Summer vacation went by very fast. And it wasn't long until it was time to go back to school.

Once Squidward stepped out of my mom's car near Foster City School, he breathed out a sigh. "They may be a foot away, but I love the smell of a new classroom on the first day."

"As opposed to the smell of money?" asked Mr. Krabs, whom Squidward stared at, then walked away towards the Imagination Lodge

"No? Just me?" Mr. Krabs said, shrugged, then followed after Squidward.

As hall monitors SpongeBob and Patrick hopped out of the car, scatting together, they turned to see me gazing at what was once my school.

"Nathan, you OK?" asked SpongeBob.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah." I said, snapping back to reality. "I just…can't believe the summer went by fast, that's all."

"Are you sure you're OK?" asked Patrick.

"I'm more than OK, I'm fine." I said while about to close the car door. "I'll see you guys later, OK?"

"OK, see ya." Patrick said, waving goodbye as Mom drove me away.

SpongeBob, meanwhile, knew that even though I had grown to like Bowditch, I still haven't gotten over Foster City School and how it felt like a second home to me.

He thought for a moment, then snapped his fingers, whispering his idea in Patrick's ear.

"Oooooh." he exclaimed intriguingly.

Then, they both went to find and tell Amelia.
