Note: I'm sorry for taking so long. It ended up being more explicit that I thought, so I kept uploading it in AO3, but I can edit it to be less explicit here ^_^U
Sorry for the inconveniences!
8. Taking action
First stage looked simple at first, but its levels were tricky. Isagi managed to clear it when he had 5 minutes left and passed to the second stage, where he saw Nagi, Reo and other guys waiting. The requirement to move forward was to form a group of 3 people, nothing more.
It was awkward, like in school.
Maybe everyone is waiting for someone…
After a couple of minutes, a new player entered the room.
"Isagi!"
"Bachira!"
Finally, a friendly face! Thanks to that, the waiting seemed almost fun.
"So, who are we picking for the last spot? There's me, you and one more" Bachira said, taking Isagi's participation for granted.
The blue eyed striker was surprised, even when he thought he didn't mind. It was true he was thinking about teaming up with Kunigami, but Bachira was a great player too: his dribbles and passes were awesome and they had a common understanding. Now, to complete the trio, it would be Kunigami or Chigiri.
"But we can only choose one…"
"Then, let's team up with whoever gets here first"
"Roger!" Bachira told Isagi and himself he was OK with both teammates, but his monster prayed for Chigiri to show up first instead of Kunigami.
Suddenly, someone walked towards them.
"Hey, Isagi Yoichi, won't you team up with us?" It was Nagi. Isagi, Bachira and even Reo looked at him with wide eyes.
"Nagi, you said you wanted to team up with someone else, but… Was it this guy?"
"Yeah, he was the most amazing player in our match"
Isagi felt honored to be acknowledged as an amazing player by Nagi —even when he hated him at first. However, he was with Bachira… and noted Reo's menacing glare. Nope, I won't be the third wheel between them!
"What will you do?" Bachira asked, trying to look unconcerned, but it wasn't working. One of the best players from the best team they had faced was trying to team up with Isagi! God, it's so difficult to be a celebrity's friend!
"No way would I go, I'm with you!" Isagi said to his friend, and then to Nagi: "Sorry, but I won't go there alone".
Bachira smiled, relieved. Nagi didn't change his expression.
"Got it. Then I'll join your team. Is that OK?"
For a second time, Isagi, Bachira —and mostly, Reo— looked at him with surprise. Former Team V's strategist was pale. They had always been together, knew each other's strengths and weaknesses, and now Nagi was tossing him apart as if he was nothing!
"Nagi?! What will happen to me?"
The white haired guy explained to Reo how he had learned from him and the power they had when they were together, but even so, they couldn't win in the end.
"In order to understand this frustration, I want to play soccer with this guy"
Isagi had a difficult decision. He had hoped to team up with Kunigami if he had the chance, but he didn't know who would come first: Kunigami or Chigiri. And now, one of the most powerful players wanted to team up with him.
I miss Kunigami! I want to spend more time with him!
But, at the same time, his monster-like side looked greedily at Nagi.
I also want to play with this genius…
Well, this was Blue Lock.
"Come, Nagi"
Reo knew Blue Lock wasn't the best place to keep a friendship alive. However, he hoped that Nagi would be by his side most of the time. He bought him everything he wanted!
His gem really changed after their loss against Team Z. That night, Nagi asked to be on top for the first time. Reo wanted to know that side of Nagi from a long time ago, but didn't know how to convince him, so he was a bit shocked.
"Please, just don't take your frustrations on me while having sex"
"Don't worry, I wouldn't. It's just that I have this urge to do something, to take action…"
"If so, it's OK"
Reo prepared himself and gave some instructions to his partner before the act. And it was really good, because of Nagi's intuition. It was like he knew where to touch, caress and tease. He stared into Reo's purple eyes all the time, until the latter one had to cover up his face.
"What are you doing, Reo?"
"You're staring at me too intensely"
"Oh, sorry. You looked so sexy… boss"
Reo moved his hands away to look at Nagi, who had a faint smile on his lips. Wow, Nagi's smiling! His proactive side is the best!
Usually, Reo felt powerful when someone as talented as his gem called him 'boss'. Now it was different: he was under Nagi's control. The white haired guy could do anything to him if he wanted, but only gave him pleasure. It was another way to be a 'boss' and it felt awesome.
Mikage wanted to explore and enjoy more of his friend's new side. However, Isagi was a bigger obstacle than he imagined —a homewrecker!
What could he have done to keep Nagi by his side? Was there something? Although he didn't want to admit it, the former Team Z's scorer had something special. If not, Nagi would never have distanced himself from his 'boss' like now.
"Do whatever you want" Reo said, finally.
Why is it so easy for him, while it's so difficult for me? He thought after his friend walked towards the third stage door.
While they walked through the tunnel that would take them to the next stage, Bachira started to chat with Nagi. His inner monster told him that his new teammate was a monster himself, so he was interesting. Not more than Isagi, of course.
"Reo looked a bit sad over there… Don't tell me you're actually cold-hearted?"
"I'd be lying if I said I'm not feeling lonely without him, but this side seemed more exciting. Following my 'ego' is the correct way, right?"
That wasn't his only reason.
Nagi looked askance at Isagi. Even though he was shorter and slimmer than Reo, something in his aura made him look stronger. His eyes were impenetrable, but he seemed kind.
I want him. A second later, the white haired striker blinked, confused. This is the first time I've thought of someone like this.
"Well, we are the strongest, aren't we?" Bachira said, smiling.
Soon, they would have to face a superior rival.
