Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 13

Sam walked her to her office and said, "here you go sweetheart, now you have a good day and I'll see you later", Penelope said, "I'll miss you", Sam said, "I'll miss you more", he then pulled her into his arms and crashed his lips against hers, Penelope wrapped her arms around him and moaned against his lips as their tongues battled for control.

When they pulled apart he said, "now you be a good girl and keep the contact with Derek to a minimum, got it?", she said, "you got it", Sam then turned to walked out of her office but said, "I love you Penelope", she smiled happily and said, "I love you too Sam, I love you too", she then watched as he walked out of her lair, leaving her to get re-acquaintedwith her office again.

As she looked around the room everything felt familiar and oh so her but as she sat down she found herself missing Sam, then a flash of Derek's face appeared in her mind, she felt sad, she felt love, love for Derek but no, wait, she loved Sam didn't she?", her hand slid down to the baby bump and said, "yes, yes, I love, I love Sam".

Meanwhile back in the roundtable room Reid said, "Sam is a piece of work, did you see how he stressed that Penelope was his and that Derek would need to stay away and the fact that she backed him up 100% makes it clear that she's under his control but how?", JJ said, "we'll find out, we're going to see if she wants to go to lunch with us, if she will go we will see what we can find out and fill you in later".

Derek watched as the girls walked out of the room, he said, "this can't be happening, she can't be with Sam, she loves me, she loves me", Hotch said, "we know that Morgan but somehow Sam has managed to turn her against you but how and why come back now, why now after being gone almost 5 months?", Derek said, "I wish I knew man, I wish I knew".

Meanwhile Penelope was sitting at her computer smiling, she felt happy now, oh so happy being back with her friends, she was pulled from her thoughts when she heard a knock at the door, she said, "come in", the door opened to reveal JJ and Emily standing there and JJ said, "can we come in?", she said, "yes, yes come in, come in".

They walked in and Emily said, "we wanted to see if you would join us for lunch, we've got a lot to catch up on?", she said, "yeah, sure, lunch sounds nice", JJ said, "we've missed you Garcie", she said, "and I've missed you both to, so so much", Emily said, "if you missed us so much, why didn't you contact us, you didn't call any of us, not once over the past 5 months".

Penelope said, "we'll discuss this at lunch okay, we've got sooooooo much to get caught up on", the girls nodded their heads yes and said, "see ya later", Penelope said, "later girlies, later", she waved at the girls as they stepped out into the hall and headed up the corridor.

When they were out of hearing range JJ said, "what's up with her, we will discuss it over, that's not something that Garcie would say", Em said, "I agree, that's something that Sam would say, something's up, something's definitely up and we've got to get to the bottom of it and the sooner the better".

The rest of the afternoon flew by and soon Penelope, JJ and Emily were sitting down in their favorite booth at the diner up the street from the FBI building and once they sat down and started talking Penelope smiled and said, :"ohhhh how I've missed you, I've missed everybody so much".

Emily said, "even Derek?", she said, "Agent Morgan, no, no I didn't miss him at all", JJ said, "come on Garcie, what happened, why didn't you contact any of us over the past 5 months, we thought you'd been kidnapped or was maybe even dead".

She said, "I'm so sorry but Sam, he swept me off of my feet and we've been traveling and well doing other things" as one of her hands slid down to her baby bump, JJ said, "you broke our hearts Garcia, you are like a sister to me, to us and you are Henry and Jacks Godmother".

Penelope said, "I know and I'm sorry but I honestly don't know why I didn't contact anybody", Emily said, "you were head over heels in love with Derek and he was going to propose to you when we got back from the case we were on when you disappeared and now, now that you're back it's like he doesn't exist".

Penelope said, "that's because I'm with Sam and we're happy, we're going to have a baby", JJ said, "are you sure that baby is Sams, after all you were with Derek too", Penelope said, "don't say that, of course this baby belongs to Sam", Emily said, "how far along are you?", Penelope said, "14 weeks".

JJ said, "you've been gone for over 4 1/2 months so you could have been pregnant with Morgans child when you left", she shook her head and said, "no, no, no, this baby belongs to Sam, we're happy, we're happy", Emily said, "calm down PG, calm down, getting so excited isn't good for you or the baby".

Penelope said, "I I I think I need to head back to my lair", JJ said, "just stay and eat and we promise that we won't discuss Derek anymore", she blew out a deep breath and said, "okay, but only if you don't talk about Agent Morgan anymore", JJ and Emily looked at each other and then at Penelope as they smiled and nodded their heads yes.

For the next half an hour or so they laughed, ate and talked just like they did before everything happened, just like they did before she disappeared and when they got back to the BAU they headed in their separate directions and continued working but JJ sent a group text to the team, everybody but Penelope setting up a time to meet at Fran and Daves so that they could discuss what the girls found out at lunch.
