The tears of life soon came upon the field after pocah's attack had ended. It was perhaps mundane that yubie would find herself in this position, being dominated by both a dragon and a golem. Nonetheless she picked herself up and dusted herself off. The fight continues.

Pocah: Your persistence is definitely admirable. -But it is still fruitless.

Yubie: Don't give me another 'you should surrender' spiels?

Pocah: No, but perhaps a story will do.

Pocah: the village I grew up in was a marvelous place. Indeed, the smell of flowers and morning dew was commonly a delight.

Pocah: -but there was one issue, Our village was on a floodplain. The wave spirit would constantly come by and destroy our homes.

Pocah: -And each time, the floods would come, we would rebuild everything. Nonetheless, the floods would come, we would rebuild, the cycle would continue over and over again.

Pocah: -Until one day. We gave up. We moved to another area and never looked back. We moved on and so must you.

Yubie paused for a second while looking at pocah.

Yubie: Ha….

She turned to the camera positioned above her and smiled, as if to say 'no worries'.

Yubie: Your foolish story only shows your ineptitude! Instead of preserving and saving your home, you just gave into some superstition! How cowardly!

Yubie: If anything, that story will encourage me not to give up! Less I end up like your scourge ridden village.

Yubie: Plus you could've just 'git gud' at basic architecture nerd.

The entire crowd laughed at yubie's quip. No doubt she felt a renewed sense of purpose after this reaction.

Pocah: I suppose even the simplest of heretics won't listen to reason. I end my turn.

Yubie placed her hand on her deck, closed her eyes and breathed in. I didn't know what was going through her head but it was undoubtedly an appeal of some kind. Be it luck or faith, she definitely needed some kind of intervention in order to win at this point.

Cael: (Yubie…. I don't know what you're thinking right now! - But all you need to do is trust in yourself and the power of your deck!)

Cael: (I know you can beat pocah! -And I want to see you in the semi-finals! Just use your brain for once!)

I chanted to myself. I believed in yubie, the only question is if she believed I'm herself.

She opened her eyes, drew a card and sighed.

Yubie: Pocah…

Pocah: Anything you have to say besides 'I surrender' is pointless to the spirits.

Yubie: Hmph. Even at a time like this, you're still bringing up those cursed spirits!

Pocah: They are my life, my guidance…

She sighed.

Yubie: Gehehehe…. Ahahaha… AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Yubie began laughing manically. Her eyes opened wide and her mouth fling opened cartoonishly while her laughter filled the stadium.

Pocah: What's so entertaining?

Yubie: You may not realize but I've already surpassed you!

Pocah: …Huh?

Yubie: You haven't realized it because you're too focused on your own vanity!

Yubie: You believe in your 'spirits' a supernatural force that may not even, I however believe myself and my own powers!

Yubie: I'll go beyond your own stupid spirits! -And brave my own enlightenment!

Yubie: Your days are numbered!

Yubie simply drew a card from her deck. No threatrics, nothing.

Yubie: I activate hand ragnarok!

Yubie: This card demands that we discard our entire hand and draw five new ones!

Yubie exclaimed. "This could be the boost she needs" we're the thoughts that came through my head as I watched this. If yubie played her cards right, literally, she could pull off a victory!

Yubie and Pocah drew five new cards! Though it was yubie who had the initiative here.

Yubie: HAHAHAHA!

She laughed.

Pocah: ….

Yubie: I'll summon satellarknight vega!

A star glazed in the sky, a shining gold light rained down as yubie stared directly at it. The crowd was stunned and amazed, a new monster had just appeared! A golden knight with two large rings surrounding his body appeared on the field. His eye slits were open, revealing a gaze only a battle hardened warrior would know.

Another golden knight came from the sky, joining its brother in arms. This one had the same ring as jis ally, albeit with a sphere floating in the middle. He also had battle weary eyes that conveyed a lust for blood.

Yubie: Tis ironic that your going to be defeated by astral beings, the ones who predate your spirits!

Pocah: …Ah!

Pocah merely gasped.

Yubie: Time to reforge my bonds to said space and bring back and a new hope! I'll use these two monsters to build the overlay network!

The two balls formed two spheres once more. They combined at the center of the field and a sparkling vortex, not unlike space, appeared!

Yubie: Come! Number 39! Utopia!

Utopia reappeared. He looked even more grandiose than last time. The galaxy shined off his armor, the stars aligned and the writer ran out of metaphors for describing this beast. This monster represented hope and perhaps that was fitting considering he was yubie's last hope on her penultimate turn.

Pocah: I admire your willingness to summon that creature again. Perhaps, you wanted to see it one last time in this tournament before my ultimate prediction comes true.

Yubie: Hmph! In your dreams! Welch!

Yubie: In fact, your predictions and destinies will soon be confined to ashheaps of history!

Yubie: I'll activate my ultimate card…. The card which will change it all. The card which will create a new dawn! I activate rank up magic! Barian's force!

Taka and Cael: A rank up!?

Me and taka screeched.

We were shocked by such a rare card appearing in this duel. It was usually reserved for the finest duelist and not something that someone like yubie would have.

Yubie: Come!

The clouds above turned dark red and began to swarm in a circle with foreboding consequences. Many of those involved in the tournament looked upwards in awe. One giant crest appeared in the sky, it was the symbol of the barians, a once noble and fictional group. Utopia turned into a shining ball of light once more and headed towards the sky!

An explosion occurred as all this happened, revealing a new monster.

The monster descended from the dark skies, creating a new atmosphere. This warrior was like utopia in so many ways… and yet different. It had dark red armor in contrast to utopia's light one. It carried a long broad sword the curved in a 'C' shape along with ridges and finally it had two wings on its back that more represented a fallen angel than the hero utopia was.

Yubie: Believe what you want! However, I will follow it up with one more thing - gagagarevenge!

Yubie activated a spell card,

Yubie: Don't you see, Pocah? What the power of humanity can do instead of your spirits.

Pocah: ….

Yubie: gagagarevenge allows me to bring back one "gagaga" monster from my graveyard, I'll use it to summon gagaga head!

A mage appeared on the field; He wore blue steel plated armor with another blue curved hat. He has on a cape that flowed majestically in the morning winds while he stared down the does in front of him.

Yubie: I discarded this monster earlier with hand ragnarok and now he's made his first appearance!

Yubie explained.

Yubie: Now then, It's time for your downfall!

Yubie: The rays of yubie will finally shine through your false alchemy! I activate the ability of utopia ray V!

Yubie: By using one overlay unit, I can destroy a monster you control and inflict damage to you equal to its attack points!

Yubie explained.

Pocah: This…. This wasn't what my spirits told me-

Yubie: Your spirits have lied to you, dear one!

Yubie: Go utopia ray v! Darkness havoc blade!

A dark force enveloped utopia as he gripped his blade. This utopia wasn't the utopia of hope like before, it was one of darkness. He spread his wings and thrust his blade forward. The edge of the blade gleamed in the sunlight before utopia launched it towards pocah's dragon. The blade spun 'round and 'round like a wheel, carving its way through the air until it hit quiyapuil katari. The dragon exploded into thousands of pieces and disintegrated. Katari was destroyed and so was pocah's hope.

Taka: By god! In a single move, yubie's gotten the upper hand! Impressive.

Cael: (It's rare to hear a compliment from taka.)

Bonnie: Ah…..

Bonnie was intensely glued to the screen, watching with every move. I was kind of proud of her. Taking an interest in dueling was something I always wanted to see in her.

Yubie: hahaha…

Yubie grinned, her new hope shining in front of her.

Yubie: Now utopia ray v! Attack her directly! Rising Sun Star Slash!

Utopia's blade postured outwards; a yellow glint of light reflected off the blade representing justice. Utopia spread his wings and glided upwards towards the sky which knew no limits. His sword danced in his hands as he reached the peak of his height and began gliding downwards. Every inch he glided downward paved a pathway to her doom. His blade slammed down right in front of pocah, creating a ginormous shockwave.

This Shockwave Hit Pocah, making her hair go aflush and reducing her life points even more.

Pocah placed her hand on the deck and closed her eyes. Maybe I was just imagining it, but an almost spiritly aura surrounded her as she did so. She softly and gently placed her hand on I deck and uttered some solemn words.

Pocah: I surrender.
