Hello there, folks, for another Overlord (2012)/Highschool DxD story of my Players In YGGDRASIL franchise where I go out of my way to use my imagination in creating some of the best, the worst, the unorthodox, the fictional, the mythological and the historical self-inserted created characters as of date where I want to make a power fantasy self-insert because I want to escape from reality and make what I am self-inserted to either for the better or for the worse it it's entirety...
Now, this story is similar to my 'Malachi: The True Hero of Justice' story and it is a story where a self-aware self-insert would go to a universe that he has become aware, used such knowledge to his advantage, whether for altruistic thoughts or for selfish reasons, be a power fantasy while also noted that despite being a fan's wet dreams, they will know that they will face off against something far worse that they must take these seriously...
So, as I make an Angel with The Boys (2019), I make a Demon in Highschool DxD and do the opposite route by do what the embodiment of evil does...
Mostly, because if knowing Redo of Healer is anything to go by, is that I don't want to make the protagonist truly that unsympathetic and one-dimensional and if you have seen what I wrote on Wattpad, then you would at least the manual first before you could see what's the whole context is...
Now, I know that you guys have been seen many Overlord (2012)/Highschool DxD, starting with Ainz being transported to Highschool DxD universe and after reading through the numerous stories that everyone had made, I would like to say this:
The fight scenes will not be an easy curb stomp...
The ensuing misunderstanding will be extremely rare as I don't on doing any kind of poor communication skills...
None shall do something stupid and incompetent and if they did, it is mostly for the sake of comedy or if it's in line with canon...
No exposition...
No bad grammar and while the way I write may not be perfect, I assure that in comparison to that Overlord (2012)/Akame ga Kill crossover with the long ass writing, exposition and seizure inducing writing, this one will be simple and straightforward...
No exception...
Now, with that out of the way, on with the story...
Disclaimer: I do not own Highschool DxD and Overlord (2012). They belong to their respective owners.
YGGDRASIL...
A game that is named after the Norse Mythological Tree who's roots spanned across the nine realms, if the name are an indication, it is also a game that had been created during the year of 2138 as after rampant corruption upon corporations has become an all-time high, some of the more 'benevolent' corporations, and that term is used rather loosely here, had taken the opportunity to create a game made for those who want to escape from the reality of corruption, decay and the end of the world...
Thus the DMMORPG or also known as, the Dive Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game has become a massively popular game for players who had the money and the system to immerse themselves into the role of their own choosing, becoming either an Undead Sorcerer, a Human Paladin, a Demon Knight, an Elven Ranger, a Drow Warlock, a Warforged Artificier and more, the possibilities are absolutely endless.
And yes, the developers of YGGDRASIL did take liberties from the Dungeons and Dragons franchise because they need to give their game more depth and more refreshments such as the more obscure race and class and players alike have gone out of their way to emulate various characters from either the fictional or the mythological such as one example being made to replicate Ultron or one of them trying to emulate the Resident Evil franchise...
All in all, as pop cultures have risen to popularity from anime, manga, movies, video games and of course, web videos, the entertainment industry have likewise skyrocketed and YGGDRASIL had once gone from a fantasy genre to either a heavily modded or a DLC driven virtual reality game that everyone would love to enjoy...
Overall, the game is a major success and had sold many copies, alongside the game console itself, through the roof due to it's popularity...
But over time, the popularity of the famous DMMORPG that is YGGDRASIL starts to decline as players alike finds out on how problematic the whole mechanic is in it's integration and segregation such as the players getting experience points by killing other none-human players, constant need to chant their spells or skills which can be ruined if the audio isn't filtered enough and finally, each newer players becoming absolute idiots who can't even play the game right, the fandom community being absolutely toxic and of course, the server being on a steady decline after players alike still has their own life rather than the virtual life in a video game and overall, it is no surprise that YGGDRASIL is about to end...
Many players alike tried to deny this and plead with the developers to continue the game but unfortunately, financial droppings and system management is no longer possible and all the players can do is to just play the game until the server is shutting down...
Then, maybe just then that if they can pray and be hopeful, that there will be a YGGDRASIL 2 but between the world itself starting to collapse, people have lose faith at such a possibility...
This include one player who still stayed upon the server...
Situated upon the cliff upon some uncharted area of the map, this particular player appears to be a humanoid in appearance with their very identity hidden beneath his form fitting black armour alongside the wings and the tendrils, making him look more or less like a demonic mechanical robotic golem of sort especially his main weapons are the many katana located upon his sheathe.
Staring upon the horizon as he stands upon the cliff, looking upon the digital sunset up, the player then said, "Finally, I did it... I have finally done it." He then raised his palm forward and chanted...
"Summon: Prime Eldritch Elemental."
And out came a being appearing before the player.
It appears to be a towering entity, humanoid in form yet it is obviously and apparently not human, it's body being of dark-blue skin with some parts having some sort of stars sticking upon it, it's arms long and slender while the rest of it's body are primarily made entirely of tendrils that gives the being the impression of a robe while it's face lies no known lack of expression with only the many eyes, two on where the standard placements of eyes should be while there is a middle and above that gives it the impression of two, giving it a four-eye description while it's head are a mass of tendrils that gives it the impression of flowing hairs.
The player look upon the being that he had summoned as he said, "Yes, finally. I did it. They said I can't do it. They said I can never do it. They said that it is impossible. But I actually did it, having the Prime Eldritch Elemental at the tip of my hand and I won..." The player then yelled at the top of his audio, "Yeah, baby. I did it. I did it. I got the best summon in this game and I did it. Hah, who's laughing now, dorks?"
This player is known as Angra 'Ahriman' Mainyu, a Level 100 Demon Hexblade and one of the many players who are online in playing the DMMORPG known as YGGDRASIL.
And upon the many classes that are set by YGGDRASIL, none embody how hard it is then being a Hexblade which is described as a hybrid between a Warlock and a Warrior combined, granting the skills of a swordsman build with the powerful spells at their disposal, especially when combined with the race of a Demon.
Ahriman didn't exactly starts off easy with choosing his Race and Class as being a Demon, he would be hunted down for the EXP for other players to level up while being a Hexblade is in theory, could have work but in practice, results in a cool class with a badass name can only result in such a letdown.
This is because levelling up the Hexblade class is hard as Ahriman finds out how overly complicated the whole perks and spells in the hierarchy and he had heard from many players around that anyone who had become a Hexblade has resulted in a lot of fatalities as the players finds them too hard to play and quit the game in favour of a new player character that isn't a Hexblade anymore.
However, Ahriman managed to succeed where other's failed through a mixture of grinding and being extremely focused and he had gained a much higher level that makes him a fearsome opponent in the virtual world of YGGDRASIL, mainly because of how Ahriman had succeeded in turning the Hexblade Class into a game breaking one that make him easily weakened his enemies with his numerous spells before finishing them off with his martial skills alongside how, being a Demon, he is powerful enough to take on against anyone, even without his curse casting spells.
And being a Hexblade means gaining familiars and Ahriman has gone out of his way to get a lot of familiars in his time playing YGGDRASIL which range between small animals like how wizards have with their owls or mice to Ahriman succeeding in getting some far more powerful familiars that he doesn't mean to brag but, there is no denying that his familiars have stretched the meaning of 'a wizards' magical pets'.
And of course, there is his equipment as well.
The Armour of Perpetual Discord, a powerful legendary class armour that not only gives Ahriman the absolute best stats of protection but also gives him more powerful attacks like the ability to sprout wings for flight, sprout tendrils for additional attacks, sprout lupine heads to maul his enemies and so much more.
And of course, the Blade of the Accursed, a specially made legendary class weapon made for the Hexblade class that allows the Hexblade to cast their debuff curse when they strike their enemies once then activate his accursed spells alongside the fact that the weapon itself is a powerful katana that has power cord damage and just like any katana, it can even make anyone bleed while also granting him a high chance of a critical hit.
All in all, Ahriman is a player that had it all by being powerful in both magic and martial prowess, powerful weaponry and an army of powerful familiars at his back and call, Ahriman can only feel a sense of pride that he can enjoy while playing YGGDRASIL.
Unfortunately...
"Hahahahaha, yeah. Hold the applause. I know I'm awesome but... but..." Ahriman can only sigh sadly before he gives a frustrated yell and said, "Oh, who am I kidding? This sucks..." He said as he stomp his foot down in frustration, "I mean, what's the point? The server is about to shut down, I can't continue playing the game and all the effort I have been done, being this good..." He said as he checked himself out, "Was all for nothing, anyway? I mean, how can I handle that shit. You feel me, big guy..." Ahriman said, looking at the towering Prime Eldritch Elemental who just stand there like the NPC it is as Ahriman nod and said, "Yeah, good talk there, buddy."
Ahriman just sit near the cliff as he can feel the clock of the server is about to shut down, "Guess if I were to let it end, I guess I would finished all of it up with no regrets. I guess that's the reason why I want you... uh... okay, what's gonna be your name again?" Ahriman tried to think about it, "God, it feels so bad that I would leave you without a name. And not something immature because I already named my familiars with something cool or something ironic and I want to make such a cool thing like you..." He said, pointing at the Prime Eldritch Elemental, "Really, really cool."
Ahriman then looked up, wanting to know about what to call the new familiar like the Prime Eldritch Elemental before him, "I don't know. How about Deus?"
The clock is ticking.
"Nah, too immature. It's kind of rhyme with 'douche' if you think about it." Ahriman said as he tried to think some more.
It is ticking down.
"How about, McButtFace? Nah, that's even worse."
Ticking down closer.
"Kevin? How about Kevin? That easy to remember, right?"
And closer.
"No, no. I need something awesome. Something cool. Something that sounds like you are powerful and scream, 'I am an Eldritch Abomination of infinite wisdom and power. Bow before the might of...'" Ahriman tapped his finger upon his mask and said, "See, what did I just say?"
And closer to the end as the server is one step towards shut down.
"How about..." Ahriman then tried to think some more until finally, he had an idea, "Nemesis?"
And with that, the server had finally shut down, the clock counting to the end as all Ahriman can see is just the darkness itself.

"Wake up, master. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up."
Okay, who the fuck is speaking to him? And why is his voice so deep and raspy?
Well, that's the end of the prologue. And for the record, I intend on expanding the whole story like adding the Fate series in the mix.
Why? Cause I love to have a waifu and the Fate series, especially Fate/Grand Order, has tons to pick and tons to choose...
Plus, Heroic Spirits as Servants? Not for nothing if Angra 'Ahriman' Manyu is a guy that always collect any kind of army at his disposal...
Well, anyway, if you have anymore ideas, let me know in the comments below and try out your own Players In YGGDRASIL work...
I would like to see and appreciate what you can make with your imaginations especially for those who are big fans of fantasy, fanfiction and of course, a self-insert power fantasy...
As always...
Ciao...
Edit: Sorry about that... Something's wrong with the wording in this and I have to fix it. Anyway...
Ciao...
