"Oh sweetie, you look gorgeous!" Hizume giggled, looking at her daughter's reflection as she gently tied a black forehead protector around her child's waist. "Shisui-kun's going to love this!"

Kyori rolled her eyes as she made sure to moisturize her delicate coils before elongating them. Then she turned to her mother while parting her hair.

"It's not like I'm doing this for him."

"Are you sure? Because you seem very excited." The lady of the house placed a gentle hand on Kyori's shoulder, giving the teen an amused look. "Seeing you this way makes me so happy, I could cry!"

"Mom!" Kyori groaned, gathering a few tissues to prevent her mother's tears from ruining an hour worth of skin care. "It's just a date… okay?"

Maybe telling her mom that she had a date with the Uchiha was a terrible idea. But she promised that there wouldn't be any secrets between them from now on, no matter how trivial it was. Kyori wanted to be transparent with her mother at least, but her father… Well that was a different story. One she wouldn't get into.

Once her mother's tears dried, Kyori allowed Hizume to pick out a dark tented gloss before she hesitantly asked, "Will he be there?"

A small pout was on Kyori's lips when her mother shrugged. Facing the body sized mirror, Hizume smiled at her daughter while she fluffed her burgundy kinks.

"Kyori, you already know the answer to that," Hizume relayed softly. "Your father isn't the type to miss an event despite how much he'd love to." Feeling proud, sweet hazel eyes shined brightly as she took in the finishing look. "I think my work here is done."

Nodding, Kyori tried mirroring her mother's smile but it just made her more uncomfortable. Looking at her reflection, she marveled at the grey high neck, cropped top that stuck to her every nook, like second skin. Brown eyes lowered to her inky black short-shorts, following a small pack to hold her things for the day. Kyori wondered if she was showing too much skin for their date? Would Shisui mind? Probably, probably not.

'Why does it matter?' The burgundy haired Shimura questioned herself, knowing that she's worn much racier outfits during a first outing with a guy.

She had no intentions to seduce her so called best friend. This date was different from all the ones she's had in the past; this would be a trail for them… it was to see if they were meant to be friends or more. This concept was completely alien to her and if she was being honest, it was kind of exciting. Adjusting her maroon arm warmers, Kyori felt as though her stomach squelched at the sound of the doorbell chiming.

"Tampon, your boyfriend has arrived," Sai announced once he rushed to the door, opening it. His dark eyes clashed with Shisui's before he graced the teen with a strange smile. "Hi Shisui-san."

"Oh, hey Sai-kun!"

"I swear you have a death wish chalk-zone," The teen grumbled dangerously as she made her way down the stairs slowly with her beaming mother at her side.

Shisui rubbed his nape with his free hand, chuckling when he heard Kyori snapping at Sai before he flashed a smile at the boy. His other held an assortment of flowers though he wasn't sure if Kyori had a favorite or were into flowers.

Ignoring the seething and denial in his sister's voice, he decided to strike up a conversation with the Uchiha while Kyori worked her way into her thigh high sandals.

"So… you must be special to my sister if she's willing to be seen in the daylight with you." the pale faced boy smiled, thinking he complimented the Uchiha. "Or maybe you're just well endowed?" The boy shrugged blandly while Shisui blushed.

"I uh… I guess I am," Shisui stammered while his dark eyes peered between the crack before falling back onto the youngest Shimura who craned his head. Shisui felt even more flustered when he considered his answer. "I mean, I am special… we're friends after all!"

Chuckling, Shisui bashfully shrugged and smiled while the pale boy slightly pouted as he fell into deep thought, looking at the flowers.

"Liar." Sai grinned, lowering his gaze as he felt a strange warmth bubbling at his cheeks. "Ino-chan said white lilies indicates pure love and red camellias represents a deep desire." Taking in the wide eyes of the Uchiha, Sai regained his unreadable expression as he presumptuously teased him. "Both of which you hold as a gift to my sister." The boy pointed out, making the Uchiha blushed profusely. "Are you in love?" Sai partially grinned haughtily, eyeing the teen.

The Uchiha would've choked on air at the presumption alone. How could Sai think he was in love with Kyori of all people? No doubt he felt drawn to the girl for what he'd call "inexplicable reasons, beyond normal." He also enjoyed being around her despite her showing specks of disdain here and there. Shisui just liked seeing her smile, he just wanted her to smile all the time because when she did it made him feel warm inside. Special almost.

Oh fuck, was he seriously considering Sai's words? He was… just a little bit.

"You are." Sai raised a brow, leaning into the door frame.

"Are you sure this is about me?" Shisui shot back with a bashful grin, ruffling the boy's hair as he chortled. "Because it sounds like you got a crush on this Ino-chan," the older boy cooed her name.

Too bad, Sai didn't take notes from Kyori. Maybe then he would have been able to keep up his cool front while facing Shisui's cheeky nature. The Uchiha's laughter doubled when the boy stepped away, gaining more color to his face as he pulled out a comb and tried to fix his hair. He looked even more flustered than one could imagine. Sai had to admit, the raven haired teen was easy going, charming and surprisingly sharp. Maybe that's why Kyori enjoys being around him, though she would deny that entirely.

"I do not." Sai denied instantly, reminding the Uchiha of Kyori.

"Blushing like that tells me you got it bad, Chalk-zone."

At the sound of the girl's voice, both males brought their attention onto Kyori. Sai was surprised that her outfit was similar to his and Shin's as it was unlike Kyori to take on the customary Shimura look: dark shades of grey with hints of red. But what surprised him more was that she wasn't wearing anything to really impress her date.

Shisui could beg to differ though as he took in every detail, but consistently focused on smaller ones. His eyes traveled from her dainty shoulders to the subtle curve of her torso down to her hips and to his surprise, she had a piercing slightly below the navel. Shisui was no expert but it looked like it had to hurt. Finally, he brought his eyes onto her plum pedicured toes, peeking out from the sandals before peering into her eyes with a stunned expression.

Kyori gently hummed, her cheeks burning under his intense scrutiny before her eyes also fell to her abdominal area. It was a lot better than her blatantly checking him out like she would've done, if it weren't for her mother's telling gaze and Sai's bold mouth.

The first thing she noticed was that he tried to tame his tousled hair and her lips pursed as she fought off a smile. He failed, but he looked so amazing in dark colors that his frizz was far from being a focal point. His outfit screamed Uchiha with that damn high collar defying gravity. And if that wasn't enough of a statement, she could bet a fortune that he was definitely sporting his family's infamous crest.

"Do I look weird or something?" she asked once their eyes met, frowning at the sound of Hizume's giggling. She almost forgot that they weren't alone.

"N-no, I think you'd make a gorgeous kunoichi." Shisui smiled, earning raised brow. "In a drop dead kinda way too."

"Funny, I thought the same." Kyori bit her lip hesitantly, wishing Sai and Hizume would go away. "You look strong, anbu worthy even."

"Wait... was that a compliment?" Shisui mused, beaming at her while holding his composure. It was the first time he's heard her say something nice to him directly and… it was sweet.

The burgundette withheld an eye roll as her mother continued to fawn over their conversation, making it all the more embarrassing. Anbu worthy? Yeah, that was totally smooth. Anko was right, she had no game while she was sober and she was going to make a fool out of herself. Then her eyes washed over the harness that was fastened over both of his shoulders and ran across his taut chest, carrying a tanto.

"Is it real?" she voiced her inquiry absently.

"Yeah, it's actually family heirloom." He smiled brightly, chuckling a bit. "My dad said that it would be there to protect me when he couldn't… can't imagine Jii-chan saying the same."

Shisui was delighted to see her eyes gleam in fascination. His brows risen softly as she lightly traced his harness before retracting with the speed of a kunoichi. He snorted at that; the bite of her lip was telling enough. Kyori was feeling embarrassed.

"Don't laugh." The young burgundette frowned softly before shifting her gaze onto her toes.

"I wasn't laughing at you!"

Kyori fixed a knowing gaze on the upbeat Uchiha.

"Okay, I was! But don't be mad at me!" Shisui pouted before handing her the assortment of flowers. "I hope you like them, wasn't sure if you would but…" the Uchiha trailed off with a sheepish shrug.

Kyori held the bundle, sniffing their gentle scent before she openly smiled and resumed with admiring them. While she wasn't that into flowers, she appreciated the effort he was putting into their little date. The fluttering in her stomach betrayed her thoughts entirely though; she really was happy that he got her flowers. Kyori rarely received flowers from the guys she's entertained before, even Fu who she has loved and tried to devote herself to had not given her flowers on a date. But that on its own was different. This felt serious…

"Oh my! They're absolutely beautiful," Hizume gushed as if they were for her, clasping her hands together excitedly with a bright smile on her face. Kyori nodded.

"I really like them." The burgundy haired Shimura held an amused expression as she gently caressed their distinct petals. "Do they you know… mean anything?"

"Maybe…?" Shisui shrugged, mustering to maintain a straight face while lying to her. "I wouldn't know though."

"But I told you minutes ago," Sai pointed out, not aware of the Uchiha's pleading gaze as he was more focused on his sister's curious one.

Maybe Shisui was stupid for trusting Itachi as his flower shopping companion, but he didn't want for Kyori to find out. Not like this. And he definitely wouldn't like to dwell or be content with Sai claiming or rather exposing his feelings for the crabby girl. If Shisui was ever going to confess, then it would be on his terms and once he was certain of his feelings, or if he was confident about Kyori reciprocating whatever it was that he felt.

Hizume must have strongly agreed by the way she swooped in, gathering both the flowers and her meddling baby boy as she hurriedly exclaimed, "I'll put them in some water, go enjoy your date sweetie!"

"Okay." Kyori shrugged off her disappointment and followed Shisui to the passenger side of his car. She could always ask Sai some other time.

If Kyori was told months ago that she would be on a date with Uchiha Shisui she would've snorted, huffed and thoroughly insisted that it was an utterly delusional thought.

She could beg to differ now, though.

Here she was, on a date with her amazing friend and although he couldn't tell, her heart was racing. Loudly drumming against her chest whenever he'd say something idiotically cheesy or drape his arm over her shoulder. His laughter, combatted her aloofness as he teased her during their typical, playful bouts. Kyori could deny all she wanted, but being this close to Shisui was not just foreign. It was exciting and she was enjoying his company, like always. But with this being a date, she refrained from calling him names, leaving her with very little to say. Which wasn't all that unusual, but it was still very noticeable.

"You know, you're kinda quiet," The Uchiha pointed out, smirking at her while leveling his dark eyes on the burgundy haired girl. She was quick to bring most of her attention on the stuffed bread he purchased for her.

Kyori scoffed, biting back her knack to say mean things to him. "Well, I'm eating."

"I know, but well…" Shisui shrugged lightheartedly and Kyori felt as though her eye balls were begging to rotate within her sockets. "It almost seems like you're nervous, are you finally falling for me?" he cooed as he playfully questioned her, bringing her closer until she softly glared at him.

"As if!" Kyori cursed herself for falling for the bait, and he chuckled at her shoving him away. "There's no way I'd fall for a flirt that uses guy-liner. Ever," She jokingly spat.

God… it was painfully obvious since she felt butterflies whenever he smiled, especially if she was the cause. Even Shisui picked up on it; he could tell just by her snubbing that she was solely joking. And if only to entertain her, he challenged her glare with mischievous catty eyes.

"Bet?"

Looking away from her current source of embarrassment, Kyori walked silently beside Shisui until he reached for her hand.

"Bet." She hesitated briefly then placed her hand in his, only for her eyes to widened in disbelief as he brought her closer.

"So," Shisui started, smirking like a mad man and Kyori felt that his point was already proven in seconds. But he wasn't done teasing, so she stuck with her front. "If I were to kiss you right now, what would you do?" he raised an amused brow.

The hairs on the back of her neck risen the instant she felt his other hand wrap its way around her waist as his eyes fell onto her sugared lips.

"I don't think you're stupid enough to test me," She bit out lowly and her defensive glare fell as her eyes followed his. When she realized that he was gazing at her lips, Kyori held back a sharp intake of breath. Had he seriously wanted to test her bluff? More importantly, would he actually kiss her right here, and now? The Shimura has imagined this moment a while back and she declared that it wouldn't be very Shisui-like if he hadn't tease her or was willing to wait for a kiss.

The boy was a slut for provoking her and despite knowing that, she kept falling for every trap he planted. Kyori could easily avoid this, but she didn't really want to. She definitely felt something, almost akin to sparks. Chocolate brown eyes coyly batted and while they lowered onto his lips, Kyori tasted her own while thinking of Shisui's. Already, had she felt a deep hankering to grab a fist full of his hair and just, kiss him. It wouldn't be remotely like those chaste, abrupt kisses that the freshman girls at school shrieked about; it would be one that conveyed her every thought of him, and it would undoubtedly be egged on by every nerve telling her to do so.

But it would only inflate his obnoxious ego and knowing Shisui, he wouldn't let her live it down. Secondly, it would be embarrassing and she would have to stop denying how much she felt. There was no way she was going to kiss him now! He's practically her only friend and if she made a move on a flirt like him, it could disrupt their friendship.

As if her heart wasn't thumping like a wild animal, it worsened when the Uchiha leaned forward and brushed the crumbs away from her lips with his thumb. His lips were hairs away from hers as he gained her full-blown attention.

"You wouldn't." Kyori looked away, bringing her eyes on a busy stand.

"Would too but it's not like you're waiting, right?" There was no playfulness littering his eyes regardless of his tone and the Shimura stared at him, somewhat shocked.

Kyori wished that for once he would just tell her how he felt. Shisui has this elusive air to him, majority of the time and it frustrated Kyori since she never could grasp the full meaning behind the things he did or said.

"You're agitating me." Kyori gingerly mashed his face, cackling when he protested and went back to standing beside her. The burgundy haired girl frowned as he kissed her bare forehead, doing her best to ignore her burning cheeks. "W-why'd you do that?"

"Cause you're way too cute." He gently bumped her hip with his own, a large grin dazzling upon his face.

Then Shisui proceeded to guide her away from the vendors in relative silence, giving her the time to think about what to say. Kyori felt a small pool of relief as they walked side by side even though silence and Shisui often didn't mix. But it was enjoyable as he turned to her with a soft smile, watching her patiently finish her long-forgotten treat.

And after falling into their familiar banter he dragged her all over town to do things with him. All of which, Kyori wasn't too familiar with doing. Usually on Shinobi day, she would be getting some alone time with Fu or accompanying Risu in getting plastered. And while going booth to booth hadn't seem as eventful, Kyori was enjoying her time finding that the Uchiha was quite the active competitor. They barely had time to sit before he gave her puppy eyes. No doubt he wanted something.

"What now?" She asked, glancing at him expectantly.

"Dance with me?" the raven-haired teen requested, earning a snort from the girl. "Please?"

"Alright." Kyori rolled her eyes, trying to play it cool but she happily guided him through the sea of people dancing to the festive music.

Though it was not to her liking, seeing him dance was an irresistible curiosity she held. Kyori raised a brow as she observed the Uchiha happily partaking in a smooth two step. Shamelessly the burgundette cackled at her date bobbing his head to beat.

"Not bad," Kyori hummed.

"Really?" He sheepishly smiled. At least he was quick on his feet and was confident in his moves.

"Not good either." Kyori shrugged, grinning as he took initiative and placed his hands on her waist.

She swore she would've turned to putty if his hands fell along her ass. That would've end her. Thankfully, Shisui's a gentlemen and he hadn't mind when she went as far as looping her arms around his nape in order to take the lead during a slow song. It happened to be one of her personal favorites. Kyori's hands grew clammy whenever she stared into piercing onyx while swaying her hips.

'Why does he have to stare at me like that?' Kyori sighed softly, her heart rapidly throbbed as her eyes lowered onto his lips. They were turned slightly downward and he appeared to be in deep thought while keeping up with her. They looked so amazingly kissable and all the suspense had her wondering how would he react if she were to fetch them? Would he want her to be assertive?

Kyori looked elsewhere, flustered at her thoughts.

In actuality, the raven haired teen was practically ready to swallow his tongue. If he was a tease, then the Shimura was a sadist. It was like Kyori was unaware of the affect she was having on him, or she simply wanted to see him squirm. But he drowned in uncertainty as she continued to quietly recite lyrics while grinding against his thigh. She brought him so close that her warmth and fruity scent wafted all around him and then his eyes met her amused knowing ones.

She was a sadist.

"You're awfully quiet. It almost seems like you're nervous?" Kyori teased, snickering when his cheeks held a light rosy tinge to them. "Blushing?"

"You really are cruel, using my own words against me." The Uchiha pouted, standing taller. "Who would've known you'd be a minx under all those scowls?"

"Shut up!" the Shimura grumbled and her heart fluttered a tad when he laughed at her, making her flustered with his smug smirk and dark gaze.

Damn those Uchiha genes.

"Kyori," Shisui blew out coolly while he admired the agitation on her face.

It was strangely one of his favorite expressions on her. Seeing her eyes glimmering fiercely, paired with her glossed bottom lip protruding while her brows furrowed. It did something unworldly to him.

"Why are you doing this to me?"

However, she had failed to take in his words. Shisui instantly knew something was wrong the moment he felt her body tense. And as his eyes found hers, glowering. He followed her gaze and grimaced.

Kyori's brown eyes stared blankly at the sea foam eyes belonging to Maki. The girl held a cocky grin as she abruptly kissed the red head, all in hopes to spite the burgundette. It worked; Kyori felt as though her heart squirmed with disgust at the sight of Fu getting lost in Maki. Openly, she sneered when the dark haired girl practically swallowed his tongue.

"Does it bother you? Seeing them like that I mean…" Shisui reluctantly asked.

Kyori gave him a tasteless look instead of answering. Even the raging butterflies in her stomach has vanished once she got a glimpse of them; it felt like the old times all over again. She shouldn't care, but sometimes seeing them together brought back familiar waves of hurt. The burgundy haired Shimura shrugged it off as she had no reason to care. She was done falling for the bait, especially since she knew Fu wanted to make her jealous while Maki was purely making a concise statement to spite her. Kyori snickered as the Uchiha quirked a brow at her, growing even more interested at the sight of her shaking her head.

Holding his prying gaze, the burgundette's index absently stroked the handle of his tanto. "Did I tell you she confronted me on Friday?"

"Really? What happened?" Shisui asked, quickly glancing at the redhead and the fussy brunette. "Don't tell me you girls fought over him!"

Kyori scowled in disbelief. "Other than her throwing a fit and me getting the last laugh? Nothing."

"Still, you really have to be careful. Don't let her get to you."

"Yeah…I know, but sometimes it's hard!" the Shimura shamefully expressed.

"It doesn't have to be," Shisui breathed out, and Kyori finally realized just how close she was to him. Assessing her flustered expression, the raven haired teen held her there before she could pull away. As his hands laid at her waist with no intent to assess the rest of her shape, Kyori felt her blood swimming through her veins. With a smirk Shisui leaned forward, his lips were parallel to her parted ones as those dark eyes locked on hers. "You know that I would, right?"

"Y-you would what?" the Shimura sputtered incredulously, waiting for an explanation.

"I would kiss you… I could, right now. If you wanted."

Pulling back, her hands fell to his muscled chest and her cheeks burned, rivaling the hottest july as they held each others' gaze. She was then reminded of that day he fell on top of her. Though she didn't want to admit it, she had refused to dismiss the fact that Shisui was toned, hard absolutely everywhere. It felt like his muscles were dipped in steel as she failed at overpowering him.

Kyori frowned, not believing anything he was saying. "You shouldn't joke around like that!"

"What makes you think that I'm joking?" He asked her without a teasing smirk in sight. The burgundette blinked sporadically and unknowingly held her breath as he lowered himself to her height, bringing his lips so close they faintly moved hairs away from hers. "You're an amazingly beautiful girl, that I happen to thoroughly admire," Shisui muttered with his lips tugging into a small pout as her brows furrowed in skepticism. "Of course, I'd kiss you."

"You're serious?" she reluctantly asked, her voice shrinking. Smoldering obsidian eyes grew hazy as he leered into her puzzled woodsy eyes and his lips fell into a soft frown. But before he could voice anything more, a stony voice sounded.

"It seems I have finally found you."

Both teens jolted apart from each other and brought their eyes on the head of ROOT investigations. Shisui brought a hand up to his nape, rubbing it with a sheepish grin. "Hey there, Shimura-san!"

"Daughter," Danzo grumbled.

Kyori grew stiff, dreading the frigid tone her father used to address her. "Papa." A hurtful scowl fell on her face when he ignored Shisui's presence entirely even though he greeted him. Danzo glared in response to the Uchiha teen smiling at him. What an act! The boy switched from dirty dancing with his little girl to a respectful young man in an instant. According to Danzo alone, Shisui was a prime example of what that accursed clan could offer: spineless manipulators.

Then he peered at his daughter, holding back his tongue full of disapproval. "I heard you plan on running for Miss Bijin next month?"

Kyori nodded absently as she felt her heart wretch.

"I'm politely asking you to not participate. Do you understand?"

"Of course," She murmured, her eyes were glued to the floor under his disgusted gaze.

"You never fail to embarrass me," he huffed, turning his glare at the Uchiha that was currently glaring back at him. Not that it was all that surprising to Danzo. "Slumming with the enemy… you should be ashamed of yourself."

"What the hell did you say?" Shisui stepped forward, placing Kyori behind him as if he was shielding her from her father's words.

"Shisui… let's just go," Kyori gripped onto the Uchiha's forearm, her lips trembling as she tried to ignore the hurt that came with being shamed by her father. "Please!"

The dark haired teen shook his head vehemently, "I can't do that, Kyori."

"I said what needed to be said, but look at that. You are just like my daughter," Danzo simpered bitterly, holding the boy's gaze before turning his lone eye onto the burgundette. "You have no home training nor do you have any respect for yourself or your family Uchiha scum."

Kyori absently pulled a furious Shisui away from her father before he could react to the head of Root Investigations. Once they were a reasonable distance away from Danzo had she allowed herself to tear up.

"I know he's your dad but seriously-"

"I-I'm sorry," Kyori choked out, shaking her head. "I should've never asked you out..."

The Uchiha blanched and his dark eyes flickered onto hers. The moment he peered into her watered eyes, Shisui felt his anger recede and became concerned about his distraught date. It had stung to hear her croak with regret, but nothing had hurt more than to see hot tears trailing down her face. And again, he felt angered by Danzo...

He couldn't be serious right? Was that all he had to say to his daughter after he's been gone for weeks? Kyori sharply sobbed as she watched him merge into the crowd. Had he not missed her? Did he seriously not care when she constantly worried about him? How could he be so hurtful? How could he imply all those things about her let alone fix his mouth to say it?

A copious amount of tears welled up and if only to save her from humility, Shisui finally embraced her and she did well to hide her face.

"W-why is he like that?" She croaked out as he rubbed circles into her small, trembling back.

But she knew why, the entire reason was holding her in his arms. They had both known and yet, it had pained her like nothing else. The flattery, suspense and joy Shisui graced her with was shitted on in seconds.

"Hey, don't cry okay? I'm sure everything will be fine," Shisui mumbled softly. He felt really bad for her and what had made it worse was that there was nothing he could do to console her. "He's just upset right now and he's taking it out on you."

But Danzo wasn't just upset, the issue was never that lighthearted. She had gone against her father because she had wanted to. There was no point in shedding tears when Kyori had went against his word and chose Shisui in the first place. The burgundette's watery umber eyes peered into a caring onyx pair, her lips trembled as he held her tenderly. And Kyori wondered if it would be wise to choose Shisui again and on different terms too? Obviously, she felt something for him and after today… she felt that it would be ridiculous to deny it. Their friendship alone has caused her issues within her home and for some reason she couldn't let him go to appease her father. Having him around just made her feel… better?

It was more than that though. Shisui made her feel relieved. From the start of her journey back to living her life, he had been there readily to alleviate her loneliness despite her being cold and callous. Nothing she had done could stop him from being there for her… uplifting her. Shisui was so bright, he made her look forward and softened the blows; he had this balm-like effect on her. And although she didn't want to let him go, there was nothing that she could really offer him in return. Her father would ruin what they have and if not him, the Yamanaka would gladly rip them apart.

Feeling defeated, Kyori bit her lip and reluctantly uttered, "Feels like I've wasted your time."

"What're you talking about?" Shisui softly frowned at the burgundy haired Shimura, his arms pulling her a tad closer. "I enjoy spending a lot of my time with you."

"Still… I should just go home."

Slowly the girl removed herself from his gentle hold, sniveling for the last time as she wiped her face free of tears. Kyori was grateful that she refused to wear a full face of make-up because she was a serial crier and it would be a shame if she ruined his clothes or her face. Hell, it wouldn't make much of a difference; Kyori felt like she already ruined the date with her Danzo issues. She hurtfully tittered at that then turned away from the Uchiha.

But being as persistent as he was when they had first met, Shisui gently placed his hand on her shoulder and his frown deepened when her shoulder tensed in response. It made him feel like he had done something wrong or as though she felt that he was unworthy of her trust; it was like Kyori was expecting Shisui to hurt her.

"Please wait a second," he calmly voiced out and her shoulders grew lax. Once her eyes met his, Shisui retracted his hand. "If you want to go home that's fine. Just let me take you."

The drive felt much longer than it actually was… Although he was worried about his date, Shisui could only respect her wishes by taking her home. He drove, bolting his lips shut as he was under the impression that she ended up having a horrible time with him.

Shisui really hoped that wasn't the case because he wouldn't mind doing this again… without all of the crying. Sure he might've gotten on her nerves a few times with all the touching, flirting and begging, but he just wanted to show her a good time. And nothing was better than having mindless fun with friends or someone that was interested in being significant is what he had believed until now.

The Uchiha frowned softly at the girl when she frantically attempted to pry open the car door the moment he pulled up into her drive way. He didn't know whether he should be surprised, hurt, or offended by the gesture since she had been a motionless, sobbing heap for a good amount of the drive. A string of shaky curses fell from her lips before she planted her face against her palms.

"This is so embarrassing." She shook her head, peaking through her fingers.

"How?" he asked, shutting off the engine before he turned to face her.

Kyori peaked through her gaping fingers once more, her sniveling was paired with a deep pout as she croaked, "I ruined our date with my stupid daddy issues."

"It wasn't ruined!" Shisui exclaimed.

He then shook his head of wild raven locks and slowly removed her hands from her face. Her name rolled off of his worried tongue as he took the opportunity to wipe her tears himself.

Watery umber eyes looked away from his bottomless obsidian pair before she sighed. "Yes it was… And I'm sorry."

"It's not that serious. I had a great time and if it was that bad…" he shrugged sheepishly, offering a warm smile. "Then we should go on another date."

Kyori scooted away from his charming face and crossed her arms over her chest as she eyed him incredulously. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was he seriously proposing that they go on another date? And after she had been nothing but difficult with him. Kyori had refrained from doing a handful of activities Shisui suggested, but in her defense, they were too intimate to her and that was before he … right. He had confessed that he liked her!

"So you want to do this again… with me?" Kyori asked. While fighting off her shock, she bit her lip momentarily as she waited for his response.

"Well… yeah."

"You mean it?"

"I mean, you already know how I feel about you…" Chuckling nervously, Shisui shrugged then fell into the habit of rubbing his neck as he muttered, "Whenever you're up for it, I'd love to take you out."

The girl had no clue what to say as the Uchiha smiled in the face of her waning astonishment. While she definitely enjoyed her afternoon with him, she was still questioning this unfamiliar realm within their relationship. And like so many times before, she found every bit of her being refusing to let him go; she just kept reaching for the teen until she had her nimble hands filling in the sides of his face as she scooted closer.

Before Shisui could move his lips to say something in the midst of being corny and suave, the brisk shake of her kinky tresses had him speechless. And with her eyes fluttering shut, Kyori leaned forward and gingerly holstered his lips with her own. Her heart rapidly pulsed as his tongue slid between her lips, gathering her taste from every nook before it brushed against her own. Though she was astonished, it waned as he applied even more depth to her lips. Feeling his lips lashing sweet and slow against hers had casted a stifling warmth all over the Shimura, making her breathless. Thoughtless even, until he pulled away.

Staring at her with his dazzling obsidian eyes, Shisui panted lightly as she batted her lashes while in a daze. They sat in silence, both stirring with warmth and questions that would probably remain unanswered.

"Was that a yes?" he asked the moment the burgundette reached for the handle of his car, making her pause.

Kyori snorted before flashing a small smile and leaning over to kiss him once more. This one was a lot shorter as she heard the familiar honk of her father's car, making her pull away with a dreadful sigh.

"Duh," she muttered still staring at his gloss stained, parted lips. No matter how much she would have wanted to stay right in that moment, Kyori knew it was best for her to go.

And so she did, begrudgingly so with a bite to her lip. Her heart rumbled in her chest as she could still feel his passionate kiss as she trudged further away from him. She guessed daddy issues wouldn't be enough to keep her away from him…

Ochaaa here!

omgggg they finally KISSED! And she liked it~

This was a very hard chapter to write... i had so many revisions and it led to me panning out different ideas. But i am most proud of this turbulent chapter and i'm hoping to adapt and produce fitting chapters. I'd say that i am officially on hiatus buuuuut hopefully I'll upload more often? I really hope so because I haven't given up on this story yet...

So much went down in this chapter! Danzo's being Danzo, Fū is still being spiteful, and Kyori has chosen to see where things go with Shisui, which led to a passionate kiss... let the games begin (hopefully!)

Anyways, what did y'all think? May we all find out later on, so make sure to favorite it, flame it, book it or keep it in your history (mobile users).
