The wind blew hard today as I went to school. I was slightly still sick but I felt better than yesterday. Nothing of note happened at school, Despite some increased attention towards Me,Ohsaka and Yubie because of our presence in the tournament.
After school, Taka wanted us to meet at meimei's restaurant to discuss the next round, our dueling and other things.
After school I headed to the restaurant. The weather outside was windy like I mentioned, So I had the pleasure of getting hit with medium speed winds directly to my face as I journeyed to the restaurant. I soon made it there with zeal. I pushed the door opened with my right hand, my left still in recovery.
When I entered the place, I saw a typical site. The restaurant wasn't usually busy on monday's, So it was only my friends and a couple of other patrons there. Otherwise it was empty. Still though the smell of delicious chinese food entered my nose, No matter how many times I smell it, I get still nostalgic…. and hungry.
My friends, Taka, Alison and Rhaja were sitting in booth, all waiting for me, it seems. Though Ohsaka and Yubie were not here, so they were probably waiting for them too.
I sat down in the booth right next to taka who was in the middle.
Taka: Well here comes our semi-finalist, everyone!
Taka said in a voice mocking the announcer.
Alison and Rhaja clapped in a sincere way as I smiled.
Ali: Woo!…. Cael!
Rhaja: Congrats.
Cael: Thank you!
Ali: Golly, Time flies so fast. One minute, were in the first round of the tournament, nextminute we're about to be in the Semi-finals!
Cael: You can say that again!
Meimei: Aiya!
I heard the sound. The infamous sound, The one that girl who annoyed me made. She of course, Cartwheeled out of kitchen with menu's in her hand. She stopped just before our table and bowed.
Meimei: Oh dear, My dream boy is here!
She said while looking at me.
Meimei: Aiya! Cael! You just can't get enough of me huh~ Second time in five days you've come here.
She winked.
Cael: Ugh. Just a coincidence.
Meimei: I heard you were sick! My goodness!
Cael: I think you were the one who got me sick…
[Flashback]
She had jumped on my back and hugged me profusely, I could barely Breathe. I could tell she was sick from her raspy breathing and constant sniffling.
Cael: Meimei... Please get off of me...
I Requested. She seemed to ignore my needs as always and just engaged in her fantasies
Meimei: I bet You thought I wouldn't be here to support you! B-But…. - B- But. ACHOOO!
The girl released a rapid stream of snot and miasma that barely missed my clothes as it dripped out of her putrid nose.
Cael: *Shudder*
Meimei: *Sniff* S-Sorry about that. Teehee.

Meimei: Nonsense! the only sickness I gave you was Love-sickness!
Cael: You really are something else, You know that.
Meimei: Hehe. I can be more than 'something' if you want.
She leaned in closer.
Taka: look, Meimei, Why don't you go and get us some fried rice and eggs rolls. we're starving here!
Meimei: Oh-Oh! Ok!
Meimei said, backing off from me. It seems taka shooed her away
Cael: You saved me.
Taka: Like I always do.
Cael: Ha!
Ali: Cael, Is your arm ok? I notice you moving it a bit more than usual.
Cael: yeah, I feel like I can move it a bit more than usual but its still tense and hurts a little bit.
Cael: It feels a bit weird there, Like I've lost my connection to it somehow. I don't know if it'll ever get better.
Rhaja: I get what you mean…. It was like that with my lungs. I had to pace my breaths after my accident….. And get used to this way of talking….
Cael: Ugh, I hope I don't have to deal with this forever. Though, this isn't anything to what you have to deal with, Rhaja.
Ali: You know cael, I could massage it, If you want. It might help with the pain.
Cael: (A massage… From ali?)
Cael: I have to turn that down. Thank you though.
Taka: He considered it though!
Cael: N-No I didn't!
Yubie: Aye! We have arrived mortals.
We heard the door open and in came yubie and ohsaka, The two looked normal as usual, Yubie wearing Her classic white dress and ohsaka,
Although there was some pride on their Faces as they walked in, clearly they
Taka: -And here comes our dueling dames!
Ali: Wooo!
Rhaja: Congrats….. to you….. Both.
They both did the faux celebrations for yubie and Rhaja like they did for me earlier.
Taka: I have to say, I'm impressed by you two ladies. I thought at least one of you would lose.
Yubie: Hmph. You underestimate us! No mere human can compare to our power. Even this witch, Ohsaka, has some power.
Ohsaka: Eh, To be fair. Neville did have us on edge for a second there. It was hit or miss.
Taka: Well anyway with all of our members, Here, this meeting begins now!
Taka: Now, all 3 of you have won your duels and thats a good thing, don't get me wrong but-
Ohsaka: -But now we'll for sure have to face one each other in the semi-finals.
Taka: Yes…
Taka paused and looked at us.
Cael: This was inevitable….
Cael: I think the only thing we can do is discuss the matchups and Leonaidis.
Ohsaka: He is our biggest problem. If he can One turn kill an experienced duelist like azuma then he'll have an easy time with us.
Cael: Yeah, You said it.
Rhaja: I think….. You'd be the best one…. The best one to face him, cael.
Rhaja suggested.
Cael: Huh? Me?
Rhaja: You know him the best….
Taka: She's got a point. You've dueled him the most out of any person here. You'd have the best shot at beating him in the next round.
Cael: Are you guys forgetting that leonaidis beat me pretty soundily a couple of weeks ago?
Taka: Cael you know leonaidis the best, Even if you lost, you still stand the best chance.
Cael: Taka, You're right but...
I sighed as I looked at my arm. Going against leonaidis certainly did bring some anxiety to my heart and yet, I felt like it was our best chance.
Yubie: I think I could hold my own against that elf leonaidis!
Cael: didn't you almost lose to pocah!
Yubie: Hmph! I didn't 'almost lose' I just was just less successful at winning.
Cael: (What's the difference?)
Ohsaka: You're underestimating me too. I'm a champion just like him and I faced many others exactly like him.
Taka: Be that as it may, we can't take leonaidis for granted.
Taka: That being said, yubie vs leonaidis, well we're screwed.
Yubie: Hey!
Cael: What should we do then?
Taka: I suggest you all change your decks to be a bit more defensive.
Cael: that might work but leonaidis Is crafty.
Yubie: Hmph! Have no fear, my strategy will smite him.
Ohsaka: Which is…?
Taka: Throw stuff randomly at the wall until leonaidis goes insane.
Ali: Hehee.
Yubie: That wasn't even funny.
Taka: Look guys, just use your heads. Leonaidis Valkyrias can summon a bunch of monsters at monsters at once and increase their power.
Taka: I think if you all just hold a defensive position with your monsters, you can short him Out.
Cael: Thats sounds kind of vague….
Ohsaka: This strategy is coming from the guy who lost in round 3.
Taka: I didn't lose, I just merely didn't win.
Ohsaka: So, losing?
Taka: Call it what you want.
Rhaja: Maybe we could Get him in... on our scheme, Er plan? Offer him... some money.
Rhaja: ...You all did use to know him… right?
Cael: Plus, I think I speak for everyone when I say, I want to win this as legit as possible. Bribing leonaids would feel weird and desperate, Probably wouldn't work
Ali: Kind of devious of you to suggest Rhaja.
Ali chuckled.
Yubie: I'm rubbing off on you, sage.
Rhaja: Just making…. Suggestions… is all.
Rhaja said.
Ali: I wonder why leonaidis is acting like this. He wasn't this arrogant and jerk-like when we knew him!
Taka: I don't know, something must've changed when he had his accident. I don't know…..
Cael: (Leonaidis….)
I thought about my once friend and how he turned from a kind caring, self-Conscious individual to a cold, cynical, Jaded person who I saw this tournament? Were they even the same person?
Ali: How about we talk about the other matches next rounds?
Ali said to change the subject.
Cael: I'm more worried about our matchups against each other.
Taka: What do you mean?
Cael: Next round it'll Either be me versus Ohsaka, Me vs Yubie or Ohsaka vs Yubie.
Taka: Yikes, Bad options all around.
Yubie: I'm not worried about you nymphs or leonaidis, I'll climb to the top and crush you all!
Cael: Do you have to talk like an anime villian every time you talk?
Yubie: Do you have to interrupt me in every monologue I do?
Cael: Touche.
I smiled and changed the subject.
Cael: I think the best-case scenario is me vs Leonaidis and Yubie vs Ohsaka.
Taka; Either way, At least One of you won't be going into the finals.
Cael: Look, I think no matter what strategy we come up, whether it's against leonaidis, or for ourselves, we can only let destiny decide.
Taka: God, Way to be melodramatic cael.
Meimei: Aiya! Order up!
Meimei come with our put on several plates. It was several bowls of delicious fried plates with some shrimp and beef added in.
Taka: Huh. I swear I just ordered plain fried rice.
Meimei; Ah, I added shrimp and beef for you all, free of charge. Consider it my congratulations for advancing to the semi-Finals.
Meimei bowed to us all, It felt very sincere. She didn't see it but I did smile. Ohsaka and yubie thanked her, while I merely thought:
