Moving as stealthy as he could through Kirigakure, Orochimaru observed with some interest his surroundings. It was quite a troublesome experience, even with the many, many advantages that were provided to him by the spies Konoha had planted on the village.

Sure, those spies failed to catch wind of the plans from the Mizukage besides that they were planning to strike someone. Truly, the Mizukage was very qualified when it came to these sneaky matters and kept the information over the arrangements and everything else extremely close to his chest.

Hell, from what Orochimaru gathered from the few unlucky mist shinobi who got on his hands, they were all out on missions previously to assassinate one target or another before they were allowed to even obtain their new mission and what they should do. It was a brilliant scheme that put even the plans and actions of Danzo, the 'darkness of Konoha', to shame by comparison.

Shame the Third Mizukage had underestimated how strong the third Hokage was and paid for it in the form of his corpse now being back in Konoha for examination. Orochimaru licked his lips at the thought of studying the corpse of someone with such a potent elemental kekkei genkai and what he could find out from it.

Regardless of this or that, Orochimaru had a mission to fulfill. Kiri had provoked Konoha far too much with the stunt and they nearly managed to assassinate the Hokage, acting without provocation together with Suna and now they would pay the price.

Reaching a small cottage on the outskirts of the village, Orochimaru looked at the boy sleeping there. After executing the old man who lived there for good measure Orochimaru observed the thin boy with some contempt. Sure, he was still just a child of four, but to not even wake up when Orochimaru was so close to him was really contemptible.

And yet, it suited Orochimaru's plans well enough as he put a slightly thick pill on the boy's mouth. It was something Orochimaru had developed a while back after what happened on a similar operation on Kumo and how he was nearly caught and crushed by the Eight Tails Bijuu at the time.

The pill had two 'stages'. The first and most external layer of the pill was an extremely potent sleeping drug that could knock out even a trained jinchuuriki for ten minutes at a minimum, for a kid it should make it last even longer. As for the other drug, it would stimulate the bijuu released from the inside of the body, making the beast go on a rampage while lowering the jinchuuriki's own mental conditions to the absolute minimum. With how weak the seals of other villages are compared to those in Konoha, it was all but decided what would happen next following it.

Smiling as he sees that the pill was swallowed, Orochimaru waited a few moments for the pill's effects to take hold before he lifted the kid and started on his way once more.

Of course, before leaving he took out the two summon scrolls and released the clones of Setsuna for this operation, the two knowing well what to do as both also received scrolls from Orochimaru to be used during their operation as needed.

In the end, it took just about five minutes or so before he was near the center of Kiri, a not overly populated place but one close enough to the city center.

Leaving the kid inside a dumpster and covered in some trash so as to not let anyone see him, Orochimare began to move once more but this time to a place a distance away as he would wait for what was to come next.

Hiding while waiting inside a regular restaurant while using a henge, Orochimaru requested some grilled fish and takoyaki, both typical foods from the country of water. Standing in a place like this, it was easy to be ignored as he had no clear sign of chakra and Kiri shinobi, while incredible trackers, sucked when it comes to chakra sensing.

As such, as long as Orochimaru controlled his chakra well enough it was so very easy to slip by their detection, for a time at least. Staying would be troublesome as Kiri was extremely paranoid, but he just had to wait a very short while before-

"RRROOOAAARRR!" A gigantic roar broke through the streets as a several meters high slug with six tails emerged at a short distance away. The shinobi and civilians went crazy as the beast started its rampage through the center of town and rained acid in all directions as it tried to kill and destroy everything it could.

Orochimaru accompanied the civilians and merchants in being 'headless chickens' as the shinobi from Kiri started to react.

And yet, their numbers were nothing impressive considering that Kiri's numbers were not big and the bulk of their forces had gone on their ships to start an attack on the land of fire. Orochimaru smirked as he saw the kiri shinobi desperately start to try and hold down or kill the six tails bijuu in its rampage, their focus concentrated on that and only that.

Truly, releasing it right in the center of town like that maximized the damage splendidly and the bijuu did not disappoint. Sure, it was nowhere as strong as the nine tails, but its acid properties were nothing to scoff at in a group combat like this and the chaos it was causing was terrifying.

Regardless, Orochimaru went for his secondary objective. He knew that Setsuna had two clones working right now as well, one aiming to impede and disturb any high ranking Jonin who could slow down or directly stop the bijuu by using his genjutsu. With this, the damage to Kiri would be maximized as the few shinobi left in the village who could do something about the Bijuu would simply be unable to act.

As for the second clone, it should already have invaded the ninja academy by now. It would then capture as many kekkei genkai students there as well as see to capturing any genin or regular chunin with said powers it could find. With his abilities and his gentle fist technique and genjutsu, it would be incredibly simple to capture them. For transport later, Orochimaru had a species of snake from the Ryuchi cave that had an extremely spacious stomach in standby with the scrolls given to the two clones being able to summon them out as needed. The snakes would then 'devour' the captured shinobi from kiri and regurgitate them out when they were back in Konoha.

As for what Orochimaru would be doing, he was now sneaking into the most dangerous place at the moment despite the fact most shinobi of the village would not be anywhere near it.

The Mizukage Tower.

Invading it took a short while as the security really was impressive even with almost every single ninja that would normally be stationed here being elsewhere. Still, even if the building's passive security was high it just delayed the inevitable and, about twenty minutes later, Orochimaru smiled as he got a hold of what he wanted. The summoning scrolls from the village, the book of seals of Kirigakure, containing the jutsu research from the previous Mizukages and the accumulated knowledge of the village, the scroll for three of the seven ninja swords, as well as a pot where the three tails bijuu was sealed into.

Sure, despite the weakened security it still took Orochimaru a longer time than he would have chosen to get them all, and he had to kill around twenty anbu from Kiri that were still stationed firmly inside, but it was all worth it for those rewards.

Summoning out another of the snakes, he let it swallow all the items before he left the Mizukage tower. Getting out of the door, he was not shocked by the fact that the place was surrounded by about thirty shinobi from Kiri even as many were doing their best, and failing, to stop the rampage of the six tails.

"So it was you, Orochimaru of the Sanin! Prepare to die!" An old man, one of the village's elders who was connected to the seals on those items as a last line of defense in case someone were to steal them.

"Kukuku, I am sorry but I am not interested in playing with you all right now." Orochimaru said with a creepy tone as he did some hand signs and, from his mouth, a large smoke cloud was released.

"Quick, use the hiding in the mist technique to counter." The elder shouted as, despite not being sure what the smoke was, it would be better to counter a gas with another gas.

Unfortunately, this was the wrong move.

"Fire style: Ash Pile Murder." With that, and a clack of his teeth, the smoke Orochimaru released ignited fiercely and several of the ninjas around were caught by the explosion.

It was not truly enough to kill them, but the explosion was enough of a distraction to where none could see him for a few moments. That was more than enough time for Orochimaru to run away and, when the smoke cleared, he was already gone.

By the time that the Six Tails was dealt with the village had suffered catastrophic damage. Over 40% of all buildings and structures were beyond saving, there were over 12 thousand dead with about seven hundred of those being shinobi of genin and chunin rank and the rest being the families of said shinobi as well as many civilians and merchants. Whatever few merchants that survived would soon leave, not wanting to stay there anymore after what happened, so that was yet another harsh blow to the village.

And yet, the worse was the kidnapping of 40 different individuals who possess unique bloodlines or physiques as well as the loss of their second bijuu and their seal scroll that had all the techniques developed by them. And if ALL that was not enough, even the summoning scroll for the seven swords was stolen, meaning that if their current user dies then the sword could easily be summoned away and taken permanently by Konoha.

The news of what had transpired shocked the whole of the elemental nations as, with this one strike, Kiri turned into the laughing stock of the shinobi world as well as making Konoha feel even more terrifying. Especially since now it had one more bijuu on their hands, a fact that sparked greed in the eyes of Kumo, Iwa, and especially Suna who would desperately want the three tails bijuu who could so easily produce large amounts of water, an extremely precious resource for the kingdom of wind.

As for Setsuna, his actions were not truly noticed directly as few to none had managed to see him, his distance from combat and his Byakugan allowing him to see in all directions making it all too easy to investigate and escape the notice of others when he wanted to while still being able to act.

A saving grace in Setsuna's opinion after the return to the village later, even if he could make it without the Hokage's approving and expectant expression. He wanted to stay on the rear, far from conflict, so he honestly had no desire to be noticed by the higher ups in any excessive way right now.

And yet-

Setsuna's P.O.V.

I walked to the Hokage tower after having been called over just one week after the operation in Kiri. That mission was, on a personal note, a fiasco considering I failed to find Mei during it. I always liked her character and I would rather take her away from Kiri before the chaos I helped cause there makes the place full on collapse as was expected.

At least the mission got me and Orochimaru-sensei plenty of test subjects for the experiments to figure out elemental bloodlines… or so I would like to claim. As it turns out, those young ones who were already shinobi in training that were captured were taken away by Danzo to be trained in the ROOT as well as, in the future, work as stallions and broodmares to produce new clans for Konoha. The remaining ones, those too young to have been in ninja school or already genins, were all taken under the custody of the Sarutobi clan for their 'protection', while most likely being paired later with Sarutobi clansmen to create subsidiary clans of the Sarutobi with special bloodlines.

I had to complain a lot to get just one under the supervision of the Senjuu clan and, by extension, me since I live there.

Little Kimimaru is right now enjoying his time being breastfeed together with baby Naruko. Thinking back on that cute little red haired blue eyed baby who would smile whenever I came close and ask to be carried, I can't help but be thankful that the birth happened without issue while I was away. I have been with the baby for just a little while since I was busy studying some of the jutsus from Kiri that Orochimaru sensei copied before giving the original scrolls to Konoha. Still, I can say with confident that, if someone tried to mess things up with that cute baby I'd fucking eradicate the country of the one responsible to the last living organism!

This is not a threat, it is just a mere fact of life.

Still, it was annoying seeing that all the hard work me and Orochimaru did was taken away because Hiruzen wanted to. Hopefully the war will take a while and me and sensei can get our hands on other 'eager volunteers' from other fronts and such. I do want to figure out more of chakra's secrets, that is just such an interesting research and since I can't and won't use Konoha and Fire Land subjects to research (I am not dumb or desperate enough to do that) so the war is as good a way to go about it as I can ask for.

It is a twisted way of seeing things, sure, but one can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs, and if I need to break something(one) I would rather it be an enemy ninja.

It is, however, unfortunate that Danzo got more powerful recruits for his ROOT and, as such, grew in influence. Even worse since the one eyed freak has started sending inquiries with the Hyuga clan about handing me over to him for 'special training'.

Well, not that he managed it since Hiashi owed me one after all that happened and the clan elders did not want to risk doing this and provoking Tsunade after she put them in their places with just a light show of her strength. For a bunch of old fogies who like to play noble and Gods, they sure can shit their pants the moment someone shows how utterly insignificant and pathetic they truly are.

I just regret not being fully able to comprehend my surroundings at the time, otherwise I would take their terrified looks to the grave as cherished memories.

Getting into the Hokage tower, I take a deep breath to calm my nerves. I did not fancy the idea of acting out before the Hokage and dampening the good will I developed with the man after I literally saved his life.

"Hello, Lord Hokage has called for me." I told the secretary who, looking in my direction, smiled and nodded.

"Of course, Lord Setsuna. Wait a moment for me to inform him." She said as she got up to go there and… is it just me or is her shirt almost perfectly see through and she is wearing a miniskirt that barely covers her fat ass?

Damn, if this is the sort of uniform the Hokage can order for those that work for him, I can see why Danzou would want the position… Nah, pretty sure that mummy guy is homossexual who uses a clone to fuck his wrinkly old butt while henged as the second hokage.

That, or he makes clones use henge of Uchihas as little boys just so he can 'fuck the Uchiha'. I figure he is a twisted fuck like that (and yes, you can find people in Konoha doing stuff like that if you search for it with the Byakugan, shinobis are weird, kinky, and horny like that behind closed doors).

Anyway, soon the secretary came back and motioned for me to get inside.

"Oh, Setsuna-kun. Just the young hero I wanted to see." The Third Hokage said with a warm smile and I smiled back at him.

"Thank you for the praises, Hokage-sama. Now, what can I do for you?"

His warm smile diminished as he took out some papers and said.

"I called you over because I want to confirm some matters with you. Orochimaru mentioned about your new genjutsu and how it allows the operation this time to go so smoothly. I wanted to ask if you would be willing to offer it for the village?"

Well, that was pretty unexpected. Sakanade was honestly quite a unique jutsu and, while it is true that it is something only a Hyuga can use to its maximum effect, perhaps others can use it to lesser extents. It costs me relatively little to do this, but I want a suitable payment for my previous mission that honestly resulted in more gains for the village than some battle fronts during the second world ninja war.

"I am willing, but on some conditions." I said, making the Hokage nod his head. I guess he must have been expecting something like that.

"I will need to observe what your requests are before making a final decision, but I can hear you out at the very least."

Hearing the Hokage, who I saved the life of, say as much I nod and say my requests.

"I wish for the Spirit Transformation Jutsu." I say, making Hiruzen stop and frown while looking towards me.

"That is a dangerous jutsu for someone so young to try and master."

"So is invading an enemy village while they are in a state of war and kidnap so many kekkei genkai children." I counter before continuing. "I understand your worries for my safety, Lord Hokage, but this jutsu would further allow me to focus on helping my fellow compatriots even while far away from the center of combat. And, with all due respect to Lord Dan who is a hero of the village, this jutsu is better suited for a Hyuga clansman than anyone else."

Hiruzen raised a brow at my words before I explained.

"Making two shadow clones, a Hyuga can observe things several kilometers all around to make sure they are not found while using this technique. With my main body hiding underground under special forms it would make detection all the harder for any potential enemy and, even if someone is coming, one of the clones can just disperse to inform me of the situation. Not to mention that we of the Hyuga clan tend naturally more towards the spirit energy side, a big reason as to why I am of the firm believe that the Hyuga clan should focus on Genjutsu more than Taijutsu. Besides, according to notes I saw on my teacher's residence it is clear that the spirit transformation technique has a good focus on improving one's spirit energy, and with my current training on my physique it would greatly benefit me in the long run. With higher reserves of chacra I would be able to heal more people at the front as well, which would help me in serving Konoha to the best of my skills."

Given my explanations Hiruzen was still uncertain.

"This still seems like a bit too much for someone as young as you. You already have many things on your plate as is. You are being too hasty in searching for improvements."

Bowing towards the man I said.

"I understand your worries, Lord Hokage, but it is either now or only after the war would I be able to request for such a thing and, by then, who knows if I would be even alive."

Hiruzen started with an ambiguous gaze before sighing.

"Sorry, but I cannot agree to that."

Frowning at that, since he refuses then I can only try that other thing.

"Then, I would like to sign the contract summon for the Clam summoning scroll."

Hearing me say as much made Hiruzen much more thoughtful. Honestly speaking I could get the Spirit Transformation technique later from teacher Tsunade since that Jutsu was in the end something made by the second Hokage, being of the Senjuu clan. I just felt like requesting that of her now before I went to war might give her some bad memories and not be a good idea overall. Meanwhile with the summoning scroll, one can get multiple summoning contracts as long as the beasts agree and, while the snakes and Katsuyu do not agree with one another, I asked lady Katsuyu and she said she didn't have any particular trouble with any other summon beast clan.

The Clam is not an obviously powerful summon beast… until one remembers that it was the beast of the second Mizukage and it has some truly incredible abilities. Using it to hide myself even better should give me greater safety overall and who knows, maybe I could see if I can just hide inside the thing. It DID take Ohnoki, who is the strongest in the current shinobi world, to go all out to break its shell. I doubt even the Third Raikage can break that shell all that easily.

The hokage looks at me for a bit before sighing.

"With your current contribution points, you have the necessary qualifications but not the status."

Status? He sure as hell did not think of 'status' when he sent me to infiltrate mist shinobi village. Why even bother with that shit now? Being too famous only means being more of a target in the battlefield.

"As such, even if it is a bit controversial, I must give you this before I can let you take your reward." As Hiruzen finished speaking he took out a jacket from underneath his table and said. "Congratulations, Chuunin Hyuga Setsuna."
