Chapter 9: In Deep Laugh
On the highway, a bus crashes into a gas station, the fire going haywire, as the people scream for their lives until they see a purple rope tying up the front is dog alien, Sic' em, grabs the rope and pulls the people away from the fire. The fire is about to touch a car pack of family, but the metal-armored girl, Willow, pushes them away. An icy wind blew through the fire, making them go away, Amity at the corner, with her book. Then sees loads of people coming out of the bus, and the car is a man.
"Well, that's caused us some late out," Amity said seeing the gang come to her.
"Amity looked closer," Luz shouted smiling at the scene.
Amity looked at it and saw a female and two girls come out, hugging the man, and a family.
Willow crossed her arms. "Should look better Blight we just saved a bus and a family this counting as a victory,"
"You bet, thus the victory of getting ice cream!" Gus shouted as he and King five each other of that idea.
RV traveling through the highway once again, the gang simply hanging out while Eda driving. On a kitchen table, Luz simply focused on her energy, Amity reading her book, and even Willow focused her absorbing make until all saw a spider dropping on her, making them scream and drop to the ground, King laughed holding a stick with a string that connects to a plastic spider.
"King!" The girls shouted at the laughing creature.
"Got ya!" King shouted seeing Gus on his bed, video chanting right now. "One more."
Gus video chats with his parents and his grandmother. "Yeah, Mom, I eat enough,"
"You sleep enough...you make sure brush your teeth, hope clean every day-" Martha said worriedly.
"Honey!" Perry calmed down his wife and smiled at his son. "Son, we saw your pictures, proud of you for having a good time with them,"
"And making friends, always remember...friendship comes from anywhere," Mama D said
"I understand that part especially," Gus said with a smile, unknown that his sleeve was revealing his watch.
"Son, is that watch?" Perry asked to see the watch differently.
"Oh, this? I kind of won some games in the fair, it's my watch now," Gus said hoping that was good enough.
"Well that's good, be sure no one steals it from you, keep it hidden," Mama D states
"If they tried just hit them in the arm-" Martha said stopping by the spider on the screen. "WHOA!" She raises her fist but Perry stops her.
Only Martha jumped in scared of the spider, Gus glared a little to King who chuckled. "I need to go, we going some fun place, gonna keep in touch as promised,"
"O-Okay, bye sweetie," Martha said still shaken up.
"See you soon son, be stay safe," Perry responds hugging Martha.
"And have fun," Mama D added as the screen video was over.
Gus closed his laptop and glared at King who laughing. "King, you almost made my mom break the screen!"
"Oh, but it's worth it, HA!" King shouted showing Gus the spider again.
Gus is unfazed. "Sorry King, that won't scare me,"
"Hey guys I wanna see show this!" Luz shouted excitedly to the screen. "Zombozo's Travelling Circus of Laughs!"
All of them take a look at Luz's phone of a creepy clown man with a smile, they are interested in it but Gus...once sees the screen he screams in panic, and he covers himself with his blanket.
"Gus?" Luz asked in confusion.
"Get him away from me!" Gus screamed while in the covered.
Each one was confused about why Gus acting this way until King spoke with a smirk tone. "Gus Porter...you scared of clowns?"
Gus released his head with a glare. "Okay fine, I scared of clowns...it's not my fault, it's the curse!"
Now more confused about what he just said, Amity spoke in deadpan. "Curse?"
Gus sighed, he looked up and spoke. "It began long before I was even born,"
Flashback...
In the carnival, a man dressed in a suit with a hat seems to be exploring the place.
"His name is Nicholas D. Porter, he's my great great great grandfather, who came to a carnival, simply just gonna look around, have a one peaceful day until..."
Nicholas spots a crowd, he goes in it, and then curtains open up a pack of creepy clowns, making crazy tricks that cause everyone to laugh, but not Nicholas he sees each clown having sharp creepy yellow teeth with green glowing eyes.
"I loved you all...laughed for me..." The ring leader said showing his smile to them. "Pretty please,"
Nicholas's eyes shrink and scream. "AHHHHHHH!"
"And then just that...it began...the curse passed to Malcom D. Porter."
A man with an afro haired guy with an orange open shirt, purple pants, and white tall shoes, holding a boombox. He turned a cornered spots a fair, a clown twirling three red balls.
"Hello there!" The clown shouted to the audience.
Malcom dropped his boombox and screamed. "AHHHH!"
"Louis D. Porter..."
At the festival, a lady dresses hippie; her hairstyle is dreads, shades, a rainbow top, a blue long skirt, and wooden sandals. She simply does her sale on her beads, she smiles until spots a man wearing clown makeup.
"I take five," The man state
Louis screamed in panic. "AHHHHH!"
"My grandpa..."
A grown-toned man in the army, finishing his training, goes to his parking lot to his car, drives through the road then spots a restaurant for a meal, which happens to be a statue clown holding a plate of fries, soda, and a burger.
"The opening of King Clown, where the kingdom of the happy meal," the clown spoke
The only thing the man is fear. "AHHHHH!"
"My dad..."
Perry in a black suit with a blue tie, left the school dance with Martha, both smiled after their fun, and walked to the hill. "W-well...Marie, I have fun, h-how about you?"
Martha wore a red dress with a split open on the sides, brown stockings, black heels, has a red headband. "Yeah, thanks for bringing to me the dance, only guy to ask me out, even though I act like punk all the time,"
"W-Well, Marie...since we dance, no problem...can I...no we...you know," Perry said nervously of asking 'that' question
Martha smirked leaned in and closed her eyes, Perry smiled, and he leaned in, both about lip to lip until someone came out of the bush with a clown mask.
"BOO!" The clown-masked man shouted
Perry screams. "AHHH!" Fell on the ground.
The man takes off the mask revealing to be bowler hair type, laughing. "HA! Got you back, nice landing Pi-"
He was interrupted by a fist hit that landed on his face, sending him down the hill and landing in the lake...the one who owned the fist was Martha who was angry.
"That's what you get!" Martha shouted angrily, turning to Perry who was on the ground with a comforting smile. "You alright Perry?
"Yeah...and that's what I like about you," Perry said standing up while smiling at her. "You might be acting like punk but deep down, you always so strong those around you...so...Marie...wanna go out with me!"
Perry shouted, with all of his courage, Martha was surprised, she smiled at him and spoke. "Come here...Dweebus,"
Both of them lean once again and this time, their lips make contact.
Flashback Ends...
"Even me...that's the history of Porter's curse," Gus said looking at them surprised. "Yeah, I know, the curse drove my parents together."
"Oh, Gus the last part is so romantic!" Luz shouted holding her tears and so did Willow.
"Never know that curse it's heavy," King responded
"Wow...the curse is super weird," Amity stated shaking her head.
"Weird? That clown almost took my great great great grandfather's soul, how do you even think it's stupid...you, Eda, and Luz are witches!" Gus shouted
"Yeah, but we don't place curses something that idiotic," Eda said looking in the sign. "Alright gang, we are coming here, hope to enjoy a day in this town,"
Gus sighs goes to the window and pouts, he looks up and sees a big hill with loads of spikes at the bottom, someone riding it down. "The guy is dead man on that drop," He spots a sign on the highway and spoke the town name. "Mellowbrook,"
All of them go to the gas station called Food 'n' Fix, where the RV is, Eda simply puts gas in it while chatting with some guy with an orange beanie.
"Here's the cash, Wade," Eda responds placing a cash.
"Thanks, cool lady, I make sure to get loads of Cheetah Chugs," Wade responded with a smirk.
In the store, the others seemed to be trying to find a snack, and each one grabbed it, as Gus grabbed the last of the green and black leopard can...all of them went to the cashier, and placed their money on the counter.
"Are you sure grabbed that kind of soda," Amity asked little dangerous to drink.
"Come on, it says kids can drink, helps get you to feel like a real cheetah, last one of the store," Gus said looking at it.
"Fine, if you go all crazy, we lock you up in the bubble," Luz replied as they went to the RV.
"Is that...the last one of the store?"
Gus turns to a girl his age, she has pale skin, a red-haired form braided but also into a ponytail, and black paint on her cheeks. She wears a black tight top, a jean skirt, and black shoes with black and white long socks. "Huh yeah, just bought it, kind of sold out of it,"
The girl glared while looking down. "Man, I told him to come sooner, but now my favorite drink is gone,"
Gus turned about to leave with the gang but looked at the drink and what he had said, he thought he was not ready for this. "You know what...here,"
The boy turns back to see the girl who touches her hair until stops, seeing him hand the soda. "W-What?"
Gus goes to her. "You can have it,"
The girl grabbed it, looked up, and was suspicious. "You not pulling me are you?"
Gus only smiled. "No, I realized not ready for this type of drink, on the other hand needed the energy...so take it, got a name?"
She still got the suspicious look only answered. "Freya, Freya Tibbles,"
"Well name Augustus D. Porter...my friends called me Gus," Gus introduced said raising his hand.
Freya looked at the hand, and simply walked away, Gus confused but he only shrugged, begin Gus placed his skateboard down and began to ride it until one of the wheels broke off thus making the boy drop off while the board went on the road, then suddenly some black car comes in, and Gus's skateboard gets run over breaking it, making it half. Coming out are three teens a green hair with buck tooth, brown hair with 3D glasses, and out of the driver seat is a teen with a black mohawk.
"Dang, Brad, your car is sweet!"
"Thanks, Horace, Pantsy, tomorrow, I gonna show this baby to pack of kinds of honey at the carnival, rumor total kissing booth of hottest school girls are there!" Brad said with a laugh, fist pump, and shouted. "Yeah, Brad!"
"Hey," Gus shouted angrily three looked at him, and the boy held up his broken skateboard. "You broke my board,"
Brad only smiled cruelly. "Sorry Dweeb, you shouldn't have left on the road,"
"I saw you focusing on it!" Gus shouted held back by Luz.
"We even heard you three shouting of break the board!" Willow shouts angrily
"Sorry babes you got no proof, so see ya! Hey Wade, we need some refreshments," Brad shouted as he went inside with his gang.
"Sorry gang, duty calls," Wade said walking to the store.
Gus looked at the broken board. "Well...it's five years old, guess time to get a new one,"
Amity pats Gus's shoulder. "I'm sure the town got a skate shop here,"
Gus looked at his broken board again with anger. "Sure, but still...that jerk and the goons break it like it a joked like they do all the time!"
"He's right..."
They see a white and red blur come in, making each feel the heavy wind, the blur stops revealing a kid one year older than Gus's age, who has tan skin, black eyes, having brown hair revealing through his white helmet with a big red strap with dark blue stars on the sides. He wearing a white jumpsuit with a single red stripe on each arm, has yellow boots and gloves, a red belt with a white buckle, having a blue star inside. Standing on a blue skateboard.
"Ever since got that car, Brad has done nothing but cause havoc through town, especially skaters, grabbed bikes from kids threw them on top of the hill, especially broke skateboards through that car, everyone is sick of him and that car," He said
"You sure you know him a lot about him," Luz states
"That's because Brad is my brother," They see a kid riding a bike, he has white skin and blond hair with a red trucker hat, wearing clothing consisting of a light blue t-shirt, denim shorts, white socks, and brown boots. "Hard to believe it, we can bring you to get a new board,"
"Really? Thanks, name's Gus, this Luz, Willow, Amity, King, and our caretaker Eda," Gus introduced to the gang.
"Welcome to Mellowbrook, my name is Kick Buttowski, Suburban Daredevil," The white suit kid said
"I'm Gunther Magnuson, the best friend," Blond-haired kid introduced.
In a place called Skidzeez Ride Shop, full of bikes, skateboards, loads of stuff fit for fit for playing in the streets...Gus and King walked with the Kick and Gunther inside.
"Whoa, this is cool!" Gus was amazed and looked around the place, even King liked this.
"One of the best places in town to get some wheels," Kick said with a smirk.
"What about the others?" Gunther asked the girls not there.
"Heh, the girls do their own thing as usual, got someone to help me get a new board?" Gus asked
"Oh yeah, yo Hush, Razz!" Kick shouted
A blond guy with a cap, black tank top, blue jeans, white sneakers, loads of tattoos. "Hey Kick, what going-"
Gasping from a big man, has black hair, a blue button-up, with red shirt with a shop logo, khaki pants, and white sneakers. Spotting Gus half half-broken board, he goes to it on his knees, with sadness. "What happened to it?! Don't tell me..."
Kick and Gunther nodded in agreement. "He did it again," Upper Ladder added
Hush goes to him, grabs Gus's board, exam it. "Hmm, a great old school style, you know how to pick kid, let's see what we can do,"
In a dark place, someone comes in, happens to be Freya who drinking soda with a bored look, she unties her ponytail, lets go of her hair, she stretches her neck, and then her hair begins to move on her own...helps brings her to the sky, begin brings her to switch as she shouts. "Why are you guys working in the dark?!"
She uses one of her hair tangles to switch on the lights, and shows the place, having a few clowns working on setting up, while four clowns working on a big machine.
"Hey girl, turn it off, wanna people see what we doing?!" spoke the clown, who happened to be Zombozo, glaring at her.
"We in our large tent, no security, we fine," Freya said in annoyance.
"Frightwig!" Spoke in an angry tone.
Freya groans, seeing something coming to her in fours, once made it to her, stands up on two feet...revealing to a short pig man, he has yellowish-beige skin. He has large, pointed, outward-facing ears with large lobes, a small pink snout, thin black eyebrows, and a pointed mouth with two small tusks. He has small, pupilless blue eyes with white sclerae. His cheeks and chin are large and pudgy, obscuring his neck. He has a small patch of dark hair on the very back of his head, extending from his scalp down to the middle back, which is entirely invisible from the front. He wears an orchid vest with two pockets on either side and a single gold button on the front (as well as two on the back), over a white dress shirt with small gold cufflinks on the top hems of either sleeve. On the shirt, he wears a small blue bow, although it is partially obscured by his chin. His hair is tied back with a small blue ribbon.
"Old man, how many times tell you it was just a stage name, called me Freya!" Freya shouted angrily
"Girl, you can't go out alone...until we do our show, and it's Ring Leader Tibbles!" He shouted
"It is called exploring the place, I least spent my time going out there, enjoying it, not always wanna stay in here like a shut-in!" Freya shouted angrily
"Frightwig, this is a circus...means you belong here...so go out and train yourself until tonight, NOW!" Tibbles shouted angrily
Freya growled, crushing the soda can, she hit Tibbles's head with the can and leaves. "It's Freya!"
Freya leaves the tent, and the clown with the ugly mouth, Acid Breath speaks. "Geez someone needs to chill,"
A muscular man with a thumb for a head, ThumbSkull. "She knew here, after discovering her powers, she ran away to live with us, now, she being rebelled phased,"
"Yeah discovered," Tibbles said muttering that word. "Now, let's hurry up the machine almost nighttime,"
The girls seem to be hanging out in the park, all three chanting while sitting on the bench. "So...what do you think of the book I give you,"
Amity shrugged it off. "It's okay I guess,"
Willow sneaky pulls out a paper with a smirk. "Okay that you draw yourself with a guy character?"
Amity blushes, she taps it as its pink flame throughout the paper turns into ashes, crosses her arms, and speaks. "W-Well, what do you think of a book I give you,"
"Romantic type, can't believe Samantha betrayed Nicholas, he's perfect for her," Luz shouted looking at the third member. "So what you think Willow?"
"Not much of a romantic girl, but loved the whole battle got me interested," Willow said thinking about what she mind. "So what about your powers Blight, I learned used mine from my dads, how do you know about magic, your parents?"
Amity only laughed. "Please, my parents be furious with me even thinking of that...my siblings learn a thing or two, but learn all of this from my uncle,"
Both surprised at that answer, Luz spoke. "Your uncle?"
"He taught me a lot of magic, even giving me this book for my tenth birthday, he's living on his own, came to buy time after time, he's making sure be a proud uncle can be until my parents make him stop visiting..." Amity answered crossed her arms and looked down. "I never forgive them for that,"
They felt her sadness, Luz pat Amity's shoulder with a smile. "It's okay Amity, your uncle sounded like a cool guy, how about next trip we go visiting him,"
That makes her smile and turn to her. "Thanks Luz...I needed that,"
Willow sees this happening, getting an eyebrow. 'Oh...this gets interesting,' Then she gets a text. "Oh I got a text, we going to the shack,"
Unaware of them, someone is watching them, a lady with long brown hair, brown eyes, and tan skin, watching from the rooftop, wearing a trench coat and boots.
"It's Alya, I see three good for the machine," She said on the walkie-talkie.
"Good CreepWing, be sure to come back without anyone spotting you,"
Alya rolls her eyes. "Geez Freya right, they do take this circus names seriously,"
At the restaurant, called Battle Snax, the gang sits at a table in a Viking-style restaurant, serving a large baked turkey, potato, salad, and many side meals.
"Hey, this is my kind of restaurant," King whispered, sitting on Gus's lap.
"Vikings, so rare restaurant," Eda stated with a nod.
"Yup, Gunther's family business, Battle Snax is one of our best places," Kick said eating his stew.
"You say it!" Gunther shouted eating his drumstick.
Everyone eating their food, each one of them enjoying their meals, chatting during the day, and even planning for tomorrow.
"So we go to the circus?" Luz asked making Gus jump a little.
"Well for tomorrow, be sure you kids gonna enjoy the long night," Eda answered
Willow pat Gus's shoulder. "You can go play games, Gus, we just enjoy the show,"
"Alright, we can go there, hope it is fun," Gus said feeling a bit uneasy.
King eats his ham. "It's okay Gus, I'm sure you gonna have a blast,"
"Yeah...feel least don't make my heart stop," Gus muttered
At the circus, everyone practices their routine and begins to separate to do their own thing, Freya simply travels by using her hair while listening to her music pod...then hears a voice.
"Frightwig!"
Freya rolls her eyes at the pig man's voice, she travels to Tibbles who crosses his arms and glares at her. "Yeah, old man..."
"You were twenty minutes late!" Tibbles shouted
Freya simply spoke. "Was helping Alya set up the seats, there were many just one bird lady,"
"Looked, I know you are new to this but you need to know that this is everything we built for, this is why being a circus family..." Tibbles answered
"Family, like a family, that One Eye Jack got caught and we took off without him?" Freya asked with a glare.
Tibbles shook and tried to find the answer. "Yeah well, he's kind of pathetic, his only do is nosing up a ball,"
Freya leans in fast and shouts. "You the one who gives him the act!"
"Just go to your tent and get some rest Frightwig, you got a big day ahead of us," Tibble said
Freya simply leaves the tent, Tibbles glares at her and walks away, someone is watching them from the top with a suspicious look.
At night time, in the cul-de-sac, the good folk of Kick let them stay until tomorrow, they at the backyard where they have a barbecue...the gang having fun; Eda is busy relaxing on a sun chair, Amity is busy reading a book, Willow petting King, while she, Luz, Gunther watching Gus and Kick skateboarding on the ramp, Kick doing stunts in the air while Gus doing simple moves since still the beginner.
Gus landed on the back, shaken up a little, Kick landed grabbed his board, and spoke. "How's the new board G-Man?"
Gus's skateboard is black, the back is light blue with dark blue spikes, with an own...chameleon symbol. "Yeah, thanks man, really appreciated,"
"No problem, why chameleon? Can be a lion, tiger, cheetah, or even an eagle-like mine?" Kick asked to show him the black eagle symbol.
"That's always picked for their symbols, the chameleon...it's fit for me," Gus answered as both dropped to the ground.
"Heh, your choice man," Kick said as they went to the picnic table.
They sitting, the boy sits next to a girl who bit shorter than him, her figure is bit slim figure, she has blonde hair, her bangs are curled away, with her hair is pulled into a puffed ponytail. She has noticeable blue eyes and a small nose. She is seen with a small crown on her head, and she also wears pearl earrings. She wearing a pink shirt over a purple jacket, blue jeans, and pink boots. She gritted her teeth, trying to focus on some lipstick tube.
"You okay?" Gus asked little confused.
"I'm fine, just needed to get this stupid tube to glow, but won't work...I put in full charge battered!" She shouted in anger, about hitting on the table.
"It's that Teena Sometimes' Laser Lipstick, used to cut the rope, the episode of her finally taking down Dr. Jackal?" Gus asked
She stopped and turned to him with surprise. "You know...Teena Sometimes?"
"Luz and I watched it when we were little when came to visit, her turn picked a show... time has passed, and she moved to become an Azura fan, I watch it from time to time," Gus answered looking at it. "I even know Teena's mentor of becoming a spy, say was her father but it's her grandfather, who taught her everything at Sweet Canyon."
"No way...no one knows except very few people," Brianna impressed
Gus looked at the lipstick and was puzzled. "Maybe the wire is a little off, may I?"
Brianna gave him the tube, and he slowly opened it, seeing the whole at least three tangles, he slowly made each wire straight, and once he finished, he closed it, and handed it to the owner.
"Tried it," Gus said with a smile.
Brianna grabbed it, she flicked the switch thus a pink light making her smile. "Wow, thanks..." Turn to him with a smile. "You cool in my book,"
"Alright gang," Kick's father, Herald, came in with a plate full of food. "The food is ready,"
And Kick's mother, Honey, holding a jar of lemon. "Also made fresh lemonade,"
Everyone began to sit down and was about to eat when until heard the same laughter.
"Oh no, not him..." Gus groaned
Brad came in with a slushy. "Ha, that kid with the bike, got funny sad looks, so what's for dinner-" He spots the same people met before. "What are they doing here?"
Honey stood up and glared. "They here for a night, but you...young man...in a lot of trouble," Bard confused until she spoke. "Did you break this young man's board?"
"Hey it's on the road," Bard pointed out
"Bradly, how many times we have told you to stop running over people's stuff, remember you ran over someone's bike happened to an Olympic tracker and his bike is worth thousands of dollars!" Herald shouted
"We give you that car for one purpose...make sure go places not destroy anyone's stuff!" Honey shouted
"Please it's just get a new one in run out shop," Brad annoyance.
"Fine, it's just that...you grounded until further notice," Honey said in a simple tone.
"What Mom, you can't...tomorrow is a carnival, I gonna impress the girls with my car!" Brad shouted
"Until you learn your crime, you get your time." Herald state
Brad glared, he went to the backdoor and went inside by slamming the door, everyone simply looked at the teen with a question.
"Sorry, just don't know what to do with that boy," Honey said
Eda muttered. "There's only boot camp,"
In mid-morning everyone is asleep, Gus wakes up first due to hearing something outside, he spots Kick coming out of the house with his board and Gunther, he opens the window and speaks in a whisper. "What are you guys doing?"
Gunther heard the voice and turned to see Gus. "Oh morning Gus, we going to our secret spot, you can come if you want?"
"I don't know...they say we work up, go to the carnival open," Gus responded remembering the clown, making the shivering. "Okay, let me put on my clothing,"
All three of them begin to take off and travel through the place, Gus tries to take an easy while traveling until came across the giant steep hill making Gus jump and see how high are he.
"You scared?" Kick asked with a smirk.
"Yes, I don't have my safety brace on me!" Gus shouted don't know how Kick can do the stunts without any gear on.
"You can do it too, you just need to find your inner determination...your flame," Kick states making a strong tighten.
'I get it used my hoverboard,' Gus thought looking down in confusion. He takes a deep breath and goes down, he gets faster until feeling heart bumping...but the drilling...excitement... gets the whole fire up...he gets stance and rides down, shouting. "WHOO-OOH!"
Kick rode down to him and looked at Gus. "Follow me..."
Both ride down fast, while Gunther follows them with his scooter. "They grew up so fast."
Kick jumped down, rode it down a pipe, and landed on a concrete. "First, you guys?"
Gus came in not realizing that it was that deep, so he landed on a mud pile, and his board got stuck in it. "WHOO!"
Finally, Gunther came into the place, taking the stairs. "Nice to see the place still intact,
Kick looked at the newest one here. "Gus...welcome...to the Gully,"
Gus sees the Gully; is an unfinished bridge, inside is a couch, loads of posters of stunt stars, a big ramp, large metal pipes, a worn-out couch, an old soda machine, and a vending machine, including an oven. "Whoa, this place is great, you guys made this place?"
"Yeah, the whole place to chill and hang out here time after time." Kick states as he begins riding the ramp.
"Gus grabbed his board, walked to the inside, and circled while walking through the place. "Man, this is amazing,"
"Thanks, you got any place to hang out in your hometown?" Gunther asked baking in his oven.
Gus sitting on the couch, cleaning the mud off his board. "Well, me, Luz, and Willow usually go to a place in the woods, it's an old house, they say it's hunted but to us, it's the perfect place to get away from problems." Finished cleaning his board, and looked at it. "But now, it's blind old memory place,"
"You can't abandon that place!" Kick shouted grabbed the edge, and looked at the boy. "You need to know that things can't be replaced, we treasure this Gully with our lives, we defend it and make history here,"
"Yeah, once a place that you declared a hangout, never be forgotten," Gunther states pulling out a pack of muffins and bottles of orange juice. "Breakfast here...Gully Muffins and orange juice."
All of them grabbed their muffins and ate them, Gus smiled at how it tasted. "Hmm...this is good, what's in it?"
Gunther is about to say it but Kick stops him. "Let's just say it's part of the Gully," and looked at Gus. "Alright, let me teach you some of my moves,"
At the time, everyone waking up, well Willow sees Gus nowhere in sight, until sees a text she sighs. "He hanging out with Kick and Gunther,"
"Again, that kid needs to know to wait for us," Amity states
"Hey take easy on him, for all the time, we only ones that hang out with him," Luz responds with a smile.
"It's true, before us, he was just a small little boy in high school, a lot of kids take advantage of him to do their homework and projects...we saved him, now he meeting those throughout the state each time," Willow states
"That's good girls, now girls get ready 'cause you three and King got a place to have fun," Eda said as she stretched her back.
"What are you gonna do?" Luz asked seeing Eda frowning the whole time.
"Going meet someone," Eda answered
Travel through the streets near town is the carnival, Gus, Kick, and Gunther, all three keep on going until spotted a carnival and stop at the entrance...only the boy shakes a little and spots a clown poster...the same poster from the phone.
"G-Man!" Kick shouted patting Gus's shoulder to snap him out of it. "Remember what I say,"
"Right right," Gus nodded as seeing the RV and the car. "Here they are,"
Everyone came in Luz, Willow, Amity, King, Herald, Honey, and Brianna, seeing the place. "Gus there you are,"
"Next time, be sure we know before going off..." Amity states crossed her arms.
"My bad, well let's have our fun," Gus said going inside.
Gunther walked in with King. "I hoped got funnel cake!"
Each one goes inside but Eda drives off the place, unaware of them, the same black car appears in the far back, comes out is Brad and his goons.
"I thought you grounded Brad," Pansy added
"As if losing the babes of this day!" Brad shouted spotting a line of dirt bikes, he and his goons kicked them making all of them fall like dominos. "Ha! Yeah, Brad!"
"Our bikes!"
All three froze and turned to see a similar group see what happened, a big one came to him. "Why do you trash our wheels?"
"I-I sorry, I thought it for," Brad said grabbed by the shirt's collar and so did others.
"Maybe we trashed you...by throwing you and your friends' with rotten tomatoes!" The leader shouted
Brad and his friends are pale as their skin. "NOOOOO!"
Eda parks the RV far away from the place...happens to be an open park. "Hooty, just wait in the end..."
Hooty came out, his circle showed his sad look. "Eda,"
Eda looked at him dead seriously, Hooty nodded, went back inside, and drove off, the Owl Lady went to the open park, saw a picnic table, she sat down face-to-face with the lady.
The lady same height as Eda, has pale white skin, dark navy blue hair that reaches to her back, and bangs, light blue eyes, dark blue lipstick. Wearing a black suit with a matching skirt reaching to her thighs, light brown stockings, and black heels.
"Hello...sister." She said with a serious look.
Eda glared at her. "Lilith..."
Gus is alarmed by this, he sitting with others, in the circus place. "W-What am I here?"
"Gus...it's time for you to know this place isn't scary," Luz said sees the lights came on. "It's starting..."
A spotlight suddenly shines on a circus barker on a pedestal, shouting to the crowd. Tibbles. "Step rrrrright up and see! The fingerless freak of nature, whose strength knows no bounds! THUMBSKULL!" He gestures to a big burly man with white skin and a giant "fingernail" on his forehead.
Thumbskull steps forward with a metal rod and bends it on his head. The crowd is stunned, he tosses the bent bar in the air and something red catches it. Everyone is shocked to see what is happening, especially Gus.
Tibbles shouted to another act. "...And presenting, FRIGHTWIG! When this beauty lets down her hair, no telling what could happen!"
Freya, who now has white makeup on her face, wearing a black tight-fitting jumpsuit with yellow stripes on the arms. Her hair...her long red locks of hair, are moving and twisting at her command. Her hair coils the metal rod into a pretzel and places it aside on a pedestal.
Tibbles pointed to the right. "...And the freak whose unique skill is as vile as his attitude! ACID BREATH!" A pale starved man steps forward, wearing a mouth guard. He takes it off and exhales, his visible green breath completely melting the rod AND the pedestal with it.
"That's just nasty..." Amity mutters
"Totally...who will pick acid as an act?!" Willow question
Tibbles pointed to the sky. "The lady soared to the sky, making each of your jaws drop at seeing her...meet CREEPWING!"
They see a light spot a lady named Alya, wearing a black leotard and long thigh boots, the only difference from her arms is brown wings, and her legs are claws. She flew through the clouds, letting out strange sparkles through the crowd.
"Now in an hour, the whole people will entertain you until certain, one comes...A Zombozo!" Tibbles shouted
"Gus...I know you are scared, but trust me...once you conquer it, you be" Luz said turning to see Gus nowhere to be sight. "Gus..."
Gus runs off, he looks back and is saddened. "Sorry Luz...There is nothing funny about clowns!"
Gus going through the carnival little creepy for it but one thing is for sure...it's kind of fun, checking out each stand...
"Mind telling me why I doing this again April?"
He spots a total of ten girls on a stand, each one chatting while talking a girl with one, is blonde, tall, has black eyes, wears a red button-sleeve shirt, a black short skirt, black sandals, and white and purple sunglasses.
The girl who talking to her, has apricot skin, red lipstick, black eyeliner, long, brown hair, and generally wears a blue sleeveless dress, a black belt, a black choker, and black gloves with silver bracelets on them, and high heel black boots.
April taps her chin. "Hmm I don't know Shannon...," she then glared deeply at her. "Maybe because you threw out all of our uniforms, pom poms, and equipment in the trash!"
"Hey, should know never put stuff in a black trash bag," Shannon argue
April shouted at her. "It was laundry day...so order don't put in our permanent record, coach let us gather up enough money to pay all of this stuff at the end of the week...we are on the last day and only halfway there," Last says in relief. "This kissing booth might help finish tonight."
"I hope so..." Spoke a female teen with white skin, black hair, blue eyes, and red lipstick. Wearing a purple sleeve shirt, white shirt, white shorts, black sandals. Then smell something awful. "Argh what's that smell,"

Each girl was alarmed, to see Brad in his goons coming to them, all of them were washed up, thought of trying to wash the stains but didn't go as well as planned.
"Brad," Winced spoke a girl with long brown hair, green eyes, and light brown skin. Wearing a blue-collar shirt, jeans cuff shorts, and blue shoes.
"Hey Lisa Bancroft," Brad responds placing his hands. "Well since kissing booth, let's start bucker up,"
"Argh no way, everyone knows you got no cash on you," April said
"Heh, guess again...I least ten bucks, yeah Brad!" Brad shouted in victory.
Each one is scared one of them has to kiss a dirty and stinky guy who tries to flirt with all of them each time at school until a certain boy comes in.
"I think it's a problem," Gus states with a smirk.
Everyone turns to him and walks towards them, Brad. "The Dweeb, what are you talking about?"
"It seems the kissing booth charges twenty, and you only got ten," Gus said looking at him. "Either you miscounted, or just needed to get back to preschool since you and goons stink like a diaper."
The girls laughed and giggled at Gus's joke, but three teens glared at him, Brad gritting his teeth, grabbed the trash can. "Maybe knows your place, by throwing this at you!"
Brad throws the trash can at Gus who quickly ducks down, the trashcan hits a pack in a burger stand, who happens to be the same biker gang...turns around glaring deeply at Brad. "Know my place huh?"
"N-No...I didn't mean throw it-" Brad said only to see the biker and his group stand up. "AHHHH!"
Brad and his friends run off, as the biker gang runs after him, Gus and the girls laugh. "Thanks for the save, kid..." April said
"No problem, names Gus by the way," Gus introduces. "I know your April, tan girl is Shannon, black-haired is Kelly, and last Lisa..."
"Names Valerie," spoke a girl with blonde hair, blue eyes, and white skin. Wears a dark blue shirt, brown khaki, and blue sandals.
"Kali...her sister." spoke a girl who looked the same but with hair in a ponytail with a blue ribbon, wearing a yellow blouse, blue jeans, and white shoes.
"Danielle the name," introduced by a girl with dark brown skin, brown eyes, yellow large earrings, and dark brown hair. Wearing a brown sweatshirt, ripped jeans, and black shoes.
"Porchia, little man," A girl with light tan skin, orange hair with a blue ribbon on top, and green eyes. Wears a white collar shirt, blue tight jeans, and black short heels.
"Michael," a short black-haired girl covered one of her hair, dark green eyes, and white skin. Wears red shirt, blue jean skirt, and brown shoes.
"And name Sara," A bob-cut red hair girl with black eyes, and white skin. dark green tank top, ripped jeans, and black sandals.
"Nice to meet you all, I hope you girls get to your goal, see ya later," Gus said walking off.
"He's so adorable," Kali said with her hands on her face, gleefully.
"Easy Kali, he's kid, don't startle him," Valerie replied
"That kid sure way help us," Lisa added looking at her friends.
"He seems cool, like Kick," April states
Kelly grimaces at that name. "Don't bring him up. Let's go see the show for some relaxing,"
Gus walks through the carnival, he thinks about what to play until he spots something interesting, like a big place having a TV crew there, people surrounding even them, then spots Kick, Gunther, Herald, Honey, and Brianna.
"Hey guys, what's doing?" Gus asked to go to them.
"Heh, just a little game show of brainiacs," Kick answered in annoyance.
"I've seen it, it goes through places, and shows who is smart enough to beat the other two players and win the prizes," Gunther said with a smile.
"The prizes are so amazing, really worth it!" Brianna shouted in excitement.
"Come on, everyone, we have two kids joining us, who be the last one to be on TV!" the speaker shouted two blondes sitting on a chair with a buzz button table.
Everyone is to look at each other, no one smart of the two youngest of town, until Gus came in making everyone look at him. "Can I join in?"
"Yes, thank you...finally someone is the third one of the contestants," the speaker said in relief making Gus sit next to other opponents. "Welcome to What's the Answer, the lucky pickers is sitting with us...first is Kendall Perkins,"
A girl with tan skin, black eyes, and long blond hair on her head, she wears a pink headband. Her attire consists of a pink and green argyle sweater which she wears over a white shirt with thin blue stripes, a dark grey skirt with white knee-high socks, and a pair of very shiny black shoes. "This gonna be easy,"

has blond hair, wears glasses, and has a big head to show that he's smart. He tries to look cool by wearing a red and yellow hoodie (similar to Kick's jumpsuit), and black jeans with red boots. "The third one looks like squirt..."
Gus mutters. "I right here you know..." Sees the speaker and goes to him.
"And...what's your name son?" The speaker asked
"Augustus D. Porter people called me Gus..." Gus introduce
"The last one Augustus D. Porter...let's rule, who signs each question Science, History, Math, and Social Study... total twenty questions, whoever questions first wins, prizes is total of three you can pick. Let's do this..."
Back to the big tent, the acts of the group now leaving the place. Tibbles introduces the crowd to the act. "Ringmaster Ladies and gentlemen! Children of all ages! The Circus of Laughter is proud to present: "The Sultan of Smiles"! "The Crown Prince of Chuckles"! "The Grim Tickler" himself, the star of our circus! ZOMBOZO THE CLOWN!"
A small clown car speeds into the center of the floor, and a giant-seeming Zombozo emerges to the sound of a triumphant cymbal crash. Everyone in the bleachers is already laughing. The car suddenly speeds to the other side of the floor with a mind of its own, facing Zombozo and revving its engine, "challenging" him.
Zombozo beckons it with his hand and pulls out a red toreador cape. The car charges like a bull, but disappears into confetti the moment it passes the cape. The crowd cheers. The clown looked at the audience and spoke. "If you love clowns, then this is the place ta' be! You're gonna die laughing..."
Behind him in the tent stands a gigantic machine, with ports ominously glowing blue. Zombozo raises hands to the sky making everyone laugh harder. "...That's a "Zombozo Guarantee!" Seeing many laughter much of his joy, his creepy smile grew bigger. "I was never very good at math, but I believe I have your undivided attention! Now...how about some volunteers?" The entire crowd is laughing, especially certain group. "Ahhhh...So...full of life!" His eyes targeted certain one of the group...Luz! "-for now."
"Answer the P symbol of the atom at the lower level of the" Kendall said in a strict tone.
"Next!"
"It's a capital battle of the United States back 1812..." Ronaldo answered with a long sentence.
"NEXT!"
Gus answered in short. "The first president is George Washington..."
The game of the smart interests everyone, both Kendall and Ronaldo answered in a long one making each audience annoyed. But Gus only answered short and simply made likable to the people, he simply just wanna have fun but two blondes take things seriously.
"Wow, all tie, really amazed to three of you," The speaker said
"How did that kid get us to a tie!" Kendall shouted angrily
"He looked just a squirt who looked dumped in a toilet!" Ronaldo shouted glaring at Gus.
Gus smiled at them. "I more than meets the eye," Looked at the boxes. "I think we run out of boxes,"
"Hmm it seems that you are right Augustus, we can do sudden death, all tie, whoever answered it...wins and gets all THREE prizes!" The speaker shouted and he looked at the question. "Huh, this is odd..."
"Just go on with it!" Kendall shouted
"What's the question," Ronaldo questioned impatiently
The speaker sneaky glared at them, then spoke. "What's kind of cucumber that lives in the sea."
Both blondes were confused about what they just heard, thought to be the hardest one, and only heard a buzz, the one who answered it was Gus who simply answered. "Sea cucumber,"
"Correct, Augustus Porter wins!" The speaker shouted everyone cheers for the boy.
"What?! We are not ready...the question is ridiculous!" Kendall shouted as Ronaldo agreed with her.
"I say the answer to the question, didn't say how hard it will be," The speaker responds turning to the boy. "Now Augustus Porter, open the three prizes!"
Gus goes to the boxes, grabs the first and opens it showing a golden ticket, with four stars with a tropical tree.
"Ah...you won a luxury four-star hotel in Hawaii," The speaker said with a smile.
Kendall's eyes flinch. "H-Hawaii..."
The boy goes to the second box, he opens it, it's a blue ticket having a wave symbol. "Water park?"
"That's right, big water park...Wacky Water Wave, bring your family or friends to cool down!" The speaker shouted
"No way, that's is cool prize," Kick said and Gunther nodded.
Gus opened up the last box, and pulled out a check, having five hundred on it. "Oh..."
"The last one is five hundred dollars, it's all yours little man...thank you for enjoying this fantastic show!" The speaker shouted everyone cheers for the show.
Gus got off the stage, he looked at the prizes in his hand. "Two places and a check..."
They go as Herald smiles. "Wow, you must be excited to go to the places,"
"Yeah, I heard that water park got new rides says Teena Sometimes Aqua Land and Rock Callahan's Splash Mountain, whole lots more," Gus said making certain two people's eyes widen giving the blue ticket to Kick. "You guys can have it,"
They were alarmed by what he just said, Kick grabbed it. "Really man?"
"Yeah, close by to your place, say unlimited to friends and family, so take it," Gus answered the boy got hugged by Brianna. "Brianna?"
She looked up and smiled. "I can bring my friends there, always wanna first step on Aqua land...thank you so much,"
"Heh...no problem Brianna," Gus said with a nervous smile.
"Excuse me we wanna ask some questions..."
They turn to see loads of news reporters in front of them, focusing on Gus, wanna asked the question, but the boy backs away. "I think they want me,"
"You can go, we can block them," Kick said
Gus runs off, places his board on the ground, and takes off riding down, avoiding the loads of reporters who might tear him apart.
"You got to be kidding right?"
Just an hour before, Eda glared deeply at Lilith who looked at her with a reasonable look, after what she had told.
"Edalyn, I tried to talk to you, it time to join us...he can help you, get rid of that curse, and be more than just a lady in RV," Lilith replied
"And what, go through places, hunting down many magical creatures, prison them until they serve so-called boss of yours?" Eda's question stands up. "Sorry Lily, I don't accept your invitation..."
Lilith glared, seeing Eda begin to walk away. "I not going to stop Edalyn, I trying to help you...are you just gonna run away like always..." Eda just kept on walking. "Maybe talk to the kids, especially the one wielding a powerful device!"
Eda stopped in her tracks, Lilith realized she had spoken out again, and the Owl Lady slowly turned to her. "How do you know about me having kids...knowing about the Omnitrix," Lilith didn't say anything, and Eda's temper grew. "YOU HAVE BEEN SPYING ON ME?!"
"I just trying to let you cause any problems, especially a child, how could place the powerful watch on a child?! Only someone who wears-" Lilith said interrupting something that shocked her.
Lightning strikes just a few far from Lilith's stand, the strike hits a tree, leaving a big burnt spot, Eda who held up Owlbert, in staff form, points at Lilith, she has feathers coming out of her arms... takes a few deep breaths, the feathers fallen off.
"Lily...that is a warning shot, you don't know what we are capable of, I tell you this...if you ever tried to talk or even face them in person, I will fight you," Eda said as she flew off in her staff, going to RV.
Lilith looked up with a frown and looked down.
Gus came to town and lost the news reporters. "Whoo, maybe at least go to the store, and go back least-" He hears glass breaking nearby and quickly hides behind a car. As he peeks out from it, he sees the circus crew from before, smashing the window of a jewelry store. "Huh?!"
The whole Circus crew is robbing the whole street. Thumbskull grabs a handful of shiny bracelets, watches, and rings from the jewelry store display; Acid Breath uses his breath to melt a parked expensive car's door and roof, letting him reach in and rip a stereo right out; Frightwig advances on an ATM, putting her locks of hair through the brick wall around it and ripping the machine right out of the wall, money flying everywhere, helping her is Creepwing who used her wings to create a small wind into large bag.
"I can't believe this...all this for the circus?" Frightwig asked crossing her arms.
"I know Freya, this enough for last month, once over...we can go do a little shopping spree together," Creepwing answered making her look at her.
"Freya?!"
All turn to see Gus come out of hiding, having shocked looks. "W-What are you doing?!"
"Frightwig...you know this kid?" Creepwing asked
Frightwig has seriously looked down, a little scared. "I know him a little while..."
"He gonna tell the cops, so let me put out for good," Thumbskull said cracking his knuckles.
Gus alarmed think about transform, but Frightwig stops the muscle thumb-headed men. "No, can't do that Thumbskull," All except Gus who was relieved at her action. "Cause I got it,"
The boy widened, seeing a tentacle go to him, thus...knocking him out.
Eda came back to the carnival, seeing it was completely over...snacks, trash, pages of circus brochures fly in the wind, and boxes of popcorn and drinks are spilled on the ground. People slowly walk out of the venue stadium with light smiles on their faces. Some are still laughing sporadically. 'Creepy...'
Eda walks in seeing some people still in their chairs, and gets back to Willow with King, sitting on a step, laughing to herself.
Eda, runs to them, shaking her. "Willow! King! Get whole of yourself!"
Willow opened her eyes. " Oh hi, Eda...Hehe ah- Where'd you go?"
King whimpered. "Weh..."
Eda looked at them. "Where did I go? Where'd the circus go?!"
Willow looked around in a daze. "Oh-aha-I'm not so sure, uh...feels like...light...I remember we were laughing. Haha- it was so funny -heh!"
"I think more just laughter," Eda said looked around, and realized. "Wait where's Luz and Amity...Where's Gus?!"
On the railroad, a train riding down, Thumbskull controls it while Zombozo rides with him. Zombozo looked at him. "Didja' pack me a snack for the road?"
Thumbskull smiles and turns on the camera on the ceiling... a lot of people are sitting in one of the trains, laughing to themselves. Luz and Amity are one of them, Zombozo smiles as the train keeps on riding. Far from the fifth cart, Gus is sitting in the chair, tied up, with tape on his mouth, he was sleeping, until heard noises.
"Frightwig, you have done it now!"
Gus woke up, he looked to see Freya getting earful by Tibbles, she had an annoyed look. "What am I supposed to do Tibbles, can't just leave him there, Thumbskull about ending him!"
"That's sound good plan," Tibbles muttered
The girl is shocked at him thinking like that, even Gus who jumped in fear, both of them see Gus screaming while tape on him causing him to murmur.
"Great, he awake, better throw him out," Tibbles said stopping by Frightwig's hand.
"What so cops gonna find him, the best way that just throw him to water, you just go...don't wanna see any distrait," She said
Tibbles smiled. "Ah, I knew you come around...now get something to eat, hurry before I eat all of it," He walked out of the cart.
Gus sees Frightwig turn to him and walk toward him, the boy is scared, he tries to reach for his watch but is too far to reach...but he feels big ripped from his mouth. "YEOW!"
"Relax, it's just tape..." Freya said with a glare. "Looked as soon the train stops, I throw you out...you on your own,"
"You take orders from your dad?" Gus asked weirdly out of the small pig man is her father.
"He is not my dad!" Freya shouted shivers of thinking of that. "He just took me in when my parents kicked me out of discovered my powers!"
"How did you get your powers?" Gus asked looking at the hair moves.
"Simple...I don't know...one day in a park alone, I suddenly got knocked out, woke up in the hospital, and then...my hair moving, going haywire, messing up the living room, so just that...force me out of the street, about a week, Tibbles founded me and take me," Freya answered
'That...one of a kind story, but one thing-' Gus thought stopped by the whole place moving and by the speaker.
"Alright crew, time to unhook the machine right now...need my feast!"
Freya sighs and turns to him. "Look, I'll be back, just for a while...once it's over...I'm breaking you out," She walked out by using her hair.
Gus sees she gone, he begins to struggle to break free, he falls, and hears a 'thud'. "Ow..."
The boy spots his phone, guess didn't check him, just took his bag and board, he feels his watch, he moves a little, feels the button, and presses it making the faceplate open up. 'Please let it be something that breaks free.'
Gus slammed the watch as he changed into Strong Arms, he flexed his arms. "Oh yeah...now this what I talking about!"
His phone came on, it was his app, he grabbed it, and slowly pressed it so, as not to break his phone. "Eda...you called! I was-"
"Capture? I should know this circus is not some kind of normal...I'm coming...looked for Amity and Luz," Eda voiced from his phone.
Strong Arms nodded, he walked out only to make the train cart shake causing some furniture to fall and making him flinch...pick up a shelf only one of the drawers slipped out, making the strong four-armed alien flinch his clumsiness...until his spots caught him interested.
"Tibbles' Targets?"
Amity and Luz laughing with loads of people, in a cart, one of them felt dizzy like their own lives sucking out of them...then spots muscle man, Thumbskull look at each one until spotted one of them, he goes to them...grabbed whole of Luz.
"You the lucky picked," Thumbskulll said
"Amamamamity..." Luz laughed as holds Amity's hand this whole time.
Amity laughed, she felt their grip release, and seeing Luz taking away from her, she...felt shaking, she tightened her hand, and looked around at unfamiliar faces, the laughter, the darkness covering her. "Luhuhuhuz...whe...ar...y..." Her laughter begins to go heavy, like she suffocating, sweating, feeling heavy all suddenly, it's like she is on the run all over again, the Paladins chase after her, trying so hard to escape them...but she captures her.
"We got you Amity...no where to run," One of them spoke.
Amity shakes her head. "Nohohohoho...nohohohot...ag...again!"
"Amity..."
The girl closes her eyes, thinking it's just a nightmare...wanna wake up, from this nightmare.
"Amity..."
She shook her head furiously, she didn't wanna go back, she needed help...Eda, King, Hooty, Willow, Gus...Luz, please say-
"AMITY!"
Amity woke back up seeing Gus in front of her, he held her hands, making sure to keep her calm down. "I'm here...just breathe...slowly,"
"Gus...they...took...Luz," Amity said trying to talk but too weak.
"Saved your breath, gonna save her...wait for Eda," Gus said as he freed all the prisoners from the keys.
"No...my...book," Amity said looking at her handbag.
Gus understands what Amity saying, he opens it and grabs the book, giving it to Amity, she flips the pages, and she speaks with all her might. "Industria reditus!"
In a secret place, the machine is fully fixed, it's loads of weird energy, but something is happening that flashes pink, bursts out a familiar figure in pink energy, and phases out of the place.
"What was that?!" Tibbles questions what just happened.
"Hmm, just misfunction, but oh well..." Zombozo responded looking at one girl who lying down. "I got my meal right now,"
The energy figure, goes through the sky and goes back to Amity who feels her life force is back in her body making her awake. "Much better..."
Gus was surprised by what he just saw. "Alright, I see you wanna help,"
"Oh yes, I wanna pay back those clowns and save Luz!" Amity shouted
"Wait, I think to get more help," Gus said making her look at him. "Meantime, let's free the people,"
In an old building next to the train, the circus crew is busy moving boxes. Gus and Amity look behind them...the boy gets spooked by a big poster of Zombozo's face, knocking a box over and making a noise. Both hides looked out seeing Tibbles and a few of the circus crew counted their stolen cash.
Tibbles laughing, counted each dollar bill. "It's like taking the whole truck of candy,"
Frightwig simply looked at the phone in a bored look. "Yeah, back up, the soon the boss finishes up his old person meal, we outta here,"
"OLD?!"
All of them turn to Amity who is angry looked holding up her hand which has a pink orb. "YOU DRAW THE LINE, GIVE HER BACK!"
"A girl...how do you break free?" Acid Breath question sees Gus come out. "A kid?"
"The little brat!" Tibbles shouted
Gus blocked Amity. "Amity...calm down,"
"I won't...they took the people's life force and Luz!" Amity shouted ready to fight them on.
"I know and especially lying to someone I-" Gus responds only to get grabbed by the hair.
Gus brings to Frightwig who glares and shouts. "You really wanna die at a young age?! You know can't just spare you,"
Amity is about to blast at her but Gus shouts. "NO!" He looked dead in the eyes of Frightwig's eyes. "You...think got your powers some birth but it's one who took you in!" Everyone is shocked except for Amity, Frightwig, and even Creepwing are confused, and Gus pulls out a book from his hoodie pocket. "Here, look at this!"
Creepwing goes to them. "What's this?"
"It's nothing, they tried to mess up your head!" Tibbles shouted
"It's Tibbles's Target, everything he ever done grabbed certain people join the circus, even mess up your lives by giving you powers!" Gus shouted holding up the book to Frightwig. "Freya...please...look,"
Freya grabbed the book, and Alya looked inside from behind and the girl flipped through the pages until finds their names, they read it, but when read deeper, the hair loosened up making Gus fall to the ground. Amity helped the boy up, both females turned to the circus crew especially the ones who changed their lives.
"You...did this to me..." Freya said walking slowly to Tibbles, her hair getting fizzy.
Tibbles shaking, backed away trying to reason with the girl. "I did for you Frightwig...your life was nothing until I came along, I free from any control...you should thank me,"
"Thank you?! Let me show how grateful I am! And it's Freya!" Freya roars sending out her hair to him.
Thumbskull blocks the hair by grabbing it, making sure Tibbles is not in harm. "Girl...stop or slam it for you!"
"Good idea!" Freya shouted using her hair to lift Thumbskull to the sky and slam him to the crates.
"Girl you gonna sell us-" Acid Breath said only hit by the mouth by Alya's feathers.
"I should done that the moment destroys my phone," Alya muttered.
Gus turns to Amity who is surprised. "And you wanna fight them, they taking care of them, let's go save Luz," Both charge into the building.
Gus and Amity walk forward, to a place that seems to be an abandoned mirror maze, Amity looks around with a serious look, going to find Luz in the place, while Gus little nervous about the clown posters and gets startled by a mirror in front of him. "Ugh, great. Now you're afraid of your reflection!"
"Gus focused...Luz in here...and she our helped," Amity said accidentally pressing a button from the floor, a big mirror split them apart. "Gus!"
"I'm good...I meet you at the end," Gus called out as footsteps faded away.
Amity looked at the hall, nervous, she walked slowly into the place, she looked through the funny mirrors, making her reflection in different shapes and sizes. She felt trapped, she began to breathe heavily and held up her chest, she couldn't get another pass out...she needed to keep going, so she pulled out her book and shouted one last ounce of her magic. "Tempus per solidum!"
Amity gets a pink aura, and she becomes invisible, she runs through the mirrors until she is made out of the maze, breathing slowly of Gus's learning from him, looking around seeing no one but a machine.
"Hehheheheheh...hehehehe..."
Amity knows that laugh. "Luz?" She walked deeper until she was horrified by what she looking at. "No..."
Gus walked through the maze, trying to escape this madness. "Come...where's the exit!"
Somewhere, Zombozo seems to know; he smiles. "Hiya, son! Something tells me you'd be a barrel full of laughs!
Gus hears the clown's echoing voice and looks around. Irked, he marches forward. He doesn't see a mirror in front of him and bumps into it...in a big circle of loads of mirrors surrounding him. Suddenly, all of Gus's reflections turn into Zombozo. "Hey, Mr. Serious! How bout a...SMILE?" His mouth smiles while forming a creepy big.
Gus backs up and runs away from the reflections, who reach out to him. He runs through a sea of hands.
Zombozo speaks throughout the maze. "What's your story, little child? Was that your minty girl, that gave my freaks such frowns?"
Gus keeps on running along a coiling yellow road. Zombozo's face, mounted on a spring, pops out from it, stopping Gus who screams as he falls on the road, and begins to crawl away until sees Zombozo in a toy. "What are you?!"
Zombozo is in a Jack In The Box. "What about that turning my employees into each other?"
Gus turns and runs the other way. A second face stops him. Zombozo in another Jack In The Box. "If it weren't for you..."
The boy felt the ground shaking, looking down to see Zombozo who was now a living face floor from under him, launching him in the air by blowing up to the sky.
Zombozo in a third Jack In The Box but in a glare. "We still are a happy circus crew?"
Gus glared at him. "Happy?! You stole Freya's life, and changed her into something that she doesn't wanna to be-EEEEEHEEE!"
Gus falls into a black void, Zombozo's face, etched in fire, appears and laughs as he falls then spots something that can help. Gus catches his fall with a trapeze swing. He swings through a chomping Zombozo's face and catches a new one. The swing's ropes break, sending Gus tumbling down, landing on a human-sized spider web. He starts struggling. Suddenly, a golden spider with Zombozo's face comes crawling on the web towards Gus who screaming.
Spider Zombozo spoke with a smirk. "Come on, kid! You've gotta learn ta' loosen up! Laugh a little! What's the point of simple life?"
The spider's now reached Gus, holds a razor-sharp pincer up to Gus's neck, the boy holding his breath. Spider Zombozo said with sharp teeth. "With me...everything is yours even a whole world of happiness...It's what keeps me going!
The spider pulls back and slashes at Gus, cutting him out of the web, Gus falls, screaming, until he hits the ground. A spotlight shines on him. Gus finds himself on the center floor of the main tent, back in reality. As he starts to get up, the genuine Zombozo calmly walks up to him. Gus sees ghosts reflected in the orbs on Zombozo's body, flying up to the large one on his top hat. Inside is Luz, backlit by fire, laughing herself to death...makes the boy's eyes widen in horror to see his friend in that state.
Zombozo leans to him and simply smiles at him. "Now, don't tell me you're afraid of old Zombozo? Heh act the same man I tried to get but runs off before consuming the crowd back to fifties."
Gus realizes what he is...the boy backs away slowly. "It's you!"
Zombozo looked in confusion. "Hmm?"
"You the one who cursed my family, almost took my great great great grandfather," Gus shouted in panic, pointing to him while shaking. "What do you want?!"
Zombozo snaps his fingers and a spotlight lights up the large machine in the tent. It is filled with screaming spirits. The cable running out of the machine psionically links to Zombozo's back, lifting him in the air. "Only what every clown worth his floppy shoes wants, ta' make people laugh! Can you hear them?!" Both hear grotesque slobbering from the spirits. "THEN DRAIN THEIR POSITIVE ENERGY, LIKE A SPONGE IN A POOL PARTY! Is that so wrooong?
Gus looked at the spirits who trying to break free. "Is that the machine you use to suck the happiness out of your audience...their youth?"
Zombozo I call it the "Psyclown"! Clever, eh? Soon I'll be taking my act to the big cities. Millions of people laughing for me! Feeding me...making me stronger...making me...immortal!
Gus lifts his head, mustering up some courage he got. "I- want my friend back!
Zombozo looked at Gus with a confused look. "Friend?" He made a fake gasp. "Didn't you hear? She ran away with the circus!"
He shows him Luz. She is lying on the floor off to the side, her body drained and frail, still coughing up a few faint laughs. Amity...holding her trying to shake her out of it, even having tears coming out of her eyes.
"Luz stay with me...looked at me, looked at me!" Amity cries holding her tight.
Gus looks at her in shock, then puts his head down, shadow covering, and stands up, Zombozo looks at him. "Oh what's wrong, sad I messed up little cute girl, still scared of little Me?"
"Oh, I am scared of you..." Gus responded making Zombozo look at him with a smirk. "But...mess with my friends...my family...the people I loved..." The boy...his eyes...looking at Zombozo in pure intense anger. "I'll show no mercy..."
Zombozo looks at him for a moment...then starts laughing, but Gus cuts him off by turning on the Omnitrix.
Gus said with anger in his voice. "Oh, you're funny. But I'm gonna get the last laugh."
He didn't even slam down...simply pressed on the dial, turning into Nightfright...not even calling out its name.
Zombozo laughed and crossed his arms. "Nice try, kid. But I sell the tricks, I don't buy 'em!"
Nightfright glared deeply at him. "I just figured out, there's something I'm even more afraid of than you..."
Nightfright punches Zombozo in the face, briefly tangling him up in his machine's cable. Nightfright, somewhere, invisible he spoke in deep hatred. "Losing my family to some goofball emotional vampire! My friends...my family...is everything to me." He appears behind Zombozo and punches him square in the nose. The nose honks in slow motion, and back at regular speed making the clown send away in a few. "You're going down...clown." the last word in anger.
Zombozo is now angry. He looks around for the ghost, but when turns completely...A wooden board suddenly comes careening towards him, smacking him into his machine and causing the blue nodes to spark and explode, making the whole top send to the sky. "Souls" come flying out of the machine; one of them flies into Luz, and the rest is released in a wave across the sky, returning all the drooling townspeople outside back to normal.
Zombozo getting up, voice breaking, he shouted in nervousness. "I-I'm warning you to back off!
Nightfright appeared in front of him making him jump. "You wanna see something really scary?"
Nightfright grabs the two folds on his chest and rips them open, exposing Zombozo to a horrifying sight. Zombozo's cable jerks him backward in fear. He falls to the ground and panicking backs up. Nightfright slowly floats to him. "Oh, now don't tell me you're afraid of old Night...fright?" His head twists to the end.
Zombozo is shaking in fear. "Please...no more! No More..."
Nightfright simply does a quick face scare at him and simple, "Boo!"
Zombozo's head suddenly expands like a balloon and his entire body explodes into confetti. Nightfright looks at this as such a weird look. "Woah! That kind of even freaked me out!"
Nightfright de-transforms into Gus and runs over to Luz whose body returns to normal.
Luz waking up, sees Gus and Amity, both smiling in relief. "Wha...Amity...Gus...what happened?"
"Let's just say...the circus we intend is strange," Amity said as Gus nodded.
Back in the stadium, everyone started to get helped but the medic and police arrested the circus who tried to kidnap them.
Eda sees Luz sitting on an RV's steps. "You sure give us a scare?"
Luz grabbed a cup from Amity who sat next to her. "Yeah, like my own life nothing but laughter for me,"
"Well we glad you are now alright," Amity said patting Luz's shoulder.
"Yeah, especially me!" King shouted landing on Luz's lap. "Where's Gus?"
"Oh he getting something for certain two guests of ours," Willow said looking in the RV.
Gus walked through the stadium, finally getting cash. "Hope they loved it there,"
"We sorry coach," Spoke in April's voice.
He turns to see her and the other cheerleader members talking to her, with a lady with dark skin, brown eyes, black long dreads, a tight jersey outfit white sneakers, and a whistle. Nametag says. "Nina Teresy."
"We're almost there, but we were captured by a crazy clown, it's not our fault," Kelly said with a frown.
"Girls...you know can't let go, every action you done leads to something...thought teaches you girls about being a cheerleader is about courage your teams and school, not just popularity... especially this stupid ritual of dating students that lower and prank them," Nina said glared deeply at them. "Sorry, but you girls needed to learn your lesson,"
All of them are a little nervous about their record until certain someone comes to them. "Umm excuse me, ma'am?"
They turn to Gus, who looks at the coach. "Yeah, young man?"
"Just how much do the girls need to reach their goal?" Gus asked looking at them.
"Well least grand restored their uniform, pom poms, and equipment, least a grand...they got enough five hundred..." Nina answered
Gus pulls out something from his pocket, and his phone, once taken out of the case, pulls out the check. "Here..."
Nina grabbed it, she was surprised. "It's a game show prize, you give it to them?"
"Yeah, it's enough to finish their goal," Gus said nodding in agreement.
"But why did you give it to us, you won it fair and square," Lisa stated looking at him.
"Money, not my thing, you guys need more I do, looks of it, some of you are juniors and seniors...I don't your future to be ruined," Gus answered with a smile.
Each of them is touched by the boy's kindness, of all the kids who always mess around, this one is a bit more mature for his age at...least right now. There's no way how to repay the boy until a certain one gets it...he earns it at least.
"Well since you giving this to them, they reach their goal," Nina said making them cheer.
"Well, nice to meet you girls...Be sure you girls drive home safe," Gus said was about to walk away but someone grabbed his shoulder.
April was the one who grabbed it. "Wait...you need something in return, and I got one in mind,"
Gus knows the return is, it's a hug. "Sure what is it?" he turns to her.
"This..." April answered by leaning down and planting a soft kiss on his forehead, leaving a mark. It was soft and gentle, and the boy was in shock, trying to process what was going on. "Thanks for checking G-Man, you sure are our little hero."
Gus getting a silly smile. "Uhh...sure...no problem,"
"Hey, I wanna give the cutie a kiss too," Kalie whined to him and went to him. "Thanks for the saving and the check,"
Gus gets a big kiss on the right side. "You're welcome,"
Valerie rolls her eyes while smiling. "Heh, just this once..."
Gus gets alarmed and sees the girls coming to him. "H-Hang on. L-Let me think!"
"Come here, our little hero!" Lisa shouted she went to Gus.
"You lucky that you cute," Kelly states
"Hope you enjoy this squirt," Shannon said with a smile.
At the entrance, the whole gang was waiting with Buttowski, Gunther, and even Brad with his friends, the leader who was in a lot of trouble sneaking out.
"Man, never know a circus can do that," Honey said
"Just glad all of you are safe," Herald replied hugging his wife.
"Where's Gus, it's not too long to get the tickets," Luz said looking around.
"I'm...here..."
They turn and are shocked to see Gus walking off in a dopey smiling daze with his face covered in kiss marks.
"Gus...what happened to you?" Kick asked raising his eyebrow.
"I give a check to cheerleaders, and in return, they kiss me," Gus walked to them.
"What...that is a load of-" Pansy said stopping what was happening.
Nina and the cheerleaders' squad come in, go to their bus, waving their hands, and winking at Gus.
"Bye Gus/See later cutie/thanks for everything," The cheerleader said as goes to the bus.
The bus drove off, and Gus simply waved at them. "Wow...Dang Dweebus," Eda chuckled in impressment.
"NOOOOO!" They see Brad roars and fall to his knees. "It should be the Brad, not the Dweeb, how could he do it for me...HOW?!"
'Maybe you need to change up a little,' They thought in unison in deadpan.
"Well guys, guess time head out..." Luz said making them look at them.
Gunther who eating funnel cake, stopped when heard them out. "W-What...your leaving?"
Gus wiped the lipstick marks off by using his sleeve, he looked at him. "Sorry Gunther, time for us to start moving forward," He pulls out his phone. "But we can still keep in touch by using my app,"
"Sure, maybe see my stunts, teaches you through your app," Kick said
Gus looked at his app and scratched his chin. "Hmm...maybe can make something new for my app,"
Outskirts of town, the RV parked in a grass field, all of them coming out including Freya and Alya!
"Alright, Hooty about releasing the portal," Eda states
"You letting that tech globe do it?" Freya asked in surprise.
"Trust, even Hooty creeps me out, he does an amazing job," Willow answered
Gus give Alya the cash. "This enough cash for a motel, I'm sure to find a house there,"
"Thank you all...for giving us a chance," Alya said
"Honesty, circus not right for me, always missing out loads great places but leave just one night," Freya said
"Trust me, Gravity Falls is a great place, I know you can make friends and have adventure there," Willow replied
"And becoming heroes there," Luz said as Amity nodded.
Hooty made an energy beam and created a portal Gus shouted. "Be sure to say hi to the people named Dipper and Mabel for us,"
Freya simply looked at him. "All this you being nice of giving me a soda, thanks for helping, hope to see you and others again..." She smiled as she and Alya walked into the portal.
Gus realized that stretching his body. "Well, looks like another job is done, where to next,"
Luz looked at them. "I already told Eda, it surprised me, let's hop on in the RV to see," all of them go to him. "So Gus, you finally get rid of the fear of Clowns,"
"Oh no...it still there...the day will hunt me in my dreams for least a week," Gus said
Once they stepped into the RV, King jumped in wearing a clown mask. "BOO!"
Gus screamed in panic, he grabbed King and threw him in the bed, while King shrieked. "WEEH!"
All of them were surprised by what Gus did, but King did deserve that. "King, you learn your lesson?" Eda asked holding her laughter
King is covered in blanks and speaks in a daze. "Yeah...no more pranks."
"Well hold on everyone, we going to place full of music," Eda said as she started the RV.
The RV begins to drive off and start another adventure.
In the cul-de-sac, the family came back, Honey noticed Brianna holding her glowing lipstick. "Anything okay sweetie,"
"I'm gonna miss them," Brianna said saddened tone.
"Me too sis, they cool people," Kick said
Brad came out of his car. "Heh not so great,"
"He still mad of Gus getting kissed by cheerleaders," Herald said
"So what, who cares about some cheerleaders, I just gonna get other girls with my sweet ride," Brad said twirling his keys and shouting. "Yeah Brad,"
Then suddenly, the top of the machine Zombozo down and crash-landed on Brad's car, destroying it, everyone is shocked at what happened.
"That was convenient," Gunther said
Kick smiled. "And a blessing."
In the big forest, a white cat with blue eyes came into the bushes, jumped on the logs, and then a steel bridge, and kept going until got to the top floor, went in the window...revealing to be a large place, full of many ancient artifacts and books. The cat goes to a man who floats in the air and sits right next to him, he pats the cat's head purrs in delight, and smiles.
"I can sense a powerful artifact nearby," his eyes glow deep yellow. "Someone needed to take care of it."
Whoa looks like it's our heroes taking on a powerful sorcerer, be sure to stay tune for another chapter.
