Kinoto always frowned, but the current frown on his face was deep and admonishing. "This can't be the P.E uniform," he grumbled out, crossing his arms over his chest as his charge walked out of the girls' locker room.

"Oh? But it is." Kyori smirked at the sight of his disdain. "What are you going to do? Call Papa?" She jokingly chastised, snickering when pulled out his phone.

"Got boss man on speed dial. I'm sure he wouldn't mind." The teenage Shimura rolled her eyes. She was more than amused to witness Kinoto scaring away those that admired her from afar.

Still, it was nice to know she could manage to snatch everyone's attention without much effort. 'Some things may never change.' She uttered to herself when she received a few glares from her admirers' girlfriends. Well, she could only assume that much as they hatefully sneered and murmured unkind things.

At the sound of a whistle, the students quickly scrambled into their assigned row and looked forward as their highly enthusiastic teacher stood across from them. Proudly wearing a viridian, green sweat suit.

"Youthful afternoon, class!" The bushy browed man beamed, expecting the class to respond with just as much vigor.

"Youthful afternoon, Guy-sensei," the bunch of students droned, causing his smile to dampen a bit.

"Ah, I see…" Guy hummed wistfully. "Unfortunately, today will be a free day as there'll be tryouts. But there's no need to worry the next time we meet," he paused and presented a wide grin. "It'll be 140 burpee day!"

At that the class groaned in protest. Even Kinoto turned to Kyori with an incredulous expression.

"He's not serious, is he?" He asked and she cracked a grin.

"Look at him, does it look like he's joking?" She asked, gesturing to his proud smile as he jogged in place after dismissing the class.

"Kinoto-san, would you care to join me?" Guy offered and Kyori chuckled, knowing he wouldn't back down once he was interested.

"Kyori…?" Kinoto raised a brow. He surely interpreted that as a challenge. He brought his lazy eyes onto the smirking Shimura, quirking his head to the side. He didn't even have to ask.

"Go ahead. I don't need you babysitting me all day anyways," she said while dismissing him with a wave. "Make sure to have fun!"

"Uh-huh, sure." Kinoto snorted. "Break a leg kiddo." were his last words before he joined majority of the students in exiting the gym while Kyori settled into the forming line with an excited grin.

"Kyori-chan!" The oblivious Shimura turned to see Guren smiling at her and Deva waving awkwardly. "Good luck!"

"Break a leg… make sure to give me details too." Deva smiled.

"O…kay," Kyori blinked while trying to mirror a smile for the sadist, not that Deva would know any better.

With the line growing shorter, the burgundy haired girl waved at her acquaintances and leaned against the entrance. There, she could witness many students getting redirected towards certain groups that were elsewhere. Luckily for her, it seemed that three groups, the drill team, mixed martial arts club and sadly the JROTC were to share the large gymnasium for today; after all, it was large enough to fit over several classes in case of an emergency.

And while some students remained, Kyori quietly took part in the scrutinizing as their interview begun. It was like watching a talent show with all the judging, the suspense and the gut-wrenching humility birthed by failure. That, and it took her mind off of the red head and the brunette practically stoning her with their eyes.

All of a sudden, she was feeling quite queasy.

"Next!"

A scowl worked its way onto her glossed lips as she blew out even breaths. It was all in hopes of easing her bubbling nerves, but to no avail as a familiar set of toffee brown eyes landed on hers, twinkling mischievously. Not to mention she could feel certain pairs of eyes on her, most likely Fu and Maki.

Mustering the confidence that she usually held, Kyori gracefully sauntered towards the booth, facing old faces head on.

"Look who we have here," The dark-haired woman with striking red eyes muttered, gaining the attention of the newer recruits.

"Kurenai-senpai." Kyori uttered blankly, quite surprised at the lack of anger in her stare.

"This is quite the treat, huh? Never in my four years did I think you would be trying out." The plum haired girl smirked wickedly.

"Anko," The alumni hissed at the plum haired girl's antics.

"Oh, c'mon Kyori can take a joke!" Anko brought her eyes on the burgundy haired girl who snorted. "No hard feelings?"

"It's good to see you too Anko." The Shimura cracked a grin and greeted the rest of the team before she answered all their questions.

But unlike Anko, a few weren't pleased to see her. And she couldn't blame them… she did cost them their future captain.

"Are we seriously going to let her try out?"

"Isn't it her fault that we almost lost regionals?"

"Seriously?! No way in hell she's getting a spot."

Kyori snickered to herself. This was the nicest thing anyone has had to say since she's returned. Though it was far from a compliment, she could take it with a curt grin.

"Hush it up girls!" Kurenai hardly had to raise her voice to halt the chatter. "Let's see what she can bring to the table first." She leaned forward, more than interested in the applicant's determined demeanor.

"Couldn't put it any better." Anko uttered, placing her hands behind her head. "Besides, we need to see if you have what it takes to be a part of The Hedge."

Before she could request a song, she heard a feminine voice openly spat with venom, "Fucking slut."

Whipping her head to the far left of the gymnasium, Kyori raised a brow at the glaring jade eyes belonging to Maki. The burgundy haired girl thought of a few insults to shoot back, only to talk herself down from causing more drama. It was the last thing she needed or wanted anyways. Pursing her plump lips, she raked her hands through unnaturally straightened hair before deciding on a song. Now with a clear mind the Shimura stood, absently nodding her head to the dark, groovey beat.

"Shit or sugar?"

The song was not only daunting, but it was exciting and fun. It appealed to her personally to the point she had a vision and she was willing to do her best to convey just that. In an instant Kyori found her hips adeptly swaying to the sudden alterations in the beat as her feet coordinated well with her gestures.

"Come baby, a little little closer. A little closer.

By hesitating you'll lose the chance. Come on already, seduce me.

Come baby, a little little closer. You will immediately get hooked on me.

What you think about this good feeling?

What will you give me? Pick: Shit or Sugar?"

A smug grin was smacked onto her face at the collective wide-eyed expressions belonging to the mixed martial arts team as she continued with her feverish, siren movements before getting lost in the moment. Nothing mattered, not The Hedge, not the neighboring clubs and especially not Fu and Maki's animosity.

Shisui let out a relieved sigh before shaking his junk and readjusting his navy gym shorts. The unruly haired teen hurriedly flushed the urinal, thoroughly washing his hands while checking his sore jaw. Shisui couldn't help but to grimace as he inspected his jaw further, finding that it stung with every little movement.

'That is the magic of having an elbow to the side of your face.' He mused, cringing at the pain closely following the smile on his lips. Noting to refrain from facial expressions for the next few hours, Shisui wriggled his hands dry and shoved his way out of the bathroom. His catty onyx eyes narrowed on the dusty clock near the exit of the boy's locker room and he scampered out after grabbing an ice pack and his fighting gloves.

Though he was far from late, he knew his cousin, Itachi would grow concerned with his absence. Probably thinking they should resume with their spars once his latest ache was healed or long forgotten. Shisui gritted his teeth, urging himself to smile and had inched closer to the gym as he weaved through the dark tunnel.

"Knock-knock, it's me, please open quickly. It's the thing that suits your taste perfectly.

Do you crave a sweetness? Imma get low, freaky freaky, yeah.

Don't be surprised boy come and shake it!"

His brow quirked at the dark, tempting melody muddled by the double doors. He had forgotten about the drill team sharing the gym for try outs. Rolling his eyes at his antics, he strolled through, and thankfully he had not distracted anyone.

But she had.

"I like how you melt like hard candy.

So hot, bae dripping all over. You are inside me.

Come baby, a little little closer. A little closer…Trick or Treat?"

On the left side of the gym was Kyori with an unusual smirk on her pretty lips as she moved like liquid in a bottle. It was only unusual because whenever he was around, a scowl was always present. Shisui didn't know if he should join in with the gawking or feel frazzled for staring. And here he had thought the burgundy haired girl was borderline hermit. Now, it seemed that she was thoroughly enjoying herself along with all of the attention she stole. Effortlessly might he add with his cheeks tinting a rosy color.

"What did you expect from me? Are you sure this is not a misunderstanding?

You're a candy that lost all the flavors, what the- ew!

Stop annoying me so much. Let me go, don't be greedy.

Just hug me, roll with me. Look into my eyes. You've already been infatuated. Can you believe that?

I can't stop, don't hesitate now… Pick: Trick or Treat. Shit or sugar?"

It seemed that nearly everyone was transfixed by the dark-skinned girl, beautifully transcribing the music into languid and seductive movements. Even Shisui felt obligated to watch her finish and was rooted to his spot near the entrance. His dark eyes were hypnotized by her dramatic hair flips as well as the way her body lowered while her hips fluctuated like the sea before she sunk to the floor.

"You choose, Trick or Treat!

Shit or Sugar?"

Kyori arched her back and then maneuvered into a straddling position, striking a pose as she panted.

At the sound of cheers Shisui was snapped out of her spell and awkwardly sauntered over to his group that was in even more in awe. Especially at Kyori's one-eighty once the music ended. A scowl eased its way onto her flushed face as she crossed her arms over her chest. There was no sign of enjoyment present as she struggled for even breaths.

"So… what do you think?" she asked, raising a brow at both Kurenai and Anko that had yet to say anything as the minutes passed. Tired and anxious, the Shimura let out a dry cough; it was her way of silently saying 'anytime now.'

"I have a better question. Why the hell are you even asking?!" Anko shot back before she settled with a grin, pushing away the shock that lingered more than she would have liked. "You're definitely in if you move like that!"

For the first time since Kyori stepped into the gymnasium, she witnessed Kurenai's red ruby lips tug into a stunning smile.

"Couldn't have relayed that any better. Any objections?" the raven-haired woman asked while the Shimura eyed the blond and the dark-haired girl that was muttering their disdain earlier and was surprised when they remained quiet. "Welcome to The Hedge, Kyori. Risu would be proud." The raven-haired woman winked.

This time a gentle smile graced her face as she darted over to sit with the team where she was subjected to closely observe tryouts. Kyori had found both Anko's and Kurenai's judgement to be on par with Sarutobi Risu. A lot of the fresh faces had integrity, pride, experience and most importantly something uniquely their own to add into the drill team. She was looking forward to being a part of something positive.

But it would be much more enjoyable if Kyori wouldn't have to see Shisui's face so often. Fat chance as the two teams had to share the gymnasium on their assigned day. A sigh escaped her lips as she brought her eyes onto the raven-haired boy. Shisui was giving all his attention to an ash blonde freshman, correcting his stance with a warm encouraging smile.

"You'll have to work on strengthening your legs," the Uchiha commented on the boy's wobbling and caught him before he could stumble flat on his face.

"A-alright senpai!" the boy shrieked, earning a wide yet flustered grin from Shisui. He looked proud enough without puffing his chest out, but he still had.

Kyori snorted at that and brought her eyes elsewhere just in time to miss his curious dark eyes landing on hers.

Once tryouts were over, Kyori raised from the stands and ambled past the doors heading for the girl's locker room. She was in dire need of a shower; her gym clothes were sticking to her like second skin. Especially, after going through a few routines…

The Shimura picked up her pace as she thought of going home where she would be free from Kinoto's sly comments, but not from scrutiny. 'You can't win,' she thought to herself, shaking her head as she peeled off her clothes damp with sweat and sneered at the light pit stains before she began to shrug on her uniform. It had been about three months since she's been active so…

Picking up her messenger bag, Kyori cursed Kinoto while adjusting her straps and headed towards the exit. Only pausing when her eyes met jade ones, belonging to her infamous hater.

"Maki," the Shimura stiffly greeted the brunette with a curt nod. She was hardly surprised at the lack of response, given that Maki typically had more to say behind her back. And so, Kyori continued on with her short and cautious strides.

But as she grew closer to the exit Maki's hand shot out, obstructing her from leaving. Kyori scanned the area, finding that they were the only ones left inside and quirked a brow at the girl openly sneering at her.

"Can I help you?"

"Damn right you can."

"Okay…" Kyori frowned, withholding her confusion for aloofness. "With what?" she asked and was hardly surprised at the icy glare the brunette shot at her.

Maki scoffed. "You can play dumb with everyone else, but not with me. Stay away from Fu."

The Shimura amusedly rolled her eyes at the narrative, discovering that the couple apparently shared the exact same brain cells.

"I get it he's yours and I'm up to something, right?" Kyori muttered tastelessly, not at all fazed by Maki balling up her fists. "Tell me something I haven't heard already."

"Alright." The brunette bit out as they quietly stared each other down before she broke eye contact with an eye roll. "This is your warning."

"Great, now have a nice one." Kyori sardonically shot back with a fixed smile.

What she would have liked to say would cause more trouble than Maki was worth. God, Inoichi would have been proud of her in this instant. A smile graced her face as she saw Kinoto waiting near the tracks for her. The man was also in need of a shower if the sweat dribbling down his face meant much.

"How's it going?" she greeted him absently while she dug through her bag. "Still think it's wise to challenge Gai-senpai?" she asked with a grin deep within her tone.

"Shut it." he rasped out and was grateful when she fished out a canteen of her mother's bottled water garnished with lemons and cucumbers.

"You look pitiful. Here." She tossed it to him, giggling when he practically gulped the water in one sitting, leaving the solid additions as a snack to occupy himself with as he walked her to the parking lot.

"Looks like a certain someone's eager to talk to you," Kinoto grumbled out and sized up the boy that was nearing closer. Kyori also turned her head only for her smile to flip into a frown at the sight of the catty eyed teen.

"You again…" she mumbled, her disappointment very evident as she scowled up at the beaming Uchiha. God, was he always this perky looking?! It was kind of infuriating…

"Yep, me again." Shisui shrugged at her sneering and turned his eyes onto the gruff man.

Kinoto took this as the Uchiha wanting to speak to Kyori privately and moved to walk away. Though he stayed relatively close, giving the teens six feet at most.

"I don't mean to be rude, but what do you want from me?" the burgundy haired girl asked, defensively crossing her arms over her generous bust.

"Nothing!" Shisui snapped.

"I don't believe you and I don't trust you," she responded instantly as her woodsy brown eyes pierced his coal ones for a proper answer. "What do you want? Let me guess, a date or something casual?" she grilled, not all fazed by the flushed color tainting his fair skin.

"Neither!" at that Kyori raised a presumptuous brow. "I mean you're a very beautiful girl, any guy would be more than lucky to you know…" he trailed, glancing away.

Shisui was sure she had gotten the message, but when he saw her gentle features pull into a sneer, he knew he said something wrong.

"Unbelievable." The Shimura huffed. She was ready to go and frankly she's had enough confrontations for one day.

"Look, I don't mean to insult you in anyway. I'm sorry if I came off that way," The Uchiha quickly added with a nervous chuckle.

"Whatever."

His answer seemed to affect the Shimura in more than one way as she abruptly lost her fierceness; her scowl was no longer in place as her mouth slightly parted in shock at his words. And though she would never admit it openly, his laugh was damn cute. She found that she often thanked the heavens for her deep complexion in times like these when she felt gentle flutters stirring in her gut while her cheeks burned and blistered.

"Well… if you're going to choke on your tongue, I'll gladly leave." Kyori huffed out and trudged over to Kinoto waiting at the passenger side with the door open.

"I didn't know you could dance," Shisui randomly uttered.

"And I didn't know you could fight, what's your point?" Kyori asked while arching her brow.

"It was just surprisingly good." Shisui amusingly shook his head at the girl's gruffness.

Seems like she didn't know how to take a compliment well as she sporadically, and dare he say adorably, blinked before slipping into the passenger side.

"Anyways, congrats on joining The Hedge." He uttered knowing that she had heard him clearly. But it pleased him when she glanced at him and revealed a curt smile.

"Thanks... you're not so bad either. I guess I'll see you around." Was what she said seconds before Kinoto shut the door and rounded over to the driver side.

He too had a pleasant grin due to the juicy taunts he would soon concoct and shoot back at the burgundy haired teen.

"Later." Kinoto waved at the Uchiha before he pulled out of the school with seldom glances at the Shimura. "So… you and this Shisui kid…?" he trailed off at the sight of her cold glare. "Never mind."

"Wise choice." Kyori grinned darkly. "And here I thought my Papa hired you for muscle."

And here we have it, another chappie, another disclaimer-

I don't own Naruto nor do I own the Grace's Trick or Treat (amazing song, and I wish I did).

- and a ShiKyo moment, well the one of many along with Kinoto being a pain. Tell me what you think, flame me if you'd like, and make sure to book it, favorite it, or keep it in your history to be on the look out for next time.

Ochaaa.
