The plane descended smoothly onto the runway, bringing an end to their journey. Rossweisse, still deeply asleep, rested on Issei's shoulder, completely unaware of her surroundings. Issei glanced down and noticed drool staining his jacket, prompting an irritated sigh.

"Great," he muttered, annoyance lacing his tone. Determined to wake her, he shook her shoulder assertively. "Rossweisse. Rossweise, wake up," he urged, impatience seeping into his voice.

Rossweisse stirred, her fatigue evident as she mumbled, "Issei? I implore you; I am not inclined to engage in work today," her words a plea for respite.

Issei sighed, his aura flexing subtly to rouse her without drawing attention. Startled, Rossweisse jolted awake, her voice laced with urgency and concern. "What?! What?! What is transpiring?!"

"We've finally touched down. It's about time we make our way out of this Airport and get things moving," Issei replied, his patience wearing thin.

Finally aware of her surroundings, Rossweisse sprang to her feet, retrieving her smaller baggage from the overhead compartment.

Issei's thoughts echoed his frustration, "If it were my call, I would've simply flown here on my own accord, but I ended up escorting my plus one."

Exiting the plane, they made their way to the terminal, where the process of customs and baggage check awaited them. Rossweisse faced a barrage of questions about her luggage, particularly regarding Issei's peculiar clothing choices.

Raising an eyebrow, the customs officer asked, "Sir, where are your belongings?"

Before Issei could respond, Rossweisse jumped in, her voice tinged with unease, "I apologize; he possesses a rather unconventional fashion sense for a gentleman. He prefers his attire to exhibit a touch of femininity!" Issei felt a lump form in his throat as Rossweisse spoke, his discomfort palpable.

Within Issei's mind, Ddraig's laughter echoed, "Hahaha! She's onto you now," he teased, mocking Issei playfully.

Observing Issei closely, the customs officer eventually let them pass, commenting, "Okay, that'll be all now; you and your best friend have a good time!" Ddraig's laughter resonated within Issei's thoughts, teasing him for being perceived as nothing more than a gay best friend.

Issei, his face crimson with embarrassment and frustration, managed a grudging reply, "It's fine," all the while sensing Ddraig's amusement at his predicament.

Moving forward, they approached the next station for passport checking. The officer scrutinized their passports, ensuring the individuals in the photos matched the ones before him. Issei had Azazel work his supernatural connections, altering his passport to reflect his current appearance. Otherwise, comparing his pre-time dilated self and the current Issei would have raised questions, leading to assumptions involving skilled plastic surgeons or devilish deals.

Once their identities were verified, the officer cheerfully remarked, "You and your lover have a good time now!" Issei and Rossweisse exited the section, Issei curious about her blushing reaction to the claim. At the same time, he remained unfazed, ready to embark on their journey.

Standing outside the Airport, Rossweisse glanced at Issei, her voice tinged with curiosity, "Does the system say anything now?"

Issei shook his head; disappointment was evident in his expression. "No, not yet," he replied, his tone laced with frustration as he checked the system again.

Suddenly, a notification popped up, catching Issei's attention. His eyes widened in realization, and he exclaimed, "Oh, there's one now." The momentary anticipation filled the air as they both awaited the crucial information that would follow.

Rossweisse, her curiosity piqued, questioned Issei eagerly, "What does it say?"

Before Issei could respond, a haunting, hollow voice resonated within his mind, interrupting his words, "Roam the city," it commanded, echoing through his thoughts.

"Roam the city," Issei echoed involuntarily, his voice obedient to the mysterious directive. Rossweisse, apparently unfazed by the sudden change in topic, chimed in, "Oh, I see. Since we're in Florø, a splendid location indeed, it's only natural to appreciate its beauty. Engaging in some sightseeing would be a delightful idea."

While Rossweisse enthusiastically delved into the details of Florø and its history, Issei found himself perplexed. Thoughts raced through his mind, questioning the origin of the strange voice and his unquestioning compliance with its command.

"What was that voice, and why did I listen to it?" Issei pondered, his mind attempting to unravel the mystery while Rossweisse continued her discourse.

Interrupting his thoughts, Rossweisse turned her attention back to Issei, her tone a blend of scholarly authority and a hint of exasperation, "Issei, are you even paying attention to what I'm saying?"

With practised confidence, Issei recited the information Rossweisse had shared moments ago, attempting to impress her, "Yeah, you were just explaining how Florø means flood, and the ø symbolizes island in Danish."

"Pleasing to witness that you were attentive enough to grasp the information!" Rossweisse acknowledged, a smile touching her lips. However, Issei's reaction was exasperated as he sighed and rolled his eyes.

Undeterred, Issei approached a waiting taxi, speaking in Norwegian, "Hello, are you currently free?"

The driver nodded, confirming his availability, "Yes, I am, sir."

Motioning towards Rossweisse, Issei continued, "My friend and I are new in town. Would you mind providing us with a comprehensive tour of the city?"

The driver agreed, "No problem, just load your luggage in the trunk."

"Thank you," Issei replied gratefully, heading back to Rossweisse. Eagerly, he informed her, "Come on, I've arranged for a taxi to take us on a comprehensive city tour."

"Oh, okay," Rossweisse replied, following Issei's lead. Together, they loaded their luggage into the trunk and settled inside the Taxi. With a purposeful drive, the cab set off, carrying them toward the city's heart, embarking on an adventure spurred by an enigmatic voice's command.

Inside the confines of the ORC clubhouse at Kuoh Academy, Rias sat regally at her desk, surrounded by her comrades settled on the couches before her. In her hand, she held a pawn piece, her fingers tracing its contours with an almost obsessive fascination.

Rias's mind whirred with conflicting thoughts, her eyes fixed on the pawn piece. "I had finally regained him, only to see him leave me once more? And with another woman, no less, in a distant country far away from my side," she pondered, her voice silent but her emotions loud.

Her gaze shifted to the other seven chess pieces arranged neatly before her. Sirzechs had delivered them after Issei had become free pieces, and the pawns had somehow found their way into his hands. A surge of longing gripped her heart, and she clenched her thumb between her teeth in a moment of frustration.

"The desire to see him right away, even though he just departed a few hours ago. He may be a free pawn, but my Valkyrie Rook isn't," she murmured to herself, her eyes glinting with determination. The room fell into a contemplative silence.

Akeno, observant as always, couldn't ignore the subtle shift in Rias's demeanour. Her mind raced with concern. "What is she scheming? Hmm, no matter what it is, I have a feeling it revolves around Issei—especially considering her persistent fascination with the pawn pieces since this morning. Azazel warned us not to push or provoke him, but with Rias's recent behaviour, she might just do exactly that. As her queen, it's my duty to ensure she doesn't recklessly plunge herself into trouble," Akeno reflected, her eyes narrowing in determination.

The others in the room exchanged worried glances, noting the peculiar change in Rias's demeanour. Unbeknownst to them, Rias remained in a trance, her eyes fixated on the pawn in her hand. She stroked the top of the piece, her touch gentle yet possessive, her lips curving into a satisfied smile.

The unsettling aura surrounding her did not escape the notice of her companions, leaving them uneasy, their minds awash with unspoken questions.

Back with Issei and Rossweisse, they remained in the Taxi, exploring the city's various sights, from the lush forest areas to the scenic shorelines. Issei's mind was a whirlwind of contemplation, pondering the mysterious voice he had heard, questioning his decisions, and trying to grasp the true purpose of his presence in this unfamiliar place. He found himself inadequately prepared for the challenges that loomed ahead, a realization that gnawed at him.

Their taxi journey finally came to a halt in front of a luxurious 5-star hotel, a courtesy extended by Azazel. The intention behind this grand gesture was not lost on Issei, who understood Azazel's playful intent, although it sailed over Rossweisse's head, who perceived it as mere coincidence. Issei, however, saw through the Crow's plans.

Taking charge, Issei approached the receptionist to secure accommodations for both of them. "Hello, are there two rooms available?" he inquired.

"I'm sorry, sir, but there is only 1 room available," the receptionist replied apologetically.

Determined to find a solution, Issei pressed on, "Alright, let's get this sorted. Are there at least two beds in this room?"

"Unfortunately not, Sir; the rooms in this establishment only have one bed per room," the receptionist explained.

Undeterred, Issei persisted, "Is there at least a couch in this room?"

"Yes! There is," the receptionist confirmed.

"Alright, we'll take that room then," Issei decided, reaching into his pocket to produce a card provided by Azazel, who, with his vast resources, had entrusted Issei to use it for their overseas endeavours.

"Thank you! And have a nice Honeymoon!" the receptionist chimed in, unaware of the complexities of their relationship. Rossweisse blushed deeply at the receptionist's comment, catching Issei's attention once more.

His thoughts drifted briefly, observing her flushed cheeks, "She looks kinda cute when she blushes."

Ascending the stairs to their shared room, Issei and Rossweisse settled in, each claiming their chosen spot. Issei made himself comfortable on the couch while Rossweisse gracefully occupied the bed.

"Indeed, I am aware of the height difference between us," Rossweisse acknowledged, her tone polite. "If you prefer, I can gladly occupy the couch instead. Considering your stature, this bed should provide ample space for your comfort."

Issei waved off her concern with confidence. "No need to worry. I'll handle it," he assured her, his demeanour self-assured.

Curiosity piqued, Issei began to explore their lodgings. He cast a glance out the window, where the picturesque view of the shore and ocean greeted him. Satisfied, he moved on to inspect the bathroom.

"I'm going to take a quick shower. I'll return shortly," he informed Rossweisse, who nodded in acknowledgment.

As Issei undressed and stepped into the shower, his thoughts turned critical. "This shower is ridiculously cramped. It's like they designed it for hobbits," he grumbled internally, voicing his displeasure to Ddraig.

Ddraig's amused voice sounded in his mind, "Partner, not everyone possesses the grand stature of nearly two meters, ye know."

Growing frustrated, Issei pondered an alternative. "Fuck this; I'll simply open a portal to my dimension and take a refreshing shower there," he resolved. With determination, he conjured a portal within the bathroom, stepping into it. Uncharacteristically, he left the portal open, a decision that would soon prove significant.

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, Rossweisse noticed that the shower remained ominously silent, devoid of the familiar sound of running water. Concern etched her voice as she called out, "Issei? Are you there?" Her inquiry hung in the air, unanswered and met with a chilling silence.

Undeterred, she tried again, her tone laced with eagerness, "Issei? Once more, I call upon Issei, eagerly awaiting his reply." Still, there was no response, leaving her worry deepening.

Rossweisse, now deeply troubled, approached the door and knocked gently, her voice trembling with concern, "Issei, I'm growing concerned. Are you alright?" Yet again, her words echoed back to her, unanswered.

Driven by her growing apprehension, she cautiously pushed the door open, her eyes widening in surprise as she discovered a rift in the middle of the bathroom. "Oh," she uttered in realization, her curiosity piqued.

Stepping into the bathroom, she inspected the mysterious rift, her mind racing with thoughts. "This must lead to his other dimension," she deduced, marvelling at the inexplicable phenomenon before her.

Braving her curiosity, Rossweisse poked her head inside, finding herself in Issei's bedroom. As her eyes roamed the vast space, she couldn't help but contemplate, "Upon hearing Azazel's revelation about residing within his pocket dimension alone, is this the very space he referred to?" The room was surprisingly vast, with carefully arranged furniture and a sense of solitude.

Her attention was drawn to the sound of water running, and she followed it to discover two double doors. One led to the bathroom, and the other opened into a massive walk-in wardrobe. Rossweisse marvelled at the luxurious setup, her thoughts racing to understand Issei's choice.

"Hmm, it appears he must have felt suffocated in this bathroom, prompting him to utilize his own," she mused, comprehending his need for space. "I suppose it must be quite pleasant residing within a spacious chamber all on your own. Now, I comprehend his choice to dwell in this abode."

As the water turned off, Rossweisse decided to retreat, backing away and closing the door to the other Dimension. Needing to divert her attention, she pretended to be engrossed in one of the brochures on the bedside table.

However, her eyes widened as she stumbled upon something unexpected. "Wait, hold on, Honey Moon Resort!? Do all those people we passed by really believe we're a couple?" Rossweisse pondered, her sharp mind immediately dissecting the situation. A hint of pink tinted her cheeks as she vehemently shook her head, dispelling any misconceptions and denying the implications of the resort's name.

Emerging from the bathroom, Issei joined Rossweisse in the shared space. Sensing her discomfort, he decided to initiate a conversation to divert her attention.

"Ah, greetings, Issei! Pray tell, how did your bathing endeavour fare?" Rossweisse inquired, her unease masked by curiosity.

"Yeah, it was satisfactory. Were you just browsing through the brochures while I was away?" Issei asked, trying to keep the conversation light.

Rossweisse hesitated momentarily before responding, "Indeed, that is all I did," she admitted, her tone tinged with nervousness, concealing the truth from Issei, who knew better. Unbeknownst to her, he had sensed her presence infiltrating his Dimension, deliberately leaving a rift open as a signal of his presence in another realm. Issei didn't expect her to peer into it, but he deemed the intrusion inconsequential; no actual harm had been done.

His thoughts raced, contemplating the situation. "Well, that's a lie; I could sense your presence infiltrating my Dimension. I deliberately left the rift open as a signal, indicating my presence in a different dimension. If you were wondering why I didn't acknowledge your attempts to reach me, I honestly didn't expect you to peer into it. Nonetheless, it's inconsequential; no real damage was inflicted."

Seeing Issei's apparent calm, Rossweisse courteously excused herself, saying, "Since you're done, I shall excuse myself to freshen up with a shower."

"Sure, go ahead," Issei replied confidently, masking his true thoughts as he allowed her to leave, maintaining his composure despite the underlying tension.

As Rossweisse disappeared into the bathroom, Issei sank back onto the bed, his mind wrestling with unanswered questions. The system had remained silent, withholding any further instructions, leaving him in a state of uncertainty.

In the recesses of his mind, Ddraig's voice resonated, offering a perspective, "Perhaps, my partner, the system desires for you to truly relish your moments alongside the Valkyrie. Embrace the experience with fervour and revel in their company."

Issei shook his head, his doubts surfacing, "I'm not sure, Ddraig."

Ddraig's thoughts persisted a gentle prodding, "Partner, for over two years straight, you've been relentlessly pouring your heart and soul into every endeavour, never once allowing yourself a moment to rest and rejuvenate. Perhaps now is the time! All the toil, the dedication, and the tears you've invested in your training have shaped you into the remarkable individual you are today."

Issei's determination held firm, "I can't stop, Ddraig. I haven't attained THAT power just yet." His thoughts referred to the fleeting power he had harnessed when confronted by the Devil Trio, the power he had wielded to save himself and defeat his assailants.

"Why do you crave that power, partner?" Ddraig's inquiry was laced with curiosity.

Issei pondered, his voice laced with longing and uncertainty, "The sensation I experienced at that moment, filling every fibre of my being, was as if my spirit and soul were ablaze. Surprisingly, it felt invigorating, almost intoxicating. In that instance, I truly felt liberated, completely unburdened. The intense heat coursing through me juxtaposed with the chilling touch on my skin enhanced the sensation of invincibility and strength as if nothing could stand in my way."

Ddraig's voice cut through the contemplative silence, challenging Issei's perception, "And what if, once you regain that power, you come to realize it was nothing more than a feeble placebo effect? The way you express it, it seems you crave the mere sensation of power rather than truly understanding its essence."

Issei's response was tinged with uncertainty, "Who knows?" The question lingered in the air, a profound fate hanging over his quest for strength and understanding.

Issei settled down, lost in his thoughts, while he waited for Rossweisse to finish her shower.

"I never realized women took so long in the shower. I thought it was just Rias, being a princess and all," Issei mused, his thoughts drifting.

Rossweisse, emerging from the shower, remarked with amazement, "I simply cannot fathom that dawn is upon us already."

Issei, checking the clock and calculating the time difference, replied, "Well, Japan is 7 hours ahead of Norway, and we left before 8 a.m. The flight was just over 2 hours long." It was 4:47 a.m., according to the clock.

"Grateful for services like Taxi and Hotel Management; otherwise, we would've been sleeping outside," Issei added, appreciating the conveniences.

"We should consider ourselves fortunate," Rossweisse agreed, her voice tinged with anxiety. The mysterious voice echoed in Issei's mind once more.

"Noon, fish markets," the haunting voice whispered in his head, sending chills down his spine.

"I expect us to be at the fish markets around noon," Issei replied firmly, his unease growing.

Stepping away, Issei walked toward the window, his mind in turmoil from the strange voice.

"Ddraig, did you hear that?" Issei's thoughts raced with fear.

"Hear what, partner?" Ddraig's thoughts echoed back, oblivious to Issei's distress.

"That voice!" Issei's voice trembled with dread. "The hollow-sounding one!"

"The Valkyrie?" Ddraig questioned, puzzled.

"No! The other one! The one that told me to tour the city and just now mentioned the fish markets!" Issei's desperation was palpable.

"Partner, I didn't hear a word of that. Are you alright?" Ddraig's response held genuine concern.

"So you didn't hear that voice when we exited the airport or just now?" Issei's fear intensified.

"Nay, I did not. Pray tell, what words did the voice utter?" Ddraig's confusion mirrored Issei's own.

Rossweisse's voice broke through Issei's turmoil. "Hey Issei, is everything alright? You've been lost in thought." Her concern pulled him back to reality as she waved her hand before him.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, just contemplating the salmon," Issei said, attempting to mask his deep preoccupation.

"Oh, okay, anyways, when do you wanna head out?" Rossweisse inquired.

"Let's aim for around 7–8 a.m. I prefer to start my day early and have breakfast to fuel up," Issei suggested, trying to regain his composure.

"That does sound pleasant. Perhaps I shall allow myself to indulge in the flavours of Norwegian cuisine. I happen to possess extensive knowledge in that regard," Rossweisse declared with pride, her attempt to lighten the mood not lost on Issei.

He managed a small smile in response. "I can't wait." Despite his efforts to appear composed, the shadow of the mysterious voice lingered, casting a foreboding cloud over their plans.

At the crack of dawn, Issei and Rossweisse patiently waited until 7 a.m. before heading to the dining area for breakfast. During the wait, Issei conjured a portal, and all the belongings he would have taken on the plane dropped at his feet. Rossweisse watched in awe, impressed by the level of control Issei exhibited over his Dimension.

"Issei, I earnestly request your guidance in instructing me that technique in due time," Rossweisse said, her tone filled with admiration.

"It's undeniably helpful, isn't it?" Issei replied, his mind racing with uncertainty. Can I even teach her this? he wondered. I don't know if this qualifies as magic or not. I need to evaluate its potential and determine if it aligns with my strategic objectives.

Afterwards, they settled on the couch to watch the morning news on TV. The news reporter's voice filled the room, announcing, "The strange lights continue to shower over Norway; researchers say it is some kind of natural phenomenon."

"Hmm, the Northern Lights," Issei mused.

"I suppose, but this situation seems rather distinct from what we're accustomed to," Rossweisse observed, her brow furrowing in concern.

"What do you mean?" Issei inquired.

"Typically, one would expect the lights to possess a green hue. However, in this particular instance, the illumination exhibits a distinct silver hue, deviating from the norm," she explained, her eyes reflecting curiosity.

"Who knows why that might be the reason? Maybe it's due to global warming, climate change, or even the influence of someone like Greta Thunberg. It could be any number of factors, really," Issei speculated, trying to make sense of the situation.

"The shape is quite intriguing, resembling that of a serpent, and there's an uncanny sense of vitality emanating from it," Rossweisse continued, her observations sharp.

"Have the gods of the Norse Pantheon made any comments regarding this matter?" Issei questioned, his curiosity piqued.

"Ever since the biblical influence reached lands like Norway, Sweden, Greenland, and Iceland, the Norse faith has witnessed a significant decline in its followers. As a Valkyrie, I can't help but feel that our understanding of these countries has been diluted to the extent that it almost loses its significance," Rossweisse explained, her voice tinged with sadness.

"I see," Issei replied, absorbing the information. The mystery of the silver serpent lights hung in the air, leaving them both deep in thought as they contemplated the phenomenon's implications before them.

They continued to watch TV, engrossed in the screen, until the time came to head to the dining halls. Upon arrival, they scanned the bustling room, noting that at least half of the tables were already occupied. Finding an empty spot, they settled down, and Issei couldn't help but notice the genuine excitement in Rossweisse's eyes.

"I can tell you're genuinely enthusiastic about this," Issei remarked, observing Rossweisse's anticipation.

"I eagerly anticipate introducing you to culinary delights from realms beyond our own!" Rossweisse replied, her enthusiasm shining through.

"Rossweisse, people like us are out of this world," Issei said with a hint of humour, acknowledging their extraordinary lives.

Their attention shifted as the waitress approached, ready to take their order. Issei remained silent, knowing that Rossweisse would choose his meal for him, eager for him to try specific dishes.

"Let us partake in the grøt, accompanied by a few delectable slices of bread adorned with cheese, and for me, a refreshing glass of orange juice shall suffice. And what shall be your choice, Issei?" Rossweisse decided, her words flowing smoothly.

The waitress turned her attention to Issei, awaiting his response. "I'll just take cold water, please," he said, opting for simplicity.

"So, two servings of grøt, pieces of bread and cheese, orange juice, and cold water," the waitress confirmed, jotting down their order.

"Indeed! That concludes our conversation, and I express my gratitude!" Rossweisse said earnestly, her voice brimming with determination and appreciation.

The waitress leaves and returns to the kitchen; Issei finds amusement in seeing the eagerness on Rossweisse's face.

Issei's curiosity piqued, he asked, "So, what's a grøt? Sounds like something from a Soulsborne game."

Rossweisse, her eyes alight with enthusiasm, replied, "Hmm? Oh, indeed! A grøt, you see, is a delightful porridge crafted with meticulous care, blending flour, rice, and groats harmoniously, simmering gently in a velvety bath of nourishing milk!" Her explanation carried both scholarly knowledge and a warm, inviting smile.

"Sounds interesting," Issei remarked, a smirk playing on his lips.

Internally, he mused, "She's surprisingly cheerful, quite different from how Azazel portrayed her at school yesterday. I'm hesitant to undertake any tasks from the system, considering the potential for disrupting her newfound positive demeanour."

As they waited for their food, Rossweisse scanned the hall, observing other couples engrossed in their tender moments.

"This is a Honeymoon Hotel. I don't know if Issei knows that or not, but the women here are so happy with their partners," she thought, her gaze shifting to Issei. Lost in thought, he had his hand on his face, staring out the window.

"In the gentle embrace of sunlight caressing his countenance, he appears remarkably dashing, not that his charm requires such illumination," Rossweisse pondered silently, a wistful smile gracing her lips. She allowed herself to indulge in a whimsical reverie, envisioning a future where she and Issei found themselves united in matrimony, savouring a cherished moment at their honeymoon table.

Issei noticed her gaze fixed on him and redirected his eyes towards Rossweisse, prompting an immediate reaction from her. She flinched and looked away, her eyes avoiding his.

Rossweisse's thoughts raced, her inner voice vehemently objecting, "No! No! No! How can you even entertain such thoughts? He's your student! As a responsible teacher, such notions should never cross your mind!" She struggled to banish the intrusive thoughts that plagued her.

[Ability Used: Speed Thinking]

Then, a realization struck her. "Wait, he possesses the ability to delve into minds. Oh, heavens!" Rossweisse internally exclaimed, her voice filled with a hint of distress and concern.

Curiosity piqued, Issei inquired, "What's going on in your mind right now?"

"Um, nothing!" Rossweisse stammered, insecurity tainting her voice as self-doubt crept in.

"Uh huh," Issei responded, his tone carrying a teasing note.

"Furthermore, could you not have simply delved into my thoughts? What compels you to inquire? I endeavour to divert this dialogue," Rossweisse attempted to deflect the conversation.

Serious yet teasing, Issei asserted, "Oh, I already know what you were thinking, but I expect you to say it."

Embarrassment flooded Rossweisse, turning her cheeks red. Her inner voice urged her to maintain composure, warning her of potential manipulation tactics.

"I want to make it clear that this is not a manipulation tactic," Issei firmly stated, causing Rossweisse to stiffen; she had been caught.

"Ah, it seems he possesses the ability to delve into minds and unravel thoughts! A formidable ability indeed. I find no purpose in concealing the truth from such a perceptive individual," Rossweisse's thoughts conceded.

"I don't read thoughts," Issei clarified, surprising her.

"What? Then how are you able to know what I'm thinking?" Rossweisse asked, genuinely intrigued.

"It's called Speed Thinking. I can process information and analyze situations at lightning speed, surpassing the capabilities of most individuals. When I tap into this ability, I effortlessly solve complex problems in an instant, reaching conclusions with remarkable speed. And here's the kicker—I have a knack for predicting people's thoughts based on probabilities, a skill that sets me apart from the rest," Issei explained.

"Oh, I must say, I comprehend the situation. Truly remarkable! It is indeed a distinct and beneficial ability," Rossweisse acknowledged, impressed.

"I can effortlessly devour entire books within seconds and absorb their content to the extent that I remember it as if it's ingrained in my very being, just like the occasion when I mastered quantum mechanics," Issei continued, offering a glimpse into his extraordinary abilities.

Curiosity piqued, Rossweisse questioned, "Why'd you learn quantum mechanics?"

"I had my reasons. Besides, it's not something I frequently employ since I can't fully control the scope of my analysis. Unfortunately, I tend to analyze everything within my field of awareness, which can result in a rather unpleasant migraine. For instance, while I was just attempting to predict your thoughts, I inadvertently found myself anticipating the time it will take for our food to arrive, contemplating the plans of each couple for the day after breakfast, and even stumbling upon an intriguing revelation," Issei revealed, his eyes flicking toward a specific couple.

He continued, pointing out, "That woman over there is engrossed in typing on her phone, determined to persuade someone to cease their blackmailing efforts. Now, you may wonder, what could be the reason behind such intense persuasion? Well, let's just say that on the auspicious day of her wedding, prior to exchanging vows, she indulged in a playful encounter with one of the groomsmen, if you catch my drift."

Rossweisse's face twisted in disgust as she listened to Issei's revelation.

Issei grinned mischievously, determined to share the sordid tale, "Think that's bad? Listen to this. As she kissed the groom, she still had traces of the groomsman's genetic material in her mouth."

Rossweisse's eyes widened in shock, resembling dinner plates in their size.

"Yeah," Issei confirmed with a hint of satisfaction.

Curious and somewhat shy, Rossweisse inquired, "And how accurate is this probability?"

Before launching into an endless string of nines, Issei replied, "99. 999999999999999999999999999999-"

Interrupting him before he could finish, Rossweisse said, "Very well, I understand perfectly."

Trying to shift the conversation, Rossweisse delicately interjected, "Ah, well, disregarding that for now, might I inquire about the remaining time until our delectable sustenance graces our presence?"

Issei swiftly retrieved his phone, set a precise one-minute timer, and placed it in front of Rossweisse for her to see.

Rossweisse's eyes darted back and forth between the phone and the kitchen area, anxiously awaiting their meal. As the timer ticked closer to zero, she noticed the same waitress from earlier approaching, and time seemed to slow down. Issei sported a confident smirk, which didn't escape Rossweisse's notice. Finally, the waitress arrived and began to speak.

"2 grøt with bread and cheese-" she started, but the timer's beep cut her off.

"Um, two grøt with bread and cheese, one orange juice, and one cold water," she finished her sentence, slightly flustered.

"Thank you," Issei replied with an appreciative smile as the waitress walked away. Rossweisse, however, remained awe-struck by Issei's accurate prediction.

As the tension settled, Issei couldn't resist one more tidbit of information, saying, "Oh, and just so you know, a few of the husbands here were entertaining rather inappropriate thoughts about that waitress right under their wives' noses."

Rossweisse, with a sincere plea, implored him, "Please cease your actions. I implore you."

With a playful chuckle, Issei glanced down at his breakfast, his thoughts appreciative, "It looks appetizing." When he looked up, he noticed Rossweisse staring at him eagerly, awaiting his reaction to the food.

"She must be waiting for my reaction to the food; let's playfully tease her for a bit," he thought, wearing a confident smirk. Setting down his spoon, he caught Rossweisse off guard.

"What?! Is it not to your liking?! You haven't even taken a single bite yet!" Rossweisse exclaimed, a hint of embarrassment in her voice.

"Feed it to me," Issei demanded, his tone playful yet assertive.

"What?!" she stammered, clearly flustered.

"Feed. It. To. Me. Otherwise, I'm not eating it," he teased, enjoying the moment.

Feeling a sense of resignation, Rossweisse picked up Issei's spoon and moved it toward his mouth. Instead of closing his eyes or staring at the spoon, Issei locked eyes with Rossweisse, a gesture that made her blush profusely.

"Sin, Sin City wasn't made for," Ddraig's voice echoed in Issei's mind.

"Shut up," Issei cut off Ddraig, refusing to be distracted. He took a bite of the grøt, his eyes widening in surprise. "Woah."

"Is it to your satisfaction?" Rossweisse asked, hopeful.

"I've never encountered porridge quite like this before," Issei replied, displaying disciplined restraint despite his evident enthusiasm.

Rossweisse put the spoon down next to Issei, ready to start eating herself. However, Issei halted her by grabbing her hand.

"What? Are you suggesting that I must spoon-feed you the entire porridge? Honestly, I expected more self-sufficiency from you," she remarked, trying to regain composure.

"Actually, it's quite the opposite. Now that you've fed me, it's my turn to reciprocate and feed you," Issei teased confidently.

"What?! There's absolutely no need for such attention!" Rossweisse exclaimed, cheeks turning slightly flushed as she looked away.

"Well, I expect you to gaze into my eyes just as I did to you," Issei teased further. He picked up her spoon, scooped a bit of the grøt, and directed it towards her mouth. "Come on, turn towards me, and open your mouth wide."

Reluctantly, Rossweisse complied, biting down on the spoon and swallowing the food.

"See? That wasn't so difficult, was it?" Issei asserted confidently, settling back into his seat with a self-assured smirk.

Rossweisse remained silent, trying hard not to blush even harder. Unbeknownst to them, the people around them took photos of their interaction, capturing moments of Rossweisse feeding Issei and vice versa. After finishing their breakfast, they left the dining hall, heading back to their hotel rooms, the playful banter still lingering between them.

As Issei and Rossweisse wandered through the streets of Florø, they patiently awaited the arrival of noon. Along the way, they explored the city's monuments and points of interest, with Rossweisse taking the opportunity to introduce Issei to the diverse array of Norwegian cuisine offered by local food vendors.

Amidst their stroll, Rossweisse found herself pondering Issei's behaviour, particularly his interactions with her. Her thoughts swirled as she considered his distinct demeanour when he was in her presence, a marked contrast to his reserved and rough exterior around the other members of ORC.

"He behaves in a distinct manner when he's around me, unlike how he interacts with the others in the ORC," Rossweisse mused, her thoughts delving into the complexities of Issei's personality. "With them, he presents himself as reserved and rough, rarely showing any signs of joy. However, in my presence, he becomes genuinely cheerful, almost as if he's embracing his true self."

Rossweisse reflected on the challenges Issei had faced, recalling the Devil attack and the isolation he endured. She couldn't help but feel a mix of anger and sorrow for his pain, especially after witnessing his memories through Azazel's perspective.

"Regardless," she thought, torn between interpreting Issei's smile as a facade or a genuine expression of cheerfulness, "witnessing him smile after everything he's been through brings a warmth to my heart."

Interrupting her thoughts, Issei, with a playful glint in his eyes, remarked, "You're fortunate we're in a public setting; otherwise, I would have utilized my Speed Thinking to anticipate your thoughts once more, though I prefer to avoid unnecessary mental strain. Consider yourself spared, at least for now."

A hint of self-consciousness coloured Rossweisse's response as she asked, "Why must you always seek to delve into the depths of my mind?"

"I'm not entirely sure; I suppose you're quite an interesting individual," Issei replied teasingly.

A gentle smile curved Rossweisse's lips as she inquired, "You think I'm interesting?"

"Absolutely," Issei affirmed, his admiration evident. "You're a Valkyrie from the Norse Pantheon, exuding strength and power, but what sets you apart is your remarkable sense of grace and compassion."

Attempting to be humble, Rossweisse said, "Issei, I don't consider myself particularly formidable."

Issei, however, was quick to challenge her modesty. "Let me tell you something. Odin himself handpicked you to be his personal bodyguard. And your talent for sealing magic? You're the absolute best at it. There's no need for you to downplay your remarkable abilities."

"Thank you, Issei," Rossweisse responded, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush, expressing her gratitude.

With a playful flick on Rossweisse's forehead, Issei continued, "No need to worry. Besides, I'm starting to enjoy playfully teasing you."

"Ouch! Hey! Pray tell, what purpose did that serve?" Rossweisse exclaimed, her irritation evident.

"Just felt like it," Issei replied nonchalantly, his demeanour mirroring that of the mischievous figures from his past, causing Rossweisse to feel an exasperated frustration. "In all my efforts, I see you resembling Azazel and Odin more and more! It's exasperating," she remarked, her tone tinged with admiration and vexation.

Approaching the late afternoon, around 3 p.m., Issei and Rossweisse found themselves at the bustling fish markets near the shorelines.

Rossweisse inquired, "So what now?"

Issei pondered momentarily before responding, "I'm not certain; I suppose we'll stroll around for a while and discover something intriguing." With that decision made, they delved into exploring the vibrant fish markets, their curiosity piqued by the array of marine life on display.

Amidst the lively atmosphere, Issei couldn't help but reflect, "Odd, that voice from earlier hasn't resurfaced in my mind once more." He pushed the thought aside and continued his exploration alongside Rossweisse.

A few minutes passed, and Rossweisse, with excitement in her voice, showed Issei the enormous fish caught in the Norwegian borders, some of which dwarfed an average human body.

After a while, as they were leisurely walking through the stalls, Issei's heightened senses detected an anomaly. His expression grew serious as he turned to Rossweisse, concern etched in his features. "Rossweisse, something significant is about to occur."

Curious, Rossweisse inquired, "What?"

Issei's voice held a note of urgency as he informed her, "I've just detected the presence of five beings entering the area, and it's quite evident that all of them possess supernatural characteristics."

Perplexed, Rossweisse asked, "How are you able to sense them?"

Issei explained, his tone unwavering, "My senses are finely tuned to a remarkable degree, and that's just scratching the surface."

Intrigued, Rossweisse pressed further, "What is it?"

Issei's brows furrowed in concentration. "I can sense they're Nordic, but I don't recognize them yet."

Puzzled, Rossweisse contemplated, "Why would any denizen of the Norse Pantheon grace this place with their presence? Could it be that they detected our presence and sought to ascertain our endeavours?" The uncertainty hung in the air, setting the stage for an unexpected turn of events.

Amidst the chaos, a sudden explosion rocked the shoreline, sending frightened market-goers fleeing in every direction. While panic gripped the fish market, Issei and Rossweisse, undeterred by fear, moved towards the epicentre of the disturbance.

Upon their arrival, they discovered five warriors hovering in the sky, scanning the area below while unleashing magical onslaughts upon unsuspecting civilians.

"I'll handle the distraction. You, on the other hand, ensure the safe evacuation of those individuals," Issei commanded with unwavering determination, his voice cutting through the chaos.

"Right!" Rossweisse replied, her sense of duty propelling her into action.

With a powerful leap, Issei soared towards the menacing warriors, his presence drawing their attention like a magnet.

"What's this?! Someone wants to be a hero?!" Warrior 1 sneered, his laughter filling the air.

"He reeks of Devil and a scent of a Dragon!" Warrior 2 growled, his eyes narrowing as he assessed Issei.

"Could he be the one we were looking for?" pondered Warrior 3, uncertainty flickering in their gaze.

"No, we were informed the person we are looking for is a mere child, not this filthy devil!" spat the Leader, his disdain for devils evident in his tone.

"Let's kill him then!" Warrior 4 snarled, her grip tightening on a giant hook, while the others readied their magic circles, their intentions clear.

Issei braced himself, his thoughts racing. "I have their undivided attention now, and no Rossweisse will be able to evacuate those people on the shores who were under attack." The weight of responsibility settled upon his shoulders as he prepared for the battle that was about to unfold.

With a cocky smirk playing on his lips, Issei assessed his opponents. "Hmph, four of them, huh? How considerate of them to leave one breathing for my amusement," he mused, his confidence unwavering. "I suppose I'll spare the pitiful soul lurking at the rear, for he seems to be the feeble puppeteer of this troupe. Surely, he holds the key to valuable knowledge."

Issei's hands moved swiftly, conjuring two portals at his sides. From these mystical gateways, he pulled out two daggers, each revealing a unique and deadly design. The dagger in his right hand gleamed with elegance, its blade crafted from silver steel, complemented by a bulky hand guard that adorned the hilt. In contrast, the dagger in his left hand had a rugged appearance, its dark hue accentuating the carved and etched-out blade, resembling a dragon's tooth.

Armed and ready, Issei's eyes glinted with determination as he prepared to face his adversaries, his confidence unshakable in the face of danger.

The confident Warrior 1 sneered, his arrogance evident in his words, "What's those small dangers gonna do? Are you projecting something?! It has no chance against my hook?!" With a mocking laugh, he charged towards Issei, ready to deliver what he believed would be a fatal blow.

But as he swung his weapon, Issei vanished into thin air, leaving the Warrior to strike at space.

"What?! Where'd that coward go?!" Warrior 1 bellowed in frustration, his eyes darting around in search of his elusive opponent.

Quickly reacting, the Leader shouted a warning, "Behind you!" desperately trying to alert his comrade to the danger lurking just out of his sight.

However, it was too late; Issei had teleported the last second of the Warrior's attack, reappeared behind him and stabbed him through the torso with both blades, skewering him.

Issei sneered, his voice laced with disdain as he taunted his opponent, "Why the long face? Your feeble weapon proves to be utterly useless. Perhaps it reflects your own insecurities?" His words slithered into the individual's ear, dripping with contempt.

The Warrior's face contorted with rage, his fists clenched in fury. "YOU! BASTARD!" he cried, his voice echoing with a mix of anger and frustration as blood gurgles in his mouth

Issei then lifts and turns him towards his comrades; Issei pulls apart the daggers and causes the Warrior's body to be ripped in two. His intestines and guts hang from his upper body, and his upper and lower body leak tremendous blood. All while making his comrades watch in horror, each fear-struck by the act.

With a swift motion, Issei swung his dagger to the sides, causing the lifeless body to slip off and plummet into the ocean depths. The gruesome sight did little to deter two magic casters who snapped out of their fear-stricken state. With determination in their eyes, they conjured water-based magic and hurled it toward Issei.

Quick on his feet, Issei countered their attack by manipulating his ice dagger, instantly transforming the streaming water into solid ice. The two warriors, witnessing this unexpected turn, exclaimed in disbelief.

"What?!"

"Impossible!"

Their voices filled with shock, and the warriors watched in awe as Issei stepped gracefully onto the newly formed ice streams. With unparalleled agility, he propelled himself toward the third magic caster, the leader of their group. Mid-air, he executed a breathtaking maneuver, flipping upside down and rotating slightly, leaving his opponents dumbfounded by his skills. When he does this, he throws both daggers towards the Warriors, which attacked just before; both of them were hit with the daggers; the fire dagger pierced one in the sternum, and the ice dagger pierced the other in the head. Issei then activates both daggers remotely, and this causes one of the bodies to burn up into a crispy burned corpse and the other to have their head covered in a block of ice that snaps off their neck. They and their bodies fall into the ocean with the daggers piercing them.

Issei's determination fueled his thoughts, "I'll retrieve the daggers later." With unwavering resolve, he landed gracefully in front of the remaining Magic Caster and their trembling Leader, their knees colliding in fear.

The plea for mercy escaped the lips of Warrior 4, desperation lacing her voice, "Please! Spare me!" Her words quivered as she whimpered, her fear palpable.

Ignoring her cries, Issei placed his hand gently on her face, his fingers curling around her head. She struggled against his touch, her voice muffled due to Issei's hand covering her mouth. "No! Don't!" she cried, her pleas falling on deaf ears, drowned out by the moment's intensity.

Issei then starts to close and tighten his grip slowly while the Warrior is screaming in pain from having her head crushed slowly; the leader looks like she is about to shit himself.

Suddenly, Issei stops holding back and crushes the head completely, which causes the brain and other parts to get launched into the face of the leader behind her. Pieces of skull fragments have pierced the leader's face, some of which have even gotten in his eyes.

The leader screams in both pain and terror from what he just witnessed.

[Task Complete]

Issei released his grip on the lifeless body, allowing it to tumble into the ocean's depths. Stepping forward, he approached the disoriented leader, who struggled to regain his composure.

"Fret not," Issei intoned, his voice devoid of emotion, "for once I have extracted every ounce of information from your wretched self, I shall dispatch you to your pitiful comrades," he declared, his words echoing with hollowness and menace.

The leader's screams of fear intensified in response to Issei's chilling proclamation, drowning the air in a cacophony of terror.

Issei's gaze fell upon Rossweisse, who had returned after rescuing the civilians, now adorned in her Valkyrie Armor. With a firm grip, he seized the leader by the scruff of his neck and brought him before her.

Rossweisse inquired, her voice measured, "Pray tell, what fate befell our esteemed comrades?"

Issei responded with a cold, calculated tone, "Hmph. I dispatched them effortlessly, watching their lifeless bodies plummet into the vast expanse of the ocean. As for the pitiful leader, I spared his wretched existence solely for the purpose of extracting answers from his trembling, pitiable form. Look at him now, reduced to grovelling on his hands and knees, his anguished cries echoing in my ears."

Understanding the gravity of Issei's words, Rossweisse nodded thoughtfully. Internally, she wrestled with conflicting emotions, observing Issei's newfound capacity for brutality.

Rossweisse's thoughts churned, "I have yet to witness Issei taking someone's life, except for those Devils who nearly ended his own. I must admit, I never expected him to possess such a capacity within him. I always perceived him as someone who would opt for capture rather than resort to killing. It seems he has undergone a significant transformation." In her contemplation, she grappled with the evolving nature of their battle-hardened companion, torn between her moral convictions and her respect for the unforgiving principles of combat instilled by her Valkyrie heritage.

With swift precision, Issei delivered a powerful kick to the leader's side, sending him sprawling onto his back, gasping in pain.

"Begin your incessant blabbering. What compels you to attack those people?" Issei demanded, his tone laced with a mix of anger and curiosity.

Still writhing in agony, the leader remained silent, prompting Issei to lean over him. In a cruel twist, Issei pushed the bone fragment in the leader's eye deeper, eliciting even more screams of pain.

"If you have no intention of responding, then it seems I shall amuse myself by toying with you momentarily," Issei taunted, a twisted grin on his lips. Relentlessly, he poked at various bone fragments on the leader's face; each movement met with screams of agony. Nearby, Rossweisse watched, her face contorted in horror at the gruesome scene unfolding before her.

"Clearly, you're not comprehending the situation. Allow me to handle it instead," she said firmly, reaching out to grasp Issei's shoulder, her voice steady despite the unsettling sight before her.

Issei paused, contemplating the situation before sighing and slowly stepping back, conceding defeat. "Very well, then," he conceded, his voice resigned.

Rossweisse, acknowledging Issei's retreat, nodded her appreciation. "Thank you," she said, her tone firm and determined.

Rossweisse approached their adversary with unwavering resolve, summoning a Rapier into her hand. She thrust the blade into the leader's knee swiftly and unexpectedly, eliciting a sharp cry of pain. Taken aback by Rossweisse's bold actions, Issei watched in surprise, expecting a more lenient approach.

"Commence speaking at once! Or shall I be compelled to sever your feet from your person?" Rossweisse demanded, her voice dripping with authority, leaving no room for defiance.

Issei marvelled at her strength of character, silently acknowledging her as an impressive woman. He mused, "What an impressive woman; it's no surprise she's finding it hard to find a man; any ordinary man would feel intimidated in her presence."

Ddraig, ever insightful, questioned Issei's bravado, his thoughts cutting through Issei's confidence, "And you?"

Unfazed, Issei responded, his conviction unshaken, "I fear no one."

Ddraig's thoughts persisted, a gentle reminder of deeper truths, "That's not what I meant." The unspoken question lingered in the air, challenging Issei's self-assured facade.

The leader finally broke his silence, his voice strained with pain. "We were sent here to find someone!" he grunted through gritted teeth.

Rossweisse, her demeanour unwavering, inquired with a sharp edge to her tone, "Pray tell, who is this individual that has crossed our path?"

"A child, a girl!" the leader admitted, his words laced with urgency.

Rossweisse's piercing gaze remained fixed on him as she probed further, her intellect at work. "What were you intending to do with her, I wonder?" Her question hung heavy in the air, demanding an explanation.

"I don't know! We were just told to bring her back to our leader!" the leader confessed, his voice quivering with uncertainty.

"A potential Longinus user?" Issei mused, his curiosity piqued by the revelation.

Rossweisse, undeterred, pressed on, her grip tightening around her weapon. "Rival Gods?! If such formidable forces existed in Norway, I would have undoubtedly been informed! Can you truly assert the veracity of this claim?" Her inquiry cut through the tension, her determination evident.

The leader cried out in pain, confirming, "Yes! Yes! I'm telling the truth!"

Frustrated by the leader's silence about his allegiance, Rossweisse's determination turned fierce. "To whom do you serve your unwavering loyalty?" she demanded, her voice unwavering.

The leader remained stubbornly quiet, prompting Rossweisse to take more drastic measures. She pulled out her rapier swiftly, causing the leader to wince. She then materialized a normal straight sword and started cutting into his feet.

His screams echoed through the air, the pain too much to bear. "Okay, okay. I'll tell you his name!" he sobbed, tears streaming down his face.

Rossweisse remained resolute, her threat clear. "Go on, answer. Otherwise, I'll cut it off completely and move on to the next one."

"Okay, okay! Stop! I'll say it now! His name is-" Before he could finish, a magic circle appeared in his mouth, cutting him off abruptly.

With swift comprehension, Issei seized Rossweisse, pulling her away from the imminent danger. In an instant, the body they left behind exploded into lifeless fragments.

"What happened?!" Rossweisse exclaimed, her voice filled with shock and frustration.

Issei, his tone unwavering, explained, "Whoever he works for must've placed a curse on him. If he ever comes close to revealing his employer, the curse triggers, swiftly disposing of his body."

"Ugh! We were on the brink of knowing! It's frustrating!" Rossweisse lamented.

"We're good; we've gathered more than sufficient information from him," Issei assured her, his confidence unshaken.

"I must urgently establish contact with Asgard and notify them of the ongoing situation! The Nordic attire he adorned is a clear indication of his rogue intentions," Rossweisse insisted, her determination evident.

"No," Issei said firmly, halting her.

"What do you mean?!" Rossweisse questioned, taken aback.

"No, I mean it. You're not going to contact them," Issei reiterated, his expression resolute.

"Why not?" Rossweisse pressed, her uncertainty evident.

"I must handle this task independently. It's something I need to take care of personally," Issei explained, his conviction unwavering.

"The sole reason we find ourselves in this situation is due to the system's directive. Clearly, it recognizes my capability and expects me to take charge and manage it effectively," Issei elaborated, his voice steady.

"I find myself uncertain," Rossweisse admitted, her voice tinged with insecurity.

"Do you trust me?" Issei asked, his words deliberate, each one heavy with meaning.

Rossweisse hesitated momentarily before replying, "I guess I do."

"Trust me now," Issei asserted, taking Rossweisse's hands in his, raising them in the air, and confidently placing his hand over hers.

Rossweisse blushed, her embarrassment evident. She tried to pull away, but her resolve weakened.

"Very well, should any unforeseen mishaps arise, I shall be left with no alternative but to summon their aid," Rossweisse conceded reluctantly.

"Alright, no problem. Rest assured, I guarantee that I will rectify the situation," Issei assured confidently, flashing a self-assured smile.

Rossweisse's eyes widened, and she blushed deeper. She quickly let go and turned around, hiding her embarrassed face.

"I'll go make sure the body gets completely erased so no civilians will ever see it," Rossweisse said, attempting to regain her composure.

"I've already taken the initiative to manipulate everyone's recollection, erasing any memory of what transpired," Issei revealed, displaying a psychic ball of memorial displacement. He ensured the civilians' memories were altered with his Mental Manipulation abilities.

"Alright, thank you," Rossweisse said, appreciating Issei's efforts.

Rossweisse walks towards the body to get rid of it.

Issei then looks towards the ocean and holds his hands out. Suddenly, two daggers fly out from the sea and land in his hands.

After the battle, the fallen warriors lay still, their bodies marred by the daggers Issei had used to defeat them, two of which were now submerged in the ocean waves.

Issei stared at the daggers, his mind drifting back to a different time.

"Do you recall the time when we attempted to come up with names for these?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of nostalgia.

Ddraig, the ancient dragon within him, responded with a chuckle, "Yeah, Agni and Rudra."

"Clearly, Agni and Rudra represent the elements of fire and wind, not fire and ice," Issei mused, his brow furrowing in contemplation.

Ddraig quipped, "Emo Todoroki."

Issei smiled, acknowledging the humour. "At first, it was amusing, and I could see its potential as a clever joke."

"Hmph! We eventually agreed upon the name Swords of Fire and Ice despite their pitiful resemblance to mere daggers," Ddraig remarked, a note of pride in his voice.

"But Daggers of Fire and Ice lacked that commanding presence, you know?" Issei reasoned.

Ddraig nodded in agreement. "I've been anticipating the moment you would finally employ it. It seems like an eternity since you last unleashed its power, not since you laid waste to that formidable fire and ice duo boss."

"Azazel was spot-on. I don't even utilize a mere fraction of my weaponry in my arsenal," Issei reflected, a sense of untapped potential weighing on his mind.

With their conversation winding down, Issei and Rossweisse, his ally in this battle, finished their solemn task of covering the dead bodies. Silent determination etched on their faces, they made their way back to their hotel room, the weight of their recent actions lingering in the air around them.

X

Issei and Rossweisse stepped into their room; their minds weighed down by the gravity of the situation. The echoes of their conversation with the deceased leader lingered in the air, filling the room with tension.

"If they were truly seeking a specific target, it begs the question, why did they resort to attacking innocent bystanders?" Rossweisse pondered, her brow furrowed with worry. Her serious gaze reflected her concern for the well-being of those caught in the crossfire.

Issei, his expression thoughtful, offered his analysis, "Based on my experience, sacred gears tend to respond to individuals' emotions. It is highly probable that their intention was to incite enough turmoil to elicit an emotional response from this child and trigger a release of magical energy, thereby facilitating her location."

"Not only that, but it's also a sacred gear user to add to the equation," Rossweisse added, her mind racing with possibilities.

"I believe being a Longinus user is a distinct possibility, given his statement about the sacred gear possessing the power to eliminate deities," Issei continued, his tone grave as he sat down on the couch.

Rossweisse settled herself on the bed, her scholarly aura enveloping her as she delved into her thoughts. "The ones we can rule out are Divine Dividing, True Longinus, Regulus Nemea, Dimension Lost, and the Boosted Gear."

"Vali, Cao Cao, Regulus, and yourself, anyone else slipping my mind? Perhaps the wielder of Dimension Lost?" Rossweisse inquired, her voice trailing off in contemplation.

"That four-eyes brat from Kyoto, when the Hero Faction ambushed us on that bridge, he used that purple mist to surround us," Issei recalled, his memory sharp in the face of danger.

"Oh, my apologies! It seems I've overlooked his presence amidst the multitude. However, the tally remains incomplete, with only a mere five accounted for out of the grand thirteen. What of the remaining individuals? Ah, yes, Zenith Tempest does come to mind. Could it possibly be the one we seek?" Rossweisse pondered, her eyes narrowing in thought.

"Highly doubtful. I recall Michael mentioning an Exorcist dispatched by the Vatican, wielding the formidable Zenith Tempest. Apparently, he's also one of Heaven's Jokers, utilizing the brave saint reincarnation system. His name eludes me at the moment; hence, we can dismiss that possibility," Issei explained, his voice steady despite the growing uncertainty.

"What else is there?" Rossweisse questioned, her mind racing to grasp any potential leads.

"I'm aware of the Annihilation Maker, but it seems like someone from the Khaos Brigade has managed to acquire it, although I can't say for certain. Another one that catches my attention is the Sephiroth Graal, and I sincerely hope it remains out of the reach of any ill-intentioned individuals. Lastly, there's the Incinerate Anthem; with that sacred gear, those devils will be roasted even worse than the bats that unleashed the coronavirus," Issei shared, his determination flickering in his eyes.

"With a total of 13, we are left with only 9, out of which six remain elusive, their wielders yet to be unveiled," Rossweisse mused, her voice tinged with frustration.

"Well, it appears that we'll be encountering that individual shortly," Issei stated, his tone resolute as he prepared to face the challenges ahead.

"Excuse me, but are you truly confident in your ability to handle this situation? Typically, when it comes to matters involving Longinus users, it's customary for the higher-ups to be notified," Rossweisse voiced her concern, her eyes searching Issei's for reassurance.

"Don't worry; rest assured that I have the full support of both Azazel and Michael. And just to put your mind at ease, I'll reach out to both of them immediately to update them on the current situation," Issei assured her, his determination unwavering.

"I believe that would greatly improve my emotional state. Your kind gesture is sincerely appreciated," Rossweisse responded, her gratitude evident in her eyes as they both prepared for the challenges ahead.

Issei calls Azazel via his phone and lets him know the situation; Azazel is interested in the fact that there may be an undiscovered Longinus user. Azazel then calls Michael to inform him of Issei's current predicament; Michael knows that this is what Issei has to do on his own due to the system. However, he believes Issei is more than competent enough to handle the problem and anything that may arise later.

Issei ends the call and looks over to Rossweisse, who has a delighted look on her face.

They both wait until dinner to head out and eat the day's last meal. Rossweisse indulges Issei even more in Norwegian cuisine, and the tastes in his mouth amuse Issei. Both then return to their room to rest up the following day. They both need to find a way to locate this Longinus user before whoever opposes them does

X

In the quiet night hours, while the rest of the Hyoudou residence slumbered in anticipation of the school day ahead, a solitary figure remained awake. Rias Gremory wrestled with the ache in her heart, her fiery hair a stark contrast against the night. Thoughts of Issei consumed her every waking moment, compelling her to find a way to bridge the distance that fate had cruelly placed between them.

Throughout the day, Rias had battled the urge to flee to Norway, where Issei now resided as her Valkyrie Rook. Now that he was no longer her pawn, the knowledge that she could no longer summon him had weighed heavily on her. Yet, a glimmer of hope emerged from the shadows of desperation. Through a clandestine trip to the underworld, she had discovered a method akin to the strategic move in chess known as castling. However, the king wasn't swapping places with the Rook in this magical maneuver. Still, he was instead transported to the Rook's location.

Determined and stubborn, Rias descended from her room in the dead of night, her heart pulsating with anticipation and anxiety. As she entered the concealed training room, she opened the ancient tome she had retrieved, its pages crackling with untold power. With steady hands, she traced the intricate lines of the spell, drawing down a magic circle that shimmered with otherworldly energy.

"Rest assured, my beloved," she whispered, her voice carrying a promise transcending time and space, "we shall reunite before long." In the dim light of the room, surrounded by arcane symbols, Rias prepared to take the daring leap that might bring her back into the orbit of the one she loved most.

Amid Rias's conflicted emotions, the surroundings were suddenly illuminated, catching her off guard. Her gaze darted towards the entrance, where an unexpected trio stood: Akeno, her brother Sirzechs, and his queen Grayfia.

"Akeno?! Brother?! What on earth brings you here?" Rias exclaimed, a tinge of surprise in her voice as she hurriedly tried to conceal her actions, her heart racing with anxiety and anticipation.

Akeno stepped forward, her tone laced with determination, "Oh my, it seems I must prevent you from further driving a wedge between us and dear Issei!"

Rias's anger flared as she confronted Akeno, her voice sharp, "Akeno! What have you done?" The room seemed to crackle with tension as her words hung in the air, echoing her tumultuous emotions.

Sirzechs interjected, steady and unwavering, "The right thing!" He faced Rias, his expression serious, imploring her to understand his perspective.

"B-but, Brother?! How could you betray me like this? Why have you chosen to stand with her?" Rias's voice wavered, her heartache evident in her eyes.

Sirzechs met her gaze, his eyes filled with sympathy and stern resolve, "My dearest Rias, I implore you. I beseech you to comprehend, if only for a moment."

Rias's voice trembled with emotion as she sought to convey her anguish, "No, you don't understand! Every moment that slips by without him is unbearable for me! My heart throbs ceaselessly whenever he's not by my side!"

Sirzechs's tone grew grave and determined, his words cutting through her defences, "And what do you suppose? That opposing his words will magically rekindle his desire for you? That it will compel him to return to your side?"

Rias began to respond, her words filled with hope and desperation, "Well, no, but-" but before she could finish, Akeno stepped in, her voice unwavering.

"Rias, we're all on the same page. Me, Asia, Koneko, Xenovia, Irina, it was our collective mistake from the very beginning. We must take responsibility for our actions," Akeno stated firmly, her eyes reflecting determination and remorse.

Grayfia's neutral yet empathetic expression added her perspective: "If Issei had the desire to address and resolve matters, he would have taken the initiative by now."

Sirzechs's voice, filled with understanding, concluded, "Rias, both Grayfia and I have diligently observed the entirety of Issei's memory recordings from Azazel. I am well acquainted with the depths of his anguish and sorrow. At this very moment, he is wholeheartedly endeavouring to cast aside his frustrations and present an impartial façade in your presence."

The room fell into a heavy silence, the weight of their words hanging in the air, tearing Rias between her feelings and the painful truth laid bare before her.

Amidst Rias's heated dispute, a wave of demonic aura surged forth, rousing the slumbering members of the household. They all descended to witness the unfolding spectacle. Sirzechs, noticing the approaching crowd, sighed, "I had sincerely hoped that this situation would not escalate and reach the attention of the others."

Asia, her eyes wide with concern, questioned the chaos, "Oh my, what is happening here?"

Akeno tinged with amusement and concern, explained, "It seems Rias was planning to employ some clever little trick to sneak away and rendezvous with Issei."

Irina, her brows furrowing in frustration, exclaimed, "Why?! Azazel expressly cautioned us against pressing him further!"

Koneko's expression stoic challenged them, her voice laced with scepticism, "Are you attempting to make us irredeemable?"

Grayfia, calm yet authoritative, intervened, "Very well, that will suffice. It appears the issue has been adequately resolved."

Little did they know the situation was about to turn for the worse. Xenovia, seemingly unfazed, remained engrossed in her phone until she stumbled upon some social media posts.

"By the grace of God," Xenovia declared, causing the other devils to cringe in discomfort at the mention of divinity.

Kiba, his patience wearing thin, demanded, "Why was that necessary?!"

Xenovia turned her phone around, displaying the incriminating evidence to the others. The pictures showcased Rossweisse and Issei feeding each other at the Honeymoon Hotel, captured by nosy onlookers and quickly spreading online like wildfire.

Eyes widened in shock, including Sirzechs and Grayfia, but Rias remained oblivious to the unfolding drama.

"What's transpiring?" Rias inquired, her curiosity piqued as she approached to observe the contents of Xenovia's phone.

Realizing the potential consequences, the others hurriedly attempted to conceal the truth. However, Xenovia's lack of subtlety made their efforts in vain.

"Absolutely nothing," Xenovia stated, her voice laced with suspicion as she covertly hid her phone from view.

Rias's thoughts raced as she observed their nervous reactions. "If it truly was nothing, why did she hastily conceal it? And why does everyone seem to be perspiring nervously? Could it be related to Issei? Are they attempting to keep it hidden so I won't overreact? Even Grayfia, normally composed, displayed a hint of concern on her countenance. Could it be that the situation is truly dire?"

Ignoring Sirzechs's plea, Rias pulled out her phone and accessed the web browser, determined to uncover the truth.

In a frenzy of emotions, she tapped on the "Honeymoon Hotel" article, the top search result. As the webpage loaded, her heart raced, processing the information before her.

Images of blissful couples celebrating their honeymoon in Norway flooded the website. Her eyes scanned the photos until they settled on a picture of a couple feeding each other. Recognition dawned, and her eyes widened in shock.

Rias's voice quivered as she uttered, "Issei and Rossweisse."

A chilling silence fell over the room as everyone froze in place, absorbing the gravity of Rias's words. Tremors wracked Rias's body, and her grip faltered, causing her phone to slip from her fingers and crash onto the floor.

In an instant, a piercing screech echoed through the room, accompanied by a surge of her destructive aura, expressing the depths of her anguish and fury.

Meanwhile, in Norway, Rossweisse felt a sudden icy shiver slithering up her spine, her analytical mind immediately questioning the ominous sensation.

At the Hyoudou Residence, Akeno's voice cut through the chaos, urging, "Rias! Calm down!" Her plea resonated, and everyone present joined in, pleading for Rias to find her peace. Amidst the emotional appeals, Sirzechs, displaying his authority, released his aura to counter Rias's, swiftly moving towards her. With utmost care, he embraced her, halting her rampage.

The disturbance roused Azazel from his slumber, his voice groggy as he inquired, "Ah, what's the ruckus down here?" Demonic energy crackled around him, an unexpected awakening.

Rias, her anger palpable, snarled at Azazel, "AZAZEL!"

Perplexed, Azazel responded, "Huh?" Her intensity didn't faze him, prompting her to unleash her fury.

"YOU SAID THEY WENT THERE TO DO A MISSION!" she screamed, her frustration pouring out.

Azazel, unflinchingly mischievous, glanced at the others, mischief glinting in his eyes. "Heh, I suppose she stumbled upon the Honeymoon Hotel photos, huh?" he remarked casually, earning a fierce glare from Rias. The room fell into a momentary hush.

"Hehe," Azazel continued, unfazed, "let's not put the blame on Rossweisse for that little hotel mishap. It was actually my brilliant idea to send them there, not theirs. So, if anything, direct your playful grumbles towards me, alright?"

Rias's glare turned sharper, her possessiveness radiating as she screeched, "AND WHAT ABOUT THOSE PHOTOS?!"

Azazel remained unperturbed, explaining, "I figured I'd give Issei a little nudge to brighten her spirits. She's been stuck in the dumps lately, so a bit of cheering up was in order."

"TELL HER TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE! ISSEI IS MINE! HE BELONGS TO ME!" Rias's possessive declaration hung in the air, stunning the other girls into silence. Attempting to charge at Azazel, Rias was restrained by Sirzechs, his strength evident in holding her back.

Sensing the escalating tension, Sirzechs intervened wisely, "I believe it would be prudent to escort her back to the sanctity of Gremory Manor in the depths of the underworld, where she may find respite and regain her composure."

Grayfia concurred, her voice steady, "I must admit, that's quite a commendable suggestion." With a swift incantation, a red magic circle enveloped Sirzechs, Grayfia, and Rias, and they vanished, leaving the others in stunned silence, grappling with the aftermath of the unexpected events.

With a playful glint in his eyes, Azazel addressed the members of the Occult Research Club, his tone taunting, "You brats better tuck yourselves in and drift back to dreamland; otherwise, the Sitri Heiress might just have the pleasure of putting you in detention."

Taking Azazel's words to heart, everyone nodded in agreement and retreated to their respective rooms, leaving behind the lingering echoes of his warning.

In the privacy of his thoughts, Azazel couldn't help but worry about his dear friend, Issei. His mind whirred with concern, "Issei, my dear friend, I do hope you manage to reconcile with the situation swiftly. Any further delay might truly push me to the brink of my demise." Despite his playful tone, Azazel's voice had an underlying sense of genuine worry, a chilling sensation running down his spine, causing his shoulders to tense with apprehension.

In the quiet of the Norwegian retreat, Issei reclined on the couch, his mind consumed by contemplation.

"A Longinus user, huh?" Issei's thoughts echoed through his mind. "I need to locate them and put an end to this new rogue Nordic faction and the Khaos Brigade's ambitions of acquiring them. But once I reach her, what's the best course of action? Whom should I entrust her to? Azazel seems to be the most logical choice. Decisions, decisions." The weight of his decisions hung heavy in the air, uncertainty clouding his features as he pondered the path ahead.
