Ohsaka Had Ended her turn and was now waiting for neville to begin his turn. The wind blew in their faces as the harsh duel of life began to get Harder. The tension between these two was greater than they could ever imagine. -and yet there was a feeling of familiarity. Like they had both been here before.

Neville: I summon Gladiator Beast hoplomus!

A rhinoceros that wore a heavy armor appeared on the field. Its armor was sleek, pure white and had several ridges in them.

On the rhino's sides were several shields which could protect it from most blows.

it Was summoned in attack mode, which was odd because it seems more like a defense-oriented monster.

Neville: Its odd isn't it, the calamity Your about to face?

Ohsaka: Huh?

Neville: I believe that the scientific nature of dueling is quite evident. Just like a Calamity.

Ohsaka: Do you know what those words mean?

Neville: Yes. A Calamity 'is an event causing great and often sudden damage or distress; a disaster.', at least the dictionary definition is.

-And that's what I view every duel as 'a calamity.'

Neville: A calamity between you and me, I suppose. My Feelings are fully In distress? Are yours?

Ohsaka: You're Not even making sense….

Neville: I will be in a second.

Neville smirked.

Neville: Now attack! Gladiator Beast Hoplomus! Destroy her Mechania Flyer!

Hoplomus Stampedes forward with a furry in his step. Each step forward shakes the ground unimaginably, The Holographic effect however does not impede ohsaka however, Because of the basic facts Of this encounter.

Cael: Is he crazy? Hoplomus Has way less attack points than mechania flyer!

I exclaimed.

Taka: I don't Think he's trying to destroy it…. I think he's trying to set something up.

taka said.

Mechania flyer's mouth opened up and it released a blue laser beam from its mouth that penetrated the stampeding rhino's armor. Stooping it in its tracks. It soon exploded in a cloud of mist causing a shockwave.

Neville LP: 6100.

Ohsaka: ….

Neville: …..

Ohsaka: So I assume there was a point to that…

Neville: Yup! - As I end my battle phase, I can activate its effect! I can shuffle it back into my deck, in order to summon another gladiator beast monster from my deck.

Ohsaka: *Sigh*

Neville reached into his deck and pulled out a card. He Flinged it on his deck with a great fury that-couldn't be matched. He then shuffled hoplomus back in order to reveal a new monster.

Neville: I summon Gladiator beast Spartacus!

A dinosaur-like creature materialized on the field. It was brown in color and stood upright just like a human-being. It sounds redundant at this point but it had armor, of course and wore several shoulderpads. In its large burly hands was an axe, a large one, probably about 4 feet long in length with sharp pronounced edges. I couldn't describe him much in detail because he'd soon be gone.

Cael: Well, at least these two are more serious then. They get straight to the point.

Taka: I do wonder, though. If that could be a problem for ohsaka.

Cael: "Same mind, Same thoughts." As my mom would say.

Bonnie: Mommy doesn't say that…..

Cael: A-Anyway, countering him could be tough, especially with those two monsters on the field.

Taka: She'll manage. She's made it this far hasn't she….

Taka reassured. As if to immediately disprove Us, Neville did something shocking.

Neville: This is the fun Part! Now I'll fuse Gladiator Beast Spartacus and Gladiator Beast Bestiari.

Neville proclaimed while pointing to the sky.

Bonnie: Woah! Is he fusing without the fusion card…. Uhm, Polymerization?

Cael: Yeah, It must be…. Contact Fusion.

Taka: Aye.

Bonnie: What's that?

Taka: Jeez, cael, You consider yourself to be a dueling master and you don't even teach your sister the basics?

Cael: I-Its not my fault! Biscuit's head is full of air.

Bonnie: Hey! My head is full of bones and blood! Not air!

Cael: S-See!?

Cael: Anyway Bonnie, a contact fusion is a fusion that only uses Monster on the field to fuse. No fusion spell required. In some cases, the fusion monster returns to the extra deck at the end of the turn. Though, I don't think that's the case when neville's monster. He wouldn't have summoned At the end of his turn then.

Bonnie: Oh ok.

Ohsaka: A contact fusion huh? Between this and my union monsters, I can see we really are returning to the past aren't we?

Neville: 'Old is the new cool' as they day.

Neville Gleefully said as his two monsters began to fuse on the field. The two beasts thrust forward into each other creating a swirling mess of colors and light. The light became even brighter, It was a shine that could never be matched except perhaps by the sun.
Out of this light came a new monster.
The monster was dinosaur-like like spartacus before it, Except it had some more human like features. It was brown in color with scales supplanted on half of its body. It stood upright like a human with its large t-rex head and large snout being prevalent. It had two large fists for which it held a large axe, once again like spartacus.

Ohsaka looked slightly surprised by this monster.

Neville: Surprised I brang out the big guns huh? Well I'm not taking you lightly Miss 'Champion"

Neville winked.

Ohsaka: Surprised. By this. I thought you would surely poke and prod me a bit more before summoning a boss monster like that.

Neville: Like I said, I'm not taking you lightly.

Ohsaka: -But surely This goes against your thought of 'Natural dueling'

Neville: Eh, I'm not rigid on that.

Neville: Like a wolf, I adapt to my situation. If a competing predator is larger than me, I team up with my other wolves. In this case, that's with my monster.

Ohsaka: Your nature analogy is a bit sloppy but whatever….

Ohsaka said with a smirk.

Neville: Getting back to the duel, I'll equip 'Gladiator Beast Battle manica.'

A Metallic armband appeared on the field. It attached to gaiodiaz's arm and the monster let out a roar.

Neville: Now, Gaiodiaz can't be destroyed by battle.

Ohsaka: Ah….!

Ohsaka gasped.

Neville: I end my turn.

Weirdly enough Neville began to sit down. He yanked on his tail and began to sigh. Some in the audience were curious about this and began to lean

Neville: You know you said that my style was contradictory but I don't think thats right.

Neville: Its perfectly in line. With my personality.

Ohsaka: …?

Neville: Me and my family live on the few parts of this island that our still claimed by nature. The woods right between the city and the Shinohara Protectorate.

Neville: Its a succinct place. Just trees and animals.

Ohsaka: Do I really need to hear your backstory?

Ohsaka bemoaned.

Neville: It has a moral. Trust me.

Neville: One day, I was playing with my brother, wendell near a Waterfall. I went to chase after ladybug and well….

Ohsaka: Let me guess, You fell down?

Neville: Yep.

Neville: Fell down and hit my head hard. On a rock, apparently.

Neville: When I awoke, I was on the forest bed. Surrounded by wolves. They licked all of my wounds and healed. They took me in as they're own, feeding me the wild meat of the forest. I hunted, I killed, I played with the pack. I felt like I was one of them.

Neville said with a solemn voice.

Neville: I don't know how long it was… Maybe months but I was eventually found by some hikers and returned to my family.

Neville stood back up and looked directly into ohsaka's eyes.

Neville: I was enthralled by my own story - What would lead the wolves to take care of me like that? Why would they do it? Could we study it?

Neville: That's when I got into scientific theory and behavioral theory.

Ohsaka: As a kid?

Neville: Yeah.

Neville: It was the only thing I had.

Neville: Animals are our future. the way they think and the way we study them could be the key to immortality!

Neville: -And thats the reason why i'm in this tournament to have money to start a new study into animals

Ohsaka: Keh. You're 14 and you sound like a college grad. Gosh.

Ohsaka smiled.

Neville: …. I suppose, its a bit idealistic.

Neville: I'd like to know what you think though.

Ohsaka: I'll let you know as soon as I begin my turn.

She said as she drew a card from her deck. Ohsaka looked at the card she drew and had the same stoic face as she did before.

Ohsaka: I activate Polymerization!

She shouted as she slammed the card down on her duel disk.

Ohsaka: I'll fuse the mechania flyer on the field with a mechania flyer in my hand!

A fusion swirl appeared right behind ohsaka as her two monsters began to be sucked into it. Perhaps I didn' understand or was being bribed by the intoxicating nature of it, but the conjoinment of these two lead to a new future.
A two headed, large version of mechania flyer appeared on the field. The creature was large with a long neck that split in both directions, Revealing that this creature had two heads like a cerberus. The mechanical bird like heads of the creatures poked out and screeched at the beast on the field. A true battle was about to begin.

Taka: Yeah, Thats the one that can attack twice, right? Prime combo material.

Taka commented.

Ohsaka: Then I'll activate another card - Mechania Union factory!

A miniature factory appeared in front of ohsaka. It was reminiscent of those illustrious yet destitute factories of the 1800s.

Ohsaka: This is a continous spell that has many effects! One of which is too let me equip a union monster from the grave to a monster on the field!

She explained.

Ohsaka: Now! I'll equip Mechania ally from beyond the grave to Mechania twin flyer!

The cogs in the factory began spinning wildly, like a pinwheel. Each churn and grind of the factory metal could be heard around the stadium, causing discomfort to some viewers. Eventually mechania ally appeared on the field, good as new.

Ohsaka: I'll equp Mechania ally to Mechania Twin flyer!

I could see a twinkle In Ohsaka's eyes as she picked up another card from her hand. She was really getting into this duel. Excitement was rare for her, so seeing this side of her was unexpected to say the least.

Ohsaka: I activate Limiter Removal!

Neville: …!

A card which displayed a broken speedometer appeared.

Ohsaka: This card doubles the attack points of all machine-Type monsters on the field.

Neville: Dang…

Mechania Twin Flyer

Ohsite's mechanical monster screeched out in ecstasy as its attack points rose to an astonished 5200! Surely nothing neville could throw at it could stand up to it at this point?

Ohsaka: Now let me tell you what I think about your Story.

Ohsaka said in a teasing way.

Neville: ….

Ohsaka: -Really a 'raised by wolves story'? You expect me to believe that? How unoriginal.

Ohsaka: Your thoughts and philosophy are also flawed.

Ohsaka: You view Nature as the next step in human evolution, I don't agree.

Ohsaka: Animals are too simple,crazy and wild to be our model for evolution.

Ohsaka: Machines are our way forward. They have complexity, they have prestige, They can do things humans can only think of doing.

Ohsaka: I think that's the difference between Animals and machines. Animals represent chaos while machines represent order. Yin and yang.

Ohsaka exclaimed.

Ohsaka: -And now I'll prove that to you! Mechania twin flyer attack his fusion monster - Gaiodiaz!

Ohsaka yelled.

Two beams of light appeared in the twin mouths of mechania twin flyers. It formed into a ball inside of their mouth. Finally after 3 seconds, two lasers streamed from their mouth as a beam. it was a magnificent beam, one that screamed of elegance of power. It only took a couple of seconds before it reached neville's monster, However….

Neville: I activate a trap card! Enchanted Spear!

A card flipped over. It was a spear with a yellow ring around it.

Neville:-The card lets me gain life points equal to your monsters atk! Not only

Cael: Crud. That's 5200 Life points!

Taka: Hold your horses there, cael. Ohsaka's attack is still going through!

Taka was right, Ohsaka's blast was still going through!

Ohsaka: So I'm guessing your card only makes you gain lp and protects your monster? Doesn't stop attacks or prevent you losing the LP you gained?

Neville: Yep.

He simply answered.

Taka: Makes sense I guess. If you do the math, You technically won't take any damage.

Neville LP: 11300

The twin Flyer's blast hit gladiator beast Gaiodiaz yet did not seem to destroy it. The beast shrugged it off, almost in a cocky sense. Regardless, neville lost some of the life points he gained.

Neville LP: 8700

Ohsaka: Well….. Its a good thing twin flyer can attack twice!

Ohsaka praised.

Mechania Twin Flyer's mouth opened once more and Poured another Laser stream out. This one was slightly bigger than the last and faster. It hit Gladiator Beast Gaiodiaz One more in its main body. Once more not destroying but still causing neville some damage.

Neville LP: 6100.

Neville Smirked and Looked at ohsaka. His glare was as piercing as the sun. He seemed like A renewed Teen, someone for whom the midnight bells tolled for. He grabbed his own tail and merely said:
