshener!" she said. "It'll cover up our scent so he can't smell us."
"Alright then." said Sky.
Cat Noir sniffed himself. "I've always wanted to smell like… Ocean summer breeze?" He then noticed a small box and picked it up. "Couldn't we capture him inside something like this?"
"Only if he transforms into something bigger," said Ladybug and then saw a bus outside. "Would that make a big enough cage?"
"Definitely," Cat Noir nodded. "But how could we get him inside there?"
"Simple, one of us has to be the Schrödinger's cat in this instance," said Sky Falcon with a grin.
Cat Noir gave Sky Falcon an unimpressed look before he then heard Animan coming. "He's coming."
Animan flew across the city and soon began to circle the bakery while the three hid behind the door.
"It's working. He's sniffing out Kim!" said Ladybug. She then looked down and saw Cat Noir sniffing her, and upon seeing her unamused look, he merely chuckled.
"Seriously, bro?" said Sky.
"Follow me." Ladybug said as they made their move.
Animan then flew towards the direction of the bakery, transformed into a ladybug, and flew through the keyhole. However, Ladybug trapped him inside the box when he reached the bannister.
"A ladybug? Smart choice," she said.
However, Animan then transformed back into a panther and began chasing them through the bakery with Sky Falcon goat-screaming his head off. They burst through the door, quickly rushing outside.
"Couldn't he choose a slower-moving animal?!" Cat Noir yelled with the panther hot on their heels.
While Ladybug and Cat Noir quickly jumped into the bus, Sky Falcon instead backflipped over the lunging panther that entered the bus as the former landed and closed the doors.
Inside the bus, they were hiding behind the seats where they surprisingly saw Gray Wolf hiding as well as the three of them could see Animan slowly making his way down the aisle, looking for them.
They looked at one another, nodded, and quickly jumped over Animan, surprising him.
Cat Noir and Gray Wolf drew out their weapons and began to fend off Animan as Ladybug rushed towards the controls.
"Where's the button for the doors?" she said, pressing all the buttons to no avail. "Of course, nothing works! No keys!"
Animan then morphed into a bear, knocking Cat Noir's staff out of his hands while he wasn't looking and knocking him out.
"Take his Miraculous… The ring! The ring!" Hawk Moth yelled.
Moving in, Gray smacked Animan across the face with her bow, giving Cat Noir the opportunity to retrieve his staff and Ladybug quickly tossed her yo-yo around, wrapping it around him only for the shapeshifter to morph into a ladybug.
Cat Noir then quickly tossed his staff, which missed, bounced off the back window and missed him again. Animan then morphed back into a panther, but something was different this time as he looked exhausted.
"All these transformations seem to be tiring him out," Ladybug theorised.
"Then just let him wear himself out. It'll make it easier to capture his akuma," said Cat Noir and then quickly rushed towards the bus controls. "Cataclysm!"
With his hand charged with destructive energy, he placed it upon the buttons short-circuiting the bus controls. The bus's lights and alarms then flickered, and the doors opened and closed. The M-Team managed to jump through the doors, joining Sky Falcon outside, but Animan failed to do the same as all the electronics on the bus short-circuited, locking him inside.
"It's not exactly a cage, but… it'll do," said Ladybug.
They then watched as Animan morphed into a bear.
"I don't think he can bear to listen to that noise," Cat Noir joked.
"Don't become too much to bear, chaton," Ladybug retorted.
"Let us all bear one another's burdens," quoted Sky Falcon.
"Enough with the puns already," chided Gray Wolf, "Now we wait."
Animan then morphed into a ladybug and tried to fly through the cracks in the door. When that didn't work, he morphed into a gorilla, trying to bash the doors down with force.
"Ready to free the Akuma?" Cat Noir asked.
Animan started to look tired and morphed into a panther again, crashing to the floor.
"It's working!" Ladybug themed.
However, Animan then morphed into a tyrannosaurus, and with his bigger size and strength, he could bust through the roof of the bus and then began to climb out.
"DAMN!"
"What the fungus?!"
"Hey! Since when do extinct animals count?" Cat Noir demanded.
"The T-Rex might have disappeared a long time ago, but technically it's… still an animal," Ladybug pointed out.
"Well I know of some other animals that will soon be extinct: the cat, the falcon, the wolf, and the ladybug!" Cat Noir said as they made a run for it with Animan following.
The M-Team soon stopped at a building but quickly jumped out of the way to avoid Animan's giant jaw, which smashed right through a nearby café. Then somersaulted over some cars and hid behind one of them.
Ladybug then got to her feet and tossed her yo-yo into the air. "Lucky Charm!" Then, suddenly appearing out of thin air was a red car jack with black spots. "Huh? A car jack?"
"Too bad Animan doesn't have any flat tires," said Cat Noir.
"Somehow, I don't think that's what it's for," said Gray Wolf.
"Look how small his front arms are," Ladybug noted.
"So he won't be great at basketball. What are you getting at?" Cat Noir asked.
"You climb on top of him where he can't swipe at you, and while you're distracting him, Sky and Gray come in and floor him!"
"Sounds like a good plan," said Cat Noir, leaning over towards her. "I can be very distracting."
Ladybug had to push him away.
Then they heard the sound of a crashed car behind them as Animan had found them and crushed the car beneath his foot. Quickly, the M-Team ran away, and he soon began chasing them.
"It's going to be tight!" Cat Noir yelled.
"Okay, M-Team! Let's do this!"
The team separated just as Animan tried to bite them as Cat Noir, who had jumped, landed on his back. Animan certainly was unable to reach them, thanks to his small arms, but he did attempt to shake them off ferociously.
"Here comes the kryptonite," said Sky Falcon as he ran in front of the dinosaur, "SkyDive!"
His wings flared, propelling him with enough speed to deal a very powerful uppercut, sending the Cretaceous reptile flying before crashing down, but of course, not before Cat Noir had jumped to safety.
As Animan was on the ground, Gray Wolf fired multiple arrows, pinning the legs to the ground.
"Well, that's weird; we didn't have to use this," said Ladybug, looking at the jack. "What does it mean?"
"Well, I guess that only means we rock as a team," said Cat Noir as he made his way to Animan to get the bracelet.
Ladybug looked at the jack and then looked at Cat Noir, and her eyes widened. "Cat Noir, wait!"
Cat Noir was just about to reach the bracelet, but he would have been chopped in half by Animan's massive teeth if Sky Falcon hadn't pulled him away in time.
Ladybug then got an idea. "I know what to do."
Then, before they could stop her, Ladybug charged toward Animan.
"Ladybug!" the M-Team yelled.
"Enjoy your meal!" she yelled.
Then, to their utter astonishment, Ladybug jumped into his mouth, allowing him to eat her whole.
"No!" Cat Noir yelled, spinning his staff and glaring at Animan angrily. "You're so gonna pay for this!"
However, before he could attack, Animan's eyes widened, and his jaw slowly began to open. It turned out that it was Ladybug using the car jack to jack up Animan's jaw, making it impossible for him to close it. She then stepped out, much to the relief of Cat Noir, and then she went over to Animan's bracelet and smashed it in her hands. The moment she did, the Akuma flew out of it and began to flutter away.
"No more evildoing for you, little Akuma. Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug yelled, spinning her yo-yo around and catching the Akuma. "Gotcha!" She then released the now purified butterfly and watched as it fluttered away. "Bye-bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!"
Ladybug then tossed her Lucky Charm into the air, and the magical ladybugs began to repair all the damage and returned all the animals back into their habitats and the zoo. Then Animan turned back into Otis, who looked around confused.
Ladybug then lifted her fist over to Cat Noir, Sky Falcon and Gray Wolf. "Pound it?" she said
Cat Noir instead hugged her tightly. "Ladybug! That was a wild ride."
"Yeah, don't ever try that again," said Gray Wolf.
They then heard their Miraculous beeping.
"Whoops! Better take my whiskers and run!" said Cat Noir who then somersaulted towards the nearest building and ran off.
"Same here. Peace out," said Sky Falcon who unfurled his wings and took to the skies.
"Oh! What happened to me?" Otis asked, confused.
Ladybug and Gray Wolf then approached. "Everything's okay. But you should get back to the zoo and check on your animals."
"You ruined everything, M-Team," Hawk Moth groaned as he closed his window. "This is not how it was supposed to end! But I promise you all, one day, it will be me at the top of the food chain! And you'll be nothing!"
Scene: Bakery.
Ladybug had returned to her room with Gray Wolf following as both girls detransformed and were exhausted.
However, Marinette had no time to rest as her phone rang, and when she looked at it, she saw that it was Alya who was calling.
"Oh no!" Marinette panicked. "I forgot all about Alya! She's gonna be so mad at me!"
"Mad? Nah, not really," said Luupa, "The most likely thing she'll do is keep ranting about being in a cage."
"And imagine if she knew you're the Ladybug who shut her up in a cage with Nino!" said Tikki.
"Yeah, and she'd actually kill us both," said Marinette.
"Wait, who's us?" said Camilla as they both began to make their way outside.
"You were also in it," shot back Marinette who was typing a text message.
"Mind you, I wasn't the one who locked them up!"
"But you also wanted to set up a date between them."
"We weren't thinking."
They just turned around the corner and saw standing at the entrance to the bakery was Alya. Upon seeing one another, they laughed and put the phones away. Seconds later, Nino exited the bakery with a bag of cookies and gave one of them to Alya.
"Thanks, Nino," said Alya.
Nino then held out a cookie for Marinette. "Do you want one, Marinette?"
Marinette looked at the two of them confused and then turned to Alya. "Uhh… What's he doing here?"
"Ladybug locked us up together in the same cage all afternoon," Alya explained.
"It turns out we have lots in common," said Nino. "You know, Cami, the girl I've got a crush on?"
"Yes?"
"Actually, it was you."
Camilla blinked, "Huh?"
"Or that's what I thought. But after chilling with Alya that whole time…"
"Yeah, well… we don't have to give them all the details, do we?" Alya interrupted.
"Oh, yeah, my bad," said Nino who then turned to Marinette, "Alya tells me you've been dating some dude," said Nino.
"Huh?!" Marinette panicked.
"He doesn't know who it is! Pinky swear!" said Alya quickly. "Cause… cause I don't go and make decisions for other people!"
"But if you want, I could totally make it happen!" Nino offered until Alya stepped on his foot. "That is if I knew the dude!"
"Nino!"
