Announcer: Ahhh! Thats it folks! Ohsaka Matsushiba has Won.
The crowd roared with excitement. The epic duel has come to its conclusion and now not only was the match over but now, the quarter finals.
Announcer: That Finale was epic! That triple attack nearly stopped my heart!
Announcer: Oh dear, the tension could cut through the room like a knife!
As the announcer recapped the duel, ohsaka walked over to neville.
The boy lay on the ground in a dramatic fashion. He had a long frown on his face and His arm was over his eyes almost if he couldn't bare to see his result. He was clearly defeated and sulking in it.
Ohsaka: Hey.
Neville: *Sigh* Here to gloat?
Ohsaka: Nope, just to offer you a hand up.
She stated. Neville looked at her hand and scoffed.
Neville: I don't need your pity.
Ohsaka: Stop talking like an anime villain. Whats wrong?
Neville:I lost! It's over. I won't get the money. My research….
Ohsaka: Really? You're mad about that?
Ohsaka: Look sir, I don't know about you but after hearing all that crap about natural dueling, science and that wolf story, I want to live your dreams.
Neville: Huh?
Ohsaka: Your passionate about what you want, Neville, I see that. That goes a long way.
Ohsaka: Now Stand up. It's not over for you.
She once against outstretched her hand. Neville stood up and took her hand.
They both shook hands, and the crowd went wild. They began shouting both of their names. They both clearly were the stars of the show.
Neville: Thanks, Ohsaka.
He merely said. The two of their eyes met, conveying a fiery compassion and understanding of each other. This duel was truly a grand moment for the two of them. We got to see ohsaka's dueling skills and resilience. The way she shrugged off each and every one of neville's obstacles really inspired me.
Announcer: -And now folks we now have our four semi-finalists.
On the screen above him appeared four portraits. All of us, who had won our rounds.
Announcer: Leonaidis Biancho, Cael Abel, Yubie Kattobin and Ohsaka Matsushiba!
Once more the crowd cheered.
Announcer: These four duelists are the strongest there is! Now they'll be going to face to face!
Announcer: Tune in next week, when two of them will face off in the semi-finals! Thank you for watching!
The announcer relayed as the broadcast came to an end.
Taka: well. That was certainly something.
Cael: You can say that again.
Taka: Between Yubie's cartoonish duel with Pocah and Ohsaka's nail biting duel with neville. It certainly was entertaining.
Bonnie: Well, at least all three of you won! Now you can go on in life!
Taka: I don't know if that's a good thing, bonnie.
Cael: Oh taka. We can talk about that tomorrow.
Taka: Yeah, you're right.
Cael: I feel bad for neville... and pocah.
Taka: Hmm. Yeah.
Cael: Both of them were fighting for nature. Neville to study it and pocah to preserve it.
Taka: It shows that we're all in this for our own reasons. Some more noble than others.
Cael: -I almost feel bad. We're just in it for ourselves, aren't we?
Taka: I guess so. -But we're all splitting it, so In a way, I guess we're doing it for each other.
Both of us were silent for a second. We both knew that was a weak justification. Nevertheless, we chuckled.
Cael: Well, I think me and bonnie should rest. We're sick after all.
Taka: Right, Get better cael. I need my peasants well after all.
Cael: Shut up.
Taka: You get better too, Monsieur bonnie.
Bonnie: Thank you, Mister Taka! Bye.
Taka then ended the call.
Cael: Well, that was entertaining. Wasn't it Biscuit?
Bonnie: I guess so, Ehehe.
Bonnie: I think you liked it more than I did.
Cael: What are you talking about?
Bonnie: You were oogling those two! Miss Ohsaka and Yubie!
Bonnie screeched. I merely rolled my eyes.
Cael: You're imagining things, kiddo.
Bonnie: No I'm not!
Bonnie: Cael and his girlfriend's sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G.
As bonnie chortled, I sighed.
Mom: I'm back.
Our door opened and in came our mother. She was carrying three bags all filled To the brim with pill bottles, Vials and containers. She placed them on the table and turned to us.
Cael: God Mom, did you buy the whole pharmacy?
Mom: I might've teehee. I just want my babies to feel better.
Mother: Now please, Take these and get some rest.
Bonnie: Ok mommy.
Cael: Yeah…
Me and bonnie spent the rest of the day in our beds, Trying to heal from our sickness. What was on my mind were the duels I witnessed this weekend. Both winners and losers had shown immense amounts of passion in their bouts, of course spurred by a motivation to win. -But perhaps it spoke to something deeper that we all had something to lose, no matter how small. We were all playing for something and in order for one of us to win, the other would have to lose not only the match but they're hopes and dreams at least for the moment. -And I think that's what bothered me the most. Even though I do want to win, I don't want to take anything from someone. Is it just unavoidable? These thoughts plagued me to no end as I rested.
